The drones should take those people out. But not gonna happen, US like the chaos. This is horrible, barbaric is the word.

you act like it's so easy, that they'll only kill ISIS members with done strikes. i'm no expert, but this is a hot issue and if they kill a few civilians, the US will have a shitstorm to worry about. it'll give russia more fire and reason to blame the US, and israel would use it to justify its actions.

Well it's not difficult to avoid civilians if you attack their convoys of toyota trucks out in the middle of the desert.

yeah, like they're going to chill outside, waiting to be bombed.. when they know the U.S. is going after them.

most likely, they'll basically mix in with civilians to use them as shields. if they get killed, it's all good. they use it as a recruitment tool.
502  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC .com - SOLD - $1,000,000 on: August 05, 2014, 01:16:56 AM
3 letter domains ran out a long time ago if im correct, so whoever bought this probably did it a long time ago.. before bitcoin even existed. how crazy is that?

One right shot like this one will pay for the registrations for long time, and leave a good premium.

Not crazy, since there is few of them, so little cost.

No saying that sit on domain names is good, though

i generally don't find domain squatting that bad. it's just another game of speculation. what does that remind you of? for me, it's any kind of investing.. especially bitcoin.

if a big company comes along and wants your domain, $1 is just like a drop in the ocean anyways.

the thing that i don't like is patent trolling.

You can't really compare those two things. Patent trolling does have real world implications, Domainquatting is just a bit annoing, nobody is really hurt. Well, maybe in one case: When non-profit organizations have to pay to get the better domains.

you're basically saying the same thing as i am though.. i am okay with domain squatting, but i don't like patent trolling.

both sides of the coin are right.. look up chaos theory. if you observe random/entropic action, it will be random while at the same time you can still extrapolate some kind of order.

thinking back, i'd say i might use both bullets to shoot bieber. you know, on the off chance that 1 bullet isn't enough to take down the biebs.

really though, if you did kill the biebs, his legions of fans would pretty much fuck you up.. so no, i don't want to die.
508  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Anyone following the ebola outbreak? on: August 05, 2014, 12:12:03 AM
I am about as worried as with the bird flue and swine flue. Summer scare, it comes every year Smiley

i bet all the people who died from those scares felt the same as you do now. it's kind of like how 9/11 isn't that scary to you, until you're sitting in a building with flames/smoke fogging your vision and polluting your lungs.
509  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin Cold War has begun on: August 04, 2014, 11:52:09 PM
it's not just the wall streeters, it's the people with portfolios, retirement plans, IRAs, or whatever.. it would make some rich people richer, sure, but if the bitcoin ETF were opened up, a lot of regular folk would be investing it in as well.

511  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ARGENTINA COULD BE THE 1ST COUNTRY USING BITCOIN AS OFFICIAL CURRENCY on: August 04, 2014, 11:47:32 PM
it's too much of a gamble, even for a country like argentina.. besides, i doubt their population doesn't have the capacity to use it as the country's main currency.
512  Other / Politics & Society / Ebola outbreak linked to secret Monkey Meat trade on: August 04, 2014, 08:16:48 AM

you brits, man.

Quote
Ridley Road has been identified as a hub for the secret market in ‘bush meat’ — the flesh of exotic animals such as chimpanzee, monkey, porcupine, fruit bats and even giraffe, slaughtered in the African bush and smuggled into Britain.
It is estimated that a staggering 7,500 tonnes of illegal meat enters Britain each year, the bulk of which is bush meat.
The trade has hitherto been defended on cultural grounds, as little different to Britons eating rabbit or venison. But it is now at the centre of a terrifying health crisis.
513  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Dystopian reality: GameStop taking your fingerprints when trading used games on: August 04, 2014, 05:02:40 AM
i would just straight up refuse.. if we don't accept it, it'll be less profitable to do, so then they'd have to revert back. but i don't know, it seems like people care less about privacy during a time when they should be doing the opposite.
514  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The first country to fully adopt bitcoin will be.... on: August 04, 2014, 04:06:09 AM
If any country will ever fully adopt bitcoin it will probably be a very small country. I think a country would probably rather experiment with their own form of digital currency than bitcoin, but I'm not sure if bitcoin would be a safe experiment to use with current volataility.

i think it's already happening. iceland has their own cryptocurrency: auroracoin. http://motherboard.vice.com/blog/in-one-month-everyone-in-iceland-will-own-cryptocurrency
515  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Dystopian reality: GameStop taking your fingerprints when trading used games on: August 03, 2014, 11:36:04 PM
i don't know how their PR department could ever think that this would be a good way of getting people to like your store/brand. might as well have me give them a urine sample.
516  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Petco does not accept Bitcoin on: August 03, 2014, 11:33:40 PM
i don't know how you can put this on a regular retail employee. it's not his decision, it's upper managements'.
517  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is pgp really that safe? on: August 03, 2014, 09:49:31 PM
^ i don't even understand why he even had his keys laying around. if it were me, i'd be paranoid and i would only check my public key. i'd probably create a paper wallet and memorize the string of words, so that there's no way they could take my coins if caught. if you have access to $50 million dollars in your head, it might give you more of a bargaining chip.. unless they try to torture the money out of you.

i'd say having 2 wallets is a good idea. if u get tortured, give them access to 1 wallet and hope for the best.
518  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is going nowhere but down, $570 soon! on: August 03, 2014, 09:47:25 PM
This guy's "troll" predictions sure are a lot closer than anyone else's predictions I've seen. He said 550 and we went to 555. Not saying his absent reasoning and attempt to spread doubt is acceptable, but people's reactions here are amusing.

so what if his guesses (which he calls predictions) do happen to occasionally come true? it's still a guess, and there's no reasoning behind it. that's the point.. the guy is just saying what he feels.
519  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is going nowhere but down, $570 soon! on: August 03, 2014, 09:34:46 PM
i kinda dislike how with anonymity of the internet, people can go out and make as many baseless, uneducated "predictions" as they want. when their shit fails, they'll stay quiet but when it does indeed follow through, they go around parading like they have some prescient powers.
520  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How would you store >100 Bitcoins? on: August 03, 2014, 09:29:51 PM
can't you just do a paper wallet with phrases that you create yourself? i'd do that, and split the coins into 25 BTC chunks.
