Whoever he is - I sure hope he'e encrypted and backed up his wallet.
I hope he has a backup identity and money for facial surgery... he lives in great threat now regardless if he is the real Satoshi or not.

No he doesn't this is ridiculous bullshit people saying this.

Does Bill Gates live in great threat?  How about Warren Buffet?

Dude's a billionaire so he can easily afford to move to a safe, gated community where no one will touch him.

You think you could break into Bill Gates house and torture the money out of him? I doubt he has piles of cash lying around. This guy on the other hand, is completely vulnerable to that kind of thing.

Looks like he lives in a nice suburb in California.  This isn't mexico dude.  You don't see entrepreneurs/celebritites getting kidnapped and tortured for their money.

Ridiculous bullshit saying he's in any sort of danger.

He's at risk for being mobbed by the media, supporters, groupies, but physical danger?  Nah, very unlikely.

No violent criminal is going to give a fuck about a geeky internet guy with a bunch of bitcoins.  Let alone try to kidnap and torture someone who is surrounded by cameras and witnesses.

Members of my family have been robbed by gunmen in the middle of the night in their home. That was just because someone thought there was a few thousand dollars in the house. What fairy tale land do you come from.

Thugs could easily plant a GPS device under...

Ms McGrath Goodman is overwhelmed by the doxxing backlash, did an video interview. Several reporters have noted Reddit responses, already published articles. Check them all out here http://bitjuice.com/redditors-furious-newsweek-doxxed-bitcoin-founder

When asked about the above article, this blonde reporter was clueless as to what doxxed meant. Seriously!

Very nice neighborhood! The house and lot is appraised at...wait for it...~$100K USD. The home I live in, build in the late 1800's is worth more than his house. I was surprised to learn such, given he's just south of Pasadena, let alone California. He's taxes are only about a grand, whereas here it's 4-5 grand.

It's obvious it is not him. Notice the no-caps ffs, among other things.

Or he is the greatest troll ever...

While I'm on a weird kick, looks like this Satoshi Nakamoto does have a command of the English language.

It's absolutely riddled with errors.

I guess you're right, but it's a lot better than what I have been seeing. BTW, Tribbles probably isn't SN: http://www.inthe00s.com/index.php?topic=35356.0, albeit it was weird that it was his train image that made the cut on the exact day the first block was mined. On top of that, by a Trekkie.
3048  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: **Breaking news** Satoshi Nakamotos identity revealed on: March 07, 2014, 07:18:48 AM
You guys ready for something really weird?

Not sure if it been mentioned anywhere else, but I doubt it since I found it via Google and should have seen such due to the limited search results of the term I used.

http://elizabethtploshay.com/the-genesis-block-time-stamp/

Quote
“The Times 03/Jan/2009 Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks,” serves as Satoshi’s choice to time stamp for the block chain as basic proof that he could not have made the first block before January 3, 2009.

I have a tread on this forum entitled: Let's Count to 21 Million with Images: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=77535.0 It was created due to inspirations of other threads on other forums, like the following:

http://www.inthe00s.com/archive/boardgames/smf/1190127721.shtml

I would love to discover how the two timestamps correlate.

Someone didn't quite seat or took off the derail plate from the rail top completely. Bad practice. If the switch is at fault, need be notified immediately to the MOW crew. This photo was taken from on-line, I didn't take the photo. And, the flag should be installed at this condition!!!
3049  Other / Off-topic / Re: Marc Andreessen doesn't hold more than one satoshi of Bitcoin. on: March 07, 2014, 06:56:54 AM
I don't think they meant that literally. Maybe he doesn't own anything of his own,but he's investing a lot in other startups that do business in BTC.

I assumed that, bud. Thanks, anyway.

Satoshi wants his free lunch!!! GIVE HIM THE LUNCH IDIOTIC JOURNOS!

I think this is the same guy like in the pic of the article. I think, no, he is not our Nakamoto!

He's worked at a very high level, for very highly sophisticated organizations.

I guess 344 miles is too much of a distance for a model train.

OK so #nakamoto DENIES being the the creator of #bitcoin. Yes, DENIED.

I deny being JoeBelBruno.

PS: I learnt about this dude earlier today.

Check the video where he denies involvement and looks for a reporter to be taken to sushi, looking at the look of his face I wouldn't be surprised himself and his family just pulled a prank on the newsweek journalist...

http://instagram.com/p/lNv9-_QaNF/

He just wants "free lunch" Cheesy

WTF! I was hunting "free lunch" in Satoshi's posts for a humor post, and found something amazing. Not going to quote it, but it led me to this link (no about Satoshi, but some other).

What's this dude doing in Houston? I always that he was elsewhere.
3055  Economy / Services / Re: [Escrow Service] Honeypot's Escrow Service (HES) on: March 07, 2014, 05:35:29 AM
Beware of this scammer. Do not use escrow service some someone thats trolling and name calling other members on the forum.

I dare him even post his real info on here.

HAHAHA christ you people are pathetic. Another one crawls into one of my threads and try to slander my name when you just can't take being pointed out some obvious facts.

Thank you, but let's give it a good 10 days for people to laugh at you until your post is reported for irrelevance and painfully obvious asspain Smiley

Kids these days....all mouth and no back bone. Didn't even try to check my posting history to find me lol

Kids, is right, Honeypot. I can't believe he's trying to start an escrow service, especially given the following, the dude's first post. You and I, Honeypot, should teach this pathetic kid a lesson. I'm not sure about you, Honeypot, but this kid can't be trusted.

Same here, new to the digital currency scene. Trying to get my feet wet my mining litecoin with GUI miner on my Nvidia GTX 470 Sad

Unfortunately, it seems I need to know how exactly to work the GUIminer before doing any mining, since I always get hung on the connection stage. I can't find my GPU on the Default GPU drop down menu-just a bunch of AMD cards. I need to understand how to exactly input the URL (WHAT FUCKING PART TO CUT OUT?) and username/password (apparently different from ones you use to long into pools), ports, etc.

Essentially, I can't figure out how to connect to pools properly or use GUI miner properly.

Help Sad

The story seems legit. Seems like an interesting guy.  What I really want to know though is what his Bitcointalk user name is though.   Grin

Then again, I guess he should still have some privacy.  He needs to cash out some coins and find someplace to move to that is more remote if he wants to keep his privacy.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3

I heard rumors that he has logged in with a different username since 2010.

I heard the same rumors. Something about organizing a group buy for a model train station.
3057  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: **Breaking news** Satoshi Nakamotos identity revealed on: March 07, 2014, 05:15:07 AM
I feel for him, being such an intensely private person this is probably the last thing he ever wanted to have happen. His life as he knows it is over.

He is going to have to move, he will need security now, even his family might need security. Im sure the Feds will want to talk with him. Hopefully they protect him as well.

I dont doubt the reporting. Everything makes sense.

At first, I, too, that it'll be good idea to move, but now there's a problem. It's his mother's house, not his. Try telling/convincing your 94 year mother, if you have/had one that she now has to move. It took everything my dad could muster up to convince his mother, my grandmother, to move when she was only in her 60's and had control of most of her senses.

If it was just him, a deal could've been struck regardless if he was/is the real Satoshi Nakamoto or not. Not now, especially since she's been in that same home since '59, a year before I was born.

I would suggest that no one buy or subscribe to Newsweek, and cancel if you already have a membership.
---snip---

And definitely do not buy any of those highly priced printed magazines that I believe are being printed this Friday.

and now she is getting her own interview!
http://www.newsweek.com/journalist-behind-bitcoin-story-speaks-out-231170

no spines.....

WOW! She didn't even know what dox meant. How can a reporter not be familiar with this term? Granted, I learnt about it via this very forum, but a seasoned reporter being clueless? Odd!
