301  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lucky Bitcoiner on: February 19, 2021, 10:30:12 AM
Well, he took the risk and got the rewards. That's all there is to it. Although I am not a fan of flaunting out my achievements and assets, we really can't judge the guy. Maybe he wants to be an inspiration or something. But that thing he did, is really dangerous, since bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in this industry are still hot in the eyes of both banks and governments. He may become a target by them. Not only that but also by criminals both online and local. I sure hope he already considered these things before even thinking of exposing himself and his wealth.
302  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Statement by the President Three Years After the Parkland Shooting on: February 19, 2021, 09:28:49 AM
The only take I have on this is that removing guns or not acting about it at all are both wrong solutions due to tradition, and contradictions on tradition. What truly is needed is to have good regulation. Strict rules and even stricter requirements before letting any person have the right to own a gun. This is to ensure that a person has a valid reason in owning a gun and is mentally stable. If this happens, then surely, both sides( traditional and non traditional) would benefit.
303  Economy / Economics / Re: Miami Mayor Will Allow Employee salaries in Bitcoin on: February 12, 2021, 06:24:53 PM
This indeed is a smart move. Specially now that this industry is still on it's early stages. Using bitcoin, will make way for other alternative coins out there to also be adopted in the future same as bitcoin if it all works out well. I just hope that the bill would not be too unfair for the crypto currency users and would be showing genuine hunger for innovation by  being more lenient. If this would be the case, there can only be great things ahead of both this industry and the common ones.
304  Other / Politics & Society / Re: People in government is against bitcoin on: February 12, 2021, 05:45:26 PM
Every currency, rugulated or not has their own flaws, can be used in good and can be used in evil. There are always two sides on a single coin. It only depends on the person holding it whether it'd be used for good or for evil. Which is why the government's and bank's logic about bitcoin are nothing but crap in my eyes. They are merely baseless accusations and are just for the sake of having something to throw at bitcoin. One way or another they will be forced to eat their words when mass adoption get bugger and faster or they'll be left behind.
305  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Health is wealth and shouldn't be politicised! on: February 12, 2021, 11:10:09 AM
You know what, I get your point. The thing is, the economies have taken a huge hit and would be crumbling down anytime soon if nothing is done about it which is why, opening establishments was thought of while implementing strict protocols and requirements. This is the new normal and we cannot do anything about it. People are losing jobs and not just dying because of the virus but because of the major effects of this pandemic to the economy. While I think that the governments can do and should do more, specially those in the poor countries, I still think that it is natural that this is happening since we all were struck by surprise by this pandemic and everyone is still adjusting. Instead of pointing fingers, let us help each other, let us contribute instead of being a problem by following the rules and regulations or protocols set by the government. Because after all, we will all benefit from this unity.
306  Economy / Economics / Re: Mastercard Bitcoin Global Adoption? on: February 12, 2021, 10:27:01 AM
This is quite the good news for every crypto enthusiast in this industry. This will only lead to more spikes in the price of bitcoin along with all the other crypto currencies. Positive news just keep on coming. The only problem I see with this is that they have not said anything specific nor named any coin that they would accept. This would be a problem if they would only accept what they think are good enough or only coins that would comply with their requirements. This will only be bad news for this industry.
307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Potential of an altcoin on: February 11, 2021, 03:32:41 PM
Don't go making things complicated op, I suggest that instead of comparing your coins or possessions in your portfolio(s), just go ahead and study the charts of your investments together with their developing teams and roadmaps. You need to check wether the market is heading into the bearish season or not by checking bitcoin chart and your altcoin possession chart. Next is to check the legitimacy of the project, the developing team and the timelines of the roadmaps and account their reasons as to why there are delays with the movement of the project itself(if there are any delays).

You ae better off doing those things instead than just comparing your possessions since it is confusing and kind of loose when it comes to accuracy compared to the ways I suggested. This is not a financial advuce but a friendly advice since I have tried it and it worked for me many times. Good luck op.
308  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Despicable Congress on: February 11, 2021, 03:05:30 PM
Trump's actions are the reason why it uas come to this. There clearly is something wrong with the guy's head for doing or saying what he did the caused a lot of chaos amd other branching problems. It is always you reap what you sow. Had he not said or done those things, then he wouldn't be in a type of situation like his today. It's that simple. The senate is composed by many heads and not all of them are too smart, too dumb or too biased to make unreasonable decisions, and take note that every ruling needs to be voted for before it comes to pass.
309  Economy / Economics / Re: After 1 year of Covid 19 Virus on: February 11, 2021, 02:09:30 PM
I for one really do wish for this pandemic to end. It is dragging down every single one of us in this entire planet. Even with the vaccines being created, the availability to reach every single one in every nation is still quite difficult maybe even impossible. And not only that, some of the people who are fortunate enough to recieve these vaccines are choosing to not get vaccinated due to conspiracies and lack of education towards these vaccines. I just hope this gets sorted out soon cause a lot are already dying, not just infected people but also the struggling people in the sinking economies.
310  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Myanmar issues on: February 11, 2021, 12:58:21 PM
There can be a hundred proven thousands of suggestions that everyone in this forum can give and most would probably be good solutions for the problem in Myanmar. But the thing is that no matter how much we talk and talk about this and come up with different kinds of useful solutions, it won't change anything not unless the leader of Myanmar themselves find in their hearts the compassion for their fellow countrymen. And I kean enough compassion that they would give more effort in exercising other solutions for their problems at hand. They have a lot of officals, lots of heads that cam think. If they really want to, they cam absolutely come up with a whole variety of solutions for their problems without compromising the wellbeing of their fellow countrymen.
311  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid-19, Lockdown and repercussions on: February 11, 2021, 12:23:48 PM
Honestly, it really is very difficult specially for the regular people and small business owners. Hours outsiyare limited, some services and businesses are also disallowed, which leads to loss of hundres of thousands of jobs in the whole country. Curfew hours makes it even worse. Even simply buying basic needs and necessities became tedious tasks since only one person per household can do this and a permit for this is needed. I can go on and on with all the troubles that I and my fellow countrymen experience but the bottom line is the lapses of the government, unpreparedness, and lack of innovative ideas in making solutions that would make the lives of everyone easier which would lead to fast adaptation to the new normal that is inevitable.
312  Economy / Economics / Re: All world banks need bitcoin now big solution on: February 11, 2021, 11:51:17 AM
The idea itself is quite useful but impossible to happen. This kind of thought has already been brought up countless times in this forum but none has ever come to fruition. The reason why is that banks just want control together with the government. Yhat is why, never will they allow unregulated things to be legalized such as crypto currencies. One thing they might do would be to copy the technological advantage of crypto currency and apply it to their own. Shameless but what can we do? That's just how they are.
313  Economy / Economics / Re: Florida bank says it has closed Trump's accounts on: February 08, 2021, 05:40:49 PM
The things that are happening between trump and these banks are just natural. These are all just because of the recent events that took place. But despite this, money is still money, these banks may be just want to look good by making these actions. The hwat will probably just cool down with time and that would make way for trump. But even if not, there are still other banks who does accepts his money. So until he is really against the wall, I do not think he will be using bitcoins or any crypto currency unless he really has his back up against the wall. He hates these things and only trust the traditional way of earning. That's just who he is.
314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC Dominance increases again and what happened to altcoin? on: February 08, 2021, 05:06:35 PM
I really find it hard to read your post but I kind of got you point. And it is pretty clear that you quite understand how the industry works and that's nice. But just keep in mind that sometimes, this industry f*cks you up with price movements that don't have any logic. So people should still exercise caution in making investments in this industry.

As for me, im this close to pulling out funds on my alts if the trend continues. Then buy back as bitcoin drops, alt season is almost here and basing on past experiences, it comes mostly anywhere within the second quarter. (This is not a financial advice, I just want to be clear about that  hehe)
315  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The CBN instruction to Nigerian Banks is POLITICAL and government SELFISH reason on: February 08, 2021, 03:58:05 PM
This is so infuriating. Involving people who are unaware of their personal issues resulting to a country being dragged down by its very own leaders. Nothing can be more sickening tham this. The audacity to commit such acts just because of stupid reasons, how childiycan these leaders be? Just because of a petty fit, you compromise your country and your people. Who else is to blame if not the leaders and their political party? If you want to shut people up do it the right way or don't even do things that you know are wrong and would not benefit the majority. You were elected for a reason, and that is to serve the people and not yourself. I wish these damn leaders would think more before doing sh*t.
316  Economy / Economics / Re: Global Wealth Disparity is going to cause a lot of issues soon on: February 08, 2021, 03:37:23 PM
The title of the topic itself is quite confusing but I get what you are saying. Thee truly is a need for acceptance for this world and less differences because of ego and grudges. The world badly needs unity and all these can only start with the leaders themselves. If they do not do anything about these issues, nothing good will ever happen with this world.

And about the last part of your post, it is pretty hard to understand. The division you are stating is pretty impossible to happen, and if it ever does, it may not even work. Just imagine buying with that amount given, what would your change be? And dividing it that way, what if they spend it? Are they still eligible for another dividend? Maybe I'm just a bit close minded or limited in imagining what you are envisioning but I really don't thinf the idea itaelf would work.
317  Economy / Economics / Re: Need of the Hour : Tackle Joblessness on: February 08, 2021, 03:06:21 PM
I really do sympathize with this post. There truly is a big need for jobs and other alternative ways to earn money specially in the underdeveloped and developing countries all over the world. If nothing is done about this, the world will be in chaos. Governments should be more considerate with the people they are governing. People are dying and not only because of the virus itself but also with the economical damages that it brings. Although everyone has a responsibility to help themselves, it is very hard for most of the people to really do something because of restrictions or the lack of resources and opportunities. If only every elected government official are both smart and compassionate.
318  Economy / Economics / Re: Risk-takers always ahead financially on: February 08, 2021, 02:00:04 PM
I hear you loud and clear. You really do have a point, but the thing about taking risks is that the risk should be thought of carefully and not dumb risk. And with an advice like this, the type of person or the mentality of a person should be addressed since we all take setbacks or defeats differently from one another. A man should be wise enough to know what risks are worth taking and what are not. He should be able to pinpoint which risks have defeats that he can take both physically and mentally or a knockdown which he's capable of shaking off.
319  Economy / Economics / Re: Does Bitcoin had a back up by real money? on: February 08, 2021, 11:32:50 AM
Well in layman's terms, bitcoin is not backed up by anything but trust from both sides A and B. It is but air. But even so, bitcoin has people with big names that are fond of using ng bitcoin and making it a store of value. Which is if you think about it, isn't that bad, just as fiat is backed by government and banks, bitcoin has these big names that can back it up since they are heavily invested on it. Although not as reassuring, it still gains trust from many other crypto enthusiasts like you and me. For all we know, thee may also be government or bank employees that are invested in not just bitcoin but in this industry as a whole. That's how I understand bitcoin.
320  Economy / Economics / Re: PayPal cryptocurrency trading volume beyond expectations on: February 06, 2021, 08:40:49 PM
Of course decentralized transactions would overtake the other. The very first people who were attracted in this industry were those who wanted some sort of privacy even if not full proof. And that would just mean they are theones who hold bigger bags. But even so, despite rhe high prices of crypto currencies today, some wee not attracted by profits alone but the desire to he different from the rest or to have some sort of diversity in managing their capitals/investment funds. But no matyer which stats are higher, it is still good for mass adoption since we are still in the early years of this industry. I just hope that regilations in the future becomes more fair for both parties(crypto enthusiasts/users and governments together with the banks).
