3401  Economy / Economics / Re: Gulf Arab Countries Just Cut Relations with Qatar on: June 05, 2017, 08:06:32 PM
...

Just hitting all the news sites.  Lots of theories and speculation.  Maybe Qatar is cooperating more with Iran (to move NatGas to Asia and give up on the pipeline via Syria to Europe), but who knows...

Gold not up much ($2.00 or so).  BTC up about $52, but was up before the news hit.  Crude up some $0.50.

This is a very strange and disturbing development.  Watch this.

I read this in the news as well and really don't understand the implication of their alliance in the first place and now that things are falling out all together, I would appreciate a better and detailed analysis if the fall out of a decision like this. What I know is that before it get to the point of breaking the alliance, there would have been several talks and counter talks to avoid the inevitable which is eventually happening.
3402  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Manila terrorist was in a casino burning casino tables on: June 05, 2017, 02:16:54 PM
I won't want to believe that he is a terrorist but just someone who is going through a difficult time and even a fool at that because how do you explain that stealing casino tables is a way to make wealth and even how does he even wants to redeem it in the same cafe? I feel it was when everything didn't go according to his plan that he improvised and it turned into another scenerio accordingly. Terrorists wont carry out an attack without adequate planning to ensure maximum casualty.
3403  Other / Politics & Society / Re: When will Religions die? on: June 05, 2017, 09:01:34 AM
Religions made a lot of damage to human beings and our world in general. I'm not talking only about Islam, but every kind of religion, more or less, caused lots of problems.

I'm sure they will end. They won't last forever. But how will they end?

Which could the scenario that leads to their disappearance?

Religion will not end because we are always born into it and surrounded by it and at the same time passed on from one generation to another which makes it part of us from the beginning and for those who were lucky to have liberal parents, they get to be influences by the society when one would not do everything in isolation. With that and as times goes on, you get to see the "truth" and thereafter the cycle continues on and on again.
3404  Economy / Services / Re: i will do anything for bitcoins on: June 05, 2017, 06:33:15 AM
tell me to do dom things ill do them like eat nasty foods something which is worth 1btc to you
How do eating nasty foods becomes anything for me to pay you for. I don't understand I should pay you for eating something, people pay for jobs they cannot do, I suggest you look for a decent job to get money rather than engaging in something like this, if I will pay then you must add value to me and what you suggest you are doing does in no way add any value whatsoever to me in any way I can think of.
3405  Economy / Services / Re: Consultations and teachings on: June 04, 2017, 05:24:23 PM
From what I read there in the introduction of your services, I cannot say in actual fact this is the kind of services you are offering and needs to be paid for, are you an analyst, or a psychiatrist or a financial consultant, or something related to that and if you do, do you have the certification to practice in that particular field in which I didn't see up there. Can you be more specific on what you offer?
3406  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will we ever see bitcoin lower than 1000$? on: June 04, 2017, 04:50:58 PM
I won't say its not possible because we are in the world where volatility is the world order but what would made bitcoin go back that down is what I am still trying to phantom because that will need to be very massive looking at the various improvements and growth bitcoin has witnessed in recent times. If it will go down then world powers will have to agree to a position on the negative concerning bitcoin which will likely be difficult to achieve.
3407  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russian's own Bitcoin - What will be the impact to the original Bitcoin? on: June 04, 2017, 08:29:09 AM
Russian is planning to have its own version of Bitcoin backed by the Sberbank.

"Sberbank CEO Herman Gref has “agreed” on the development of a Russian national cryptocurrency with the country’s central bank.  Sberbank is Russia’s major state-controlled bank. In unofficial reports from local news aggregators, the so-called “Russian Bitcoin” will use Sberbank as its base and will be “the only cryptocurrency freely available for sale and purchase” in the country. “All other [cryptocurrencies] will only be available via exchanges or trading platforms,” the Telegram news channel DeСenter reports Friday."
https://cointelegraph.com/news/russian-bitcoin-will-be-countrys-only-freely-tradable-crypto-sberbank-ceo

What type of impact(s) will this have on the original Bitcoin?  Would the Russian Bitcoin survive?  Would the original Bitcoin be treated as a lower "second tier" crytocurrency in Russia or even in the world?  Would the original Bitcoin value goes down?

What is your thought on this?

Other countries that have tried it have failed woefully and not only that, they have even succeeded in promoting bitcoin more and I have a feeling that the case of Russia won't be an exception. They really need to understand the reasons behind bitcoin which is largely because it cannot be controlled by government. However, my fear is that Russia as a formidable country might ensure force by banning bitcoin in other to increase the acceptance of its own which might have effect of bitcoin  price.
3408  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you using low fees? on: June 04, 2017, 06:44:53 AM
Sometimes when I withdraw BTC to my wallet, I set really low fees like 50-70 satoshi per byte and wait for weeks, because I'm not going to spend those coins in the near future anyway. I think it's a good way to save a bit of money, because if you look back, you might realize that your fees have added up to a big amount in USD value, while it wasn't always necessary to get those coins confirmed asap.
So, do you use low fees, or always want to get confirmation in a next few blocks?

Your reason for using low fee is valid and even me would do same thing if I am in your position since it will still amount to the same thing in my wallet when it arrives whether the price of bitcoin increases or decreases but for someone who is ready to pay for sale, I am not sure that argument will stand for whatever reason before confirmations means money exchanging hands which cannot wait for weeks especially in case of emergency.
3409  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Buy Bitcoins In Bulk (USA) on: June 03, 2017, 07:44:09 AM
Hi,
Can anyone suggest me that how can i buy Bitcoins in bulk on a regular basis in USA?
Most of the website i come across have limits set and moreover different rates. A friend of mine has been doing this for long and buys BTC in bulk and that too in lesser prices compared to the price available on Coinbase and so on.
Can anyone suggest me.
I would say you just need to be more careful if you are coming in fresh and you are looking at ways of buying below the current range of prices because that might land you into something you never bargained for. The best way to go about that like we have in this country is to look for a forum where people are willing to sell to individual at an higher price that what the likes of coinbase are buying but below the price of you are to buy directly from coinbase. I guess that will result into a win-win situation.
3410  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Venezuela future dictatorship on: June 03, 2017, 06:44:05 AM
Nowadays the president of Venezuela is trying to remake the constitution of the country to changed it at his will and benefict without the opinion and voted of the people of the country, this is an opened declare of a dictatorship in this country, what are your opinion abuot all this?

In modern democracy, there is no way that will be possible except Venezuela does not practice democracy and does not have representatives as House of representatives or Senate that will stand as check against the excesses of the executive as what we are having now. It cannot even happen in a country like mine, the protest will be going on until the next election when the government will be booted out of power without the option of returning.
3411  Economy / Economics / Re: How bitcoin can be useful in developing nations like the African continent. on: June 02, 2017, 04:39:39 PM
Africa is an evolving country economically and bitcoin penetration will be high since they don't have the technical expertise to stop its popularity and it will continue to create wealth for its citizen who taps into it. Government of African countries have equally failed in creating wealth having being immersed in cases of corruption and bad governance which makes individuals creation of conducive standard of living a priority which is what bitcoin will do.
3412  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BIP148 has been deployed by slushpool on: June 02, 2017, 03:43:57 PM
Even though I am still trying to understand the reason behind this argument and counter argument in this crypto space all I know is the implementation should better be for the best and harness more potentials of bitcoin to make it more user friendly as well as less stress that is being witnessed today. Then we go back to the good old days of bitcoin.
3413  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Legal Formalities to Buy Real Estate in Bitcoins on: June 02, 2017, 12:52:08 PM
When it comes to real estate there is nothing special about the currency so far it has been accepted by both the seller and the buyer and the documents to effect the transfer of property to the rightful owner has been done and assented to accordingly. Where I stay I have seen real estate agreements signed using a currency different from the legal tender here and its binding on both parties so like wise bitcoin can be used if there is a mutual understanding to that effect.
3414  Economy / Services / Re: Got scammed? Get your money back! Deanonymizer service. on: June 02, 2017, 09:56:33 AM
This kind of service is what I have read here and referred as DOX if that is correct. I agree with the conditions you have set concerning the disclaimer as it relates to guarantee but the issue here is that majority have been scammed through all this HYIP sites how do you intend to do that? Aside that what of the case where its only address where the btc is deposited that is known, can you find the person behind it?
3415  Economy / Economics / Re: New rich people thanks to BTC on: June 02, 2017, 08:16:47 AM
It no gay saying that a lot of people have been made rich through bitcoin but the issue is that only few people would have held strong to witnessed this periods without selling coupled with the ups and down that bitcoin faces in between those periods references were made to. The remaining ones who held strong would have sold part of it that they won't be super rich today by selling whats left with them.
3416  Economy / Economics / Re: The Crash is gone, and we will see 3,500 usd within 60 days from today on: June 01, 2017, 09:24:41 PM
Ok the crash is gone it felt from 2,700 USD down to almost 2,000 and recover, the worst is gone, and I am predicting that the BTC will be at 3,500 USD within 60 days from today.

Why:

1.- More people interested
2.- More news and possible segwit
3.- On July 1st Australia will accept BTC as a currency.

So my advice is that if you can get as more BTC as you can, do it because this is just getting started.

Your assumption is right but its just speculation which might either come true or not. The basis for the assumption is also a good one and I am also hopeful on the high side to be witnessed very soon after the little setback we have in few days. But let's hope that the market will react  positively to the news coming because one cannot predict about the outcome of that.
3417  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does the location affect when we gamble? on: June 01, 2017, 07:33:59 PM
I will not say totally location does not influence gambling because if my experience with faucets site where some of those site have been designed to detect IP with reference to country and by that, a particular amount of satoshi cannot be exceeded by any means and if that can happen to faucet site, there is nothing stopping gambling site from implementing although I have not confirmed that.
3418  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you a problem gambler? on: June 01, 2017, 07:10:16 PM
Not everybody has a problem gambling, but if you are a problem gambler, there is a support network they may help you. It starts with you recognizing the problem.

Start here:
http://www.gamblersanonymous.org/ga/content/20-questions

Let's work on this together, you're not alone and you don't need to suffer from your addiction. If you have solutions or have the compassion to provide moral support, please help by participating in this thread.
I don't need to click on that to know what is there is just common sense in which anyone going into gambling should already know without needing anyone to even tell him or her. Gambling is an activity even an economic one where you can either win or lose based on the position of chance either to you favor or against you but a fundamental thing is to be prepare to lose in other to avoid stories that touch.
3419  Economy / Speculation / Re: Anyone getting a little freaked out? on: June 01, 2017, 05:42:57 PM
Between this Aug 1 deadline on scaling and ether going crazy I am a bit concerned. Media still going strong on bitcoin but wondering if the future is still bright for bitcoin.
Like an earlier poster has rightly said, there is no need to worn yourself out about whatever will happen because you are not the only one involved  the people who are making the decisions as to which way to go knows the reason why they are doing that. We just have to wait and let things sort itself out and hope for the best which is yet to come.
3420  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you know whether its your lucky day? on: June 01, 2017, 02:06:28 PM
The only argument is to play and win and without that there is no justification for having luck. How do I say I am lucky if I am losing or how do I know if I will be lucky if I didn't try it out. This one of the reason why I don't believe in luck because its not objective and there is no way to measure and predict whether I am going to win or not based on that. I will rather believe in chance and not the colour of my cloth or the first person I greeted or even the bus I entered among several reasons.
