3501  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Do I have any recourse if the sites do not permit me to ignore mod or admin? on: May 08, 2017, 04:00:42 PM
Hi there, .... lately on several chats for dices sites I experienced some hardships!
Namely, I felt that mods and admins are talking vulgar words and plunging emoticons, overly!
I asked them if I have option or command to ignore them or can they ignore us instead of banning us!
They answered, no, you can not ignore us, and we do not ignore you, we ban you or mute you! I said: okay!.
Now, on Bitsler, if they ban you they punish you with ban on faucet! This is first time I experienced! O M G !
I can ban myself if i can not ignore vulgarist or plungerist mod or admin, but then I have my faucet rights to enjoy!
So, I see, that technology works but morality is left behind. We do not need much of regulations online for crypto-industry.
We are decentralized and we can self-regulate our development! What we need is a site where we can have recourse, not court!
If Bitsler has stolen my 2 faucets for 2 years, because i was banned justly or unjustly on chat, that is 0.150 btc about! Simple math!
So, what can i do, sue them on some court, oh no! We need a body that can resolve that, I mean, someone has to check sites for moral issues!
If the user can not ignore mod and mod can ban user and admin can steal faucet, then it is DOMINATION, and that is danger for our Internet culture and future development!

In all sincerity there is nothing you can do about it. In as much as the admin or mod of such sites needs to understand that clients are the king and deserves maximum respect, there is little or nothing that can be done and its something you have agreed to by patronising the site which at this time, the only option  have is to stop going there and its their failure that you are leaving as someone else is also leaving. Hopefully, they will come to their senses and do what is right.
3502  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: LTC as the gateway coin for fast and cheap BTC transactions? on: May 08, 2017, 03:10:44 PM
Litecoin will be huge, everyone with a brain knows that. Bitcoin is not getting segwit, anyone that still thinks bitcoin is getting segwit is just delusional (or at least anytime soon). So pick your litecoins and enjoy the ride. There will be ups and downs because of profit taking bagholders tho, but I think the current dip was just due Poloniex fucking up and shaking weak hands. If it wasn't for that we would still be at 0.02+ so pick some before its too late.

Anyway, atomic cross chain transactions are a great thing for BTC, so both LTC and BTC will benefit.

Its very good to be optimistic about a project. I equally believe in LTC the same way you also believe in it but the issue I always have is that all the ALTs just wanted to overcome bitcoin and that is their motive and driving force. Overcoming is not even the issue but the process of overcoming is what they dont want to go through which is definitely rough. Bitcoin has undergo all this process in other to be what it is today and we are all proud of it. So, if LTC is ready to go for it no problem but be ready and brace up for the down times.
3503  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info Legacy Wallet on: May 08, 2017, 02:38:39 PM
Its unfortunate you have to face this after making a wise investment decision as at the time when  only few people would take such risk. Now when you are to reap the benefit of your investments, challenges surfaces. Support would likely not attend to you because of the enormous request that they face on a daily basis. What I will suggest is that you try login into the wallet again and trace how the bitcoin moved. Also, you can try additional digging of your records if you can find useful details if not, I am afraid you might have lost it forever.
3504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum: Good alt or stay away? on: May 08, 2017, 12:45:33 PM
I am sure those who went for the option of staying away would be blaming themselves now that, they should have done otherwise. ETH has actually made a come back from the sleeping position it rested in the past months that makes a lot of people wrote it off. But now, its now a corner stone. What I expect is to see campaigns being paid with ETH, gambling sites start adopting massively, faucets coming out massively for ETH among other improvements to the currency.
3505  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][QAU] QUANTUM PROJECT - Connecting markets on: May 08, 2017, 10:18:45 AM
How many weeks did this ICO run, it collected almost a million only. I guess the FUD had started it the first. It only gained attention when yahoo responded a vouch to the thread about him also running a signature campaign. The team didn't run a twitter campaign, did they?

What I have discovered is that a project in itself no matter how good will not promote itself but it needs the right set of people and individuals who have over the years proven to be trust worthy to actually promote it and thats exactly what happens in the case of this project when doubts where beginning to be surface on the worthiness of the project.
3506  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Will Reach $3000 By The End Of The Year on: May 08, 2017, 09:20:46 AM
Strong demand in Japan where it is now deemed a legal means of payment is among many factors pushing the price higher. Great article:

https://www.finextra.com/newsarticle/30527/bitcoin-set-to-go-boom

Even merely following the trend I dont need a soothsayer to give me the news of the direction of bitcoin. In as much as we all want the increase should happen, I still expect a wise investor to exercise caution a follow caution and not just follow the entire population because whether they are adopting in Japan or not, bitcoin is still subjected to the forces of demand and supply in which the population in Japan is not as much as the entire population in the determining factor of the price of bitcoin. $3000 is a long shot but still possible.
3507  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How to confirm a transaction ? on: May 08, 2017, 05:56:40 AM
In all there is absolutely nothing you can do about it than to just wait because with all the suggestions I read up there, its either one person is teasing you or the other is giving you an impossible option to go with. The issue is the delay is beyond the increase in transaction fees although its a factor to be considered even at that, you just have to wait or you go the route of accelerator but that will even cost you more but with proper understanding with the person you transferring to, I believe there should not be any problem.
3508  Economy / Economics / Re: African country adopts Bitcoin as primary currency on: May 07, 2017, 09:56:52 PM
I heard rumors that Uganda or some other country is adopting Bitcoin as its official currency. Does not make sense to me at all for a country to adopt a currency it has absolutely no control over. I am not 100% sure but I think they don't have internet or electricity down there. In any case, the Central Bank would have to first make a reserve which means they would have to buy Bitcoins first before just adopting it. Anyway, would be dope if some country officially adopted Bitcoin!

Since its still a rumour as you have rightly connoted, then I will take it as such. But the argument that it does not make sense at all is where I will like to address and the fact is that it does not need to make sense to you because I am sure that for a country to adopt bitcoin, they must have done proper analysis and understanding of how the currency works before embarking on such venture. Don't know rich the human content of the Ugandan government but I know a proper understanding and consultation would have been adequately done.
3509  Economy / Economics / Re: On what year crypto in general will be massively adopted? on: May 07, 2017, 09:50:26 PM
Japan started making btc legal now, India is following, maybe China is Next? then within 5 years from now maybe the crypto world can be well known?

Japan's adoption is not a determinant of anything because Japan is not active on world politics which have influence on the financial system of other countries. But I see the impact of China having effect on other countries if they adopt from that end. However, what will be the most lush factor is if a country like UK, USA or Russia adopt bitcoin, then I see the massive inflow happening in the next five years but currently nothing is certain.
3510  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto's stack on: May 07, 2017, 08:13:14 PM
Hi Bitcoiners! i heard that Satoshi Nakamoto has more than 1M Bitcoins, and i became really curious to see the wallet with all those bitcoins! so i did some research and i couldn't find any info on which are the wallet adresses that hold such bitcoins, in fact i found out that the most bitcoins held in a wallet right now is about 300k bitcoins held by the FBI or some shit... so i would like to ask the community where is the address that holds such amount of bitcoins and what info we've got about what satoshi did with his coins, did he sold them? does he still have them? where are they? thanks for your help!
Love from Colombia <3

Guy you probably didnt hear anything because no one can share such. You would have read what majority have equally read about Satoshi at one time or the other that we tried to find more about the genius behind the project in which the whole world is currently rallying behind. But my question is even if you happen to find it, what will you do about it and more so, if Satoshi could keep that for himself when it even worth nothing, then he deserves our commendation because if he had known this will be the outcome as at today, he would have kept more.
3511  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Use Social Media for Bitcoin on: May 07, 2017, 07:55:29 PM
So recently I was using this app called Instagram (in case some of you never heard of it) and I posted some pictures & videos related to Bitcoin on my Instagram Stories (Like that day when the price goes insanely high and keep going til now). Then 2 days ago some of my friends suddenly asked me about what Bitcoin is & how could the price goes up like that. And I was surprisingly glad to know that I've influenced some people to get to know Bitcoin. And then I introduced them to Bitcoin and answer their questions about it, there were 3 people asking about Bitcoin that day just because of this 1 post.

I mean why don't we just use this power of social media to make people aware about this Cryptocurrency, well I know that there are already some people doing this (like those YouTube channels).
But what I'm talking about here is to us to post something about Bitcoin on our social media, you can just at least post something like your first transaction with Bitcoin and share your story on your Facebook or take the picture of your book that you just bought from the internet using your Bitcoin and then post it on your Twitter.

Don't be afraid to share your experience, you won't get hurt by doing it!(at least not now)

I quite agree with you and social media is a great tool to make things happen and that is why we all have twitter and facebook campaigns for some projects coming into mainstream but the issue about the crypto is that we always prefer our anonymity so that it wont be traced to us but I have equally seen friends who have talked about it on their facebook page and I admire their courage which has even prompt me to even make further enquiries from them.
3512  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if, we advertise bitcoin on T.V.? on: May 07, 2017, 06:51:34 PM
Advertising on print, radio or television will be hard to do as at today because they are highly regulated by several government agencies which I know any owner of radio or television station will want to avoid compared to the internet which I have seen in several places and even forums. But, I hope in few years when government is able to understand that the world is going digital, then television or radio advert can be done without any repercussions from either government or its agencies.
3513  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Slow payments and fees solution??? on: May 07, 2017, 06:12:15 PM
Now recently i have seen many people complaining about the bitcoin transaction fees and the time to process payments. I have been using xapo as my wallet since starting and i also feel that this is the wallet for the solution to both of these issues.
Now xapo normally sends all your payments instantly who's value is 0.01 btc or more. For the rest it may take 24 hours. What i have noticed is is that xapo doesn't take any fees when you send it instead they group multiple transactions to save fees for the smaller amounts and for bigger amounts doesn't charge any fees. In terms of speed also most of the payments i send i confirmed within 20 minutes. Let me know what you think about xapo or your experience or opinion about it

I have used Xapo in the past and I really enjoyed it because before the advent of increase in the fees, the have transaction fee free system where one won't pay for transaction fees, I think this was limited to only Xapo users then from what I read and that's why I had to stop its use. However, its really a good thing because the transaction fees these days is on the high side and even has gone beyond the higher fees=faster transactions. I guess I will have to give a try once more.
3514  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reason of increasing bitcoin price on: May 07, 2017, 03:22:15 PM
Who are know the actual reason of bitcoin price? How can i predict about bitcoin pricing high or low?

In my opinion, no one can say authoritatively that this is the particular reason why the increase in price of bitcoin is being witnessed these days because there are several factors that work together for the advancement of a particular course. For me, I think it's due to adoption we see from Japan although the increase was not immediate as the news but this could be due to penetration which the increase is just reflecting after a while.
3515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin eventually kill Altcoin? on: May 07, 2017, 10:15:05 AM
Every time bitcoin price goes up,Altcoin price take a dip.No doubt bitcoin rule the crypto world and sooner or later it will become mainstream.
Once it happens, btc will be worth million dollar. Will then all Altcoin be died?Seems Altcoin price are inversely proportional to btc price, if btc keep rising, will Altcoin keep falling? .

The relationship between bitcoin and alt is such that can be regarded that having inverse relationship but that does not mean they can survive without each other. Its true that to majority of people bitcoin is the only cryoto currency but these people only use it as a currency and they hardly play any role in the increase in the market price neither the market capitalisation but those who use it for trades and exchanges so bitcoin can not kill alt no matter how high it goes because they are the ones that give relevance to bitcoin in my opinion and when they are gone then there won't need for exchange sites which will equally takes its toll on the price of bitcoin.
3516  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Burstcoin a good coin? on: May 07, 2017, 09:22:54 AM
I've recently heard about Burstcoin. It looks like a really great coin, especially since they make it easy for the not-so-good hardware people. Uses your HD space to mine which I think is awesome.
I want your guys opinions on it. Is it a good altcoin?
This will actually be the first time I will be hearing of this coin though, but will appreciate a link to the announcement thread if there is any in other to understand the fundamentals about the coin. Its not enough to just take the review you have there and make a decision based on that. It could have potentials though.
3517  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think DOGECOIN is the future of Altcoins ? on: May 06, 2017, 10:54:05 PM
I don't know why, but I have never for once believed in this project of dogecoin even at that, its purely my opinion which does not even matter in the shape of things in the crypto world. The future is uncertain  and anyone does not know what will happen but for doge to rule that future, then there is more work to be done in other to over come the other alts that have dominate the space already which will not be easy considering this alt will also be aiming higher.
3518  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why does every new tech require an ICO? Is it just the funding? on: May 06, 2017, 10:48:11 PM
It seems that there is about 1 new ICO (mainly ERC20's on Ethereum) every week. How is it possible that each of these tech's needs its own coin and blockchain? Why don't they just develop on Ethereum?

Is it solely to get the venture capital?

Its actually a way to get money but the way people have turned it into, they have bastardized the avenue that anyone who needs a quick buck can just exploit all he has to do is to have a nice package, graphics, functioning sites, escrows and some amount of money to run a large campaign and  boom the ICO is a success and they continue to have their way but its not their fault but those of us who buy into such leaving genuine projects out of the picture because such does not possses the financial wherewithal to promote such things to our awareness.
3519  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Ethereum a threat to BTC??? on: May 06, 2017, 08:32:39 PM
Etherum in recent times has actually been making some waves which is a development in the right direction but that does make it a threat to  bitcoin in all sincerity from the way I see it, its just like a young chap from Manchester United or City making waves and everybody is happy with him then we start to say he is now a threat to a Ronaldo or a Messi. Which means for me see Etherum as a threat, then there is long way to go.
3520  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Xapo wallet sucks. Stole $10 worth of Bitcoin until I provide all types of ID's on: May 05, 2017, 09:51:24 PM
I strongly recommend avoiding Xapo website.

I used the site for $10 of affiliate income from Moonbitcoin and they won't allow me to log into my account until I provide my social security #, ID scans, bills and all types of shit.

Think twice before dealing with this shit site or any affiliates that only pay out via them.

KYC for under a $20 bill... no thanks.
I have equally used Xapo and I have not had any issues with them and I am not sure they would want to rubbish their reputation because of that meagre amount of dollars in btc. The reason I could give for them I would say is largely due to the source of the bitcoin you are getting which is from referrals maybe for them to be sure that its not being abused and because its a promotional package, they would want to still expand that population base through getting more information from beneficiaries like you.
