2761  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for a Good credible bounty manager on: December 07, 2021, 06:00:43 PM
I wonder how? How are you going to be scammed if you get payment via PayPal. This is just a way of payment - to me it sounds as inadequate as saying, I only accept payments in ETher and everyone who pays with BTC are scammers.
While PayPal payments can be reversed, there is no difference between ETH and BTC payments in terms of reversibility, so in your argument, you are using a wrong example.

People even stopped carrying out p2p transactions involving PayPal because of the chargeback feature, where many people ended up getting scammed. Just check out the different p2p exchanges and see how many traders accept PayPal payments. Close to zero.

The simpler thing to do is convert the PayPal funds to any cryptocurrency like Bitcoin or ETH or even USDT if you are scared of the asset dropping in value and then pay them using that. It brings confidence to both parties.

I know about Moonitor (https://moonitor.io)

and then BitTab (https://bittab.io) which I am currently using mostly as a coin price ticker app on desktop. For the portfolio part, You might have to add the values manually to the app

2763  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Forget about exchanger search! Use BestChange! on: December 06, 2021, 11:54:23 PM
When do we talk about additional features from your service, how exactly works your affiliate program?
therefore I recommend your service, the potential client chooses pairs and exchangers and performs the conversion. How do you determine the affiliate commission?
I believe you will have to use the affiliate link to recommend a new customer so that's how they keep track. I don't know if they pay for every conversion someone makes but the certainly do pay for every customer you attract to the site through your link

2764  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Helium miners on: December 06, 2021, 11:36:15 PM
I heard that mining helium is more profitable than mining Ethereum with graphic cards, it's such a shame that I can't buy a helium miner because it's not supported in Africa countries as we speak, it's a big shame as I waited over and over for support but no luck
You just have to pray that more people adopted the network and spread the network coverage in Africa. I just checked out the network coverage and I can see some hotspots in South Africa though not yet concentrated but it's surely growing. I think it's much better than It could have been 6 months ago so If you are in the South African region, you be able to mine some HT soon

2765  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: shorting coin on: December 06, 2021, 10:59:47 PM
I think the only way to short cryptos in the US is by margin trading or futures trading (both I know are available on Kucoin), but both of these are extremely risky and not a good option for beginners. If you margin trade and you're wrong, you'll get liquidated which means you will lose your entire account.
Are you sure you can trade futures on Kucoin without undergoing KYC verification?

I'm a newbie so why do people want to avoid KYC? is it to avoid taxes or to avoid the lengthy vetting/approval processes that people who can't wait will go crazy about? because i'm fine giving an exchange my personal information if that's what it takes to short coin, even if i have to pay taxes on my capital gains
The reason people are probably suggesting No KYC exchanges is because you are a US citizen. Most of the platforms have banned US customers from trading crypto derivatives.

So you have a chance of trading the crypto derivatives if the exchange does not enforce KYC verification yet.
2766  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Script to Hack Private Key from RSZ signature , Python on: December 06, 2021, 10:25:02 PM
There was no scam in it , Script works exactly as i described in the post But This script is not for everyone and I stopped selling it now,
Just admit that you were caught pants down. If your so called script was legit, you wouldn't have hesitated to crack what BlackHatCoiner provided to you.

Infact i want to delete this post but it won't let me delete the post in this section
It's the point. isn't it?

2767  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Documentary 'Finding Satoshi' will investigate the origins of Satoshi Nakamoto on: December 06, 2021, 10:09:03 PM
Why should we care about who satoshi is today?

The mere fact that Bitcoin has been doing well and it's adoption has been improving for over a decade without anyone having any clue who the Bitcoin creator was, is more than enough to show that the Bitcoin community just doing fine with the status quo.

What intrigues me is the malicious actors who have no interest in Bitcoin and created their under performing shitcoins are more concerned about trying to take credit for being the creators of bitcoin, yet they have their forgotten shitcoins to run  Huh

I wouldn't be surprised if the Documentary is another one of Faketoshi's plots.
2768  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jury: Bitcoin creator Craig Wright 100% Satoshi Nakamoto on: December 06, 2021, 09:53:58 PM
https://www.smh.com.au/business/markets/australian-to-keep-billions-in-bitcoins-after-winning-trial-20211207-p59fcm.html
'Craig Wright, an Australian computer scientist who claims to be the inventor of Bitcoin, prevailed in a highly publicised trial on Monday in Florida that will allow him to hold onto a hoard of Bitcoins worth tens of billions of dollars.'

How can the jury allow him to hold these (Satoshi's) Bitcoin, if he is not the owner?
So you also fell for this crap? Come on @mynonce

There's only one much more legit way for CW to prove his claims and he has failed to do so. Given how malicious and greedy CW is, If he had access to the satoshi era addresses, don't you think he would have already signed the much needed message spent all the Bitcoins in there to fund his shitcoin since he nolonger believes in Bitcoin?
2769  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the difference between seed phrase and private key? on: December 05, 2021, 11:34:46 PM
In basic terms a private keys seed phrase is a representation of the private keys in an easily readable format in which you can back it up. Handling private keys would be difficult for most to write down and store without errors, so the seed or recovery phrase encodes the same information contained in the private key in a more user friendly format for easier recovery of an asset.
Hey Upgrade00, You might want to correct the small error so that OP doesn't get confused when he reads through
2770  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is this exchange legit? on: December 05, 2021, 09:47:07 PM
Is this exchange legit?
This should have been the first question you asked the community here as soon as some "chick" on tinder suggested it to you. Why did you have to send money to some website you didn't know about suggested by someone whom you have never met personally?

I found it through a chick I met on tinder. Damn, I did not see that scam coming. Should have done though. Women are always my downfall.

How sure are you? It could have been lousy dude behind the fake beautiful pictures of some chic on tinder  Grin
2771  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Helium miners on: December 05, 2021, 09:21:15 PM
Also keeping the miner inside and only the antenna outside, the cable between the miner and antenna has to be really short, otherwise i lose signal and i lose reward amount.
How about weather proofing the miner so that you can keep it close to the antenna since the cable is short?
I believe the antenna is weather proof... Right?

This subreddit might be a good place for you since there is a large group of guys operating Helium miners there - https://www.reddit.com/r/HeliumNetwork/

2772  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Staking a better option over mining? on: December 05, 2021, 08:54:44 PM
4. To make reasonable money from staking it requires higher amount of money, you can build rig and make money cheaper than staking
Even using a high amount of money on coins to stake isn't worth it. 7% APY is very low for one to risk let say $1M locked up for a year. You are better of using 1/10th of that amount spot trading Bitcoin and some alts and you could even earn way more than someone staking
2773  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How much are the fees in Bitcoin? on: December 04, 2021, 12:38:14 AM
It depends on the type of wallet you use.

If it's a custodial web wallet like coinbase, blockchain.com, freewallet  or exchange, they may charge you a flat fee for withdrawal which is usually very expensive and exaggerated.
If it's a noncustodial wallet, it might entirely be up on the way they estimate fees.

Certain noncustodial wallets like electrum can let you pick a specific fee rate with which you want to send the Bitcoins rather than use the estimated optimal fee rate based on the last few confirmed blocks. This can in most cases prove a cheap way especially if the mempool is almost empty.

Right now if you check out mempool explorers like https://mempool.space. The fee rate is not that high. You can use it to estimate which fee rate you would like to use for your transaction.
2774  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How does Open Interest can determine the bitcoin prices ? on: December 04, 2021, 12:24:26 AM
Open Interest is the total number of contracts held by positions opened by traders at any given time. The total number of contracts in open positions can be from both traders who short and traders who long.

So every time you open a short or long position, it means the open interest will increase by the number of contracts in your position, every time you close a short or long position, it means the open interest will decrease by the number of contracts in your closed position.

Therefore when open interest spikes, it means there are so many traders who have opened positions at a given time perhaps in anticipation to a strong movement or the market or trend. If the open interest plunges, it means there are so many traders who had open positions have closed them at a given time perhaps in anticipation to the movement or due to weakened market trend and momentum.

You can't determine market movement alone using open interested. You need to combine it with other indicators like volume. Exchange apps like Bybit can send you notifications of open interest during certain market conditions.

You can also get Open Interest(OI) data from tools like coinalyze - https://coinalyze.net/futures-data/coins/

Here is a summary from investopedia

2775  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I only have 0.0001 Bitcoin is that okay? on: December 03, 2021, 11:49:16 PM
It's more that Ok if that's what you can afford. Unlike some fiat currencies, you can buy, sell or hold or transfer a fraction of 1 Bitcoin without any problem Some time last year 0.0001 BTC was worth $5, today it's worth $53. Tomorrow it could be worth more.
2776  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Staking a better option over mining? on: December 03, 2021, 11:25:13 PM
Staking?

Let's do the math.

What's the point of staking a coin like Solana (currently at $212) at 6.7% APY which is the current rate on some platforms, only for the coin to drop by 80% to a price of $42 which is very possible in crypto.

Lets say you locked 10 SOL for a year, you would earn only 0.68 SOL ($144 at the current price of Solana). After a freakin year, you get only $144.

If the price dropped to $42 during the course of the year, that would just be $28.56 with other condition remaining constant.
Your SOL which was worth $2,120 becomes worth $420

2777  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I made the right decision in November on: December 03, 2021, 10:45:10 PM
Like they always say, the best time to sell is when the demand or prices are still very high rather than when prices drop and everyone is panic selling. The decision is not bad depending on your target

I am still having mixed feelings on the price of GPUs in the coming bear market given that this time round, shortages were magnified by the pandemic and disruption of production.
2778  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbene customers face difficulties withdrawing their funds on: December 02, 2021, 11:59:13 PM
I remember posting about their planned closure about 3 weeks ago. It doesn't come as a surprise that people are now facing difficulties with withdrawals.

It's also completely unfair given the short time frame users were given to withdraw their funds.

This is the snippet of the announcement

Quote
Withdrawal closing: CoinBene users are requested to complete asset withdrawal before November 15, 2021. After the platform is closed, users who have not completed asset withdrawal can contact the platform through the customer service email before November 31, 2021, and apply for asset withdrawal after completing identity verification. After November 31, 2021, the platform will complete the cancellation and liquidation. At that time, there will be no customer service personnel to accept the withdrawal request initiated by the user. The user needs to bear the asset loss caused by not withdrawing in time.

Customer service email: support@coinbene.com

Yeah i know and have seen it yesterday , thanks to mitchell s bot as he is catching all the posts from them and im honest without the bot it would be a nightmare to get the posts deleted .
About the Accounts , it looks like that they have a ton of them and if they dont have hacked accounts they creating new one.
Its better for us if they still posting the Links when they got deleted on github , that means they wasting accounts for nothing as the links not anymore danger then.
Anyway i dont give up on that case , we won the fight against the Fake ANNs from them as i believe this was the same Hackers and we will this one too trust me.
There are some investigations behind the scene  Wink
The bot is really a savior. I just got to know about it now.

John Potter registered back in 2017 just post in the altcoins mining section what a believe was malware and within minutes the post was deleted

Archive - https://ninjastic.space/topic/5375069

This is the second time i have noticed this. It makes me wonder if such accounts detected by the bot get banned as well.
2780  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are the sites where it is paid daily or weekly with STAKING on: November 30, 2021, 11:57:40 PM
Binance has been my top option here and its working pretty good. Just don’t expect that much especially if you are going to stake small amount of money because the profit is not that worth it. I only suggest stake with good money and if you have a little capital, you can just trade it if you already have experience about trading, that can be more profitable.
It's why I never stake. Whenever I see the projected annual profits. it's not worth it.

Imagine having to risk lets say 100,000 but locking it up in some centralized platform only to earn 9% after a year. Once can make more than 9% in a single trade, whether spot or futures.
The risks involved with just keeping the funds in the centralized exchanges are way to high that the expected gains
