721  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does it make any sense to buy Bitcoin now? on: January 02, 2018, 04:05:56 PM
Does it make any sense to buy Bitcoin now? Isn't the price too high? Will it ever offer 30 000% returns?
I think so...in recent time Bitcoin has become a trusted platform and The price has raised up again. I believe that Bitcoin is one of the most profitable platforms so that people are getting engaged in this system day by day. 30000% return is a huge number but I am sure that Bitcoin will provide a large number of profit in the coming months. So anyone can be attached to this system with a spirit.

Great observation. And i can absolutely say that i too think the same. Of all the things bitcoin has gone through, every one who has been around long enough can testify how amazing bitcoin is, and how strong it has been facing every challenge it faced and became better after beating those challenges. And with those, have proven that bitcoin itself is worthy of our trust. Specially now that its major flaws are already being fixed ny the lightning network and is nearing completion.
722  Economy / Speculation / Re: Right time to buy bitcoin on: January 02, 2018, 03:58:16 PM
At this time bitcoin price is very dumping.I think it's time to buy bitcoin.Do you think, this is the right time to buy bitcoin or wait few days. Please tell me?

I wish you have waited a few days before you invested. Because clearly, the price of bitcoin really decreased more a few days after this post you made.

I think now is the better time to buy bitcoin since i think it has already hit the rock bottom of the great correction for this episode. And i think a lot are already seeing this great opportunity and are now preparing amd selling alts to get funds to use on investing on bitcoins. So i suggest you do the same since this is clearly your chance. Don't let it slip away.
723  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Criminality and Bitcoin on: January 02, 2018, 03:52:52 PM
Bitcoin is fully Anonymous so chance to use criminality. Bit coin is used to buy drugs and weapons.Bit coin exchange is used for most cyber crime activities.

While i can say that i agree on some of your statements back then, I don't think that it is still the same case nowadays. Because you see,  a lot of criminals back then really thought that bitcoin was dead on anonymous and used it for transactions benefiting their criminal activities. But after a few years, the authorities found the flaws of the bitcoin's security or anonymity.  And found ways to track criminals. Which is why criminals today are now switching to other cryptos and the most famous is monero.
724  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is making us money while we sleep, people! on: January 02, 2018, 02:45:07 PM
It does. But we have to consider as well recent price crashes. So if you have bought bitcoins last 2017 that costed around $20,000, then bitcoins won't grant you money while you sleep. This is a good example of how volatile bitcoins are. It is such a scary thought and an exciting one as well.

That is the drawback of investing into Bitcoins with not understanding how it works yet and investing blindly because of the hype of the price. Trully, i can say that these people deserved their losses but i cannot say such since i do not know why they invest. But i hope this serves as a lesson to them already to make them realize their mistakes. There is no such thing in this world that is instant. And if there is, consequences behind them are inevitable.

Indeed volatility of bitcoins amd the thrill it brings is very addictive. But be sure to not get driven by emotion. Because like gambling, it can drag you down from something to nothing.

725  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your New Year Resolutions for Bitcoin in 2018? on: January 02, 2018, 02:06:39 PM
We are one day away from 2018. What is your New Year Resolutions for Bitcoin in 2018?

Will you decide to invest more or finally cash out or will you change your investment strategy to spend more and hoard less?

Let's share our New Year Resolutions for Bitcoin and how we will contribute to the success of this experiment in 2018.

Bye Bye 2017 ^smile^ ////// Welcome 2018!!!!!

Well, my new year resolutions include not believing fuds easily about bitcoin anymore. And instead, look for other sources for news before getting into sudden conclusions and decide to either do this or that. Have learned my lesson already. Another is to invest more amd hold more and only sell when emergencies that cannot be delayed happen. But other than that, never sell. I wish i can be able to do that and discipline myself better.

Those are my new year resolutions.
726  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Help - I've just lost my Bitcoin! on: January 02, 2018, 01:32:56 PM
I feel sorry for you man. I really am so pissed with people who steal other people's hard earned cryptos. But sad to say, we cam do nothing to stop this guys but to take care of our possessions as carefully as we can.

you should've been more careful. I know the last thing you wamma hear right now is someone lecturing you but you need to hear it. So, think back. Did you just get into bitcoingold? or you also get into bitcoincash with the same address?
Also, another thing to look at is if you clicked on a phishing site. Then after that, think if there are any other people who know about your address or are there people who can access your pc. Trace every step you took amd try to get to the root of the problem.
727  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Criminal Underworld Is Dropping Bitcoin for Another Currency on: January 02, 2018, 12:48:36 PM
I don't know wether this is a good news or not. Because either way, the whole crypto world will suffer because of this.  Yes, this might be good for bitcoin because it proves that bitcoin is just the same with other cryoto currency or fiat that can be taken advantage by criminals. But the fact that authorities already have ways to track users, i do mot think it is worth the profit. I sure am going to find better currencies that have better security and decentralization options. And monero won't be one of it anymore since it is hot with authorities now.
728  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New to Crypto on: December 25, 2017, 03:29:41 AM
Before investing in some altcoins i should do some research. I will: read the whitepaper, see if the developers are good(how experienced they are and searching them on linkedin), see if they site is good, whatch the graphs and see if the coin is growing, see if the coin have some good sponsor, understand why this coin is different from others. What else should i search before buying an altcoin?

Great job man. Continue doing what you do. You're doing great. I really feel happy seeing newbies taking time to read stuff and really prioritize learning more first before being greedy or anything else. And that is by far the greatest decision you have ever made here in the crypto world the statement knowlege is power really do strongly apply here. So again, great job in not jumping into ICO investments blindly. You will surely achieve success if you continue to work hard like this.

Also,  trying to ask questions to the developers themselves can really help. Sometimes, the personality they show are important too since it reflects on their work. Merry Christmas mate. Good luck with your adventures hee in the crypto world amd welcome.
729  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: need a good beginner friendly exchange for altcoins on: December 25, 2017, 03:13:46 AM
I'm already familiar with coinbase and Gdax but they only cover four coins at the moment.

What is a good exchange where I could buy and sell alt coins like Ripple, Dash, Monero, and Cardano?

Ideally, the fees will be zero or very low. Obviously I want something secure as well.

There sure are a lot of exchanges out there that are available for newbies like you. All you have to do is read or watch a video on yout on how to use that certain exchange. Exchanges like binance, bittrex, coinexchange,  and more. The thing is, due to proce increase in bitcoin, the terms on most of these sites have changed. And are asking a lot of information from their users now so that you can have an unlimited quantity of any currency to transfer for a specific time frame.
730  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Question/Comments for those with many coins who store in wallets on: December 25, 2017, 03:02:31 AM
So I've got about 30+ coins and currently in the process of moving them off exchanges and storing them in wallets.

WHAT A PAIN IN THE ASS. The Ledger Nano only supports a few which leaves a bunch of desktop clients that take DAYS to sync the block chain... if ever!  What happens if I leave the coins in cold storage, want to sell them, fire up the computer and the wallet takes 24 hours to resync??? One might miss their sell opportunity.

Is there a better way to handle this?

I feel you man. I am also having the same freaking problem for the past few months. The only solution i had was to leave my coins on the exchanges i use and put the ones that nano accepts into nano. Honestly, i was too lazy to search for other ways which is why i did what i did. I know it's risky but oh well, at least i havent invested much yet on my coins that are on the exchanges.

Really am looking forward for great suggestions here. I'mma watch this thread.
731  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do we need to invest in bitcoin? on: December 25, 2017, 02:43:27 AM
I think bitcoin can be a very long term investment opportunity.
however, the current price increase makes me feel that it will break one day.
correct me if i'm wrong.
i think it should have an incremental price increase rather than this skyrocket boom.

Yes that is true. Bitcoin can really be an amazing long terms investmemt that will surely give you a pocket full of money.also it is true that bitcoin really has a lot of issues that is going since the price has increased drastically.  I alsp believe that icrease in price should rather be slow than what we all saw just a few weeks ago.
732  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin More Important Than Ethereum ? on: December 25, 2017, 02:12:24 AM
Is Bitcoin More Important Than Ethereum?

I quite think so since it is really something that is surely the king of all crypto currencies out there all oceer the world.
And it is obviously the determiner of prices on different crypto currency. If it goes up a lot of alternative coins or token also goes up. And if it goes does the prices of other alternative coins or other tokrens  that is what i think. Not that i say ethereum is completely useless in the crypto world. I am just saying.
733  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your biggest regret about bitcoin on: December 25, 2017, 01:59:13 AM
I heard about bitcoin on television when it was just 200USD and did not research it any further. I should have looked into it and realize what bitcoin is cappable of, though I would not even have been old enough to convince my parantes of investing a few thousand and let alone myself, I did not even have a bank account that I could use freely.

This was also the case for me. But the most regretting thing is that i researched only a bit about it and saw only negative feedbacks and advices saying that bitcoin is a scam like other pyramiding scams out there and that it is for criminals since it is widely used in the deepweb for illegal transactions like buying drugs, guns, amd other illegal things online. How stupid i was back tgen to have believed so fast resding only a few articles about bitcoins. Looking back makes my heart hurt more. Damn it.
734  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What should I do to get bitcoins? on: December 25, 2017, 01:29:23 AM
There are a couple of ways to earn bitcoin, one of which would be to join or participate in icos though not all icos will give you bitcoin, some of which will give you their token but you are free to convert them to bitcoin anytime you want so long as you have it and they are available in exchanges. Another option is to but some bitcoins or trade your altcoin to bitcoin.

Those suggestions you have mentioned are truly on point and really are great ways to earn bitcoins. I too have done them and had really made me some good amount of dough. But the thing is, you forgot to mention the most important thing to earn bitcoins or other crypto currencies here in the crypto world. Which are the basics. I cannot stress enough how important it is for a crypto person to know about the basics. Because without this, a crypto person will have a hard to surviving in the crypto world or worse, fail and lose great capitals or have their efforts become useless.
735  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the advantages of having Bitcoin? on: December 25, 2017, 01:16:29 AM
Standard wire transfers and foreign purchases typically involve fees and exchange costs. Since Bitcoin transactions have no intermediary institutions or government involvement, the costs of transacting are kept very low. This can be a major advantage for travelers. Additionally, any transfer in Bitcoins happens very quickly, eliminating the inconvenience of typical authorization requirements and wait periods.

Yes. I do agree that this really are the true advantages of bitcoins. Besides the fact that it can extremely increase your money if you decide to invest in it as well plus the fact that you do not have to give out any personal information with every transaction. Which for me is really convenient and less hassle. But the thing is, the fees are rising extremely also together with the time needed to finish the confirmations in each transaction which in a way is slowly destroying bitcoin's reputation.
736  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I Wait or Invest On Bitcoin? on: December 25, 2017, 01:03:17 AM
If you are waiting for a good timing to invest in Bitcoin, now is the most accurate time to buy Bitcoin because its price has dropped. If you buy Btc at a cheaper price, you have a great chance of getting a good profit when bitcoin increases by 50% from its current price of $14 thousand. I feel so sorry now because I did not buy it when it fell yesterday's $12k.

Great advice and observations. It is such a good thing to see that not all of the people who are new to the cryoto world are stupid amd blindly investing in something to do not have idea about. Great job knowing your basics man. And don't worry. Because opportunities here in the crypto world always do come and go, if you missed one, that doesn't mean you are already too late. Just continue to learn more. There are soany things in the crypto world than just bitcoin. Try to study more and you will see that opportunities to gain profits here in the crypto world are unlimited. You just need to have better experience and good knowlege about things here. Goodluck man.
737  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: High fees are separating the wheat from the chaff on: December 25, 2017, 12:12:01 AM
I think you are missing the point.

Core Devs promised LN would fix the transactions & fee problems.

Well the transactions and fees issue have risen to the point that even die hard btc zealots are admitting btc is unusable at over $50 per fee.

Bitcoin Cash has seen a tremendous surge in support , because it works.

Don't like Bitcoin Cash , use litecoin instead, but either way they are affordable working crypto currencies and btc is not.

The only vapor ware is LN , where is it, how long do you expect people to wait, when they need to conduct business or transfer funds.
(Mailing a check is faster and cheaper than btc now, which should tell you btc is broken.)

And do the core devs up the blocksize to 2 mb, which is basically nothing extra, nope they say wait for LN,
so the stupid keep waiting and the price per btc keeps dropping and other coins keep increasing marketshare.

Your btc is dying, either you move to Bitcoin Cash or Litecoin or you drop to nothing , as btc will not recover from lost marketshare this time like in the past ,
it competitors are too focused and keep their payment systems working and affordable.

Your btc false religion is dying, accept it before it is too late.

╥Aztek

Well, you really have got some great opinions pointed out man. It is really true that bitcoin is slowly dying and olit is pretty obvious that a lot of better altcoins out there. But still, even so. I will never lose hope for bitcoin. Not now, not tomorrow, and not ever. Bitcoin have. Over come every obstacle rhat came its way  amd im sure bitcoin will get through this.
738  Other / Off-topic / Re: If bitcoin goes to zero on: December 24, 2017, 07:26:20 PM
Rest goes to zero as well?

Which is kinda weird. Everything is measured in BTC. Which makes it the digital gold and bridge between $ (real world) anf crypto.

I don't think so. When bitcoins crash, I really doubt that it will drag everything else down with it. Etheriums, litecoins, Bitcoin Cash, and Bitcoin Gold will totally rise and take the spot of bitcoins. I think there will only be a slight crash due to a panic sell because by that time, investors might be speculating the death of cryptocurrency as a whole.

Yes. I agree with you. But only to an extent. Because the way i see it,  whatever happens to the crypto world either everything goes down at the crash of bitcoin or not depends on the reason why bitcoin had crashed. If it is because of the lack of improvement of the technicalities of bitcoin, then the things you said may really do happen. But if the reason is all the governments branding bitcoin as something illegal, then better take all your funds from any coin or token you have and convert to fiat because that will be a domino effect and wipl most certainly be the fall of crypto currencies.
739  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Worried about btc future on: December 24, 2017, 08:57:27 AM
I see a lot of optimism about bitcoin, which is understandable seeing the price recently.
But I have to admit I'm a little worried about the long term future of btc.
The major problems if the currency still haven't been dealt with. I see 2 major ones:

-Block size. Which makes the delay and fees of transaction rise very fast. Smaller transactions are more and more difficult to make.
-The centralization of the market. China got low cost electricity, which make them by far the most bitcoin mining capable.
-And maybe others that I'm not aware of.

Another thing: The Hard forks that are oddly getting much more frequent than before. (BCH, BTG, Segwitx2 etc...) It almost looks like "attacks" in order to divide us. Now called "airdrops" by the community. Even though they're supposed to solve some of the problems.

All in all, this makes me really worried about btc future. I've been a strong holder since 2014, and I made quite a lot of money with bitcoins, but I begin to doubt now, even though the price is crushing ATM. Please help me keeping faith. Or should I switch to another currency ? Really thinking about ETH recently.

I hate to admit it but these issues truly are legitimate and real. And no one can ever deny it. Anyone saying otherwise is either delusional or a big lier.  I also cannot say that you should still believe in bitcoin since a lot of facts are saying otherwise. And i do not wannt to be accountable for your losses if ever.

But,  one thing i can say is that i will remain believing. Out of all the challenges bitcoin has gone through, it has overcome. And i still believe that bitcoin will overcome this challenge. If not, then at least it was a great ride. Win or lose. I am all in.
740  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What should I do to get bitcoins? on: December 24, 2017, 08:16:25 AM
I have no skills except for making offensive jokes

Let me expand on the guy above me:

that what I can suggest you at a moment or try to develop skills and try to learn new things that will help you in long run.

This is pretty much what you should be doing. I'd say that the most valued skills that you could learn right now (to earn bitcoin AND help you in the rest of your life as well) are coding (front end or back end, both are great in their own way), graphics designing, and or trading. Just teach yourself a little bit each day and seriously, you'll be skilled in a jiffy. All three of those skills can have a huge payout, especially trading since you're technically self employed.

Good luck.

I've noticed that there have been two new replies by people who are encouraging gambling and faucets. Gambling is definitely not the way to go, since it's a thousand times easier to lose your money than to gain a tiny amount, and you should avoid faucets as well unless you think working for a few pennies an hour is worth it.

Great idea man. I agree with you. And am pretty curious if it really is possible to learn how to do graphic designs and be an expert in coding by doing your own research or self studying without a proper course. But anyways. That is really the way to go. If you really are serious in eaning a living with crypto currencies.

And yes, gambling surely isn't the way to go. It will only lead you to addiction and clouding your decisions. Maight even leave you with empty pockets and sleepless night thinking about gambling.
