81  Economy / Economics / Re: Putin next steps and where it may fail spectacularly on: February 27, 2022, 01:44:19 PM
Honestly, I am pretty impressed with the Ukrainian people they are evidently brave citizens. Imagine people who were out of the country even went home just to defend their country from this madness. Their president which is a comedian was offered to be escorted out of Ukraine but instead asked for ammunition and is still staying at the capital. This may have been the thing that has pushed the morale of the Ukrainian people and seeing things as they are now, I think they are considering to fighting it out to the bitter end. I hope it doesn't reach to that point though.
82  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is now a good time to be investing in Bitcoin? on: February 27, 2022, 12:50:51 PM
Actually, I am very optimistic with bitcoin right now specially the coins within the top 20. It really is a great time to stack up since the prices are still cheap compared to its potential growth on the coming years. Right now mass adoption speed is increasing very fast due to recent events and in my opinion it won't be long before we never see these prices again. But having said so, it is still pretty important to invest only amounts that you can afford to lose so you won't have to touch your investments be it in a position of losses or profits.
83  Economy / Economics / Re: Justin Trudeau's Crackdown Will Make Bitcoin and Cash More Popular on: February 26, 2022, 04:01:37 PM
With all the things that are happening with the world right now, there really is bound to be a huge number of traffic coming into this industry sooner or later since after all that has happened, most people specially those who only read about the good things related to this industry will inevitably see crypto as somewhat a saving grace. Skeptics will always be there I know but again, with the world being as it already is, pressure syncs in with the minds of people and self preservation will push a need for finding better options and that is crypto.
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I lost +$ 20k in future, advice for newbies on: February 26, 2022, 03:14:35 PM
If it makes you feel better, just think about it as an expensive learning course about this industry. Futures alone really doesn't do that much harm for newbies. What really does them harm is low self discipline and greed. I bet you were over leveraging on your trades and get easily fomoed into most of the trades that you do. We've all been there. It's just that some people learn faster or slower than the others but what matters is that the learning is there. Never give up on trading. It is a tiring and a very tedious career to take but when you finally get the hang of it it will really change you into a better person and lead you to a life that is financially stable fulfilling.

if your wife does not support you, then you're with the wrong woman, brother. Some women don't understand that changing a person to suit their wants is dumb and that anyone that gets easily swayed to give up on their dreams are not reliable partners and would guve up when things get rough in the long run. Anyway, good luck on your future endeavours, stick with what you believe in! I'm rooting for you!
85  Economy / Economics / Re: Ban Russia from SWIFT! Protect Ukrainian Sky! Send NATO to Ukraine! on: February 26, 2022, 02:27:50 PM
It's really sad seeing such a post but regardless of how anyone feels, it is real and it is happening. I do not know if you believe in religion or not but I will be praying for you and your loved ones tonight.

Now about the swift ban, it won't be as easy as saying ban it. Mutual agreement within the members are required and I don't believe that all are in favor of this there is just so much at stake with this decision. Everyone wants some benefits and Russia clearly can offer good ones and have done so all throughout the years. But let's say it does get banned from Swift there can still be quite a few options for Russia and loopholes to exploit. Not to mention that this could trigger a bigger animosity that could actually lead to a world war. Whatever the case is, I just hope that all this would be solved by peace talks soon having less damages and casualties. Stay strong op, you and your countrymen will get through this.
86  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia's Stock Market Amidst War Against Ukraine on: February 25, 2022, 04:05:34 PM
I think profit from wars and winning a war is a long debated topic.

No one really wins a war, there's tremendous loss of life on both sides, tremendous financial costs and not much to actually gain - it's why everywhere has been quite peaceful for so long.

Immediate profit for corrupt politicians, the providers of artillery and other necessities on wars does exist. On a bigger picture though; in the long run, the whole world gains nothing and instead loses a lot in an economical, infrastructural and natural resource aspect. Now for the countries, there can definitely be some gains depending on the reason why the war is being started and pushed. That is to say, if the leader is a smart individual who has devised a detailed plan beforehand and didn't just start a war because of personal reasons and ego.
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto prices are starting to strengthen again on: February 25, 2022, 03:01:56 PM
And yet after a while from your posting thime, the price dipped greatly. Just shows how much the market becomes more volatile in times of humanitarian crisis which isn't something new. But in all honesty, I expected bitcoin to go as low as reaching the 32k range though which is why I set up spot buys and a long position(with a tight stoploss) on it. I actually don't know if I should be happy or sad. But truth be told, other than those positions, I don't plan to do anything much yet before the 28th or march 1st since the current market isn't giving me much confidence and that scares me.
88  Economy / Economics / Re: Who gain's from War ? on: February 25, 2022, 02:21:07 PM
"If the war really does happen", what else do you really need aside from bombing of a nation and that nation sending bombs back? I mean missiles are fired everywhere on both sides right now, if that is not a war I do not know what is a war.

Do you really need people to fight with guns in their hands in a building or something to consider it a war? This is war, it is happening right now, and there are dozens of people died even on the first hour of it, the total will be in thousands easily. And there is no person who profits from it.

Putin is getting his own desires done, but he is not even gaining anything from it as well. Like he doesn't gain anything aside from being one thing he always wanted done, and he is 70 years old, he could do this a few more times before he dies, and that's it. In a fair election he would have been gone years ago, so it is really not that much profitable since he will rig the elections anyway so it i not about votes.

There are actually several ways to define a war and each definition depends on one's personal perspective. But yes, I agree that it is indeed already a war. It's just that I wasn't able to get a hold of a credible news source at the moment of posting that post which you have quoted. I hope you don't start a war with me over it. lol, jokes. . jokes. .

Now about you saying that no person profits from it, that my friend is something I do not agree with. I have already mentioned the ones that I think gains profit from wars. There are even several forum members that have mentioned who they think are the ones that profits from wars. Yes, on a wider perspective, the whole word loses regardless of which side dominates and wins this war but even so, you cannot deny that some don't care about it specifically those mentioned that gain profits from war(literal profits that fatten their pockets).

Now for the rest of your statements, I find it really hard to put sense into them. Well, maybe you just got carried away with your emotions or something but yes, it's just messy or unrelated with the actual topic. And another thing, Putin definitely gains something from it. He wouldn't risk his name, reputation and legacy for some nonsense which is what you seem to be implying.
89  Economy / Economics / Re: China's strategy on the Ukraine invasion war on: February 24, 2022, 01:32:38 PM
I agree with you! China is so lucky and must be very happy to see this hapoen because not only does it affects its potential enemies as you've said, it also gives china a strategic advantage through studying the moves of the parties involved which will help them create good olans ahead of time for their purposes since we all know how china wants to take over not just Taiwan but other territories as well. China may also use this opportunity to enhance its influence depending on how it would act towards these issues/scenarios that are happening. Who knows, China may even gain another ally or enemy.
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I was tempted to sell off altcoin on: February 24, 2022, 12:46:51 PM
Sad to say, just monitoring the market alone is never enough. Even when you are an expert in technical analysis, you're technical analysis won't serve any purpose when the economy is going crazy negatively or in a good way. A trader must be aware of the news even when you do not consider yourself as a trader and just a normal investor, it is your responsibility to be alert and well informed with what is happening around the world that may affect the price of the assets that you hold, be it crypto or something else. The only advice I can give you is to weigh your choices, the purpose of your fund and the credibility of the asset you hold (quality, usecases and survivability throughout the bearish times). After you have considered these, you can decide for yourself whether to cut losses or hold(DCA if possible) all throughout the entire bear season. Anyway, I hope this served as a good lesson for you and for the newbies out there. The crypto industry is not a walk in the park. It is brutal. Some here just got in after seeing the bull season so savor these lessons.
91  Economy / Economics / Re: Who gain's from War ? on: February 24, 2022, 12:14:59 PM
The ones that should be gaining the most from wars that happens or almost happens are the contractors or the sellers/providers of the weapons that are used to strengthen a countries artillery or boast their strength, next would be the raw material providers that supplies the needs of the weaponry manufacturers. Then a few goes to the necessities providers like food, hygiene stuff etc., (If the war really does happen). Then lastly, the government for all the taxes and some politicians for corruption. There can be more but these are the ones that I think really benefits wars.
92  Economy / Economics / Re: computer capable of breaking elliptical curve encryption algorithms on: February 21, 2022, 12:14:30 PM
Just your typical hearseay for traffic. Doesn't even have credible sources included in the article. Most of the cases, I would just ignore these type of articles, really not worth the headache. Specially when you don't have world changing secrets or hidden assets worth billions. Even if it is true, I reckon that the targets would be people of great significance and influence in the world. So normal people which are the majority here should be fairly safe. Smiley)
93  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin recovery agent on: February 21, 2022, 09:37:52 AM
Do you think that is possible to hire the U.S. Federal Police (FBI) to deal with a private case in which someone was left without $6300 in cryptocurrency? I'm sure they don't even blink at such things, they are only interested in cases worth millions, so the only thing the OP can hope for is that his case it is part of a big scam and that the perpetrators will one day be caught.

Which is WHY I said I highly doubt that it would be worth it (meaning not worth the effort and resources) considering the amount hr lost which is not that huge compared to the bitfinex hack and that the cost would again not be worth it (again the effort and resources needed would make recovery of the stolen bitcoins not worth it).

     - Indeed, the only thing that the op can hope for is that the scam was part of a big enough scam that can pique the interest of the authorities. Huge enough meaning bigger amounts than usual unlike the most hacking wallets that existed which the authorities didn't chase down as much as they did on the wallet containing the bitfinex assets.

     - I hope that makes it easier for you to understand now.
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some mistakes most people (especially Newbies) about coins and tokens. on: February 20, 2022, 12:59:42 PM
This is good knowledge but not something that would kill a person in this industry to not know. Great job though for pointing this out since I seem to have struggled a lot in explaining to my peers about the difference between the two when they ask me about it. Lol. Kind of embarrassing to think that I have been in this industry for quite a long time but just found out about this. Still though, I stick with the thought that this is good knowledge but not vital. Anyway, knowledge is good regardless of significance.
95  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin recovery agent on: February 20, 2022, 12:09:34 PM
Damn, so sorry for your loss fam. I wonder how you got scammed? Also, services for jobs like this should have an escrow to ensure both parties don't get scammed. As for your scammed bitcoins, I think it'll be as close to impossible to have them back unless you hire those people who caught the bitfinex hackers. Which I highly doubt would be worth it considering the amount you have lost and the cost for tracing the scammer(s). Better to just think of this as paying for a valuable lesson that you learned so it won't hurt that much or you can just try to find someone though who does some Voodoo sht if you believe in those stuff. Anyway man, don't think about it to much, no sense crying over spilled milk.
96  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation hitting a 25yr old record | Predictions for the future on: February 20, 2022, 11:37:48 AM
Times are difficult right now and will just get even worse as time goes by. This is the case regardless of where you are residing in this world. Inflation is a frightening and invincible enemy that we can never eradicate. The best thing a person could do is invest on assets that are safe from inflation or at least won't be affected that much. Crypto currencies are good along with gold, real estate and more. You get my point. The world is bound to go into oblivion, I pity the coming generations. Had the people before us cared enough, they never would've abused this world that we live in. What is left for us to di is only to slow down the process, saving the world is now kind of impossible.
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto asset prices weaken on: February 19, 2022, 11:54:21 AM
Indeed the crypto industry has been suffering for a few days now despite the fact that every February should be the best month for crypto. This is probably because of the fud going around at the moment. While there are good news, it isn't quite enough to rid the investors of the fear. Good thing though is that right now, whales are just observing like playing a game of chess which is why the Market is barely moving this weekend when it should be dumping. Anyway, this industry has already experienced times that are even worse than this in the past. This is just another phase, so just chill and enjoy the sale since it may even go lower tomorrow Smiley
98  Economy / Economics / Re: What's happening in Canada ? on: February 19, 2022, 11:21:01 AM
I'll tell you what's happening - Just a childishly egoistic leader suppressing simple protesters about COVID-19 related stuff using the banks as the way to make these poor people suffer. I don't know what is running inside this leader's head or the people around him who should be giving advices or whatsoever. This will inly turn the people of Canada against them and would only push the country into chaos. I pity the Canadians for having such a leader. On a side note, investing right now on cryptos while a good choice would he pretty difficult seeing that the banks are being strict at the moment. Lucky are those that have already planted seeds in this industry before all these stuff happened.
99  Economy / Economics / Re: Nice job Justin! on: February 19, 2022, 10:11:03 AM
~

You cannot underestimate a leader having such childish mindset. Seeing his actions, you can understand that this guy has too little to no control over his emotions. I can only imagine to what extent this kind of leader can go to just to satisfy his ego and fck with the ones opposing him. This is not just a matter of exchanges because he is complete capable of restricting freedom of his countrymen. I don't really understand what purpose his political party and advisers are.

~

I know right? These politicians spit flowers from their mouths when campaigning for their desired positions but when they get to sit on their offices after being supported by the people, they don't do their jobs well. Damn bastards. - now while I hope this crypto optimism that most of us have really does give us our freedom back, I think it'll be quite hard and if possible, would be taking a very long time. But even with that, the chances are still pretty slim.
100  Economy / Economics / Re: Nice job Justin! on: February 18, 2022, 11:08:05 AM
Man, just look at what they have done. This will certainly cause huge panic and make things chaotic within Canada. I mean if you were a citizen of that country what would you do having witnessed such news? Specially when you are aware of the crypto industry? Gosh. The real worse case would be also banning any form of crypto currency in Canada just to control the masses. This is just outrageous. Why take such measures just because of protesters? Are you a child?
