3421  Other / Off-topic / Re: What's your way of spreading Bitcoin knowledge? on: June 01, 2017, 12:43:01 PM
The basic thing I do is to tell friends on how bitcoin works since that is what my capacity can carry as I can only influence people close to me at the moment as I work full time and the only time I have is just weekend. I was slightly discouraged when I tried explaining to a friend on how to join the forum and get to learn and earn but was met with rebuttals of no interest and not attempting to make one. But I am still not resting to teach anyone I found worthy or who makes himself worthy.
3422  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Dozens of police failed to pay prostitute for sex. City will pick up tab. on: June 01, 2017, 12:40:08 PM
People might remember a news item last year about an underage prostitute who had sex with dozens of police officers in Oakland. The girl was not paid for her encounters with police, instead they gave her secret information about upcoming "prostitution stings" so she would not get caught.

Today her lawyer managed to get the city to pay for the romantic interludes of its officers.

Oakland will pay $989,000, of which $973,000 will go to her lawyer, and she will receive $16,000, which works out to $20 per blowjob and $40 per normal sex act.

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/teen-oakland-police-sex-scandal-paid-1-million-article-1.3210280

Should she have gotten more?

This is a simple case of the failure of the society and she became a victim of it and there is nothing anyone can do about it. Despite the morality view might want to attach to it as it relates to the eventual payment she got, the fact still remains that the law will take its course as what is the rightful amount she is due for if the police officers had paid for her service? And for the lawyer, I believe the payment is just as a result of the failure of the police force and not really a payment largesse for him.
3423  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Men and their weapons on: June 01, 2017, 12:02:41 PM
The era of hand held weapon is gone for defence as even the most backward nation of the world never arm its citizen or soldiers with this implement the reason for that is not far fetched. Our lives have been greatly regulated by governments and its agent. Aside that, even if I am an expert in handling this weapon, I still cannot carry based on the fact that they are mostly outlawed in most spheres of the society because how do I go to office with my suit on and still hold a knife or sword. They are used as symbol of authority and nothing else.
3424  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: any bitcoin mutual donation platform? on: June 01, 2017, 09:11:36 AM
i need info or links to trusted bitcoin mutual donation platforms where i can double my bitcoins and increase my btc gain?

If you are looking for one, then be ready to lose that little one you have since you are looking for his to double your money in which you and I know that no thing like that as they are all scam or will end as scam one day which is not always far. So when you check Google of HYIP monitor sites, you get to see a lot of suggestions for you and you get to see the one that might double your money in 24hours. Goodluck in finding that.
3425  Economy / Gambling / Re: What are you think about my gambling related idea? on: May 31, 2017, 07:52:36 PM
I think its really a good idea to the community and for those who are lazy or does not have the technical expertise to verify all the claims of the gambling site as it relates to the above two issues mentioned. However, how do we trust your service in that there are already several review sites and they tend to give the kind of assurance you are given but they have been found to write things that favor the gambling site in other to increase their revenue. How are we sure you won't be bought for the review by the time this site is getting the attention of enough population of the community.
3426  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Will Bitcoin will be declare as legal or not ? on: May 31, 2017, 02:48:38 PM
When government is ready to take a decision, no one will force them and I would suggest preempting their decision line is not the best as this would lead to unnecessary speculation which is going to further worsen the volatility issues surrounding bitcoin at the moment. All I know is one of the major factor that will influence government decision is that tax that will be generated and how it will be done by the exchange site. The moment this has been achieved every other thing will fall in line.
3427  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Criminality and Bitcoin on: May 31, 2017, 12:11:11 PM
https://www.deepdotweb.com/2016/01/23/bitcoin-playing-an-increased-role-in-crime-europol-says/

Would you believe that the existence of bitcoin has increased the number of criminality in  some countries in the world. This is the issue that was being thrown by the EuroPol and the UK Metropolitan Police. According to them bitcoin has played a huge role on the increasing criminality in their area. They added that a huge number of cybercriminals were using bitcoins in their activities.

This just shows that as bitcoin develops both advantages and disadvantages will tag along.

The issue of criminality in bitcoin cannot be disputed because criminals will exploit the fact that it cannot be traced and even if possible how much is government willing to expend to make that a possibility the issue of Ransome ware quickly comes to mind. But the issue is that there are still some good in bitcoin. The reason for this is why we see major exchange sites asking for KYCs in which we equally fight against. Let's just hope that the people soiling bitcoin name will not over shadow the good we see in it.
3428  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin banned in Ecuador on: May 31, 2017, 08:04:17 AM

In 2014, all the cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin was banned by the government in Ecuador. This was followed by the introduction of the country’s own digital currency, the Dinero Electrónico.

However, defiant Bitcoin users still continued using Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. In fact, Bitcoin use in Ecuador has spiked due to the recent price rise.

Do you think that the Ecuador government will freely allow the use of Bitcoin as its popularity increases?

The government of Ecuador have their reason for banning bitcoin which I know won't be far from the fact that they cannot control it but instead give to their citizen what they feel they can control but little did they know that the set of people initially exposed to bitcoin are the same people that will use their currency if they so wish and this people does not want the prying eyes of government looking into their activities. So, its either they adopt bitcoin or they leave it to fester the more in the society.
3429  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: BTC Price on the South Korean Market on: May 30, 2017, 07:14:23 PM
Hi,
Does anyone have a sound explanation of the BTC markets in South Korea? Price spread is unbelievably high, like there is no interconnection between the markets in other countries.
Check the KRW pairs: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/#markets
Thanks!
I would say they are learners in the exchange business and they might learn the hard way if they don't adjust in due time because by the time large number of people cash in on the arbitrage trading in which they are providing, and they run into a massive cashflow issue without being able to meet the needs of their clients then they will learn the hard way. No one is an island and no exchange site can stand alone.
3430  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The next step to impeach Trump. on: May 30, 2017, 05:14:58 PM
10 US cities have signed a petition to the Senate with the requirement to begin procedure of impeachment Trump. Of course the municipal authority has no authority for such a solution, but it may force legislators to consider it. Do you think the deck of cards Trump still trump?
That would be the last thing that would happen in modern democracy people don't get impeached simply because some set of people don't like them but because the committed serious constitutional breaches which in this case is not something that have been established the least they could do is to wait for the outcome of the investigation currently going on with his collaboration with the Russians aside that, I guess Americans will have to wait for the nest 4years to right their wrong if need be.
3431  Other / Politics & Society / Re: OBAMA was the best President in the world on: May 30, 2017, 01:32:34 PM
Barack Obama is the best President in the world because he combines both intelligence, strength,Characters and charisma that held world leaders spellbound and in awe of him through his 8 years in the white house. He is easy going, passionate, articulate and highly diplomatic on issues with global ramifications. He clearly demonstrates what it means and takes to be a leader of the free world, opting for dialogue and diplomacy over force and threats of Bombs. Obama is a classical example of a global other that goes beyond the war narrative. Pulling the US out of the recession hole dug by BUSH and reviving an economy that was on a free  fall shows strength, and leadership  that is unrivalled. Who do you think is the best world president ?

I would say that is your opinion and you are entitled to it which I am not going to contest because no matter how bad one his, there is still the good side it will appear to someone else and that exactly how it is. When Obama was leaving power, I so much adore and watch his videos and liked him so and even wishing his candidate won the election but that changed immediately facts emerged on the role he played in the build up to the election of my country which led us to the current woes we are facing now which I believe history will not absolve anyone for the role we all play.
3432  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What do you think about terrorism?..I mean, will it ever end? on: May 30, 2017, 01:06:47 PM
I am a citizen of the Philippines, specifically in Mindanao group of island. This Maute Group(an alleged ally of ISIS) is terrorizing one of the city here in Mindanao and just started a war against the Philippine Army. Now, If these group will be successful, we would be like Syria. I wanna hear your opinions about these guys. thanks.

The issue of terrorism is something that if it will end will take a long time because the cause of it to the best if my knowledge is fundamental which is going back to the basics of the teachings people get to engage in it in the first place because at the point where people have the thinking that they can fight against the forces of government with all the arms and ammunitions in the armoury of a country, and they are ready to die to achieve that, then its no longer a child's play. In this case, since its fairly new in Philippines, if its cut off immediately to the root, it will take a while before they regroup and enlightment on the part of government so that people won't go back to join under the guise of  fighting injustice.
3433  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex: BTC confirmation time over 48hrs on: May 30, 2017, 09:37:14 AM
The moment we realise that there some factors that are beyond the service providers or even the recipient the better and there wouldn't be need for a thread like this. I made a transaction in which I later found out the transaction fees I paid was low despite the fact that I accepted the one recommended by the wallet providers but this transaction took a whole week before confirming after it bounced several times in both originating wallet and the designation wallet as well.
3434  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Advice for someone brand spankin' new to bitcoin shenanigans? on: May 30, 2017, 08:57:38 AM
Hello!

(not sure if this is the correct thread to post in, but)

Long story short: someone I'm casually acquainted with has made something like thirty-thousand usd in the past week through minor crypto currency exchanges and I've been keeping up to date on their blog. It's still kinda surreal for me to think about but I've been researching how bitcoin functions and am very interested in getting involved with the market. My computer is kinda garbage so mining isn't really an option for me, so I was curious if anyone had any buying/selling advice for a college student who's literally never touched a digital crypto wallet before haha. Like any particular coins that are worth investing in, what wallet software do you recommend, etc.
It might be true that your friend made that huge amount of money in just few days but my advise is that don't be carried away because in the real sense, it is not always rosy and you don't know the number of days your friend have to wait to make such money. Aside that you preparation psychologically and financially is important for everything that comes your way if you have decided to join in this world of crypto with quite an amount of uncertainty which is the order of the day. Above all, be very careful.
3435  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to solve your Bitcoin unconfirmation problem on: May 30, 2017, 08:39:28 AM
If you ever have a BTC confirmation issue that has been going on for days, do not despair...
Try to accelerate it for free with https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/ or use a paid version by doing it yourself with pushtx.btc.com/#/ but there is a paid service for faster confirmation. I can help with that but it's not free but cheaper than most paid btc accelerators out there. If interested you can reach me or drop me a message and I will respond promptly.
P.S: it's a pay after service has been rendered and confirmation of your btc has been done.

The services offered free is not something new as it has been said here several times. I have tried several times on using the via btc accelerator but its just fully booked for the hour due to limited transaction to process the other is something I would want to patronise after there is enough reviews on how potent and effective it is.
3436  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will be the future of bitcoin transaction fee? on: May 30, 2017, 07:56:22 AM
In past we have to pay a fixed fee of 0.0001 btc for sending payment and the transaction didn't take too much time to confirm. Moreover in some bitcoin wallet there was no transaction fee. But nowadays the transaction fee is too high and it takes too much time to be confirmed. All wallet takes transaction fee now.(Not internal transaction like coinbase, xapo)
Does the transaction fee will increase more in future or it will be fixed as past?

The future of transaction fees is still very much going to the high side from my own point of view because in as much as we are happy that the price will increase, we should equally be happy that the transaction fees is also increasing and the moment the right amount is being paid for the fee the issue of unnecessary delay time of confirmation will be sorted out or won't even arise at all.
3437  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Transferring bitcoin and legal concerns on: May 29, 2017, 10:07:11 PM
Hi I am new to bitcoin and just done my first $1k transfer and was wondering if anybody had better knowledge regarding legal concerns around bitcoin transfer.

I know that when wire transferring money over $10k to an international bank account, my bank automatically reports it to authority. I was wondering if the bitcoin exchange does the same and or if there is any limit in the transfer amount + any tax or legal issues I should be aware of. I am planning on transferring money back and forth internationally to a different account under a different name.

Thanks in advance.

Its true on the benchmark on the maximum amount that needs to be transferred without disclosing to authorities and this is the common for most countries. But the issue is there is a way around it if you can disclose the source of such money but to avoid trouble why would I as an individual transfer such amount when I am not ready to answer or go through the bureaucracy of government agents who might not even know anything about bitcoin.
3438  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: That moment when you buy 1BTC at $2500 on: May 29, 2017, 08:22:26 PM
That moment when you buy 1BTC at $2500, and then 3 days later someone buys it at $2000. But I'm guessing that it's the risk involved in investing, so what do I do now? Sell? Or hold on them?
Obviously that is the risk that someone else gain is another one loss and for someone who has been involved and know the mechanism of how it works won't be surprised that its just a set back that will recover but for someone who is of the opinion that I invest at $2500 then by next week should be $3000 so I can make the differential profit will utterly be disappointed and might even be discouraged about crypto generally.
3439  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Floriduh Skinhead Converts to Islam, launches Jihad on: May 29, 2017, 06:49:00 PM
Have to feel sorry for this guy https://www.yahoo.com/news/police-man-slays-neo-nazi-roommates-over-islam-172952811.html

An adolescent raised on phony wars, doing as he was taught.

Time for outer space where the challenges will be real.
Good for him if he feels that is the best way for him to go. All I need to be  sure of that he is responsible for his actions which I don't blame him because western nations have equally contributed to that when they now allow people to leverage in the fact that injustice is being meted out on some people in another place then the feeling of fighting for them comes in and that alone makes some decision worth taking irrespective of its consequences.
3440  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Terrorist siege in the Philippines. on: May 29, 2017, 05:09:58 PM
While someone was trying to explode himself on a building full of teens in Manchester, a terrorist group claiming to be an ISIS affiliate attacked a city in southern Philippines. The Philippine president has already declared martial law on the whole Mindanao (second largest island where Marawi city is located) while in Russia.

http://cnnphilippines.com/news/2017/05/23/marawi-city-clash.html

The issue about terrorism has gotten so bad that it is not even only the Arab world that are feeling the pain any longer as it is even spreading to every where in the world. From Europe to Asia to Africa among other continents of the world but the bone of contention is the collateral damage  all of this where innocent citizens that does not even know the way government works who does not even vote in elections gets to suffer for it while the people in power making the policies are largely untouchable.
