2521  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Amazon to accept Bitcoin? on: October 26, 2017, 02:52:04 PM

This particular news filtered the crypto world some weeks back and later faded away but coming out now is something I really don't want to bank on until when there is an official statement from the company concerning the proposed acceptance of bitcoin.

Reading the article further cements that its a mere speculation without anything to back it from the company's spokesperson. Acceptance of bitcoin by Amazon will give a big push that other companies will follow for sure but that does not mean everyone should then start altering either his holding or selling position for that. The announcement is expected to happen today but I still haven't seen any to that effect.
2522  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Would you download an trading tool that is google chrome extension? on: October 26, 2017, 01:08:16 PM
Would you download an  trading tool that is google chrome extension? I know that some people kinda afraid that it will be a scam and somehow their information will get stollen.
What will make you gain confidence and download it? what does the company need to have/show to you in order to gain your trust?

I have downloaded several extensions on my chrome. I have metamask, clixsense and I have not had any problem with them. So, aside the security risk attached, I won't have any problem so far its going to perform the task that its been sent to perform after it has been vouched for by reputable platforms, then I would gladly download and put it to use.
2523  Economy / Services / Re: Earn 20 dollars for make 28 post in 1 month on: October 26, 2017, 10:03:40 AM
Hello,i have newbie account and looking for someone who can make post in my place

CONDITIONS :

- Only good quality post
- ALL post have to be made in Bitcoin section, Economy section or Alternate cryptocurrencies
- At least 100 character per post

You have to make 14 post the first two week, and 14 post the next two week

WARNING : Do not try to change the adress mail or the password, if you do that, i will receive an email to my old adress with a link where i can lock the account

Pm if you are interested , you will be paid 20 dollars in BTC

People like Op are the ones ensuring that every effort by the forum  administrators to make the forum safer is frustrated by your selfish actions and attitude. And its not your fault but for those who will do everything necessary to make some cents whether allowed or disallowed.

The primary reason for the email notifications is for people who accounts are being subjected to hacks are notified before its too late. Now we are seeing situations of individual who sell the same account and use the link to claim it back, then this as a control to encourage account farming which I am sure the number of accounts involved here won't be less than 5 or more.
2524  Economy / Reputation / Re: Campaign manager copying my threads/format on: October 26, 2017, 08:41:09 AM
In as much as it is wring for someone to copy another person style without giving credit or getting his consent, because that is outright plagiarism which is frown at evey climes of society whether online or offline

But at the same time, Atrz should have communicated with the manager privately to get his reaction before taking the next step of creating a thread for that purpose. With that, you have given him the chance to either pull it down, apologise or even compensate you for the transgressions.

Unfortunately, he might not even know the existence of this thread which means it does not affect him and Atriz didn't get what he deserves. This will only be subject to several analysis and people expressing their opinions without any real effect.
2525  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Delay? on: October 26, 2017, 07:58:20 AM
Hi..
I would like to ask if there is really a delay of transaction this days? Because some were making excuses for payment now, they said that transaction really delay.

If this is anything to go by, I haven't witnessed any of such in recent times and even when I carried out a transaction with a ridiculous fee, it confirmed in due time which means with the right fee, in a matter of minutes to few hours, you should get your payment.

However, due to the recent fork and the ongoing technicalities attached with it, it could lead to it but this has not been confirmed as several wallet and service providers didn't release any statement to that effect that it could cause any disruption in their blockchain network as such. But you need to also be weary of individuals who would want to use the opportunity to give them more room for scam purpose.
2526  Economy / Speculation / Re: Again the bitcoin price falls to $ 4000? on: October 26, 2017, 06:53:09 AM
For the lat three days the bitcoin price continue to falls down.
What do you think guys it will reach $4000 again?

On seeing the thread I was actually thinking price has crashed to that low value but its just speculation which would have been fatal if that really happened.

Although its actually a possibility when the whole reason why the price went high based on what we can attach it to is not coming the way a lot of people expected it. Checking the trading price of BTG was not encouraging but I see the price still stabilizing above $5000 even despite what is happening to BTG but $4000 will be a long way down.
2527  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Brace yourself, Bitcoin Silver is coming! on: October 25, 2017, 06:32:59 PM
We have Bitcoin Gold, B2X and now Bitcoin Silver! Money-grab or a bright future for bitcoin  Huh

Its really funny on the amount of things we will see in this crypto current and I just wished the developers behind all these confusions can launch their project, promote it and make it better in what they are trying to correct without relying on bitcoin and leverage on the popularity bitcoin has been able to garner.

But on a serious note, I doubt if we are going to be seeing bitcoin silver anytime soon because the bitcoin core developers are now acting based on what I read on notifications on livecoin.net on the reason why they won't be supporting the fork that bitcoin core developers will be blacklisting those that do.
2528  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think bitcoin gold value will rise to bitcoin value on: October 25, 2017, 05:35:43 PM
Do you think bitcoin gold value will rise to bitcoin value

Of all the factors that can be responsible for the increase in the price of bitcoin, Bitcoin Gold is the least because the effect to me is not something that will be material enough to effect that change. Bitcoin price itself has fallen from the all time high that was witnessed last week but with BTG, a lot of people will only dump BTG then buy more bitcoin for them to sell which means the increase that might be seen as a result of this exercise, will only be for a short while and couple with the trading price of BTG, I don't see it going far.

Another issue of concern is that BTG did not have the enough amount of reception one expect it to have and even SegWit that is yet to happen is gaining more attention than it. Hopefully, gradually BTG could live to expectation but not any time soon at all.
2529  Economy / Reputation / Re: Low life who give fake trust in order to scam on: October 25, 2017, 04:34:24 PM
Not sure why "Indian" has to be accentuated so much, but okay.
The thread won't be locked because account sales aren't moderated, but the account surely will be tagged. (Given that it already has been by hilariousandco, I'd say that it would be considered red by most people. He is, after all, DT1)

I did see the feedback that was left for him but I am not sure if its going to achieve what Op intends it to achieve because the narration didnt talk about anything related to scams or otherwise. From the way I see it, it just echoed what the type of trade he is practicing which a lot of people patronizing the thread already know about. But if Op can provide evidence to show he has scammed, then it could lend credence in getting more people to tag him and probably discourage his own line of business.
2530  Economy / Reputation / Re: How to Earn Trust on: October 25, 2017, 03:27:22 PM
Hi everyone, I would like to ask, how can we earn trust in this forum? I would like to earn trust Cheesy thanks in advance.

When it come to earning trust on the forum, its something you don't expect it coming and that is the one that worth it. If you do your activities with the sole purpose of earning trust, you will land in more trouble because that would be negating the rules of the forum of farming trust even if you have the money to pay for it. The best way to go about getting one is go about doing your things not every trust have to do with carrying out trades, managing a campaign, acting as escrow etc. It could be as easy delivering on clients project at the right time, or helping someone sort out some issues, keeping to your words from someone, busting a scam to save other people resources, ensuring the forum is clean of scammers and spammers etc because that trust is not regulated and it is based on someone emotions. Do well to contribute and someone might give you the desired opinion.
2531  Economy / Reputation / Re: --aTriz = Decoded-- [Cross Posting from Scam Accusations] [Interesting] on: October 25, 2017, 02:10:53 PM
These allegations to me are quite weigthy and are serious. It must also be noted that ever since Atriz has been managing quite an amount of campaigns here, there have been some allegations here and there.

I wont believe that the person behind the initial thread is a newbie because reading from that, it shows he probably have one thing or the other but the issue around here is simple. The onus is on the accuser to proof that the relationship exists as the similarity and location is not enough to hold forth as this has been defeated by earlier arguments.

If there is a claim that he sent an email, then he should have the correspondence to show it or it does not hold anything and more so, he should better come out with his own account rather than hiding behind a newbie account.
2532  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: UAE Central Bank warns against Bitcoin on: October 25, 2017, 01:04:43 PM
After china's bitcoin ban now I think its Dubai's turn to follow that. The UAE central bank has warned against bitcoin saying its not regulated and it can be used for funding terror activities.  Just read this article .You will understand everything https://www.msn.com/en-ae/news/uae/uae-central-bank-warns-against-bitcoin/ar-AAtXh3O?li=BBqrVLO&ocid=edgsp. I read some where that UAE government is going to launch a new cryptocurrency . May be because of that they are planning to ban bitcoin. What do you guys think about this?

The only argument they have is that bitcoin is being used to fund terror activities but what my concern is that for their warning does that now stops people using it for terror activities to stop or they expect someone who does not even know anything about terror activities gets radicalized by using bitcoin is what seems to surprise me. What they should be doing as a warning is to make efforts that they can unravel those engaged in bitcoin for unlawful purpose cannot continue to hide behind it.

Reasons like this is not something new and I don't expect them to do otherwise another question is that even before bitcoin, have they been able to stop terror attack? And even after the emergence of bitcoin, I have not read any major terror attack that its funding to linked to have come majorly from bitcoin activities. The people have known better and in as much as they think the warning will stop people interest, it will even increase it the more.
2533  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How does Bitcoin affect other Crypto? on: October 25, 2017, 09:21:11 AM
At this time, its really hard to decide which direction they relate with each other because it varies. Sometimes, it shows to be a direct relationship while other times it can come out with inverse relationship. So it actually depends on the time frame the the comparison is being made.

I have seen times when bitcoin is witnessing an increase in price and the whole alt coin market just continue to get pumped as well and the interpretation will all give be that because of the increase in the price of bitcoin. But for some days now even with high increase in the price of bitcoin, alt coin keeps crashing and now that we are seeing some correction in the price of bitcoin, alt coins are not even doing any better.

While there are some alts as well in which their price is not even dependent on what happen to bitcoin price whether high or low.
2534  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2nd chance at Bitcoin? on: October 25, 2017, 06:07:24 AM
If someone bought $100 of Bitcoin in 2010 and kept it until now, they would now have around $6 million.

Do you think the same could happen again in the next 7 years? If I now own $500 in Bitcoin could that be worth $1 million+ in the next 7 years? Or is it extremely unlikely for this increase to happen a second time?

The issue about bitcoin price increase is just not about the amount of years that has happened based on what you are trying to portray rather its the amount of people that have shown indication in that amount of time that has passed. In the next 7 years several things would have happened which might either make the price to worth of 1000% or more, or to have decreased beyond measure.

If the population in the next 7 years can triple what we have now the possibility to  reaching your desired point is very probable but if the challenges with government regulation which later transient to the point of banning with serious punishment of deviance and trust me, a lot of people will lose interest. When that happen, there is no hope to meet your objective.
2535  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about Bitcoin ATMs? on: October 24, 2017, 05:24:57 PM
Have you ever used one? What were the fees and the experience like, and would you use one again? Is there one nearby where you live?

I have not used one and I don't think I am going to use any for several reasons though:

1. Visa and MasterCard have stopped their support to ATMs backed by crypto currency in my region at this maybe in the future they may revisit their decision.

2. Even if they revisit their decision, I still won't use it because of the implicit charges embedded in it which to me, is too expensive for someone like me to bear. From the site that will load it fee, the card maintenance fee, the local bank ATM fee which will be on the high side because its going to be treated as using foreign ATM in a local setting.
2536  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What happened to the Campaign.? on: October 24, 2017, 03:57:28 PM
That's horrible. Three weeks definitely needs incentive. What would a negative trust do if they will not be paid. This makes more people give negative feedbacks to every thing in this forum. It's like everyone is a criminal in the eyes of others. No wonder mods are very criticizing. We should not blame them, people do sorts of things for money.

Its actually not the fault of the manager but if it can be established that he collected the funds and he refused to pay, thats when he need to be tagged but the campaign is an ICO in which its always stated that the payment will be done at the end of the ICO and in this case that they are stopping the ICO or ending the project all together, there is no way the manager will get the money to pay for three whole weeks. The real culprit are the developers who bolted on those who worked for them.

Reasons like this are why managers turn down some campaigns while some will lock the thread until they are able to secure the payment at least for the first week of the campaign before going forward. I think this will be a great lessons for both the managers and the participants on entering any campaign without either securing payment upfront or understanding the risks before entering.
2537  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Way to Buy BTC on: October 24, 2017, 01:40:02 PM
I am fairly new to this forum and to the bitcoin industry. I am wondering what's the best way to purchase bitcoin, I am from the Philippines. Is PayPal a good way to exchange for bitcoins, or is it too risky for the BTC seller because of PayPal being reversible? Thanks in advance guys.

I think there is a local section dedicated to the Philippines on the forum, if not, then you can just search for it on the internet and get the gathering of like minded individuals. The best way to buy is from individuals who are willing to sell in your own local currency all you will need to do is to transfer the amount to their own local bank account. With this option you will save yourself the high stress and high fee in using those sites in the areas of conversion from your currency to say USD then the fees you have to pay on the platform. In as much as that is an advantage, you also have to ensure you study the people you want to deal with because scammers dont have a particular nationality as they are everywhere looking for someone to dupe.
2538  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: where is profit? on: October 24, 2017, 12:09:39 PM
Hi guys. Another newbie here. Here is what I am confused about. Yesterday before the fork when BTC whas high I thought go on the sale on alt market and bought some ETH and OMG.
So here are conversions (don't tell me about small amounts):
0.004 BTC for 3.04323051 OMG
0.00482 BTC for 0.10009339 ETH

Today, when BTC dropped a little and alts rised a little, by my newbie logic, well if I would sell the same amount of alts I bought I will have smaaaaaal profit (I didn't wanted to sell tho, just was curious). So I went to exchange:
entereted 3.04323051 OMG and it showed me 0.00380365 (the amount in EUR was 22.46 vs 18.56)
There was the same with 0.10009339 ETH, both BTC and EUR amount where smaller.

I don't know is it worth to mention that yesterday when I exchange those I used built in exchange in Exodus, so small fees where charged.
So my question is where is the profit? Or it is just exodus who shows conversion with fees already included. Will there be profit with such example on bittrex? Or I am just misunderstanding something?

What happen here if everything you said is to go by is that sometimes the margin between buying and selling is always high for example you might buy some coins for say $4800 and when you want to sell on that same platform could be $4730 which means there is a $70 margin loss there if you want to sell couple with another reduction you will face because of the implicit fee.

So, the small increment in the price of altcoins is not enough to cover for the margin described above and the fee attached to eventually give a profit and you have to either wait more for the Altcoin to appreciate more or btc to go lower.

There is no certainty that its going to turn profit on bittrex because even though the margin on buying and selling might be lower, the implicit fee might be higher than where you are currently trading. You are actually making profit but not enough to cover those costs.
2539  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin be too big to fail? on: October 24, 2017, 08:45:49 AM
After spending much time as a guest on this forum learning all I can about Bitcoin, I finally decided to join. Glad to be here and thanks for all the great advice along the way!

Now I have a question I'd like to ask. Is Bitcoin going to get to the point where it is too big to fail? The government bailed out Wall Street to avoid a financial collapse. Can Bitcoin gain the same status as Wall Street? The market cap is steadily increasing making it a big player in the game and I'm looking forward to where it is headed.

Thanks in advance!

Nothing entirely can be too big to fail. Several big things in the past that are expected to be failure proof have gone ahead to fail at one point or the order even at their prime. We have heard governments fail talk about the Soviet Union, Hitlers Government, among several governments. We have also heard the about the great recession which you equally made reference to. we have also gone beyond the era of technological advancements in the quest to civilization.

In the case of blockchain and several other magnificent technologies that have stand, its because of the constant development and support they have been getting in other to feature in today's world peculiarity. The moment bitcoin supports stops and we continue going, that will be the beginning of the end and no matter how big the technology will be, a small bug can bring down the high tower.
2540  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Kraken disappointment on: October 24, 2017, 07:51:44 AM
Hello folks,
i would like to discuss with you this news from Kraken exchanger:

They posted 16h ago a twit stating they would NOT support BTC gold, then they changed their mind with another twit and then destroyed the plans of tons of people who deposited their BTC to them.
I've been using kraken for long time and it always seemed reliable, stable, with a good volume of transaction for BTC and altcoins, now they came out with this amazingly... stupid statement.
People now are going crazy and i guess in the next couple of hours many investors will move out of this exchanger for another one.
Right, it's not the end of the world for me because i had just some dust in there but this is not acceptable anymore (at least for me) and the statement "we might reconsider it later" it smell fishy, very fishy.
At this point i would like to ditch this exchanger and find a new one with some good volume of transaction to do some trading (keep in mind i don't own much), any advice will be appreciated!

Its a disappointment though considering the several options one could have to claim his BTG rather than keeping it on their exchange but they cannot be blamed because these are the things you willingly entered into in their terms. For going back on their word after the initial statements shows that they either know more than we do, or the reality is more than what they expected.

The way out in the spirit of fairness is to allow users be able to withdraw their coins unconditionally as it were before the fork so that they can then decide what they would do about it on their own and those who want to still leave it on their platform would have done that willingly and not because they are forced to do so by reason of their own inconsistency.
