Not another NXT thread. Please stop shilling worthless coins!!!!

Moderators please start doing your job and clean this forum of inappropriate content.

Yeah too much spamming about NxT.  Went down from $90 million and never going back up, but they keep pushing it on noobs.

Russians are so badass.

How many Russians You know personally? And from what ethnic group?

I would say unoriginal.  Looks like Russians are just stealing stereotypes that were pioneered by Alaskans, Canadians, Finns and Swedes.

By the way, Alaska is a former Russian territory. Finland used to be a part of Russia for more than 100 years. Canada has many descendants of people who moved from Russia in the end of 19 century.

Early Medieval Ruthenian culture did not exist until the Rurikans (Swedes) came in.  Russia took its' culture from Sweden

Jeff Garzik, reputable Bitcoin developer, said NxT is a scam

Another Russian scam is they let you marry their sister but as soon as she turns age 35 she morphs into a Babushka.  Slavic years is a lot like dog years, they just age quicker.
1068  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Is Not Rebounding,why? on: October 27, 2014, 01:30:15 PM
Bitcoin is 500K-2M real users.  It'll be speculation until mainstreet comes in.  If they come in, it's all over the media for year(s) and yet nobody is feeling compelled to use it.

Nobody was blind sided by the recession.  Boom and busts has been a characteristic of capitalism (mercantilism) since the 1640s.

Nice work guys!!!

i bougt few thousand coins now on bittrex.

My math not really good but.. Even if people will buy 5M of coins..And rest will be destroyed, so price will be much higher, dont understand why is there so small buy support.. Maybe you need more morketing and spamming to the world?

Most coins right now are falling below ICO prices, even good generation 2.0 coins with new code and innovations.   It's harder to convince somebody to go into what is clearly a BTC fork with a PoS high interest.    This isn't really much different than Zeit Coin from a year ago that had 25% interest and then pretty much died.

Maybe some people are buying this coin because it's started by a Czech guy but there's already two Eastern European coins called Crypti and NODE which are new code and are promising more things than this Equinox.

Ran this several times through virus scanners and the link is currently clean (might become dirty later).  Opened it up and it's actually a $hitcoin of BTC.

1073  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Alt coin to invest in 2014 on: October 26, 2014, 08:55:44 PM
I suggest to pick some older coin with active development.
Call me a dinosaur but I like those:

Namecoin (openbazaar coin)
Feathercoin (new cutting edge algorithm)
Gridcoin (new POR algorithm, utilize BOINC+POS)
Fluttercoin (POT + succesfull community takeover)
Myriadcoin (well its cheap and they are trying)

What I suggest to avoid is any coin trying to suck your money from the start with any kind of scam IPO shares selling or other garbage.

Might be good to pick also some annon wanna be coin, but be carefull, there is plenty of more or less not so anonymous candidates.

I do not like LTC/DOGE coin much.

Looks more like a bagholder who wants to let go on some newbies.   Wink
1074  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [AИN] NODE - 2n Gen. CryptoCurrency build from SCRATCH on NODE.JS - NEW CODE! on: October 26, 2014, 08:54:41 PM
Then who's NODEpay is it?  Why would some random person create a NODEpay on VK?  Clearly it was created by the developers, who else?  Somebody is also paying for these 18 year old girls to like it.

1075  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [AИN] NODE - 2n Gen. CryptoCurrency build from SCRATCH on NODE.JS - NEW CODE! on: October 26, 2014, 08:00:17 PM
I wasn't involved in the vote about the distribution but the Ebrelus thing is something I don't care about.

I'm worried about

A) Lack of promotion (paying 18 year old Ukrainian girls 25 cents to like the NODE page on VK doesn't count - they probably have no idea what NODE is and certainty aren't buying any.  And a lot of these profiles are clearly just bots as they have like almost no real activity on them)

B) PoA which probably won't be out for months or if it is released then it's premature with problems (like Crypti).

C) Other core features might still be a year from implementing.

If the allegations are true then NODE is something ran by two highschool / junior college aged Ukrainian brothers, probably boy geniuses to an extent but the execution is bad, the coin is likely going to die before it's functional enough for new users.

1076  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Qora price speculation now we know its brand new code. on: October 23, 2014, 11:52:11 AM
I don't think it makes a difference until a more reputable person does a code review.  Even if a reputable person does it, is it guaranteed to go up?

I mean Qora has been on the exchanges for months.  Most people have forgotten about it and probably will just walk away if they looked at its' old capitalization compared to its' current one.  I don't think avoiding the issue for half a year and then going: "surprise we have independent code" is going to make any change now.  Coins either make or break after 3 months from launch.

1077  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will NXT or NEM be the most successful? on: October 23, 2014, 11:35:43 AM
Not really, just count the respondents on that thread and the majority don't think I am UF.     The IP information doesn't confirm it and nobody would host a VPN out in the rurals on a smartphone data plan.  There's been people who think I am "insert name" too.

The text analysis stuff is something that can probably be gamed and it has been many times - look at the people who "analyzed Satoshi" and think he's 30 different people.

It's not that hard to trick people, but you can't trick math. If that text analysis was gamed then show which part of it was incorrect.

This is a burden of proof and I'm not interested in addressing a fallacy as I am not him.  This is just like the people who think Satoshi is Hal Finney, Nick S and all these other people based on some text analysis they ran.

1078  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gems vs Nxtyy on: October 23, 2014, 10:54:27 AM
ie What we see everyday here when another coin is released. The only thing going mainstream is the death of Crypto in the minds of the mainstream. Maybe Bitcoin makes it, but it wont help when the masses see there are others.

This would be based on the assumption that we have test cases when we do not.  Andreas has attended hearings about Bitcoin and the older men questioning him often had no clue there were other alternates, not even LTC has come up to them.

To be fair people try to make Bitcoin as this huge thing when it isn't.. it's a very nerd niche for a lack of better words.  Only these 500K-2M users and something occasionally mentioned in financial newspapers / television shows but very few people have felt compelled to try it.
1079  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will NXT or NEM be the most successful? on: October 23, 2014, 10:41:22 AM
As well I'm not UF.

People suspected your were UF. https://nxtforum.org/pub-crawl/10'000-nxt-for-speech-analysis/ just proved that mathematically.

Now, back to the topic.

Not really, just count the respondents on that thread and the majority don't think I am UF.     The IP information doesn't confirm it and nobody would host a VPN out in the rurals on a smartphone data plan.  There's been people who think I am "insert name" too.

1080  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will NXT or NEM be the most successful? on: October 23, 2014, 10:27:31 AM
I saw that link  on the NXT forum and it looked convincing at the time.

Now for the post on here.

https://nextcoin.org/index.php/topic,1268.150.html
No lie there.  I choose an older link as it should demonstrate to you that the water was simmering before it went to a boil.  NXT capitalization went down from a variety of things but a lot of it had to do with the initial distribution and the almost absent returns on staking.

As well I'm not UF.  Don't live in the same country as him.  He used to post all the time on the NXT forums.  Everyone knows I live out in the rurals and nobody would host a VPN on a mobile data carrier plan.  Text analysis is crap and people ran the same analysis and thought I was CfA, BlueMeanie and other people.  People ran text analysis on Satoshi and think he's 30 different people including obscure academics from other continents.

As well why would it matter if I was UF?  UF isn't getting a refund for that $300K he gave them, nor his organizer compensation and he was subjected to the same taint analysis as everybody else.  Only reason people thought I was UF as I was the only one defending him.   Which is only 50% true, I was actually just rallying to the flag (back then I didn't really know much about the NEM developers.  Most of the attention back then was UF and when UF was on the way out, it was a lot of confusion).

Now in retrospect I think it's good that UF left as he was always pushing to release NEM early and probably would have had his way.  Makoto1337 is more patient than UF.  NEM community today feels very decentralized and vibrant as it is no longer just one domineering personality dominating everything.
