1621  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: FortuneJack making 120,000 dollars disappear from my account! on: April 23, 2023, 08:27:22 AM
If I recall correctly you once wrote that the licencing board in Curacao was not effective and refused to help you. If the situation has now proceeded to a lawsuit it shows you are very determined to fight in something you believe in and to present evidence to try to win your case in front of a judge.

Also, what is very important to note is that since FortuneJack have not settled with you out of Court it means they also are very determined to have their day in front of a Judge to prove they have no case to answer for and that they did nothing wrong.

I do not know what FortuneJack terms and conditions state about jurisdiction therefore if your lawsuit is proceeding, which country will it take place in and do you have a date for the hearing?

What's happening now is that justice will soon prevail, in my opinion, since the lawsuit is going forward. That's a lucky thing to get justice on this earth though.
1622  Economy / Reputation / Re: Changed language in history. Bought? Hacked? on: April 23, 2023, 12:29:46 AM
I think I read about alleged cases where deals were being done to buy/sell accounts on the basis that passwords and email addresses were not altered and also that previous owners would either include wallets with previous history or themselves sign messages to prove ownership.

In the cases where accounts changed hands but the buyer refused to pay after getting the password, well they would have to have access to the wallet too because the seller would never sign a proof of ownership if he never received funds after surrendering the account.

I could agree with your advice, but martyns is not obligated to prove it publicly even if we ask him to.
Yes, doing so would just make the trouble bigger for him.
We can argue about signing an old address, which might not work in certain cases (I'm not going into detail here to avoid giving him an excuse  Wink) and signing an address can also be technically challenging for him but after making 400 post in indonesian laguage, it should be quite easy for him to make only 1 indonesian post again to debunk our research.  Wink

If he refuses to leave a reply here, he wouldn't do himself a favor to get rid of the accusation, which doesn't seem to be in his favor at all, reviewing the evidence presented here.

If martyns is not a hacked or sold account, debunking our research here will be an extremely easy job for martyns.
1623  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ ENGLISH FA CUP 2022/23 TOURNAMENT - Discussion Thread on: April 22, 2023, 06:22:12 PM
RESULT:

Manchester City 3-0 Sheffield United

Mahrez scored a hat-trick as Manchester City comprehensively beat Sheffield United to reach the FA Cup final. If Manchester United beat Brighton and Hove Albion tomorrow it will lead to the first ever all-Manchester FA Cup final.

I cannot recall where and how long ago I read posts from that account but it raised suspicions. I hope he does reply specifically to address the concerns because there is something not right about that account and the fairly obvious outcomes is the original creator of that account is no longer operating it.

I have left a neutral tag for now and will remove it or turn it red depending on what he posts to address the concerns. Thank you lovesmayfamilis for continuously being active and to keep an eye on what is going on in the forum.

I would say, that it's up to martyns to prove that he's still a native indonesian speaker. If he is still the old account owner, it should be quite easy for him to prove it, considering that he has done more than 400 post in Bitcointalk's indonesian section.
My favorite strategy would be to send him a PM, that he needs to prove that he's still a native indonesian speaker to avoid getting tagged, as hundreds of accounts have been tagged for selling / buying accounts before.

Yes, you are right. I sent him a PM. I hope he makes the right choice and answers this thread.
Because ignoring this question will indicate that he cannot prove his belonging to and knowledge of the Indonesian language.
1625  Economy / Services / Re: Safe Hardware Wallet Deliveries Via Amazon Lockers on: April 22, 2023, 06:01:26 PM
On a scale of 1 to 100, how trustworthy do you think the business actually is? It is a hypothetical question but I am asking on first impressions. The OP stopped posting here not long after he created the thread.

Up if someone is interested.

I found the website on Twitter and they have a link on the footer redirecting to this topic. So...

Nowadays, it's not only for americans, they do internationnal orders (amazon,fr .de. uk etc...)  Grin
But I don't get about their "Estimated Taxes (~8%)". What taxe it is about? Not the VAT, not the service fee.

And the website"s name changed to https://anonshop.app/ by the way
(previous name in the original post was https://anonymouslocker.app/

1627  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Thodex: Turkish Crypto Exchange Owner Runs Off After Stealing $2 Billion on: April 22, 2023, 12:32:31 PM

Here was a report from almost a year ago about 84 people including the siblings of the CEO being arrested and about 6 people being jailed: https://www.reuters.com/technology/turkey-jails-6-crypto-probe-including-thodex-ceos-siblings-courthouse-2021-04-30/

In the interim there were some occasional about Faruk Fatih Ozer and Thodex but then came the news of this arrest: https://www.reuters.com/world/fugitive-turkish-crypto-fraud-suspect-arrested-albania-resort-2022-08-30/

Only now was he finally extradited to Turkey and he was (obviously) arrested on arrival. He claims only 30,000 of the 400,000 Thodex investors were affected and claims reports/estimates of $2.6 billion losses were "unfounded": https://www.ibtimes.com/founder-failed-crypto-exchange-thodex-arrested-turkey-after-2-years-run-3687988

Like you, I did not find any reports of where the stolen funds were sent to. I am sure some of the funds must have gone on lavish parties and unnecessary spending associated with scammers who come in to phenomenal amounts of wealth almost overnight but I did not find any report of the where the missing funds went or how much can be traced back to Faruk Fatih Ozer using Thodex as his personal pocket money.

1629  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2022/2023 on: April 22, 2023, 11:10:24 AM
I wonder why Arsenal are losing form, and making costly mistakes at this period when they are just few matches to the end of the season, the pressure that they can't win the league is overwhelming them at this crucial minute, and it's   very heartbreaking.
They are an inexperienced squad with many young players. After playing mediocre football for some time under Arteta it is the first time they are finding themselves in this situation and it must have been a surprise even for them therefore they have felt under pressure as Manchester City chase them.

@JollyGood it seems like Arsenal are crumbling under pressure from Manchester City, and another loss or a draw would definitely hurt their title chances. Furthermore Manchester United will be hurting after yesterday’s loss in the Europa League, hence I expect them to score lots of goals and win in style in their upcoming fixtures in the premier league.
Manchester City host Arsenal soon and most would expect Manchester City to win. As Arsenal dropped points against Southampton in their 3-3 draw yesterday they have already been psychologically beaten by Manchester City even before they walk on to the pitch.

^  I'm not sure if we could say Arteta and his boy are crumbling rn.  I mean they could be but it's too early to tell.  And Arsenal doesn't have to worry about playing Europe so their schedule of fixtures isn't as hectic as City's.  I think we'll see how Arsenal does against City at the midweek after this coming weekend.  Wink  I think they'll give a good account of themselves getting at least a draw.  But that's just me.

And it's funny how the EPL got the schedule just right to face off City and the Gunners.
The timing will be spot on when they face each other. Arsenal really needed a win against Southampton but only managed a draw. Those two goals in two minutes bringing the score from 1-3 to 3-3 will help them mentally but they dropped another 2 points yesterday. Manchester City were and are clear favourites to win the Premier League again.

Here are the games taking place today:

Fulham vs Leeds United
Brentford vs Aston Villa
Crystal Palace vs Everton
Leicester City vs Wolverhampton Wanderers
Liverpool vs Nottingham Forest

1633  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Whirlwind.money | ⚡No Fee⚡ | Ultimate Privacy | Bitcoin Mixer on: April 20, 2023, 03:18:17 PM
Pretty much everyone that used the service after we made the fees optional decided to donate something, so as long as this continues we should generate more than enough to be highly profitable, especially with the increased usage that we expect after the above features are implemented.
If users are paying fees/donations on a voluntary basis that probably means they are happy with the service they received. If that continues then your customers will continue to have a fee-free service.

The anonymity set shows 240 user deposits. If this number is effectively the grand total of mixes to date, it serves a purpose when it is related to transparency however it can be used by your competitors to entice customers to use their service under the (true or false) guise of them mixing in the greater numbers than Whirlwind. Overall, is it a wise move to do that?

Of course it could also happen that usage increases, but everyone will donate 0 and in that case we will have to implement a minimum fee again, but we doubt that will be the case. And as we said before we will run the platform with 0 fees for at least 3 months before deciding if it is in fact viable or not.
It will be interesting to see the format you are operating after 3 months.

If you are reducing service fees to between 0%-4% and at some stage in future eliminate withdrawal fees, how would it be a viable model business for you? The presumption would be for you to make some sort of profit if you run it as a business and if your proposal is implemented in future that will not happen unless customers voluntarily decide to pay a service fee.

3.withdraw fees will be reduced from 5000 sats/address to 2000 sats/address. we might eliminate them altogether after we gather more data

Do you realise your post seems more of an advertisement for YoMix rather than a constructive post? It is somewhat similar to those that were flooding the Chipmixer threads to support it when they were wearing the CM signature.

Furthermore, the post you replied to (nioctib_100) was written on 15th March yet you replied to it on 14th April. That in itself is strange to a degree. In that post apart from stating Chipmixer was seized there was nothing of substance mentioned yet you ignored informative well articulated posts by many members (including NotATether, coupable and SFR10) specifically to reply to that post. I am not stating it is the case here but usually it is one of the giveaway signs that sort of conduct is associated with alt-accounts.

As for your comments about praising YoMix and you wanting for those reading your post to believe you when you said many things including YoMix being original and it not being in competition with others, it is difficult to believe you unless you provide some sort of evidence. As you are a strong proponent for YoMix could you explain to the uninitiated what the benefits of choosing YoMix are over say for example MixTum, Unijoin, Wasabi, Coinomize, Whirwind and other mixers?

Chipmixer was just seized, both the clearnet and TOR site. I can't find anything about it right now, like news articles or anything, so I don't have any more information. It seems like it just happened in the past few hours. Definitely something to monitor and cautiously see if there are any opportunities for taking on more users. Perhaps lower fees for the time being as an incentive?
I still believe whatever issues it is, definitely,it will be settled,no problem remains forever,If it the need for using money to get out of the situation, then they should come down to settle it.But I believe You mix is not going to experience such dilemma and complications like other mix believe me. Yo mix is accepted by so many and more people are still giving it a try and are also attesting to the fact that the mix indeed is one of the best, and are not in competition with any other mix,it is just originally made with the way it is.
1637  Economy / Reputation / Re: How secure are you when unknown user chats you up? on: April 17, 2023, 03:33:53 PM
As I wrote earlier, scammers will try their best to scam and some are probably very determined to do it. It is up to the individual to try to protect themselves from losing any funds they have saved. These traps are still very common and it must be a painful lesson to learn when the victim realises they have been scammed.

There is no reason to cater to an unknown user who initiates a conversation regardless of the reason.
I just came across a scam link with the same motive as the OP mentioned. Initially the victim was contacted by scammers via Telegram. Then after successfully convincing the victim, the scammer immediately asked the woman to invest her money in cryptocurrency by promising big returns.

Thank you for quoting that particular post because mdshimom80 deleted it most probably soon after you gave him advice.

I have tagged mdshimom80 for wanting to buy and sell accounts which is frowned upon in the forum.

hi guys.

I buy 1xbit account.
I only buy accounts that are deposited with crypto and are minus accounts

DM for sell.

You are one of those rare idiots who is trying to steal from victims of 1xbit which just goes to show how pathetic you truly are. My advice for you is to try and grow up as soon as possible.

I have to start going around the forum boards more frequently and more evenly. I do think sending merits without providing evidence of some sort to back up the claim could be (at least in part) responsible for fuelling the action. If I come across any such or similar claim I will ask for evidence.

That's because you don't go much to the Bitcoin Discussion section, as there are many such claims there, which some of us question, but many others don't, and they fill up with pages of comments from members congratulating and even meriting the OP who doesn't provide a single piece of evidence.
1640  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: @RogerVer lets make a deal. At least 60k, my BTU for your BTC. on: April 17, 2023, 11:32:18 AM
According to the article his sentence was: one year and one day in prison for charges related to executing a scheme to steal more than 51,680 Bitcoin

Now considering he had over 51,000 BTC in his possession from the theft, that 1 year sentence seems very light especially when it comes to mind he managed to avoid being caught for 10 years.
