1261  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Been away from Bitcoin and cryptos since 2015... What have I missed? on: March 03, 2017, 07:47:47 PM
A few people claimed to be satoshi, master-P (an escrow on this forum) scammed like 20BTC, and segwit didn't take off. Other than that uhmmm... normal forum drama LOL!
1262  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will happen when 1 satoshi is $ 1? on: March 03, 2017, 05:23:29 PM
If 1 satoshi is equal to 1 dollar, I wonder how will we pay the fee's in cents? It's good to claim faucets, and all other waist of time jobs cause with this prediction everyone here will be a millionaire. 10 mBTC to be 1 million dollars, in this scenario I'm multi millionaire, this will not happen in my lifetime, even bitcoin price is increasing each year, this is very hard for my brain to realize, can we be so lucky?

Obviously long before a satoshi is a dollar the code would be changed so it could be broken down to 10,12,16 decimal places. It's kind of a no brainer.

What you need to realize is that if there are 21M bitcoins and each of them costs $100M (1 satoshi = $1) then the market cap would be 2.1E15 or 2.1 quadrillion dollars. It's not going to happen. That's higher than the entire world's money supply. It's just never ever ever going to happen (unless the dollar is virtually worthless).
1263  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transaction Accelerator on: March 03, 2017, 05:16:07 PM
But this isn't at the protocol level so it's just a 3rd party that's paying the fee on your behalf then... right? Miner fees aren't that much, so I don't see much of a long term point to this service. It's fine as a gimmick to get their name out there though.
1264  Economy / Speculation / Re: To the moooon! on: March 03, 2017, 05:13:47 PM
Is this your attempt at FUD? Are you the new kwukduck?

Lol maybe the OP should tell us what altcoin we should buy instead. I'm sure he has something specific he'd like to pump here.
1265  Economy / Speculation / Re: Front page of the BBC! on: March 03, 2017, 02:39:36 PM
I don't get the comparison either. It's really strange because the market cap of gold is sooooo much higher than bitcoins and way less volatile. It's a shitty comparison but I guess it's good so the dumb public can wrap their tiny minds around bitcoins. I love how everyone mainstream article has to give some weird little explanation of what bitcoins are still. Aren't we past that yet!? It's funny to see what they add in and what they omit. This one doesn't talk about satoshi but talks a very very small bit about mining and bitcoin addresses. It was really overly simplified though.
1266  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this a REAL Bitcoin bubble? on: March 03, 2017, 02:33:48 PM
It is indeed a bubble. If you can't see it you are blind.

Check this out:

What do you see in this chart? It screams BUBBLE!!

We are on GOX v2.0

Bullshit. When mt got happened it was so opportunity quick. This has been a steady rise over 3 years. It's a completely different situation. It's not a bubble like mt gox but there is a lot of speculation going on because of the ETF that may come soon.
1267  Economy / Speculation / Re: Pessimist's Exponent on: March 03, 2017, 02:15:43 PM
It's easy to say it should be 2k based on the past but the problem is there's no telling how quickly or slowly it will rise with different economic or political turmoil.

What if bitcoins are illegal in China and the US in 2018? The price would tank!
1268  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Yobit freezed my 74 BTC !!! More than 3 weeks (SCAM ALERT!!) on: March 03, 2017, 04:17:13 AM
Need More Proof
And Why what is the reason to freeze your account ?

Exactly. Prove it first, fill out the right format and...  You were holding 95% of your friends' money? On yobit? Do you or your friend understand the two things you did wrong?

1. He should hold his own bitcoins.
2. Never keep anything you can't afford to lose on an exchange.
1269  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin has defeated gold on: March 03, 2017, 04:13:25 AM
Bitcoin: $1260/BTC
Gold: $1241/xau
Well, I can not believe that the Bitcoin prices has crossed over gold sooner than I expect. I thought the process would be finished in April. Wow, Bitcoin is truly worth and everyone who has sold their Bitcoin has made a huge mistake. Nothing can stop Bitcoin right now.

Kind of a stupid comparison. You can't even compare altcoins like this. Look at the market cap or nothing. That's the only true comparison.
1270  Economy / Speculation / Re: ATH on all major exchanges!! on: March 02, 2017, 02:41:46 PM
It's all speculation on the ETF that's going to either pass or not on March 11th. It's either going to be a huge day for bitcoins or just another day. Assuming the ETF doesn't pass we can expect a $200 or $300 dip, but if it does pass we'll see steady increases and down the road looking to the future we'll see even more steady increases because of all of the money flowing in.
1271  Economy / Digital goods / Re: ONCE IN A LIFETIME DOMIAN [COINBASE.IO] on: March 02, 2017, 02:34:49 PM
WRONG. Coinbase can take this domain away from you and pay you $0.00

http://www.domainsherpa.com/6-ways-to-recover-a-domain-name-from-an-infringing-cybersquatter/

This happened to a friend of mine who own a "Hotmail" domain and Microsoft got it within a few weeks and he walked away with $0.
Not true. This is not how it works. look up "Trump.org". This guy got sued by Trump Inc for trademark infringement, and won (Trump inc didn't pushed the lawsuite tho), this means you can use domains of other companies if you do not intend to use it for malware, or confuse customers/try to make profit from it, from what i've read.

But, i am not sure if domains such as gmaio.com are allowed. Anyone knows?

Gmail could be taken only if the website is related to gmail in any way like a phishing site or a clone. If its just a normal random site it would be fine because trademarks don't cover mis spellings unless its meant to distract or confuse customers

Yep it's a case by case basis. Obviously if you're trying to steal customers it's copyright infringement. Coinbase is an actual blockchain term so if you use it for anything to do with bitcoins that isn't an exchange you aren't infringing on any copyright.
1272  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Peter Schiff being an idiot on national television on: March 02, 2017, 01:30:10 PM
That guy is just a permabull for gold. What an old school thing to be permabull about lol. He does know most of the gold in the world has already been found right?
1273  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can i sell Satoshi ? on: March 02, 2017, 01:16:49 AM
Ok a lot of the post was confusing but I get it now. You're going to earn about 0.02btc a month, so yes of course you can sell that amount. The problem you may come into is the withdrawal fee might be pretty hefty for such a small amount. What I mean is if it's $5 to receive a wire transfer from an exchange it might not be worth selling $20 worth of bitcoins at a time.
1274  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] coinmixer.net on: February 28, 2017, 01:50:25 AM
Wtf why would you use a random unheard of mixer before even doing a quick search to see if its a scam? At least it wasn't much at all. Btw 5USD? Is that below their minimum threshold? That doesn't seem like very much to mix. I know a lot of other mixers would consider that a donation.
1275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: On OneHash you can bet Trump resignation! on: February 28, 2017, 01:48:12 AM
The only way he would resign is if he knew that he would somehow no longer be welcome or able to do his job. By unwelcome I mean like he did a crime and is forced to resign or whatever. Not that someone doesn't like him lol. He doesn't care that half of the US population hates him and the rest of the world does too.
1276  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 10 main mistakes of Bitcoin newbies on: February 26, 2017, 11:22:00 PM
IMO the biggest 2 mistakes are sending transactions with low fees and not reading enough before using bitcoins. The more you read beforehand the less issues you have when you start to use bitcoins.
1277  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin fees have quadrupled, and this is just the beginning on: February 26, 2017, 04:38:39 AM
It's still cheaper than paying a flat fee for bank accounts (where I'm from anyway). It costs money to move money. Who cares. It's still very cheap if you're sending it around the world.
1278  Economy / Speculation / Re: I think bull run coming soon on: February 26, 2017, 04:36:50 AM
We've had a significant bull run already so I'm expecting a price drop rather than a bull run to the moon.
1279  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not dead yet but should be. on: February 25, 2017, 11:54:42 PM
Lol that's the shittiest article I've ever read in my life. This guy is obviously an idiot and doesn't know the first thing about bitcoins. Omfg so stupid.
1280  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How hard is it really to make money on: February 25, 2017, 11:44:00 PM
Realistically expect to make less than minimum wage lol. This is a global currency so unless you're dealing with someone locally you won't be making much. Try selling things or offering a service that you haven't seen here before, that's the only way you could ask what you'd like to be paid for and actually get it.
