Shameless  Cool Definitely brilliant!

Good one!  I might even be able to stomach the US version.  Eventually.  Still mourning the original.

the U.S. version, in my opinion, is much better.. but maybe that's because i'm american. tried watching the UK version but i didn't get it.
302  Economy / Goods / Re: WTB HTC One M8 in Glamour Red Colour Brand New / Sealed Shipped to the UK on: August 29, 2014, 02:24:11 AM
Bump. Still looking for this.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KNEE7S4/sr=8-1/qid=1409224626/ref=olp_product_details?ie=UTF8&me=&qid=1409224626&sr=8-1

This can be purchased for $600 (£360) on Amazon if somebody could help me out with buying one or sell me Amazon vouchers at a discount. I've got a mate who is going to the States in a few days so I might see if I can get him to get me one and bring it back which will hopefully bypass any customs charges. Does anyone know of a cheaper place than Amazon in America to get this?

https://uk.webuy.com/product.php?sku=SHTCM816GRO2A#.

If not I might just buy a used A-grade / Mint condition 16gb one from Cex for £375, though I'd rather have a brand new 32gb one, but at least I can use my credit notes and pay the difference in bitcoins as they accept them.

just checked newegg for you, and they don't seem to carry the m8. too bad though, since newegg is offering a $150 off $500 bitcoin discount in a few days, and if your buddy is going to a state that is not getting taxed.. then that's by far the best deal you could get.

looks like newegg does carry the m8, but it's not in stock.. too bad for you m8, you could have had it for $581 - $150 and no tax unless your friend is going to CA/NY

RIP, it's good to see someone stay positive when times get tough. i probably couldn't do it, unfortunately.
304  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: August 20, 2014, 07:17:32 PM
damn, going from PD's rate down to getting a max of .1 really sucks. oh well, gotta roll with what you've got.

damn...I got fired...need a job...lol

A lot of us are in the same boat.  Tongue
But its usual thing old campaigns going or closing and new campaigns coming just because of this its matter of no worries

it's not as lucrative though.. with the current offerings, you can earn a max of .15 coins per month.. previously with PD, you could earn almost 4 times as much.
305  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn Bitcoins Simply By Posting on: August 20, 2014, 07:13:50 PM
well, time to remove the sig. thanks for the memories, stunna.
306  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn Bitcoins Simply By Posting on: August 20, 2014, 07:28:39 AM
I dont understand stunna's edit part. What will he close again? So if I am already a participant beforehand will I get boot out of this sig camp?

Since there are around 100 senior members participating about half of them will be "fired" from the campaign the next two days. If you do not get a PM from me then you are good to go. Quality posters are safe.

Will have a list of the survivors in 2 days.

I quoted this since people are asking about the cuts and wanting an updated list.  Sounds like an updated list is in the works....

This is a pretty large scale reduction in the signature campaign.  I like the use of the term "survivors."  I imagine that referral earnings may offset it a bit but this has been an insanely generous program.

I've never hoped so much to NOT get a PM from Stunna! Smiley

80%+ were sent out about six hours ago, if you don't get one tomorrow you'll be good. Micro is helping me get an updated list together of all the current participants for tomorrow.

stunna, can i still participate? i'm currently sitting at 238, so 2 activity levels off.. damnit, i was 2 weeks away from making the cut. i hope you don't tell me this

307  Other / Politics & Society / Re: There is one glaring plot hole I thought about in the Ferguson "murder" case on: August 20, 2014, 07:20:06 AM
the thing that perplexes me is why the government is giving all these military-grade weapons to police officers.. is government working with weapons manufacturers just to make money? and isn't that basically welfare for those corporations?
308  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Consequences of high minimum wages: Automated ordering kiosks on: August 20, 2014, 06:43:08 AM
okay, so if you're against welfare (which i understand), and you're also against a minimum wage.. how do you expect poor people to survive? and how do you expect the economy to continue rolling if the the middle class is hamstrung?
309  Other / Politics & Society / Re: American journalist James Foley reportedly beheaded by ISIS on: August 20, 2014, 06:39:33 AM
Obama must be happy now because he funded and trained this barbarians.

wait, what? do you have a source on how he funded ISIS? or are we just blaming everything on him?

Everyone blames the US for almost all wars/conflicts..

I think its fucking retarded and its because they cant see the whole picture.

ISIS should be taken down.. I think arming the kurds is maybe not a good idea since it can hit back..
The kurds could start a new conflict with Turkey..

I think that the US should request more air crafts from other nations to help with the strategic bombing.

while it's not 100% americans, they have a big role in all of it though. but watoshi was claiming that obama trained them, and there doesn't seem to be evidence for that. i don't like obama either, but i don't blame him for shit that is actually not his fault.
310  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Newegg offers a PS4 for $319.99 with Bitcoin (exclusive payment only) on: August 20, 2014, 06:38:03 AM
btw, i see this post on slickdeals.net... and a lot of people still seem to be negative against bitcoin. they're calling it a ponzi scheme, even though newegg and other major retailers are accepting btc. there are still a lot of resistant people who remain firmly unconvinced.

313  Other / Meta / Re: Vod account hacked! :( on: August 20, 2014, 06:25:25 AM
so do we know vod2's real identity? i'd be willing to mark it red, if there's enough proof. trying to impersonate someone in the community here is kind of a big deal to me. good thing vod2 is terrible at devising a believable plot.

The plot is quite believable. There are quite a few people out there who would love to see the Vod account gone/abused. Like I said before, it was the execution that was poor.

I assume (hope) that Vod has his security set up properly.

the plot is that "oh nos, i lost my email, dropbox, facebook, and EVERYTHING."

this shit is hilarious.. it's obvious that vod2 is not really vod, yet he still persists on.. he's probably thinking "just maybe, maybe they'll really believe me."

this delusion reminds me of the black knight scene in monty python  Cheesy

Hi guys,

Vod (Martin Lawrence) here. I'm very sad to say this but my account here has been hacked. I'm not sure how it happened, but I'm locked out of my email accounts too and my hot wallet appears to have been deleted off my computer, I'll have to check my backups to see if the funds have moved. I suspect my computer has been infected with malware. I'm still looking into it though and it'll take some time to figure it out, but in the meantime:

DO NOT TRADE WITH MY ACCOUNT!

If my account seeks a loan, DO NOT FUND IT. IT IS NOT ME.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=30747

Can someone neg rep my account until I get everything sorted? I'll PM theymos the info he needs soon, but I need to figure out how this happened first.

For the record, this was the last post I made:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=740207.msg8425563#msg8425563

Thanks guys.  Cry I'll be back soon, don't worry.

I haven't gone anywhere.  Idiot.   Undecided

this sounds like that childish guy who kept swinging at you in the off-topic thread.. forgot his username. this sure sounds like something he'd do  Cheesy
318  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why we shouldnt worry if Amazon doesnt accept btc! on: August 20, 2014, 03:41:29 AM
Yes Amazon has very low margins, in fact I think usually it isn't even in the black, which is ridiculous for a company its size.  Frankly I don't know why they do it, you'd think they should exploit their dominant position a little more and make more profit.

how would they go about exploiting? the reason why they have grown to the size that they are is that they've kept prices competitive/low.
319  Other / Politics & Society / Re: There is one glaring plot hole I thought about in the Ferguson "murder" case on: August 20, 2014, 03:39:54 AM
i don't really have a stance on what happened or didn't, but i do think there's a lot of racial tension in the country.. and black people have been disenfranchised for quite some time.
320  Other / Off-topic / Re: Can You See the sun from outerspace on: August 20, 2014, 03:33:33 AM
so much kooky shit goes on this forum.. maybe one day my amazement will cease. i mean, look at this, or what dank posts, or actor tom truong and his 13 bloodlines, or his "free electricity magnets."

if there's a crazy idea, someone will believe it.
