301  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Fork and CoinsPh on: December 09, 2017, 04:43:24 AM
Just make sure you're able to access your private keys. Also, if you're going to sell your forked coins but not move your bitcoin, that's a horrible idea. Just don't so it. Something could go very wrong such as if you imported your private key into a forked Colin's wallet and your coins where stolen.
302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN to ONE BILLION US Dollars? Here's How it Could Happen on: December 08, 2017, 04:34:58 AM
Lol if you're going to quote me at least put it in a quote. I doubt this would affect anything as much as you think but I'd be happy if I weren't wrong.
303  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Potential Korean War and bitcoin super bull on: December 08, 2017, 04:12:05 AM
Why would war make bitcoins more expensive? I don't get the logic. Would people be panicking to get out of fiat or for some reason you think they'll want bitcoin for some other reason?
304  Other / Off-topic / Re: What’s HODL? on: December 08, 2017, 03:53:03 AM
Lol a nice quick google would answer that but anyhow...

Have a look. It's pretty awesome. This is a part of our heritage haha.
305  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lost my bitcoin on: December 08, 2017, 03:49:44 AM
Omg of course never email yourself wallet details. The only way that would make sense is if it was encrypted, which most people wouldn't have a clue how to do properly. Blockchain.info is notorious for terrible security too. I'm so sorry for your loss. This is awful.
306  Economy / Speculation / Re: Nasdaq Plans to Launch Bitcoin Futures in First Half 2018 on: December 03, 2017, 04:55:07 AM
I don't see the value in this. That's probably because archaic markets like this baffle me. So you out in fiat to bet on the future price of bitcoin and somehow that's more legitimate than a bitcoin ETF? The ancient financial market is a freaking joke lol. Whatever. Hopefully we just continue on this bullish trend.
307  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN: Threat to our Current Currency on: December 03, 2017, 04:44:30 AM
Bitcoin will not be a threat to the one trust currency bitcoin because bitcoin can't beat out bitcoin because it is bitcoin. Fiat is infinite supply, decided by a handful of people. Bitcoin is the opposite. Anyone with fiat should dump that shit and get some real money before it's too late and they say that "bitcoin is so expensive". Nah, they supply is just low and monkeys are used to their 2 decimal points. Oh well. They'll be very sorry.
308  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin without mining on: December 03, 2017, 04:42:25 AM
Oh my God. Try this cool tool called google. It was invented recently just for you. Did you that Bitcoin is a currency! Yes, currency, like money. How do you earn money? Do that , but ask for bitcoin. Boom. You just got yourself some bitcoin. Magic.
309  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are Bitcoin Core devs doing ? on: December 03, 2017, 04:31:45 AM
It looks like Bitcoin won against Bitcoin Cash (for now)... what are the Bitcoin Core devs doing to improve bitcoin without a fork ?

We had segwit1x, but what next ...... something needs to be done as the transaction fee to more 0.1 BTC is at $50 for me, its ridiculous.

0.1BTC is $50? Nice. I'll buy all of your bitcoin off of you right now. No questions asked. Idgaf what kind of taint is associate deity these bad boys.

Well how many devs are there, like dozens or a hundred and something? They're all doing whatever they want cuz it's open source lol.
310  Economy / Economics / Re: popularity of bitcoin dictates demand, means more profit on: December 03, 2017, 04:29:05 AM
in my opinion, this is what happening right now as the trend of bitcoin price has been sky rocketing.  what do you think affects the price increase of bitcoin today?

Mostly speculation. People are buying bitcoins and expecting to make money when they sell at a higher price.

And you have based this off of ?? What? Random guess? Lots of newbies around? The price being 10x in a year? Why would you say that without any facts to back it up? I'm in bitcoin whether the price in fiat goes up or not because I believe in it as a currency. You can't generate more bitcoin out of thin air like you can with garbage government created bullshit fiat.
311  Economy / Services / Re: Crypto Wallet Recovery Services on: December 03, 2017, 04:20:05 AM
And who are you exactly...? Do you doxx yourself before we give you all the information you'd need to try and brute force a wallet?

Why would we trust you? What are your fees? What is your experience with helping people with recovering lost funds.

You say you can recover any lost funds. Could you elaborate? That makes no sense. I forgot my private key to the genesis block. Please recover those funds for me.
312  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is still not big at all, and thus not expensive (IMO) here is why: on: December 03, 2017, 04:17:14 AM
I think it's funny how over the years I've told the same people that you can buy very small portions of bitcoins but they still ask me. Especially now that they hit 10k. I guess the mainstream news was all over that. People love when things hit arbitrary numbers. Woop dee doo lol. Durp.

I just hate seeing these fools coming in looking for "cheap coins for under $1" . Buy a small amount if bitcoin. Or earn it. Don't just buy some infinite supply shitcoin.
313  Economy / Speculation / Re: FANTASTIC !!! --- 3 years ago Tim Draper predicted $10K per Bitcoin by 2018 ! on: December 03, 2017, 04:14:02 AM
Lol good thing his son convinced him to buy those. Now if only he had the liquidity to ever get rid of them. Oh well, I'm glad he's sticking by the bitcoins and not going back to dirty shitty fiat. It's hard to go back to a currency that loses 3% year over year when you can have a currency that earns 1000%. Some day when we level out we'll still be going up in value from dust being left in wallets and bitcoin that get lost of course.
314  Economy / Speculation / Re: Even at 10kUSD, Bitcoin is undervalued by more than 67,000% on: December 03, 2017, 04:11:29 AM
It's hard to say how niche or how widely adopted bitcoin will be one day though. If only 1% of the population owned some bitcoins we'd see a massive price increase. We're not even remotely close to that though. I guess we'll never know how many people actually use bitcoin.
315  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the wallet developers keep a copy of private key? on: December 03, 2017, 04:09:06 AM
Web wallets will, so don't use them.

not all of them are alike.

there are two types of web wallets:
1. those like Coinbase that have full control over the private keys and your bitcoins. so you just create an account and your account has a balance but you don't control it without their help.
2. those like blockchain.info that only have an encrypted wallet file. they do NOT have access to your private keys and that is the biggest difference that also increases their security. (they are still very weak compared to a cold storage)

Alright let me rephrase. Web wallets are the scum of the earth and they should all be killed off. When (not if) your funds are hacked from them you'll be sorry that you ever trusted an unlicensed, unregulated, uninsured "bitcoin bank" touch your money that you are free to store on your own without any intermediary.

Oh but some of them apparently don't hold your private keys. If you can believe that. Which I don't. Could I see their open source code?
316  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Volatility of Bitcoin on: December 03, 2017, 04:06:17 AM
You can have it converted to fiat instantly, but it's a crappy idea if you actually believe in bitcoin. Look at that 5 year, 1 year chart. You want to sell that for fiat? Why? Look at the 100 year chart on buying power of your fiat. Shitty right? Stick with real money, not that bullshit your government will always just make more of.
317  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it smart to max out all credit cards months to buy BTC? on: December 03, 2017, 04:04:17 AM
Obviously that's stupid. The whole point of bitcoin is to get out of that stupid old timey way of using money by having debt that you owe someone. It's not needed and it's a fabrication from banks and mostly actually central banks. Just buy what you can afford. Better yet, earn it. It's money.
318  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the wallet developers keep a copy of private key? on: December 03, 2017, 04:02:29 AM
Web wallets will, so don't use them. Most wallets that you download onto your computer or phone will store the private key but there would be no way for the devs to know your private key. Make sure you always have a backup.
319  Economy / Digital goods / Re: 2500+ Email database of Crypto users available on: December 01, 2017, 04:04:07 AM
Ah so you're from one of the asshole-run scam ICOs that sold my info. It's easy to spot a scam when you make a new email for each ICO. I hope someone finds you loser. Get a job.
320  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency arbitrage? How to make it? on: December 01, 2017, 03:59:41 AM
Lol don't try arbitrage with 0.01BTC. The fees to transfer them will be infinitely larger than your profits. If you have a big amount it's worth it, but nothing under 100k is going to make you anything worthwhile.
