Kurdish people were attacked and murdered by the Turks as well and continue to be, say what you will about the PKK they have pretty much been mainly fighting the Turks in regards to this, Turkey bombed some of their camps awhile back after they tried negotiating with them, their leader is imprisoned for life in that country which is why they seem to be resorting to these tactics.
