More than 450 times it was called as dead but it is fine and it will still be fine in future.
You are confusing two different concepts. When we look for news, we are looking for its psychological impact on new investors (weak hands), which is a completely different concept from technical analysis, which is intended to follow patterns to determine entry and exit points using several indicators such as support and resistance levels, Fibonacci analysis, and others.

FUD: Fear, uncertainty, and doubt (often shortened to FUD) is a propaganda tactic used in sales, marketing, public relations, politics, polling and cults.

Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fear,_uncertainty,_and_doubt

Technical analysis is a trading discipline employed to evaluate investments and identify trading opportunities in price trends and patterns seen on charts.

This williams indicator looks too good. But you never mentioned the timeframe for this chart. Please tell me so that I can test it myself with the current value of -20.542

it is not about chart but number of oscillator is based on it and you can judge the entry or exit points.
current Williams value
Williams %R    -4.617    Overbought

Just an observation to the indicator. I hope it has timeframe to work with especially lower timeframe to suit the day traders and scalpers too because if there are no timeframe, it will be difficult to trade rightly. Having that said I think it is nice seeing the chart reading and analysis from the indicator.

The indicator is used with a group of indicators to come up with an integrated vision. For example, at the moment the indicators are:

Quote

RSI(14)    45.631    Neutral
STOCH(9,6)    95.694    Overbought
STOCHRSI(14)    100.000    Overbought
MACD(12,26)    -559.320    Sell
ADX(14)    29.104    Buy
Williams %R    -4.617    Overbought
CCI(14)    76.1190    Buy
ATR(14)    573.9212    Less Volatility
Highs/Lows(14)    0.0000    Neutral
Ultimate Oscillator    57.934    Buy

What Is the Williams %R Indicator?

Let's go back in time to 1973 when the US officially removed itself from the gold standard where inflation was high and rising and took steps to rein in inflation and because of those policies many commodities saw strong trends, just as they are now and therefore in the current uncertainty using momentum indicators will help you determine the direction of the market To determine entry and exit points.

Williams %R aka Williams Percent Range, is a type of momentum indicator that moves between (0 to -100) and measures overbought and oversold levels.

%R formula

In short, it is a process of determining how close the current price is to a recent high or low, %R is a limited oscillator so as to make the oscillation range between zero or less than -100.

A reading above -20 is considered the peak area, which means that a correction may be close, and therefore it is an exit or selling point for the assets.
The exact opposite happens to the reading below -80, the oversold area, and therefore it is an entry or buying point for assets.

Sometimes the limitation of the oscillator causes the price to stay in the peak area for a long time.

how to use Williams %R Indicator

To get the best areas to enter when an asset is oversold and below -80, the trader can buy as soon as the market crosses upwards above -80.
Then the trader can wait for the market to cross up below 20.

2683  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Have you tried replacing the SSD in your umbrel Bitcoin Machine? on: June 13, 2022, 01:35:23 PM
Just curious if anyone has attempted to replace the SSD that is inside the Bitcoin Machine. The umbrel device came with either a 1TB or 2TB option. But I was just curious if anyone has attempted to upgrade their device yet? Sounds like you just have to remove the case and simply replace your 1TB with a higher capacity SSD.
If you bought or own 2 TB SDD then you can remove old one and insert the source drive into slot 1 and the target drive into slot 2.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07429D73L/?tag=ricksdailytips-20

it may take some time and it is better to back-up it, if any errors happen.

If you plan to buy then new laptop and add SSD to it.

it will not effect your minning speed but power and boot time.
2684  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Solo mine / sovereign individual on: June 13, 2022, 12:56:31 PM
AFAIK, mining software is not only concerned with the programming language, but rather with how to make optimal use of the available physical capabilities (monitor hardware temperature, detect and start idle threads).

Make a small comparison between the currently available software and you will find that CGMiner is the best for the reason mentioned above.
you must have technical knowledge of computer database, physical parts of mining equipment, and good software experience to be able to compete with current mining software.

the best what you can do is to fork opensource one and try to optimize it.

I don’t care about electricity costs, ROI, blah blah blah. This is my life, and it makes me happy to learn; happiness and fulfillment has no ROI prerequisite to me.

Can anyone give me some good advice on what questions I should be asking? Or where I should start? Thank you

Mining is a profit-based economic activity. If you don't care about electricity costs, you may end up wasting thousands of dollars trying to build something.
2685  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bottom is almost in on: June 13, 2022, 12:16:18 PM
When I saw the price when I woke up I remembered your previous post, so will the bottom be the 200 Weekly Moving Average at about 21.8 or 50% of the 32K (Hash Ribbon Indicator).
That is, the price will stop above the previous ATH (19.7k,) or we may see for the first time a price below 19k (old ATH) and closer to/less than 17k.

I bought 40% at 24.2k and I'm still waiting for what happens.
I hope the price will come back soon
2686  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto cycle to start by Q4, 2022 on: June 13, 2022, 10:08:15 AM
“My hope is that by the fourth quarter, the economy will be slowing enough that the Fed says we are going to pause, and then you will see the next crypto cycle start. Then Bitcoin will break from equities and lead markets".
The expectations he mentioned have a historical basis, which is that Bitcoin usually closes high at the end of each year.
it is natural for us to close on a high, but the question is from what bottom? previous summit? 30k? or less?

The analysis that Mike Novogratz mentioned is trying to link Bitcoin and stocks by making the Fed the main controller in this market by adjusting interest rates, but prices are far from the Fed’s direct control and perhaps need more powers and legislation to be able to make a change in the price of Bitcoin in the long term.

These times are not useful for beginners or for following opinions and expectations, either you buy more or consider the value of your currencies at zero and wait for several months/years but do not sell.
2687  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Has the Coinbase AMM smart trading system launched yet? on: June 12, 2022, 03:23:27 PM
I can count some ways for you to earn from coins using your cryptocurrency (USDT):

  • Coinbase Earn: learning the basics by watch short videos.
  • Stake  your crypto: earn up 5% interest but you need to trust them and all your profits may end if price go down deeply (trading is better)
  • Earn up 2.00% APY rewards byholding Dai or 0.15% APY for USD Coin
  • Lending: risky and not recommended .

All the methods I mentioned above do not give a guaranteed profit of 20% and therefore they are not profitable, especially if the price moves down.

If there is any profit method that is not mentioned in the above link, know that you are being deceived or phishing scam site.
2688  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and tools. Would you like to spend/live without extra data control? on: June 12, 2022, 02:35:05 PM
What do you think?

In a simple way, we can consider Bitcoin a decentralized, pseudo-anonymous currency, and you can enhance privacy with a little effort but always remember that privacy is came with cost and learn, so even if you use Bitcoin with a high level of privacy, your ignoring the basics of privacy will end everything.

To enhance privacy you need:

  • Use an open source operating system.
  • Do not give permissions to closed or unknown programs.
  • Remove the physical parts or reduce their use as much as possible (camera, GPS, ... etc.)

To enhance the privacy of Bitcoin:

  • RUN full node, open source wallet.
  • Dont trust, verify.
  • Use Tor, and trusted VPN.
  • Do not download any application that you do not know
  • Pay cash, buy digital services and sell them for bitcoin.
  • Do not buy bitcoins from sites to which you have provided personal data or use a mixing service.
  • Learn more and be careful.

During the past month, the price was greatly affected by what happened with Luna, and now we have record inflation, expectations of economic stagnation and uncertainty, which will force many platforms to reduce employment, achieve losses and problems that may affect the continuity of their economic activity.

I will update this list soon.

2690  Economy / Services / Re: [WTB] Twitter NFTs exposure Followers, rt and like on: June 10, 2022, 09:40:53 PM
We are launching Free Mint project tomorrow, and we are looking for REAL Twitter exposure.
Followers, rt and likes to buzz about it

To get “real” subscribers, you either need to motivate them to follow you automatically or pay them in the form of a payments/BOUNTY campaign, and the more you pay in Bitcoin, the more experienced members and valuable Twitter accounts you will get.

It will not cost you much, it will be about $2000 to 10K depending on the number of followers you need and how active they are and the conditions of their accounts.

In this forum, most of us are interested in Bitcoin and not NFT, you will probably find more interaction in other forums.
2691  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitcointalk Account seller on: June 10, 2022, 09:29:55 PM
Is the activity of buying and selling accounts booming in these times?

Signature campaigns decrease when the hype around Bitcoin decreases and the number of people who spend more time here to make a profit is decreasing, these times are not ideal for selling BTT accounts.

There are more risks in selling these accounts such as getting caught, negativity, change of writer style, buyer won't be able to write high quality posts and many more issues.

It wouldn't be a smart move to pay $200 to buy BTT accounts instead of buying Bitcoin directly.
2692  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM HUOBI Luna Airdrop on: June 10, 2022, 09:11:17 PM
Luna case needs a thorough investigation because it contains one of the most famous current collapses in cryptocurrencies and it may be a major scam in which the currency team involved with several parties, so without opening that investigation we can consider everyone involved to get as much as possible of profits.

Exchanges have updated the balances of their clients who meet the Airdop conditions, and some of the unlucky clients will not get anything either because they violate the terms of use of the platform (and the platform knows this, but it lets them trade) or for other reasons.
2693  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bloomberg Terminal supersizes its crypto coverage: 40 more coins on: June 10, 2022, 09:02:27 PM
These traditional institutions, I would not rule out seeing soon Crypto 30 (measures the trading volumes of the first 30 currencies in terms of market value) or Crypto 100.

We will not need to know or track most cryptocurrencies, personally I have not invested in more than 6 currencies and I think the crypto community will fail to mention the name of 50 cryptocurrencies.

Let's bet, name 50 cryptocurrencies (coins/tokens) and 10 blockchains (coins) without Google.

Digging into more than 100 altcoins is a waste of time, resources, and cloud space.
2694  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Hash Ribbons Capitulation Alert! on: June 10, 2022, 08:41:59 PM
It's the first time I've heard of this indicator. It has been released in October 2019, but the philosophy behind it seems to be applicable, I will look for more during the day.

Thanks @dragonvslinux for the reply, you have added a lot of arguments that seem more logical to me . I have some questions as I understood above:

  • We do not need to review these indicators unless the price drops below $25.5K, right?
  • If the price drops to lower levels, the miners will not close the mining tools directly, which means that we may see the effect after two or three months and not directly.
  • During this period, if the price goes back up, will it cancel the effect?
  • Are miners affected by the daily or weekly changes in the bitcoin price? I thought they were investing in the long term.

Re-posting my response to this in the correct thread...

updating....

2695  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin scenario crashing to $20.000 - $23.000 on: June 10, 2022, 08:11:53 PM
Does the price follow logical analysis? The price went crazy at the end of 2020 and the beginning of 2021. Even with all the negative news that was happening, the continuation of some institutions to buy bitcoin made the price go up sharply, so things like accepting bitcoin will make the price soar.

I do not expect that we will witness a change in the barrier of ~20k,30k.40k at the present time unless something exceptional happens, so the levels of changing from 23k to 20k do not represent a serious change.

The serious change will be if it falls below the level of 19k, which is the psychological barrier that was not broken in the previous cycles.

and we touch less than 23k  ($22.9k on KuCoin BTC/USDC.)

2697  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reputable CEX/DEX for promising new coins? on: June 09, 2022, 08:01:10 PM
In your experience what has been a reputable CEX/DEX for promising new coins with their own blockchain?
It is impossible to succeed in promoting a currency with its own blockchain without having experience, so create a token on one of the famous blockchains with low fees.
Smart contracts on Ethereum are expensive, so those who are looking for cryptocurrency as an investment will avoid them, so look for BSC or Polygon.

  • For BSC it is  best to use PancakeSwap
  • For Polygon it is best to use Quickswap
  • For CEXs its best to have listing fees and Some criteria apply to your coin.

do not trust accounts that give timings to publish something, whether it is good or bad. If you have any confidential details about an issue, post part of it and leave the rest on successive periods, but do not say I will publish on such and such a date.

  • I can't say for sure what that account is trying to say, but after seeing the raw data, that will be determined.
  • Do not try to download any file that you upload, even if it is a Word, Excel or PDF file.

2699  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the future of bitcoin? Commodity, currency or smth else? on: June 09, 2022, 07:43:30 PM
"Money" should have an unlimited future because the number of inhabitants of the planet is increasing and the socially produced product is increasing.

I know some *cryptocurrencies* that have a supply of around quadrillion.  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Let's take Bitcoin, here is less than 22 million BTC but Bitcoin can be divided into several satoshis which means that limited supply is not a problem if we are talking at the dollar satoshi level.

Demand is the problem, I don't think we'll get enough demand to get one satoshi worth a dollar.
2700  Economy / Speculation / Impact of the June Interest Rate Adjustment on the Bitcoin Price on: June 09, 2022, 07:21:15 PM
The interest decision issued by the US Federal Reserve will be June 15, 2022 within 5 days, during which the market may witness some  stability, but what will happen if:

  • The Fed decided to raise interest rates by 50 basis points.
  • The Fed decided to raise interest rates by more than 50 basis points.
  • The Fed decided to cut interest rates by less than 50 basis points.
  • The Fed decided not to make a change in monetary policy.

How will one of the options above affect the price of Bitcoin or will it not have an effect?

or by the end of June 20, 2022 price will be:

  • >= 20,000
  • >= 30,000
  • >= 40,000
  • >= 50,000
