BTW, the new CORE wallet will work with TREZOR:

And that's just the tip of the iceberg.

Among other things I will add 2 pretty big features that will smooth the way for both decentralized blockexplorer and decentralized exchange.

I will explain soon. (or can you guess what they are?)

georgem, the rest of my little donation should be there now

As mentioned by someone else, the IQ of this thread is impressive (except for me...).  Waiting and watching

Thanks again, you are awesome.

My brother sent me a text saying Santander are using blockchains to do money transfer. They're catching up  Wink

Trust me, what we are doing is completely unique. We are going to have copycats AFTER we succeed not before.

Currently I'm wrestling with Visual Studio to create a true 64-bit windows wallet of the new CORE version.
I added lots of interesting new features to the CORE wallet too, stay tuned, not 100% ready yet.
303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SpreadCoin | Decentralize Everything (decentralized blockexplorer coming) on: July 23, 2016, 04:15:05 PM
hey, everybody can talk about everything they want here: Free Speech.

Only in the spreadcointalk forum are there a few more rules regarding subforums and where you should post.

But this here is a jungle, as I have often said, lol.

You can't police this place, and that's a good thing.

Also: All the off topic discussions we are having here still touch on the subject of decentralization (brexit, arm the people, etc..). So to me it makes sense to have them in a "decentralize everything" forum.
Maybe examples of successful decentralization in some other field can give us ideas about how we can solve a similar problem somewhere else.

Awesome to see so many people firing up their miners again.

It's really awesome. Just what we need. Please hang on just a few days, I got goood stuff in the making...  Cool

Just making things a lot clearer, for Georgem of course.

lol, you just made it bigger, not clearer.

Now I think I need to have my eyes checked.

So I still owe georgem .05 BTC.  It will be coming, my friend.  SP, I wish I could get my new miner versions.  I tried to email you from the new one.....

I owe you after that.

And what did I read? You buy your daughter the best GPU available? You must by the best parent in the world! Kudos. Smiley

I love that booties have returned to SPR. It's a blessing.  Cheesy

Weekend was pretty productive, just hang in there a little longer.  Cool

In all seriousness, bitcoin with SPR ServiceNodes pushing up the full node count is an exceptional model.

You can carve that in stone!

Did my PM reach you, or did I do it wrong?

Thanks to just2laff for a nice BTC donation that I just received.
I will put that to good use (next months server bill), it really helps.

georgem

EDIT: I'm now working overdrive on the new update, .... gasp... please stay tuned.

Did my PM reach you, or did I do it wrong?

Yes, I just answered your PMs, sorry for the delay.
I also received a few spammy PMs with "questionable" offers, lol, (as I do pretty much every other day)...
so I had to look twice to isolate your helpful PM's.

Not trying to change the subject back, but I must agree with this sentiment.  Please keep up the good work, georgem, and I'll always keep some machines on spr for "network security".  I've been following this from about day 15, and plan to keep doing so for some time.

Thank you, I really appreciate it.

Thanks everybody else too, who helps keep the lights on!

Anyway, back to coding... I'm burning the midnight oil like crazy these days....  Cry

I'm all for gun rights. In an ideal world we wouldn't need or want them, but it is a huge disadvantage not to carry. I don't want to have to rely on the SWAT team getting to my location and neutralizing an idiot (or idiots) with an assault rifle(s) or whatever weapon(s) they have while I find a place to hide. Much rather go out guns ablaze and if I go down, hopefully I'll take the bastard with me.

Those bastards are cowards and afraid, so just hearing that other people have guns will make them run for cover. You don't even have to be a good marksman to succesfully sabotage their plan.

In light of a lot of these events I think it's also highly important for the public to be vigilant in areas where large crowds are gathering, especially for political events. I think it's pretty safe to assume that attacks like these will continue to occur at large gatherings where mass damage can be inflicted and there is little to be done to prevent at least a few casualties.

Even in harmless situations I find large crowds to be very scary and intimidating. So I'm in alert mode all the time.
Just being at a large concert and having a few hundred people suddenly "collectively decide" (without warning) to move 10 meters in one direction is scary as fuck. Emergent behaviour of large masses is escalating quickly.
And that's just the harmless gathering of people who want to have fun and listen to music, lol.

Education and awareness are fairly good tools for the general public. I think some schools in America do active shooter drills now - just like they do for earthquakes and fires. It's pretty sad that it has come to that. I know I've taken a short course on what to do during an active shooter situation for a job I took. I often have it in the back of my mind that something could happen when I'm around large crowds of people.  Sad

Very good. But sadly your own government works against you by trying to take your right to bear arms away.
After all their first goal is to control population, not make you stronger/freeer.
315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SpreadCoin | Decentralize Everything (decentralized blockexplorer coming) on: July 15, 2016, 07:50:18 PM
Thirty minutes before the attack I received a Snapchat video of an acquaintance of mine who was celebrating "Bastille Day" in Nice with her friends. It scared the living sh#t out of me when I heard about the attack, luckily she's alright.

I'm glad to hear everything is alright.

But when will this end? Will it ever? This makes me so angry, but what can we do? Lips sealed

It's important that we don't let government take away more of our freedom just so we can feel "more secure".
Government always abuses such situations to further restrict our liberties.

Life is inherently risky, I think we can't get rid of evil people, but we can be vigilant and not stand there like sitting ducks, or like ostriches who stick the head in the sand...

People really need to be armed, because most of the time terrorists won't even try to attack victims who can defend themselves. They need victims who are helpless.

We need to make it hard for evil people, not easy.

Look at the last terror acts around the world, they mostly happened in gun free places where they knew people are unarmed and unprepared.
316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SpreadCoin | Decentralize Everything (decentralized blockexplorer coming) on: July 15, 2016, 12:40:31 AM
According to an eyewitness, the driver of the truck shouted, “Allahu Akbar!” before the attack

An Islamist terror attack in France EVERY OTHER MONTH for the last 18 months. Europe is turning into Israel.

I say arm the population. This is only going to get worse, people need to be able to defend themselves...

Sadly, france has very strict gun control.

Maybe next they will try and ban trucks? That'll teach the bad guys... /sarc

Warning - foul language ahead

Fucking hell going on right now in nice, france.

Following it live right now...

I just can't help myself asking... Did georgem ever keep to his promise to release an update on his progress or are we still guessing?  Huh

No idea. Georgem? Any news to share? Would be great to have a progress update. It has been quite a long haul since January when we received our last one! Grin

P.S. I will be taking some data science courses in the coming months, so I am hoping to be able to help out once SNs have some data to play with Cheesy

You are right, it's about time, I'll try and give an overview of all the "fields of work" that keep me occupied right now.
Will do that this week,...

Block 1000001 produced exactly 5.00000000 SPR.

Excellent, works like an atomic clock.
