Can we receive some beta NEM?

So is Xtester going to post something or was this a tease?

Guys you can't really be screwing around with this. For many months people wanted to buy Qora but without proof of independent code, we're not coming in.
Even then it might already be too late - it's rare for coins with $hitcoin capitalization to be revived / resurrected. Especially when I am reading on here that there's apparently large bagholding whales waiting to dump if there is price rebounds. Nobody ever buys a coin with the intention of losing money, it's human nature.

The supporters of both coins thinks it will be a whatsapp but this is a fallacy as the mobile market is saturated with competitors.
I think that is what greed can do - it blinds you. At best these phone apps are actually aimed at the 500K-2M Bitcoin user demographic. That is what you should be basing your decision on - which app has a better chance of penetrating that market and you have to realize the potential market cap here isn't billions but actually only millions.
Arguably it might even be too premature to even bring in a mobile app at this stage as it's a small crowd you are in essence targeting. How many of us actually talk to each other and have a need to do this through Nxtty / Gems when Whatsapp and Skype is available?
Yes app-to-app calling is coming to Whatsapp and to other mobiles phone apps, so Nxtty is technically borrowing concepts from larger more established competitors.
This is a classic case called: not knowing your market.
A better question is can you afford to miss the boat if it does take off? Just buy both but don't go crazy about it.

VK page is suppose to be for promotion then why they were hiding? i dont get it Paid likes isn't promotion, especially when there's too few of them and none of them probably has a clue what NODE coin is about. A lot of them just clicked to get a quarter or whatever the going rate is on VK per clicked like. Considering the cheap cost of labour in Ukraine - they can definitely afford to do better things than this. A lot of women like taking photos of themselves or other things in Ukraine and can be really creative. There's many people in Ukraine who'll promote NODE in return for NODE (and tell them it could be worth 10x to 20,000x more someday if everybody works together to promote it). Look at Vitalik - he was technically writing Bitcoin articles back in 2011 (if I recall) for under a dollar equivalent in Bitcoin and I think he probably rationalized that (we'll never know) on an assumption that Bitcoin was going to be worth more in the future.

TaunSew all these "they should spent money on parties" are only your assumptions. No facts or proofs. So stop this fud.
So what you find out they personsl info? Those community in vk.com was made to promote node. And it is working (as long as you found it). Yoh saying it like they were hidding and you tracked them down
Sure they were hiding. For a long time I asked if they were on VK, never received an answer, and it turns out they were on since September and I found out on my own doing regular VK browsing. As for this growing contact list - many of these people have a lot of random liked pages. Isn't this just paid advertisement? Why would all these random people (some look to be over 40 years old) even come across NODE and click "liked page"? I think I even saw a 6 year old as one of the likes, kind of random.. VK page is suppose to be for promotion then why they were hiding? i dont get it Maybe lying about the amount of developers? It's only two developers and they are brothers according to one page. It's just two guys coding at a snail's pace. No code review or anything yet so we don't even know the quality of code here. Really it's hard to be optimistic about Node when the price keeps on falling, PoA is taking forever, et al. Pace is going to move very slowly with just two developers, they need to hire more developers.

Exactly.
I'm man enough to take things back... be man enough to STOP all this now I have free time HORSESHIT too.
Btw, WHAT should I stop? Yeah stop trying to prove Qora is innocent and not a $hitcoin.. wait.. what... CfB boss man looks like our suspicions are correct, Qora is a $hitcoin and not even a good one at that. 5 months these Qora people are delaying over the code... 5 months... they could had even compiled fake code with all that time, good enough to fool old man Garzik into thinking the hashes match.
|
|
|
Don't like getting CALLED OUT there... do you now? Do you like tango? Let's create a separate thread. Your turn. I don't think the source code should send to you review. The reason is obviously, you are from a community who hostile to qora. Really this discussion has been going back what 6 months? If you want the critics to be powerless then prove you have independent code
|
|
|
Nothing to hide nothing to lose. Qora is a dying $hitcoin and CfB gave you a good offer to help redeem Qora. I assume that was an offer to do it for FREE - you do realize people otherwise charge money for this service?
|
|
|
Why is it when I look for images and videos of Qora on Google, it redirects me to Doge? Even the search engine knows it's a $hitcoin. Google artificial intelligence is smart enough to advise people to go for a better coin. I've been waiting for independent code before I even consider buying something like Qora.

All I hear on here is how awesome Qora is and how it's the best crypto and now will be first coin to get Turing complete which is a major advance in crypto etc blah blah blah..
Really? That's funny, I never hear anybody say any of that stuff about Qora. I would go with "just hype" if I was you. Coins are meaningless if you can't get people to use them. We're already having a hard enough time getting people to use BTC. Bitcoin is only 500K-2M users. Not sure how we get more people to use Bitcoin as clearly something is not clicking with mainstreet. Bitcoin has been in the financial section of many newspapers and I see it on television a bit and yet the userbase expansion just isn't happening. It's so far off to even compare BTC at the moment to something like Yahoo (which had more users in 1995) or Myspace which had 100 million accounts by 2006 (3 years after its' inception). Until I see code I think Qora is a reskinned NXT (aka Qora is a $hitcoin and has a $hitcoin capitalization as a result). Qora also just doesn't have the community. Look at Doge - almost no innovation and yet its worth more than most coins due to the community.

Sounds like a good idea! But how is it to "lose" 200 stakes? Is it worth it? That was the best compromise I can think of. We can ignore the superstition but I think there was a plurality opinion between the polls that is not an advisable route as it could backfire. I wouldn't want a coin if it had a supply of 666 and I imagine many East Asians may not want a coin with a supply of 4. We may laugh at these things but it could be a deal breaker. It was already discussed, back when the issue of unclaimed stakes first arose, about burning X amount. So burning 200 is a simple thing.. Is it worth it? We know Gliss and I think to Gliss whether you put 700 into an investment fund or 500 into an investment fund, he would count neither in the available supply on coinmarketcap. Does gliss discount the NXT in the community fund? If the money is put into an investment fund, it is to be actively used, so I see no reason why it would not be in the marketcap. I think if it were to end up somewhere then it would be on the asset page, not on the standard default page which is available supply.

These two polls are more polling-sampling than an actual vote. If we wanted an official vote then it would had been like the logo vote, sending a private message and it being recorded on a public list. Probably a single transferable vote like the Australian and Irish elections, due to the amount of options there can be.
I think it's too late to attempt something like this, given Beta is days off. As well the poll only indicates marginal majority support for 8 billion. I don't know if this has to be put to an official vote. It seems like a lot of work for what could be a trivial detail. So if it means we can avoid a long troublesome vote then I withdraw my support for 8 billion or any drastic scaling.
The best solution here is probably what we discussed prior to this superstition stuff and one that can't be rounded up to 4 billion.
We do know there is going to be 700-800 unclaimed stakes at this rate. If we are concerned about people rounding up then the solution is simple: 3.8 billion coins. Nobody rounds 3.8 up to 4. They will round up 3.9 or 3.99, but not 3.8.
3.8. also makes the superstitious people happy as 3 is an important number in both the west (Holy Trinity) and Asia (in Asia it means alive or birth) and 8 is a very important number in China. so the 3 + 8 together could mean "the beginning of a prosperous new economy movement".
So it seems simple that you could burn 200 stakes, which would make every NEMholder wealthier through deflation, and the remaining unclaimed stakes (as per the newsletter #6) can be put in that investment fund if that is what ends up happening.

NODE being delisted from BTER due to poor price and volume? Deaded?

I closed the first poll as a three way poll isn't that accurate, especially when the first two options were similar enough. The 100 billion option could be polled on but is anyone actually enthusiastic about it? As well wasn't the point behind this other people's superstition? The number 8 is an important number in East Asia. I'm not sure if the number 10 is considered good anywhere. I think two options are good enough, but what if someone doesn't want a change? Well the first option is effectively the same as no change, isn't it? Whether you like or it not - anybody can change the total supply by sending as little as 1 NEM back to the genesis account. This isn't something unique to NEM but something you can do to any coin, it's called burning.

Gundam NEM So why did Mona coin died? I remember seeing an article about some guy buying land with his Mona coin, so I guess it was dumped to death by instaminers? Yeah this seems to be a reoccurring trend in cryptos, a lot of these instaminers (are they possibly connected with each other?) who are just dumping every coin they can into an early grave. Best part about NEM? Can't be instamined and no whales waiting to dump. Good stability and price will keep going up & up.
