Lol, that was a funny read. Just in case it turns real (creepy), what dates do you think we'll see this?

Who else has been tempted to sell with these rising btc prices? I have to slap my hand away from the keyboard. Short term temptation is a killer  Grin. Very impressed the price has remained this high for so long and with a increase in btc price.
well i'm happy to buy your dgb if you're gonna sell them
I'll be in line behind him.  Smiley If only I was brave enough to go back on cryptsy and take them silly walls out but bad things happen to greedy people for a good reason.
Nah Jumbley, stay away from cryptsy.
I tried to verify my account and got rejected and now i regret it lol.
I just pretend like they don't exist now
And i gotta keep that sentence in the back of my head, that bad things happen to greedy people.

Yes right now if it goes below 80 I would definitely buy again. I could've waited it to rise more because right now it's almost 110. I agree DGB at 50 right now is kinda out of the question, like BTC, I just don't see it dropping below $250 anytime soon.

I've sold again...I buy when it's "low" (50-70 satoshi) and sell when it's "high" from 100 and beyond, it's that simple for me. Of course 100 satoshi is not high for DGB but that's the actual market value. Either way we all win because we have faith on the project long term. If it drops to 50 satoshi I would buy like crazy. And under all circumstances I keep a nice amount for long term.
2864  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin, Monero, Doge, Dash? What will rise first following a BTC bull-run? on: October 29, 2015, 05:47:51 PM
There's always users talking about Monero on and on, I just don't see what's so great about it, I've used their wallet and methods and trust me, no common person will ever use something like that.

Anonymity doesn't have value to me or the majority of the people, and Bitcoin is anonymous enough if you really need that.
2865  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Buying quick btc paying with pp on: October 29, 2015, 04:45:36 PM
You won't have muck luck here because as Quickseller mentioned this is not as easy. You can use VirWox, the fees are high but they are reliable, I've used them without problems so far and for that amount it should be fine.

Not only that but the first withdrawal takes 48 hours to complete which seriously sucks.

I didn't have that problem, it took 15 minutes to get my BTC, maybe you bought more? I bought around $80-100 I don't remember and I have a verified Paypal address. If OP buys $100 they can charge him around $110/120 easily but other than that it's reliable as far as I know.

2867  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC reach $350 during november? on: October 29, 2015, 03:00:38 PM
Definitely possible, I'll not fall for the same trick again haha, I didn't believe it reached $300 in October. I would say it has an outside chance of touching some $360-370 numbers.

I think yoyoamigo sums up the Digibytye community’s feelings about this pretty accurately. This is just the beginning and this is where the ‘warren buffett’ style investors will be placing their btc!  Wink

Yes awesome research and attention to detail on all important points. I strongly agree with his view because it is optimistic of course but also very realistic in the same way, there may be some bumps in the road.
2869  Economy / Speculation / Re: This price rise is the real deal on: October 28, 2015, 07:36:55 PM
I think Bitcoin also attracts a lot of conspiracy loonies and antiestablishment paranoids, I'm not accusing anyone of course but I can see how some "NWO" fanatics are drawn to Bitcoin due to it's anonymous and decentralized concepts.

That's the thing. If you're really so concerned about the governments of nations around the world, and world economies, the "New World Order", and spying, then whether or not you use Bitcoin you're pretty fucked either way. Using Bitcoin isn't going to protect you from some NWO spying agency.

Exactly, I feel that it shares much more with the new world order than against it, but it can go both ways depending how you see it I guess. Also what I meant is that these types of people feel as that they have some hidden knowledge that others don't, you know, about lizard people and stuff hehe!

So then you have trolls calling names to others because they just "don't get it".
2870  Economy / Speculation / Re: This price rise is the real deal on: October 28, 2015, 06:40:43 PM

You're not wrong, but jeez, what is this obsession from everyone on this forum about calling other people "sheep", "sheeple", "uneducated" et cetera. Just like the world economy isn't going to collapse tomorrow, not everyone who doesn't have BTC is a "sheep". It's like the gold bugs who are obsessive.

Everyone loves to feel that they're in on something special and know something that others don't. It doesn't occur to them that plenty of folks are perfectly content trundling along as they are.

I wonder what criteria one needs to fulfill to stop being a 'sheeple'.

Nice analysis and advice, newbies like me are trying to get as much info as possible so we can move forward with our decisions. What do you think DGB value would be for the next semester or upcoming months?

The value will be what the market decides. That's the most accurate answer anyone can give you.  Undecided

I know and I understand what you mean since not sure how productive it would be to speculate on that, I was just curious to check his opinion based on his research.
2872  Economy / Speculation / Re: This price rise is the real deal on: October 28, 2015, 05:34:34 PM
Unless you are speculating and trading short term with huge amounts then I agree this is nothing but a blip. For the rest of us this is clearly a sign that we are moving forward, I mean it's obvious right, the value has been rising steadily all year!

On planet earth, years last 12 months and we're still below late December's or November's 2014 value. On which planet are you located?

Alright I see what you mean, you don't have to be rude, what about from the beginning of the year then? January you know, like most humans in this earth. Extrapolate that to the end of the year. What I meant that value has been increasing for many months.
2873  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin 'real money' to you? on: October 28, 2015, 05:16:21 PM
Bitcoin is virtual or illusion online money.
It can't be touched so it is not a real money.
Bitcoin is just number which is visualized on our monitors, but yeah it is real money because we can buy things.
It's 'machine to machine' transactions but it makes sense to us, same like the e-banking money.

Are you kidding me. So money is money because it can be touched? You must be living in the 19th century.
All modern money doesn't exist, it's just numbers on computers. Physical money will be gone in 2 decades or so, no one will use cash. It will all be digitalized.

Money is money if it gives you what you want to exchange with it. That's all. The people of the past used physical stuff to trade because they didn't had any better options.

I think what he means is that Bitcoin has no real intrinsic value as gold has. One can argue that fiat doesn't have that also, it's just paper, but of course we all know it's not the same, that's another debate for another time.
2874  Economy / Economics / Re: Let's Be Honest. We Are Waiting for $100/BTC to buy on: October 28, 2015, 05:14:43 PM
Many said that they will sell $300 but so far it didn't happen, at least not as much as expected. To Bitcoin to go back to the $100 value it will need a huge hit that I'm not sure I will be able to to stand by or support anymore. If that happens it will be a long way down, just as the opposite is a real possibility too.

Bitcoin's price and getting said Altcoins at said amounts
The more i think about it, i'm getting hit harder. When i started getting into the altcoin scene with all the buying and trading, i felt that it was really easy because buying 1 full BTC is easily affordable as long as it was <$500 and altcoins' prices were low too. And so, with 1 Bitcoin, just 1, i could easily buy 1000s, 100 000s or 1 000 000 of said altcoins after doing lots of research and tracking.

Now here is the thing. If say 1 BTC rises to more than $1000, $3000, $5000...it is also true that its harder to get said altcoins at said amounts, not forgetting that altcoin's have their own price too (even more ex if it goes up together with bitcoin's price).

so using DigiByte as an example:
$250 = 1 BTC. I buy 1 BTC and buy Digibyte at 20 SAT = 5 million DGB
$500 = 1 BTC. I buy 1 BTC and buy Digibyte at 50 SAT = 2 million DGB. BUT if i want 5 million DGB, i will need 2.5 BTC and it will cost me $1250.

See the big diff between $250 and $1250 with only 2 small changes in prices???

Even if i am able to convert FIAT > ALTCOIN directly and not FIAT > BITCOIN > ALTCOIN, it doesn't change the situation much as currently, all altcoins' prices are based on Bitcoin's price measured in Satoshi.

Thinking about the Year 2016
The year 2016 will be very happening and interesting if the world of cryptocurrency doesn't get obstructed, crushed and destroyed by whatever (including by itself). putting all that aside and thinking about 2016, be it start mid or end of 2016, just looking at the projects from said altcoins and various startups, we can expect more than half of them to enter Beta or Launch Phase.

I haven't factor in how bad events can help to boost Bitcoin/Altcoin. For e.g., global market crash. But just thinking from the developers point of view, about how they go about with their projects and scheduled datelines, and what will happen at certain stages like Beta and Launch Phase, also knowing that there are many other cryptocurrency projects that are in the works besides theirs, yea...that's the picture i am getting.

Conclusion
Everyone, be glad you are in this early into the altcoin scene...or rather...the Digibyte Scene. those who just got in, you better speed up your research and act decisively fast.
my advice is - before the end of 2015. You don't wanna get in when projects are done.

For those who were early...i advice doing some kind of "go-through-all-resources-and-notes" kind of thing. like tidy up here and there, what to backup, what to keep track of, change and record passwords, split up huge amounts in addresses into smaller amounts, etc. Just to reorganize and get more prepared. Whatever is obselete and gone or are no longer of any use, may want to just put it one side for future references. store them some where.

CHEERS EVERYONE!

Nice analysis and advice, newbies like me are trying to get as much info as possible so we can move forward with our decisions. What do you think DGB value would be for the next semester or upcoming months?
2877  Economy / Speculation / Re: Coinbase hit $315, so? on: October 28, 2015, 05:07:42 PM
back to $220, you'll see.

Buy signal? seriously think at best you could hope for $250. Failing that you will need some seriously bad news to drop that far, bottom trend line is like $240-$250

I think if you are looking to buy, anything around $260-270 should be good to go right now. But with Bitcoin one never knows.
2878  Economy / Speculation / Re: Got my 1st BTC, and now? on: October 28, 2015, 03:29:04 PM

Trading alts is a very dangerous game. If you have no inside information, you will lose a lot. 99.9% altcoins are scams. All the market cap of alts added up is less than of bitcoin.

lol it's not 99.9%, maybe 75-80% but not that high.

Yeah I agree, there are plenty of coins that have been established for years. I also agree it's not really profitable if you don't know what you are doing but it's fine to make a quick buck. I wouldn't recommend going all in.
2879  Economy / Speculation / Re: Rallye topped at 300$, sell now! on: October 28, 2015, 03:27:24 PM
I thought that once Bitcoin value hit $300 there would be massive sells and price would drop a little. But so far it's almost getting support there, amazing.
2880  Economy / Speculation / Re: We hit $300! on: October 28, 2015, 12:18:29 PM
While it's great we hit $300, I also agree that people will be buying now, I know I did in the early $200, I guess is just a mind trick.
