ok, I tried viaelctrum with my seed again, and it still shows 0 balance.
When I put in my clearwallet seed, it shows "seed type old". Do I leave it like that. Am I supposed to go to options and do something?
The address it generates is not on the block chain when I search in the block explorer.
Any ideas? Short of clearwallet.co coming back, I have not access to my Via. Is there anyway I can use the clearwallet code to get the PK/Addresses? I'm stuck here.
clearing house is not my project. That project is halted. I took over in summer 2016. You can't use your clearinghouse seed for vialectrum. You had to export your Viacoin private key. People used it dangerously as an online wallet. Edit: I'm glad you found your private key. Don't bother about the XCH. XCH is worth $0 I'm glad too. I don't have a lot, but enough to cry about. I'll not worry about XCH then if it's been abandoned. Thanks for resurrecting this BTW. Great work.

Hello Please can someone advice when is the best time to buy BCH and what is the possibility of BCH price going up to meet BTC
Never, slim to none. Or, no one knows.

please, tell me, if sent coins bcc to the address btc I can get the coins bcc back? or i can forget about them?
If it was your address, you have the priv key, just use it on the other network. BTC and BCH address and priv keys are the same.

I need help. I have transfered 2.5 btc from bittrex to hitbtc by mistake i puted the bcc wallet address so i have not received btc into my hitbtc id but into my bittrex transection has complited also into blockchain it is sowing complited so kindly help me how i can get my btc
if the address generated after the fork. then your BTC is gone for good Unless you can get the exchange to give you the Privkey for that address and you can import/sweep it into a bitcoin wallet and they can remove the address from their database.

Hey guys, what is Electroncash wallet safe for use?
This wallet is OK, worked fine. It's made for those who do not have patience and 130GB disk space to waste. I used Coinomi for Android and it worked beautifully. I have heard sketch stories about Electron Cash so I will stay away. Not worth the risk. You don't have to give Coinomi your wallet seed either, just scan your private keys in via QR code from your BTC Electrum wallet. Giving it the priv keys is about the same as giving it the SEED... Unless you have moved all your coins to a new address in your wallet. Even that seems risky to me.

B cash ... sigh ... its going to take months to dump this shit for btc... so annoying; such a distraction
You can just pretend it doesn't exist which I'm sure most BTC holders are doing.

I always wondered how or why the block increase to 8mb in BCC/BCH would be a good thing @blueshoe?
Because Bitcoin Core 1MB was failing at keeping up with transactions and it transaction fees were skyrocketing which cause many vendors to drop it. Just because there is a momentary lag in transaction backlog on bitcoin core, does not mean bitcoin core fixed anything. The majority of transactions just moved to litecoin and Eth. Bitcoin Cash is the Fix to the Core's failures and the next backlog on core, it will be apparent to all of the naysayers and core religious fanatics. CA$H is Superior to Core and Value will reflect that within the year. ╥Aztek But there are tons of alternatives (alt coins) to Bitcoin that can boast many transactions per second. Is that is the only thing that is important why is bitcoin still around? Starting with Litecoin... 8x the capacity of Bitcoin, POS, SHA256, etc. If that's all it was about, then everyone should have dropped bitcoin and moved to lite coin. But it didn't happen. There's hundreds of them... they all claim to do something better than bitcoin. Why haven't any of them replaced bitcoin?

keep selling guys, im buying I want to sell at .2, you want? lols no, i can buy cheaper from dumps, im gonna pump the fk outta this before polo gives deposits on the 14th By then it will be under $100 everywhere i really wish i could buy em @ $100, but i aint gonna happen. to many big players want to hold large amounts, letting it drop so low, lets in all the little fish... i think by 14th it could be over $1k per bcc From your mouth to God's ears.

Huh.... well I found my private key, I guess I didn't trust that clearwallet.co would always be around. So, yea, I have access to my VIA. Now, to figure out how to get access to the XCH.

I sent my bitcoin cash to a BTC address by mistake. Please what do i do. Value is $1000 help me and ill pay you $300
Very Experienced people only
As long as you have the privekey for that address it is a valid BCH address. Just import it from your BTC wallet to your BCH wallet.

Hmm I still don't understand how this can wear the name 'Bitcoin'. Litecoin seems more Bitcoin to be than Bitcoin Cash.
What part am I missing in this puzzle?
It's pretty much the bitcoin code with a few small changes. yeah but anyone could do that. I can change a few lines and call it Bitcoin Vulva Now how is it related to Bitcoin? why does it deserve the tag Bitcoin Vulva? Bitcoin Cash is just a random altcoin. Call it Coin Cash, it's. Call it Bitcoin Cash, not ok IMO. Exactly, but why is Bitcoin bitcoin? Let's say 97% of the miners switched to this code version. Would it be bitcoin or not? Is bitcoin still bitcoin, since it's running different code than when the blockchain originally launched. It's all relative.
|
|
|
Meh... if BCH becomes anything, plenty of wallets will support it. I know JAXX is working on an update now. They supported ETC and ETH pretty much from the split.

Same problem here... The string to be signed is this, correct? Stellar.org Bitcoin Giveaway Round 2: GCDH6425T4NQJXQR3B4K4MIVQ6ST5PAMJF3MQ42KVJDVE6FULWQJUDNDKHWhat I get back after signing is this: -----BEGIN BITCOIN SIGNED MESSAGE----- Stellar.org Bitcoin Giveaway Round 2: GCDH6425T4NQJXQR3B4K4MIVQ6ST5PAMJF3MQ42KVJDVE6FULWQJUDNDKH -----BEGIN SIGNATURE----- 19jEFg3YBDxbbizS1ZL43yh7id4Qyq6WcR IGow4hc5aypoEppbwruzGWWsIGk8XcTB/QJlHhki5svAZTKEQMSxv/f+sFNNz7VpeiukDyb4uVzZXHvwg5rSsog=-----END BITCOIN SIGNED MESSAGE----- So what of this is supposed to be entered on the Stellar claim page? The part in bold, I reckon. Or the shole thing? None of this has worked so far... Anyone done this succesfully? P.S. I have shuffled the characters above around a bit, in case someone smart trying to claim my Lumen. Ok, wait, it looks like your wallet is putting the address and the signature together.... 19jEFg3YBDxbbizS1ZL43yh7id4Qyq6WcR I assume is your address: while: IGow4hc5aypoEppbwruzGWWsIGk8XcTB/QJlHhki5svAZTKEQMSxv/f+sFNNz7VpeiukDyb4uVzZXHvwg5rSsog= is the signature.

For example, you can verify my message sig using this web site: https://tools.bitcoin.com/verify-message/Message: Stellar.org Bitcoin Giveaway Round 2: GBXOHNZ3F6MKG72SCDPTRWKPEPQBTW4GSJBAPTQ26XLU2ZCXID574BC2 Address: 15gaUiV5Ajt8EzNfndxhsKwTe1fFaqju4x Signature: IFrOzjxbgRq5FTNa7zj/t7PfWqtp2aXhs19YV/sbDwOlRZ6B89DkQTgdNxB1+PV2R5HqHpA/CAgBDmcuGXLhzxA=

YEs, the part in bold. What is the response from the page after you enter that signed message?
What's your bitcoin address? I will see if I can verify this message.
edit: of I can't verify if you messed it up.
Also, no one can claim your lumens, since the message you are signing includes your Stellar Public ID which is where the lumens will be sent.

* If REQ-7 Trigger hits 720 minutes then difficulty will drop 20% making mining more profitable and giving us faster confirmations.Faster confirmations perhaps, but not necessarily even close to the ~10m block time bitcoin has. The miners of Bitcoin Cash have not been loyal and the fact that Bitmain was supposedly the main supporter should put them in shame. They clearly didn't plan this ahead well enough and didn't put in the right hashrate to support their creation at its first steps. The fact that difficulty retargets have this REQ-7 doesn't even help much as even with it, when miners pull out as they did it still takes ages to reach a retarget. BCash is vulnerable to profit switch mining in the same manner Litecoin was years ago. How do you know this? Currently Bcash has the same difficulty as bitcoin, yet probably a fraction of the hash rate... which means, it will take more time for the network to find a block. It doesn't mean they aren't hashing their little CPU assess off. As the difficulty adjusts we will see how much actual hash power is on the network, but it will take some adjustments for it to find it's feet. I am holding judgement until the block times stabilize. But, it's great to see 4 MB plus blocks.
|
|
|
It also seems to me, the biggest issue with this coin is the block chain security. With 1 pool having more than 51% of the hash power, your bch (bcc) are not belong to you.
