2761  Economy / Securities / Re: How much BTC have you lost out on because you listened to Vandroiy? on: August 19, 2012, 11:08:41 PM
Sorry for the slight necro, but I did a search on "lost Bitcoin". At least those of us with our BTC can sell it right now... And we owe Vandroiy our gratitude, even if it will likely cost him 5000 BTC when everyone ultimately gets paid.

Why? Don't you believe in the value of Bitcoin?
2762  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: The Scam was never a PONZI..... the Scam was the ENDGAME. on: August 19, 2012, 09:56:50 PM
It's pretty damn obvious that those who are planning on getting coins back from pirate are already selling their existing reserves in order to get the maximum payout before all the other payout recipients dump their coins.

It's a race to the bottom.

If they were smart they would've sold already on friday, right after the announcement Wink

quickbitcoins.net is a site owned by the same person who owns btcpantry.com
2764  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: The Scam was never a PONZI..... the Scam was the ENDGAME. on: August 19, 2012, 09:17:05 PM
There's a reason why certain people refused to EVER talk about USD in reference to Bitcoin with his Lenders.
Bitcoin was ALWAYS Bitcoin and nothing more.....NEVER translating into a discussed amount of US Dollars.

Ever wonder how long it will take to virtually (well, literally) suck the economic life out of Bitcoin ? My guess is 2 weeks.

I for one am looking forward to an increase in my invested Bitcoins of 7% at the cost of 50% of their USD value.

HOW COULD I BE SO FUCKING STUPID ?

Good to know you only think short term, bitlane.
2765  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Someone encoding a message to the address with 400k coins? on: August 19, 2012, 08:58:30 PM

Oh :/

Thanks for pointing us to that.

What a boring message though.

BTW, quickbitcoins is supposed to be .net, not .com Grin
2766  Economy / Lending / Re: Bryan Micon's List of BTC Ponzi Schemes that should not be listed as "Lending" on: August 19, 2012, 08:47:49 PM
Noticed not one of the main ponzi crew want to take the bet... As they say talk is cheap..

Pokes the hornets nest....
I will take the bet at odds inline with the market.

There is no market for bets.
You just like the sound of your voice. You're a coward, just like 99% of PonziTeam. Put your money where your mouth is.
My 50BTC to your 125BTC? Escrow required. It is free money if you truly believe in pirate.

Look at my reply above. And dude... 50 BTC? Really?
2767  Economy / Lending / Re: Bryan Micon's List of BTC Ponzi Schemes that should not be listed as "Lending" on: August 19, 2012, 08:44:21 PM
I have my bet made on Pirate. You, Vladimir, all you have is a big mouth.
2768  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1DkyBEKt5S2GDtv7aQw6rQepAvnsRyHoYM on: August 19, 2012, 08:27:22 PM
QUICKITCOINSBTCPANTRY.COM - does not work.

2 sites from the same owner.
Quickbitcoins.com
BTCPantry.com
2769  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will pirateat40 announce he's been caught by the government? on: August 19, 2012, 08:12:45 PM
Tax evasion and money laundering? Government will pay back depositors if they provide their tax information?

Just a thought I had. Would be a convenient excuse and scare people off from trying to claim their money back.

Which government?
2770  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I'm giving 100%(x2) away to anyone who thinks pirate is a fraud on: August 19, 2012, 08:09:59 PM
Wouldn't posting the address here in public make everything much more trustworthy? Everybody can see I sent the money... I would also post the address where I would expect my winnings to be returned.
Maybe that's just newbie thinking, what's the customs here?

Uhh, I guess. But you sending money to someone else is none of my business. I was just saying that on my side, if I follow the OP to the letter, no one is eligible unless they are an established 100+ member. By you making it obvious here that you're just sending it to someone else and having them bet for you, how can I honestly accept it? Am I being too anal here?  Cheesy

You are. You already said it that you would accept bets from unestablished members if the paid upfront if that wouldn't make you change the terms outlined on the first post.
Unless you don't trust any of the proxies on their word that they have the funds to send you if you win.
I know I'm not risking a scammer tag.
2771  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I'm giving 100%(x2) away to anyone who thinks pirate is a fraud on: August 19, 2012, 08:01:59 PM
el_rlee, I explained the conditions. It's up to you to take it or leave it.
If you wish to accept them, I'll post a deposit address here in the thread.

And, Matthew, you forgot me, for 50%. The only one who explained the whole deal.

BTW, I make everything public. There are no hidden arrangements.

Is there a way to find out if it was change indeed?

It was not.

How did you get that view? I can't find that on here.

Disable the advanced view at the bottom of the page

Still. He has ten 10,000 BTC inputs. Why was it necessary to add the two small sub-0.01 BTC inputs and send the sum of that to a separate address?

Could it be Mt. Gox activity?

Does the QT GUI Satoshi client do sendmany transactions by default?

Yes it does support sending them from the GUI

2775  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I'm giving 200% away to anyone who thinks pirate is a fraud on: August 19, 2012, 05:30:49 PM
I felt my 10% offer to be pretty generous...

My 50% offer is more generous. Especially because I think anyone betting against Matthew is going to lose, so, most likely I have nothing to gain from doing this besides headaches and lost time.
2776  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I'm giving 200% away to anyone who thinks pirate is a fraud on: August 19, 2012, 05:23:24 PM
I'm willing to serve as an itermediate to non-established members to bet.
They will need to send me the funds to hold on escrow.
My price will be 50% of the proceeds in case you win and Matthew lose.
If you lose, I don't get a dime and will pay Matthew the funds I'm holding.
Winning bets will also be paid to an address under my control, from which I'll send 50% to the bettor.

Anyone willing to accept those terms PM me for a deposit address and I'll post the bet in the thread.
2777  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I'm giving 200% away to anyone who thinks pirate is a fraud on: August 19, 2012, 04:53:15 PM
pointless thread is pointless. good job, mnw.

Is it really pointless?
I can see what Matthew is doing, can't you?
No, I will not comment on his real intentions. It's a win/win situation for him. Grin

You give me too much credit. I have nothing invested in Pirate. If I lose this bet, I simply lose. You only live once though, right?

It has nothing to do with having money invested.

2779  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: [POLL] How will Pirateat40's debt repayment unfold? on: August 19, 2012, 04:44:59 PM
LOL, so when I get my BTC back next week what will be your theory then - a ponzi that made people money, paid everyone back and then closed?

I dont have one; and no one so far has formulated a credible one. But whatever it is or is not,  certainly wouldnt have to involve "psyops to descredit bitcoin".

I do know that if it turns out to be a ponzi where millions of dollars go up in smoke, that will make the press and do infinitely more damage to bitcoins reputation than some forums posts warning about a ponzi that turned out not to be one..

The accusations made it to the press. Retractions will need to be made, wether the press wants it or not.
2780  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I'm giving 200% away to anyone who thinks pirate is a fraud on: August 19, 2012, 04:40:31 PM
Question: how will you decide if pirate really paid back his investors?

1. what happens if he pays back the small investors at the expenses of the largest ones, and pretends that those that have not been paid never invested in his fund?

2. what happens if he pays back all investors, and some users pretend to have been scammed, just in order to destroy your bet?

nanotube has the hashes of all withdrawal addresses and deposited ammounts. It's somewhere on the bet thread.
