NEM is only 3 months launched and capitalization continues to drop.  Sorry little Nemzilla, we're going to have to put you up for adoption.   Cry   Cry   Cry

Then how did you know about NEM's the call for participation back in february 2014? After all, it was not in the press ^^
About NEM I learned from the miners from whom I bought DOGE. Inside  Cool
Then I enrolled in the BTT and sent payment. But after that I was not up to the cryptocurrency - there were more important things.

303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: High-risk, high-reward: Dogecoin and Bitcoin on: June 22, 2015, 01:07:03 PM
The doge is #2.. forget this silly Market cap bs.

I think it is an important discussion to have.

I think so as well.  Most people that have heard of bitcoin have heard of dogecoin and not litecoin.

Doge's minimum payout allows for very small sending fees thus making it more of a spending currency IMO while bitcoin is like gold a holding currency.

Right it has had way more publicity and exposure to the real world than the next 300 alternates put together and yet where is Doge today?  I feel like if any other alternate had Doge's reach than they would be #2 and probably $500+ million capitalization (and not from premine fake capitalization).

you guys are really unbelievable...
a good reason to refuse

NEM is very bureaucratic.  Communist coin.  Makoto is like rubber stamper at Odessa train station who demands 4 pieces of ID and rubber stamps 15 different forms before you are allowed to proceed on the train.  Just following orders.   Shocked  There is no compassion in the new economy, no heart in the NEMolution.   Cry

Silk, this project is dead and its YOUR fault.

You refuse to accept help from anyone and don't give us any updates.

I even offered to redo the site for you, but you're too lazy to even respond.

I'm done.

There was a time when they did care.  If you go way back, they were trying to advertise NODE on Russian tech websites but the reactions were like: "is this a scam or something?  lol" (which every cryptocurrency face - even BTC runs into hostility)

There's also a lot of coins who work hard to promote and yet can't escape the 6 or 7 figure capitalization.  Meh.  If the NODE developers just want to continue developing and give zero phucks about the capitalization and it continues falling then that's simply what happens.  Remember this is the same cryptocurrency market where that dog shit Doge is worth more than Bitshares, NXT and other projects.

Like the Japanese Emperor where his silence implies consent, silence is Patmast3r's omission for destroying NEM.   Shocked

It seems this thread is fallen asleep because the number of discussion posts decline progressively  Undecided

Any news Huh..

Why is that happening?

the worst management ever......!!!!!!!

Patmast3r is the organizer isn't he?  He destroyed NODE and Crypti, NEM is his next target.  Patmast3r is from Australia so that should indicate something.  He gets my vote of no confidence.   Shocked

311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Vitalik Buterin's days are numbered, there's now a younger kid progidy "genius" on: June 20, 2015, 10:49:30 PM

Goldman Sachs you got to drop mascot Vitalik Buterin like a hot potato (beside she's getting older and instead of cute teenage  boy look, looks like aged pervert now  Shocked).

Whit Jack is the next Vitalik Buterin.  Mark my words - Coindesk and Cointelegraph will soon be pumping out weekly articles about Jack and he will be running multi-million dollar $IPOs.   Shocked  At least until another younger prodigy genius emerges..
312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: International Socialist Crypto Union on: June 20, 2015, 02:50:23 AM
Who would the right backers be? Uncle Joe and Karl Marx? Ivan Sirko?

Karl Marx isn't really referenced anymore, not even in North Korea, and Stalin does not exist outside of a history classroom.

The biggest movements are social democratic parties and worker unions.  As well the current phenomenon is third way socialism and I would say that is currently the plurality view among socialists (reconciliation, equality of opportunity and social justice).

313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: International Socialist Crypto Union on: June 20, 2015, 02:31:44 AM
Jackson Palmer, although his recent "episode" means most no longer like him, made a good point before about the prevailing Libertarian culture in Bitcoin.  We have estimates from the Federal Reserve that there are only 100,000 people using Bitcoin and then we have something like 300,000 registered libertarians in the United States.  It seems to me that, with the exception of some Chinese, Bitcoin has largely already milked the demographic of tech savvy libertarians.   A culture of doom porn ("world economy is going to collapse!  Ahhhhh") doesn't do much to address the user adoption crisis.

We definitely need less doom porn and more "Bitcoin with a human face" Bitcoin s lidskou tváří

There is such a thing as a corporate culture, so why can't there be a "cryptocurrency culture"?  To me there are too many Ron Paul type libertarians within Bitcoin and they can't be dislodged and they're holding it back as well.

314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is dev's identity absolutely needed to be known ? on: June 20, 2015, 02:24:59 AM
Hello

What is your opinion on this subject ?
Do you think that every dev should provide all of his personal infos, such as driving license, payment bills, etc. ?

Because if you look at bitcoin case, we don't know who is Satoshi Nakamoto... Also a lot of other serious coins which are in the top 10 of the biggest capitalizations have been developed by anonymous dev's...

Bitcoin is crumbling right now because of Satoshi's madness. I think developer identity is paramount.

If Satoshi had zero Bitcoins then would people really care?  BTC has been open sources for ages, hashes match and anyone been able to comb through it and find out whether it had backdoors or not.

I think the problem here is Satoshi is alleged to have mined up to a million bitcoins.   Use whatever word you want from skepticism, to envy or jealously but the man on the street isn't going to buy something where 5%-10% of the total supply rests in the hands of some totally anonymous dude.  Actually that very same reason is why most alternates are screwed in the long run too.

315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your Top 5 Cryptocurrencies? (2015 version) on: June 19, 2015, 10:20:54 PM
Fore those who list DOGE as a top 5, I would love to hear the reasoning behind it?

community, projects, tipping, brand, funding, market cap. active development, social reach..

Asking for a rationale answer when only irrationality is the excuse for owning a $hitcoin with a fat yellow dog on it.   Shocked
316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I think I found Satoshi's latest message --- Sent a message on 2-2-2014 on: June 19, 2015, 09:53:09 PM
satoshi have hundreds and hundreds of million dollars in bitcoins and he's never touch, why would he want to bother with a scam coin? this is just a pure pump for a scam coin, what's go up must come down.

Hmmm....maybe because NXT is one of the few crypto-currencies that still embody Satoshis vision of financial empowerment for everyone, using an open, transparent and de-centralised system?

Check out the Nxt wiki for some more insight into NXT:

http://wiki.nxtcrypto.org/wiki/Nxt_Wiki

and the vision of BCNext (the original Nxt dev):

http://wiki.nxtcrypto.org/wiki/BCNext%27s_Plan

At this stage of the game, after almost 2 years and a massive amount of development, calling NXT a scam is pretty much the same as calling BTC a scam.
It simply makes no sense, and is incredibly short-sighted.

(and, no, I don't believe the message on Nxt came from SN, I think it was a test from one of the mobile payment platforms)

nxt is just another scam
How is NXT a scam, Mr.Scambuster? I haven't read anything wrong about NXT other than it isn't Bitcoin. Just looking for a bit of information.

Jeff Garzik (bitcoin developer) and other professionals in the industry looked at the code and determined it was a scam.  Also the NXT "ecosystem" largely consists of uncompleted ponzi schemes started by an anonymous person.

Evil Dave just spams Bitcointalk because he has 50 million NXT reasons to do anything to increase the price.  He missed his chance to cash out millions like his friends did.  NXT has destroyed many lives in crypto.  A small handful made millions but everybody else lost.

How can the code say it's a scam? It's open source right? Anyone want to link the part of the code that steals money?

Hashes do not match, the "open source" NXT that is available to download is not the same as the NXT that everybody downloads on their desktop, which contains probable backdoors (which explains much of the thefts which occurred within NXT since launch).

Jeff Garzik covered this ages ago

https://twitter.com/jgarzik/status/511928969000943616

NXTers deny / refuse it but that's the power of running an internet cult.  Jeff Garzik has nothing personal against NXT.  He's a developer for BTC, possibly even the lead developer if Gavin steps down, and he's doing all sorts of ventures to build cryptocurrency as a whole.

Can someone aware us on this Gaia and why so many, out of the woodwork, are recommending it?    According to CMC, it has a mere capitalization of $10,462 and a volume of $10.   Huh  What good is it to put your money into something if you can't take it out?   Shocked

319  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Greek Debt Committee Declared All Debt To The Troika "Illegal, Illegitimate,..." on: June 19, 2015, 05:16:23 AM
Defaulting on loans and refusing to pay back the principle is a long tradition.

The League of Nations and the UN both ruled a long time ago that regime change is NOT debt relief and yet Communist China and the Russian Federation have yet to pay for all the debt the Tsar, Nationalist China and the Soviets still own (a lot of estimates suggest, if you account for inflation and interest, that debt is actually larger than the US's debt today).

You do know it started at $5 right?  Who cares if the reason was NXT got devalued, nobody off Bitcointalk has even heard of it anyway.  People price in $Fiat for a reason.
