Announcement: First twitter campaign analyze has just been launched.

Results will be published tomorrow (and first stakes distribution will occur).

Dear sir, how much stake should a member rank recieve? Given that he has finished 35 posts?

If you read the OP, you will find that a Member rank who made 35 posts will earn 35*20 = 700 stakes.

Ohh.
Thanks.
Just looked at the spreadsheet amd i do not understand why the posts counted for me was just 24 when i think that i have made more than 35 posts. Please do make me understand so that i know my mistake is there was any. I love to know my weaknesses so i can give way to improving my self. Thanks.
882  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Japan ready to kick Bitmain's ass on: October 17, 2017, 06:00:01 AM
https://news.bitcoin.com/japans-internet-giant-gmo-launching-bitcoin-mining-with-7nm-chips/

Quote
Japan’s leading internet conglomerate and bitcoin exchange operator GMO has announced that it is expanding into the businesses of bitcoin mining and chip manufacturing. The company revealed plans to produce and sell 7nm semiconductor chips and run a mining facility in Northern Europe.

Quote
"We will operate a next-generation mining center utilizing renewable energy and cutting-edge semiconductor chips in Northern Europe. We will use cutting-edge 7nm process technology for chips to be used in the mining process, and jointly work on its research and development and manufacturing with our alliance partner having semiconductor design technology."

This 7nm would outperform the current generation of Bitmain's Antminer S9s. It will take a while until Bitmain catches up, this means that we may finally see some cracks in the ridiculous Bitmain's evil monopoly (evil because they promote dogshit like Bitcoin Cash, do evil miner things like mine empty blocks then complain about fees etc)

I hope more and more big players enter the game of mining. I remember Putin wanted to get in too, and im sure USA will be kicking miner ass too. nVidia and AMD will be there soon too with their own ASICs. This mining game has only begun. Bitmain's monopoly will be over sooner or later.

Damn this news just feels sooo damn great! Finally! A competition for bitmain! This should be a grwat eye opener for bitmain to improve their services at last. Not that it would make a difference after what they have shown the public. But at least now they would realize that customer care is more important than anything else.

Now that a lot of big players are thinking of jumping in to the crypto world mining industry, I think there would be great competition in quality,  customer care, cheap prices, and ao much more. This will really be a big step forward for the crypto world. I just hope that all this will happen as soon as possible.
883  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Korea To Tax Bitcoin Use on: October 17, 2017, 05:46:35 AM
South Korea is preparing to tax bitcoin use after the cryptocurrency’s trading volume skyrocketed past that of Kosdaq.
Death and taxes ... it seems that even bitcoins can't escape that Smiley

Well, it is good on one side for the people who loves bitcoins as a currency. But for the ones who loves it because of the profit it can provide, I don't think so. This is a huge step for bitcoin and all the other cryoto currencies out there because this just means that they are doing ways to make bitcoins legal and be accepted. Although the word "taxing" is quite scarry, i think they mean taxing bitcoins when you turn them into fiat. I mean, if they don't, there would be no way that people will be telling the truth to wether they possess any crypto currencies or not.

885  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why all the freakout about Bitcoin's price? on: October 17, 2017, 01:59:43 AM
1) I generally only worry about Bitcoin's price when I want to buy a gift card or something. And even then, converting to fiat is someone else's problem in this scenario.

2) I can go weeks without opening up my wallet or checking the price, so it's not like I'm addicted, right? Right?!

3) Buy, hodl, buy, hodl...

Obviously, these people that freak out with every price dip are the people that are still new to the crypto world. And in this case, bitcoin. These newbies tend to panic a lot because of all the bullshit they get to read everyday from people can do nothing better with their lives but to spread baseless fuds about bitcoins. Which then fuels up their panicking. Worse is that most of these fud spreaders are people who don't even know what they are talking about. While, others do it for fun or for trolling, and others to make other people panick sell sonthey can buy low, most of them just wanna have something to say about the big thing being talked about.

So likewise, will buy, hodl, and back again.
886  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will a fork of Bitcoin ever take over? on: October 17, 2017, 12:54:46 AM
Now that there are going to be 4 different forks of bitcoin...

Bitcoin
Bitcoin Gold
Bitcoin Cash
B2x

What do you guys think the chances of one of the forks or even a future fork taking over the main market capitalization.  Maybe after these upcoming forks it will only strengthen bitcoin.  I think all of these forks are just cash grabs profiting off of the hype of the real beast.

Thoughts?

I think soo too. These segwit2xs just really seems to be only overrated schemes for profit. Specially bitcoin gold. which is pretty much a poor effort to make dollar bills as it seems to me. So over all, i think bitcoin will still remain Superior over others. Nothng beats experience amd bitcoin just has that. Not to mention its great history. I mean, who wouldn't respect bitcoin after all?
But hey, that's just me. Nothing's sure in the cryoto world anyways, so maybe or maybe not, who know?
But whatever the case I surely am still going to stick with bitcoins no matter what.
887  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it more wise to invest in Bitcoin or in Ethereum for the next 5 years? on: October 16, 2017, 04:30:26 PM
I think it will be best to invest in both bitcoin and etherium, bitcoin was the first and many people are already using it, etherium on the other hand might follow bitcoin's track so if you missed investing in bitcoin back when it was still a dollar or less then you can still invest now and then half of that you just invest in etherium as the price is still not that high, by the time it shoots up say about 3 years then you already have that much profit from it. You can also do trading. It will gain you more profit.

I agree. Both coins are really great for investment. Surely because they both can give anyone a pretty decent amount of profit if they are willing to wait. But in terms of making money the fastest, i prefer etherium over bitcoin because etherium is much cheaper and is a much more volatile crypto currency. Which is pretty great if you ask me. Bitcoins are awesome too and can get you a much more greater profit. Only if you are in for the long term. So which of the is great. It only depends on your wants. But i suggest to get your hands on both rather than choose between two winning choices.
888  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Laptop or desktop security on: October 15, 2017, 06:20:43 PM
I'm looking to purchase a new laptop and I want to know, which brand would be best compatible with #Bitcoin core wallets and upgrades.

What security services should I use?

Judging how no one is letting up in this fork debate I see that in the future bitcoin wallet providers will be speaking out on which chain they will be a part of. I just want to be as close to correct as possible.

Call 2X BTCCorp for all i care im not with corporate espionage

Lol. Whatever you choose won't kake any difference bruh! Lol. Doesn't matter if you go for a laptop or anything else as long as you disconnect it from the internet it is good for security. Well, depends on how much you know on protecting your bitcoins.

Now for wallets, we really cannot say which is which because nothing stays the same in this world forever. So the only thing you can rely on for deciding is your own guts. Opinions are nice but still, what makes the decision is you. So gather as much knowledge as you can while you're here. Every piece of information is important. It is easier to do things yourself than to rely oj others(if you get my point).

889  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Taking Courses to learn about Bitcoin on: October 15, 2017, 05:22:32 PM
Has anyone taken a course online on sites like Udemy to learn about bitcoin? I just received a coupon to enroll in a bitcoin course for free. Would it be worth the time?
If anyone has any experience, do share.

I haven't but i sure would love to get on one if it's free. You are lucky that you have a chance to get in oj something like that that a lot of people including me would really love to experience. So i say go for it. It would be the greatest decision you would ever make in your whole life. Do not take this chance for granted. Learning about anything is never a waste of time. Knowledge is the most vakuabke thing in this world so never say no to anything that can get you more knowledge about anything.
890  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: which information sources you're using to stay updated with cryptocurrencies? on: October 14, 2017, 07:07:21 PM
can you share with us which information sources you're using to stay updated with cryptocurrencies?

there are actually a lot of sources for informations regarding cryoto currencies only if you would take time to research. There are a good number of search engines you can use to sarisfy your needs for information regarding cryoto currencies.

Now, i use google to search for sites that give good infos about new coins and analysis on them. Then i ask about it to my friends or other leople to know if the site is really a good source for information regarding crypto currencies.
I also get uodates on social media sites like facebook, twitter, reddit, slack, telegram, amd steemit. And of course, bitcointalk.org.

What do you think? Would you do the same thing? Do you think in the future he will be a rich man?

you know what, i believe in bitcoin, i also love it and all but. I would NEVER ever do something so stupid like what he did. Damn! I would beat hik up into a pulp if it so hapoened that his wife was my sister! Freaking dumbass put my sister and her children's life at risk just so he can gamble with this. It is true that you have to jump to bs able to fly, but this is just too much. He is either dumb or a heartless selfish son of a b*tch. This isn't bravery. This is pure stupidity.
892  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I've just been hacked!! :-( on: October 14, 2017, 04:31:30 PM
Hi all,

I'm quite new to bitcoin and only started collecting a few months ago. I've been using Bitcoin Wallet on Blockchain.info

I'm aware (now) that I should have been protecting my bitcoin better and using an offline wallet (which I've just purchased). My main issue is that last night someone somehow hacked my wallet and transferred my 0.831 BIT to another account.

Is there anyway to get it back?? Please help! That's a lot of money I've invested and just gone in a blink of an eye :-(

My wallet is: 74d2adcd-f1e2-4058-a55b-70f151610a1a

It was transferred to several others by the looks of it, then to one single wallet:

Then finally to this one:

It's unspent, but I don't know if that helps me get it back somehow??

I'm sooooo frustrated and feel so helpless!

Please help me if you can!

Thanks

I really do not want to say this but,  you really need to realize it. You have been so careless. Out of all the things you could've taken for granted, you took for franged your hard earned bitcoin. And i highly doubt that you didn't know that these things really do happen. Apart from news of peoples bank accounts being hacked back then, there are a lot of posts here and all over the internet sharing their experiences of their bitcoins getting hacked. And there are also a lot of advices to prevent this but you know to yourself that you ignored them.

The only person you can blame is yourself. I feel bad for you for I too have lost some things that are important to me back then. But i just had to.say it so it opens eyes. Not only yours but for other newbies out there as well.
I believe in good and bad karma. But it doesnt take away the sadness brougjt by being robbed of something very important to you.
For what its worth, i hope you get back what you lost.
Goodluck.
893  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you using Bitcoin Cash? on: October 12, 2017, 06:15:09 AM
Have you extracted bitcoin cash from your btc seeds yet? If yes, are you using them?
Or have you sold them or exchanged them for another alt or bitcoin.
Or do you plan to hold them as well and expect the value to go high similar to bitcoin.

Yes i have. A few weeks ago. Only held on to it for quite some time and after analyzing the facts and all other infos together with the opinions of various people, i decided to dump them. And had a nice night at the club later that day. Lol.

So if you have some, sell them already, and have fun or invest them on other lromising coins out there. Because clearly, anyone with a rational mind would really seee what bitcoincash is, and where it is heading.

Have a good one.
894  Economy / Speculation / Re: Segwit2x vs 1 MB on: October 12, 2017, 04:56:18 AM
What will you do if 80-90% of miners start mining > 1MB blocks ?
Will you ignore this chain and will be waiting 1-2 hours for 1 confirmation on original chain ?

If somebody makes bitcoin transaction then it apears on Segwit2x chain (bigger block, faster confirmation).
I think it takes hours(or days) to confirm on original chain.

Do I miss something ? (It will be not the same as with Bitcoin cash)

Clearly, i will be going with the dump. Although most of the time, i do not make choices if i can do both, I’m gonna make this one as an exception. Because anyone with common sense would really see that this coin would be nothing but a shitcoin before it even starts getting on its feet. It really Just something that is not worth my time and effort. Have more better things to do than go along with this shtty parade.
895  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your top ICO for November? on: October 10, 2017, 08:09:55 PM
I'm interested to find out.

I have quite a lot of ICOs in mind. But the best that i think, is utrust. I am going all in on this all the way because I really can see exemplary potential from this coin. It has a great dev team and the project itself is really no doubt amazing. It has some competitors almost identical with its project but i still think it is the best and will surely gain success in the future.

How many years will take that fiat coin will be replaced by cryptocurrency?
DO you think it's possible or not at all? Plz share your opinion:)

Dude, like you and many others in this forum, iI really love crypto currencies. But, let’s be honest here., there is just no freaking way that fiat will be replaced by crypto currency. If you ask me, crypto currency fading away has more possibility to happen than fiat getting replaced. Let’s just be happy that we can use both. Because both are better with each other than being compared.
Have a good one op.
897  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHY SUCH CONTEMPT AND DISPARAGING FOR ALT-COINS?! on: October 10, 2017, 07:48:23 PM
I have been to some of the cryptocurrency reddits including r/cryptocurrency and r/bitcoin. There is this usual agreement that Alt-coins are Shit-coins and a general show of contempt towards them. I feel this is a disservice to the cause of wealth redistribution touted by Bitcoin enthusiasts.

I see alt-coins as the one possible way that bitcoin can gain mass acceptance and legality. Those who think that "legality" is something bitcoin doesn't need are just kidding themselves. If the governments outlaws it, it will remain the plaything of uber-hackers with the necessary skill to conceal their identities and be used in the deep web for things like drugs/guns/child-porn (aka Silk Road).

The use cases for alt-coins and ICOs are what can gives bitcoin its major value in the long-run. For example, If the blockchain technology and ICOs enables someone in a third-world country to raise easy capital and use it to invest for setting up a small factory/ infrastructure. Being able to network with investors in developed countries, this also brings the option of open exchange of ideas and availability of expertise from the community. The products these third-world entrepreneurs create in turn benefit the community and give more acceptance to Bitcoin.

The big hurdle in this is going to be the greed of the major holders. The major holders are able to perform pump and dumps and every such Alt-project loses its legitimacy afterwards. The big players run off with the money looking for the next shit-coin to suck dry. The banks/ governments have the funds to become the big holders. This is one way they can easily turn bitcoin against itself and destroy its legitimacy. Why isn't there more of a discussion on this?

Sorry if what i have said is just too obvious or already discussed. I started reading about Bitcoin and ICOs about 3 months back and the idealism behind it was exciting. As of now, it seems like its mostly about trading and money. Do we need thought leaders?

I feel you man. And I strongly agree with your points. People nowadays label all alternative coins as shitcoins. But we cannot blame them. Because a lot of people really do make shitcoins which are made for scamming or just for the purpose of gaining money. It really is shitty if you ask me. But there are coins out there that are really great and really does contribute not only to the crypto world but also to the world we live in. And it would take me a lot of words to state every good thing some ICOs did or are aiming for.

Sadly, we cannot change it. All we can do is be mature and do what actions we know are right.
898  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP or XLM ? on: October 10, 2017, 07:40:42 PM
If you have $1000 will you invest in XRP or XLM?

There are plenty of coins out there man. Coins that are far more better than those two. And can be bought cheaper for now because they are still at the bottom. Try to research more. And read a lot of white papers under great dev teams. So you can get a grasp of how better a coin is from the other. And see price hike potentials. But if you insist in choosing between both, XRP should be the first pick. But you can also invest on both. And decide wether you wanna split it evenly or give more to xrp. Your choice man.
Goodluck
899  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins are a joke, only bitcoin matters! on: October 10, 2017, 07:29:14 PM
Guys, I own 6 different alcoins and during the dip i followed them all go down as the bitcoin was losing in value.  Then yesterday when things started stabilising they were all without any exception all rising in value as the bitcoin raised too. So if bitcoin is driving all prices up and down, what's the point of playing with altcoins if no matter what techonology they use and what team stands behind them they ll just follow the bitcoin lead? I am not sure about you but this last situation depressed me a lot, and I would love to read your opinion.

Look man, try and broaden up your mind. Alternative coins were not made to be just a mere competitor of bitcoin. Although it is good for bitcoin to have competition to make it stand out, alternative coins have a wide variety of purposes. While a bunch of them are shitcoins and scams, some really have great platforms that have great potential in helping not just the crypto world but a wide variety of things also. Read more on altcoin whitepapers man. Just try it.
900  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why people try to create their own coins? on: October 10, 2017, 07:23:10 PM
There are so many coins, but many of them just a copy of anothers. Why they waste their time for nothing? Grin

There can be a lot of reasons behind any ICO. Just like machine inventions. Some people may have built an ICO, for the purpose of helping the world. To make it better in the way that they know. While some does it to earn money for a various purposes. While others do it for greed or just scamming. While some just do it for fun.
But there really can be more reasons. The ones i have mentioned are the ones that i think are most common.
