241  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can I ask for refund if casino game has bugs? on: December 15, 2023, 11:48:49 PM
Hello guys, I have heard many stories when person was playing casino games, for example person was playing slots and managed to win a huge jackpot, 100 thousand or up to a million but casino didn't give him his winning because they said slot had bugs and they can't give away money because person won through a buggy slots.
I have never seen a case when casino called player for a refund because slot had bugs. What happens if you think that slot has bugs and that's why you lose? If we follow logic, since casino can deny your winning because they think that game has bugs, you should have right to ask for slots inspect if you lose a lot. Doesn't this make sense? I think it makes but I want to know if you had similar experience or if something similar has happened in history ever.
Casinos would never refund you your money.

How can you proof that they have bugs? It's your word again theirs and we know that the rules and laws are always in their favor.  I remember I stumbled into a law like this where they did you you made an outrageous win they have the right to confiscate your winnings if feel their machine malfunctioned . There's a law for it
242  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you take time to read the terms and conditions of casinos before registering? on: December 15, 2023, 11:36:08 PM
Not always. Since the choice to play ta a casino is mostly inspired by friends, I don't really it. I just my friends judgement. The only time I have read their terms and conditions is when I had help.uness I have problems with maybe deposits, withdrawal, KyC,, then I read it

Because of it's bulkiness most of us ignore it. There should be a summarize or consized version of it highlighted in bullet points.
243  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you regret also for ever knowing about gambling? on: December 15, 2023, 02:12:40 PM
If I have regrets about gambling, I will not be a regular poster in the gambling board neither will I be responding to this. Everything about gambling is fun from signing up on casinos, join the community to debate, rants and banter about gambling in general. It is always a pleasant experience if you do it responsibly.
244  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers trickily claims they wins the bet while they never did. on: December 15, 2023, 01:39:38 PM
Don't be deceived, not every gamblers who actually claims that they won really won.
Some falsefully speculates that they won just because they want to pave an ease to those who has been advising them to quit or limits gambling simply because the gambler has been unlucky to win instead he keep betting over and over without a good bankroll management in their gambling carriers.
They basically do this because they feels disturbed and inconveniences of the people's opinions and advices towards the gamblers unprofitable gambling experiences
Why do gamblers who claimed they've won and didn't win stand to gain by such childish claims. This is very disturbing and calls for campaigns to be raised against gambling addiction because behaviors like these are just warning signs or symptoms. There is nothing to prove to other gamblers about the good or bad experiences of gamblers. The public already knows this and those who will go on gambling will and those who would not, will not.
245  Economy / Gambling / Re: Does anyone find the spate of online casinos a bit uninspired? on: December 14, 2023, 10:56:03 AM
A lot of them seem to be hastily assembled clone sites with very little effort put in and gimmicky marketing. Do you guys have any thoughts on this... plague?
I thought we all know this. Before you register on any gambling platforms beware of those that offer ostentatious bonuses and rewards. Take extra caution with those non-kyc casinos. Beware of those casinos whose customer support are not always online. If you can ask on this forum or other gambling forums about a casino if you are not sure about it.
246  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The need for mental section or public orientation for new gamblers. on: December 14, 2023, 10:27:38 AM
so I'm thinking if it would be possible for a thread or sub board to be created in the form of a mental  orientation section that people can just visit and go through ethics of responsible gambling, share experiences and current challenges faced as a gambler. It could just be used for discussions regarding responsible gambling and do if ones goes through the board or thread, while starting or going about his gambling, their will be check in his jar it as a result of peoples lives experiences he has read.
That thread if it is ever created will be a place of spam. All that anyone need to know about gambling and how to gamble safely is here. The search button is a tool that if used effectively will provide links to all the topics on gambling and mental health, the stories that a beginner need to be aware of.
247  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who should quit, and why? on: December 14, 2023, 09:50:34 AM
If the husband is a gambler and the wife is a gambler, it is only a matter of time before their kids pick up on gambling. If they are not gambling professionally, like say a professional poker player who teaches other about it and still earn on the side to sustain themselves then the both of them should quit.

Remember that gambling is not as the evil bad terrible thing that they have purpoted it to be . It is individuals without discipline who give it a bad rep.
248  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A gambler takes his own life after a loss. on: December 13, 2023, 11:57:41 PM
The crazy part is that gambling addiction seems so harmless at first which for this business man may have been because your so blind to everything around you that all your focused on is trying to win big, double your money or trying to recover an earlier loss not knowing that everything around you is falling apart little by little it starts to affect your mood, your family and even your job and in this case here, your business. It’s a crazy world to live the gamblers life.
249  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can loneliness make one addicted to gambling on: December 13, 2023, 11:38:29 PM
Thank you for your advice. It's important to prioritize healthy and social activities to overcome loneliness. I'll make sure to spend more time with friends and family, engage in recreational activities, and avoid gambling as a way to cope. I appreciate your concern about the potential financial risks associated with it.
There are extreme cases where family and friends may not be present in the same space as you and that feeling of loneliness becomes inevitable. Spending time with them becomes impossible. There are times where even in the midst of people you are still lonely. Some loneliness is accompanied with depression. Join a bowling league, book club, volunteer for a charity, etc. Discover your passion and invest your time and effort into it while you try to connect with people with similar interests. And repeat the activities on a periodic basis. Life is about having stuff to look forward to.

250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which one is fun, watching with bet or without a bet? on: December 13, 2023, 10:57:56 PM
Just trying to get the communities opinion based on their experience about the topic.

Personally, a a bettor, I find it very stressful when watching the game you are betting especially if it will end up a losing bet.

There is an emotional stress attached to watching the game you bet on. I do what I can to get busy during this time. Where I cannot, I simply watch it with friends to douse the tension. While there are times when I say, fuck it and watch the game.

Lossing the bet hurts and I go throughout the next hour or so after the game cussing out the team, the player who I feel is responsible for the loss or the coach. After an hour or so, I feel better and that is all. I get back to my normal life.
251  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you still use Banks ? on: December 13, 2023, 10:30:56 PM
Investing, holding cryptocurrency particularly bitcoin did not and cannot displace the banks. Banks are integral to our existence and economies. There is no time in the world when banks will come to be abandoned because of low patronage or because there are more crypto investors and holders than bank account holders.

Some people may decide to live off grid in a country that allows them to use and spend bitcoins without ever having to change them to fiat or use the bank. Fine. But is is not the reality for everyone.

I will still use banks. And I will still hold and invest in cryptocurrency. It is the fact. Banks just like bitcoin are here to stay.
252  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Security is important in Bitcoin on: December 13, 2023, 10:08:02 PM
Well now that you have know that to secure ones private key is important through the experience of watching your friend, what were the practical steps you took to avoid the same mistakes. You should know that your friend is still at risk if he goes ahead to create another Trust Wallet account. I had expected you to write that you learned from your friend and read up on ways to store your seed phrase safely. That you read about wallet security, clipboard malware, and the other many security risks that poses a threat to the safety of our bitcoins.
253  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Exchange withdrawal issues on: December 12, 2023, 10:03:56 PM
Even if you live in the remotes part of the world, you should still be able to have access to atleast one of these exchanges Binance, Coinbase, Kucoin, Kraken, Bybit. I checked went further to check the top cryptocurrency spot exchanges on https://coinmarketcap.com/rankings/exchanges/ and I didn't find this exchange which the OP talked about on the list. I am concluding that the OP has been scammed.
254  Economy / Economics / Re: On retirement on: December 12, 2023, 09:18:05 PM
My focus as a condition to good long term retirement is overall health and physical fitness - this goal will be in the first year of my retirement. I know it may be boring and lacking purpose, and I can easily solve this by taking on many paid and unpaid jobs out there. Additionally, I hope to have built up a lot of self-awareness during my working years to be able to take action to keep moving in the right direction. People with a lot of life and work experience have a lot to offer to their community, and being involved in community work is something I would do after retirement.
255  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Unknown fact our profitable colleagues won't tell us on: December 12, 2023, 08:19:38 PM
In trading no matter how skilled a trader is, he will most times lose some of his trades because no one has a crystal balls.
Unfortunately, beginner traders are not told this reality. Instead they want to hear that trading is for everyone that trading is easy and everyone can make $10,000 a month trading simply by following a line on a chart. If you lose on 70% of your trade even as a skilled trader then you are not qualified to be called a skilled trader. Your losses should be reasonable as there are losses that comes as a result of the fault of the trader and there are those that are as a result of the market.

A beginner reading this your approach towards trading should be one mixed with a little bit very cynicism and a little bit angry at the world because the rest of the world is there to take your money. Question everything every method, every system every objective is a good basis to start trading.
256  Economy / Speculation / Re: Coinbase App Store rank as a market top indicator on: December 12, 2023, 07:21:18 PM
What I tried to say is that relying on download numbers as an indicator for predicting the price will give inaccurate results due to the ease of influencing the download numbers compared to the price of Bitcoin. Launching rumors such as that Coinbase will have big airdrop will make the number of downloads jumping quickly.
I have the Coinbase app downloaded on my mobile device but I rarely open it. Doing a quick search on the internet about the market is my preference. And there are others like me all over the world do the same thing too. Therefore, the number of downloads is not a strong indicator of the market. This is why I think you are correct because not just airdrops but also free NFTs minting could also cause the app download numbers to increase.
257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google is preparing for Spot Bitcoin ETF on: December 12, 2023, 07:10:22 PM
Google is constantly revising, reviewing, adjusting and updating their crypto advertising policy. In 2018,they did it twice.

In all of these the community should be happy because of the positive impact these new guidelines can have on bitcoin mass adoption. First more people would be exposed to it starting with Google searches as there is going to be increased visibility of bitcoin on its platforms. Secondly, scammers would be discouraged too due to strict monitoring on crypto ads.

o48o asked an excellent question and your reply good. I have had the same questions when I used another online casino. The terms and conditions above which answers the question is also similar to the terms and conditions of the other casino I played at. I can say that we can generalize that this is what is obtainable for 90% of casinos.
259  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Interview for sports bettors. on: December 11, 2023, 09:08:33 PM
4-What can you advise on the new gamblers and those who struggles in sports betting?
Ans ;
Gamby is like a sword with two sharp edges. On the one edge, it can slay your boredom and entertain you while on the other edge, it can slay your finance , relationships, career and life.

Be honest about your struggles with sports betting. There is all ways help and you can find it, if you go seeking for it. You need real people that you can have a face to face conversation with about quitting gambling or learning to take control of your gambling habits.

https://www.begambleaware.org/ is a good website to start from.
260  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The shorter the time you spend the better on: December 11, 2023, 08:34:08 PM
I disagree and at the same time agree with some of the fantastic points that you have made. I will enumerate them below

First, what may work for you in terms of shorter play may not work for the other person. If you think gambling is fun and take it as a form of entertainment, it is not bout the time spent but if you are happy while at it. No right thinking person should spend more than an hour there.

I do not agree with the statement that you should spend 20minutes everyday gambling. I'd say that you shouldn't gamble everyday because of you do, it becomes more like responsibility than something to help relieve stress.
