961  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IfYouCoin.Com Check how much money you would have if you invested in CryptoCoins on: September 22, 2017, 04:38:43 PM
Hi, I would like to show the community my first Blockchain-related website:

https://ifyoucoin.com

It is a tool to check how much money you would have had if you invested in Crypto-Coins at a specific date.

It is a simple idea that came to me when I realized that I always wondered why in the world didn't I get into Bitcoin, even though I knew about it quite early(2011).

And I had a lot of conversations with my friends and showed them on a laptop how much money I could have had, but I don't.
Browsing different websites, and looking at charts and prices and then opened a calculator and amaze/frustrate myself.

So maybe you want to amaze or frustrate yourself or your friends Smiley

Please let me know here what you think about the site in general and also what I could change or add or if you have questions.

I will try to answer all of you.

Thank you

Just great. Have just gotten over the regret and frustration last week that i had for ignoring bitcoins way back 2013 when i read about it in some faucet site. Thanks for this tsk :/

But hey, honestly, it really is a great idea. A lot of people would really be checking your web site out. Because humans are curious creatures. And that alone is enough reason for people to go to your site time by time. Not to mention we have an attitude that makes us want to rub to people's faces their wrong decisions in not believing us when we told them about crypto currencies.
962  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-06-10] A Conversation with Ed Moy, Chief Strategist at BitCoinIRA on: September 22, 2017, 04:30:23 PM
I just tried to open an account at BitcoinIRA.com and it did not go well.

Everything was going fine, I filled out all the paperwork, transferred my Roth IRA funds to BitcoinIRA and was waiting for the call from their trading partner, Genesis Trading, in order to by the Bitcoins for the IRA.

Instead I got a call from BitcoinIRA saying that Genesis Trading would not do the trade due to an article they found about me.

The article they found is this one:

https://coinjournal.net/burt-wagner-localbitcoins-case-shows-danger-of-overbearing-government/

It was explained to me that because they found this article they would not do the trade to purchase the Bitcoins.

I tried to explain to them that the charge was dismissed with prejudice to no avail.

So, my wife called the attorney at Genesis Trading.  The attorney at Genesis Trading told her that they have an internal policy of not doing any business with anyone who has ever done any trading at localbitcions.com!

So, just wanted to let you all know that if you have ever traded at localbitcoins you cannot get an IRA through BitcoinIRA.com

I am in the process of trying out some of their competitors.  I will update when I know more.

Wow, i cannot believe that they would actually do such a pointless thing. I mean, it's really kind of childish what they did. Their decisions are really not fair and greatly biased. I wonder if there are some more requirements that they need for anyone to be able to use their services. Im gonna watch this thread.
963  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO's killing crypto on: September 22, 2017, 04:22:41 PM
Recent news of the imminent closer of many Chinese exchanges is the direct result of them dealing in ICOs, I've been shocked for the longest time other countries have done so, allowing ICO's to fly under regulators radar, however its only just a matter of time.

Really man, you should try to look more deeper into the happenings today in the crypto world. ICOs aren't killing the crypto world. Instead, it is maming it better. It attracts more people everyday. Which is good for us who love crypto currencies. And the governments still can't do anything to pin down crypto currencies enough to make it illegal. So don't worry too much. If it happens then it happens. At least we had a great ride.
964  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What If Bitcoin is banned? on: September 22, 2017, 04:06:35 PM
That would be a bad thing for us who love and use bitcoins. Because if it gets banned, people will not want to be a part of it anymore. And most of the people will abandon it. It will be priceless and become history and a story to tell to our children. Then it will be forgotten like it never happened.
965  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Useless Alt-Coins that will be dead in 6 months to 1 year on: September 22, 2017, 08:13:45 AM
Hello Everyone,

While we all expect opinions and suggestions to know the best Alt-Coin from members, we miss to know many weak or non performing Alt-Coins. Its time we know which Alt-Coin will fail in next 6 months to 1 year. This is an attempt to keep you updated and more analytical before you invest your time and money (BTC's).
You can mention the name and any one or multiple reasons
You can define the reasons due to-
1. Dev not interested
2. Techinically weak
3. Wallet management issues
4. Spams or Ponzi
5. Lack of Community support
Or
Any other reason you feel the readers must know..

Please give unbiased and practical reasons, if possible with some proof or links Please do not spread wrong rumors in this thread.

Regards,
Safework Smiley

While i agree with your idea because it can truly help a lot of experienced and inexperienced members  of this forum, i think it is pretty hard to keep track of every coin that is useless due to their numbers. But i also think it isn't impossible only when everyone joins the cause. But then again, without payment, I don't think there'd be much that would want to help.
966  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETC price jumps today on: August 25, 2017, 06:42:17 PM
Anyone know why? Some sort of news or developments? Is this worth riding?

Every day, there is one or two coin with big price jump. The price will drop soon.
967  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What's happening? on: June 29, 2017, 06:56:05 PM
Almost every coin is up double digits. Why?

I think people are looking for bitcoin alternatives and investing in other Alts to gain benefits

After the block size is increased, the price of bitcoin will rise a lot.
968  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v12.4 (Windows/Linux) on: April 20, 2017, 02:42:24 PM
Just out of interest, what hash-rates do the 1060, 1070 and 1080 nVidia cards pull on Claymore 12.4?

nVidia is not supported.

969  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What's happening? on: March 14, 2017, 02:06:57 PM
Maybe some people expect a decrease in btc price so they tried to buy altcoins instead of staying in btc?

The transaction time for many good altcoins are much faster and the fee are much cheaper. So they are in demand.
970  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'm leaving Bitcoin on: February 25, 2017, 10:26:07 AM
Checked the original post, and found that the topic was created in 2012. This guy made a huge mistake by quitting the Bitcoin sector. Had he opted to stay put, then he might have got a 10,000% ROI on his coin holdings.

Edit: Just found out that the OP was involved in Coinjar. So despite this thread, he didn't quit the Bitcoin sector.
He probably crated this thread while he was drunk or maybe he just changed his mood because price of Bitcoin is growing day by day and he already earned a good profit on his Bitcoin or maybe he is still holding lot of Bitcoins who knows?

That is right. If he stick with the bitcoin, he will be richer.
971  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'm leaving Bitcoin on: January 04, 2017, 02:15:12 PM
Yes someday I will leave, because no one is immortal and the best, we think now is the best, but 10 years or more there must be a better replacement. just like mobile phone, vehicle, which is sure to have the time. We must ready for it.

The bitcoin can improve and it will not be replaced.
972  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v9.1 on: December 13, 2016, 11:16:59 AM
Dwarf appears to be fully functional again. Most users believe it to be better than flypool but unfortunately lost a lot of miners a few hours ago due to a web server failure
But my shares were calculated for all downtime, and my last 24hrs earnings are the same as before.
The same here. Everything recalculated and recovered.

Yep, me too. No losses due to the failure. But the pool lost some big miners and that is a shame...

I think the ZCash pool is also affected.
973  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETC speculators on: October 16, 2016, 07:49:47 AM
Buy the dip

It depends on the fact that if the ETC has long term future. If it has good community support, it is a good buy.

I think it is time for the ETC developers show the world that they are not just about revolution and stop relying of Etnereum brand, the market need something to hold on to, the price has been dropping for some time there is need to change this trend, although the developers don't have any stash of ETC like the Ethereum foundation that has alot of both ETH and ETC

The ETC does not have good developers at the moment. So the price is dropping. When it has, it might rise back.
974  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETC speculators on: October 02, 2016, 07:50:45 AM
this is a free market. if etc makes you unhappy then you're free to commit suicide, attack it, fork it, or walk away and leave it to the people who are interested in it. everyone wins.

There is right. I think there is no need to shill or troll the ETH or ETC. Just buy the one which will win in the long term.
[/quote

The question is that which one has the best future. The ETH has more support at the moment. But when it becomes PoS, it might die.
975  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETC speculators on: September 22, 2016, 06:23:15 PM
E T H has a high rate of inflation but in this debt deflation you wanted to add and keep a criminal coin Smiley

Just what are you thinking paying all these miners hard BTC while your numbered days are running out?!

Does ETC have any inflation? Is that similar to the ETH in terms of the coin issusing curve? Will that be different?
976  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1 BTC = 100.000 to 1 million is a possibility in 2035 on: September 11, 2016, 05:56:34 PM
It is very possible if,

Bitcoin still exists by then,

If bitcoin doesn't get hacked,

If there won't be a better alternative,

and that's one big IF.

I am afraid of quantum computing and they say it will be be available in 2020's. Imagine what will we have in 2035. I think bitcoin will either destroyed or transformed into something stronger by then.

There are many big IFs. If the price performance of the bitcoin is the same as in the past, the $1 million could be reached befor 2035.
977  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] Senior member for sale on: August 27, 2016, 05:16:44 PM
The sale is on.

Maybe the price is too high. You can reduce the price a bit to encourage people to buy the senior account.
978  Economy / Speculation / Re: Be sure, this will drop hard soon... and here is why... on: August 16, 2016, 08:19:59 AM

yes, you are right, yesterday when I saw the price at $516 and I found that t is because of bitfinex hack, then I thought that it will once again rise sooner and so I bought some bitcoins at that price, I was a little worried about my investment also but today when I visited to price i saw that the price is now at$536, that is a very good news for me and I earn a profit even in a bad situation for the bitcoin market

Today, the price is $570. I think there is nothing wrong with the bitcoin itself, just one exchange, so the price will rise again.
yes that is a fact and now the price of bitcoin is raising again, the bad news about the bitfinex really effect the whole market and the prices felldown too much but now the people understand the reality and now they start buying bitcoin again , and hope that the price of bitcoin is going to reach to its previous position very soon.
in fact just a little bit affect to the market, some trader has provoked on the price actual it's just a game by them for get a profit if bitfinex case really affect to the price of bitcoin why prices may recover within a few days.

The bitfinex exchange hack should have negative effect on the price. But the drop in the last few days is related to something else.
979  Economy / Speculation / Re: Be sure, this will drop hard soon... and here is why... on: August 01, 2016, 07:17:25 AM
I think the Bitcoin's price will reach the 1000$ after some weeks, it's volatile now, but for the long run i think the price will rise highly, as the halving happened.

I do not think the price will be $1000 in a few weeks. The price could be $1000 in a few months at least.

We do not want the price to rise too fast. We still remember the big pump and dump did to the bitcoin reputation.

I still remember the big dump from December 2013 until July 2015. That caused lots of trouble for bitcoin.

The big pump and dump is bad for the reputation of the crypto currency and people will not use it as a currency.
980  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price Increase Incoming. on: July 18, 2016, 03:09:33 PM
I think the price of bitcoin could rise to $900 by the end of this year. It could rise to $1500 some time next year.
