^  What's the line on Topuria?  If it's anything crazy like 3.50 then you're like forced to bet on him because it's starting to go into price that's going to be +EV.  Even if you lose, if the opportunity comes up again, the right move is to make the bet.  :/
Do you mean odds? I just checked odds on flashscore and the history of odds look like this:
Previous odds: Volkanovski - 1.53 || Topuria - 2.63
Current odds: Volkanovski - 1.91 || Topuria 1.91

It seems, bookmakers keen towards Topuria. I look at the comments and Topuria had higher odds, I think 1.91 will be the final odd or if they increase Volk's odds and decrease Topuria's odds, that will be a huge mental shock for Volk. It probably already is when it moves from 1.53 to 1.91 and you are getting anticipated. Many people even compare this fight to Aldo - McGregor.

I don't think it's the book makers who are moving this line.  From the odds history you have there, the books opened it at 1.53...  Meaning they favor Volk.  What moved the line could be sharp money thinking that Topuria at 2.63 could be value or maybe Volk isn't fully healthy rn.  But yeah, it's weird.  Best way to know is to check Volk's Insta and see what he's up to.  :/

...  Just checked and it looks like he's ok.  He's training and promoting some stuff.  Still a weird line movement tho.

^  Lmao.  I do the same.  All free bets go to long shot parlays.  I don't think I withdrew any winnings from free bet parlays like ever.

^  You're knee deep into football rn...  That's good to see.  Wink  I have been lazy about for a couple of years now.  The UFC and now this new airdrop meta going on in these new protocols being developed have caught my degenerate tendencies.  Cheesy  It's actually more fun than trading imho.

Anyway for this weekend's Majestic 7, my picks are Haaland, Solanke, Son, Wilson, Saka, Watkins and Ayew.  The common picks and it needs all the matches to come together to hit.
Not into football general, football Premier League Smiley Don't have enough time to cover everything I would like to.

Some picks I like but, Son is risky for me (just back from Asian Cup) as is Ayew. Not sure who I will pick tomorrow in those games. Probably Richarlison and someone from Chelsea.

As I haven't really been looking too deeply into the situation, I just checked which players at the front lines of each club were injured and proceeded to click randomly on who could most likely score a goal judging from what I've seen of them from the past.  Cheesy Cheesy

Got the Haaland one right tho.  So it's just 6 more picks to go.  Grin

...Aaanyway check out DYM.  All the guys who missed out on TIA are all into DYM and they're not selling.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

I received an airdrop from Dimension for six wallets, sold four, and placed two in the Keplr and ValiDAO pools, as you recommended) But now I understand that it was the wrong decision to sell the DYM on listing, although I was satisfied with the amount of profit. The only thing that I think is bad is that the DYM unlock lasts for 21 days.

Yup, why sell if you really don't need to?  Just stake them all as Dymension looks like to be a solid new chain for settlement, like how Celestia is for data availability.  But here's the thing, let's find the next project in the modular chain meta that will airdrop.  It's most likely that the guys who missed out on TIA and DYM would really get into the next thing in the modular meta.  Wink

So yeah..  If you guys have any suggestions, drop them itt.  Smiley

As for me staked my DYM airdrop and bought more to stake.  Same thing with TIA, same with PYTH.  I also stopped farming for points in Solana.  Seems over farmed now.  Will focus on testnets, Galxe and maybe running incentivized testnet nodes.
324  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for February on: February 09, 2024, 12:41:05 PM
Wtf is going on guys??  47k and it looks like it's just getting started.  Lolol.  So ...  For those guys who voted 'no', do you still think it's going down by the end of the month or is it still early to tell if BTC is really ending in the green at end of Feb?

I'm having a fomo vibe going on right now.  Cheesy Cheesy  But yeah, I have some BTC but not much.  Most of I'm holding now are staked in DYM and TIA...  Have some PYTH staked too.  It's a play for the rollapp meta which could earn airdrops for the stakers.  Hopefully stakers get a little bread and eat well this year.  Grin

^  Yeah maybe...  We'll see.  It's just we've been having lines of Volk at around 1.50 or lower in all of his championship matches at 145.  What changed?  Is it because he lost vs Makhachev on a few days short notice?

And I would've loved to see more of Topuria in the cage.  Like another 5 rounder vs a tougher opponent than Josh Emmett.  Dunno...  But it's going to be a good fight for sure.

Withdrawal will open at 2024-02-07 15:00 (UTC).

And a good place to stake DYM is at ValiDAO.  Their giving VDO rewards to the people who stake with them.  They're also setting themselves to be something in support of decentralized staking infra, hence the rewards.  Let's see how it goes.

I already staked portion of mine with another one and was planning to sell rest but figured, now I'm gonna stake'em all for potential airdrops (staked rest with Validao).

Anyway...  What do you guys think of Hyperlane?  Seems like some folks are saying it's the next big thing in interoperatibility after Layer Zero and Wormhole.

Idk what's it, they have bridge listed in their Twitter pinned, are we supposed to use that?

Yeah, it's ValiDAO and the Humble Farmer x the DeFi calculator guy for me.  Those guys are two of the realest people I've ever encountered at CT.  Always ready to help when you have questions.

As for Hyperlane...  Maybe?  Still haven't made a deep dive into it yet.  I prolly should be doing it now as time is of the essence with these things.

Wormhole has published tokenomics on his blog, according to which 17% of tokens (Ticker:W) will be allocated to the community - https://wormhole.com/wormhole-w-tokenomics. There they also said that the snapshot has already been completed, but they did not specify the exact date of the snapshot. This will be a large airdrop, given that the number of active wallets that have completed at least one transaction is only 90 thousand.

Oof that was quick...  :/  I think I made just a tad over 1k USD of transaction volume as I have started out with some Solana stuff for just a couple of weeks.  Let's see if I get lucky.  Lol.

Aaanyway check out DYM.  All the guys who missed out on TIA are all into DYM and they're not selling.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Cristian Horner is a great team principal but it is not what is lacking at Ferrari during this time, what is lacking is a true aerodynamics engineer like Newey who happens to be already at Redbull.I also hope Horner joins Ferrari in 2025 as we want to see some competition yet I highly doubt that Redbull dominance will go away that fast, not at least until 2026 where the regulations will change.

Lol don't think so.  They had one of the best CTO's in F1 in Binotto but what they lacked was good leadership and a good strategist.  Horner could bring it and if Newey tags along with him and with Hamilton now with the team..?  Omg, they def will win titles and I'm here for it.  It's been a while since that first Verstappen win.  I want to see some excitement back in F1 again.  Grin

And is it just me or is it really in the realms of possbility that Vettel will be Red Bull's next team principal?  There were some signs he was going to be while he was driving for them.  He was always known to be in the garage with the engineers or with Horner trying to learn more about the ins and outs of the team.

Per Unibet:
Volkanovski: 1.79
Topuria: 2.02

Pretty far from 3.5  Undecided
I rarely bet nowadays but if it goes above 2.5 for Ilia, I probably will throw some quids on him. He's got what it takes to beat Volk, both in terms of physical abilities and mentality.

So what is the recent news re UFC 300? Google search is showing some weird things for Gaethje Vs Holloway. It's not clear if the fight is confirmed or canceled.
I must be quite behind as I had no clue they were matched against eachother

Yup I took a peek a couple of hours ago...  And I really think those odds are pretty good for Volk.  The books could be putting too much weight on his last loss vs Makhachev which Volk took on short notice hence saving the event.  Volk during interviews also seemed to give hints that he got paid well for it, saying that he has now enough to take care of his daughter and setting her up for life.

Now that he got that out of the way, he'll prolly now focus on himself and focus on retiring as one of the best 145 champions in history.

As for Gaethje vs Holloway, afaik it's still on.  Check Tapology.

Earthquake in RBR, it looks it is something related to porn images.

It is also rumored that Adrian Newey has a release clause now if Horner will be sacked.

Porn images?  Lmaooo.  You sure that isn't just lost in translation?  Cheesy Cheesy

This is what might really be going on.  And you know what, I think this sht is already known behind the scenes and that Horner already knows he's going to leave Red Bull at the end of the season.  And do you know who also might have heard about this?  Yep...  It could be Lewis Hamilton.  He prolly knows Horner's next destination in Ferrari.  Wink  They did made an attempt to hire him before but was rejected.  This time Horner is free to join.  What a season 2025 would be if it happens...

Hmmm...  So Solana is down again, like 'again' from a couple of years ago when the chain got stuck.  Well it's happening again.  :/  And I got open perp positions in Drift that are losing and going below their stop losses.  This sucks.  I think I'm gonna close my lending and borrowing positions from Kamino, close all perp trades at Drift and pill liq from Meteora.  This chain will get stuck again, I sht you not.  And it's going to he during a full blown bull market with more users getting their money stuck.

Anyway, DYM is gonna start trading in a couple of hours...  Stay safe out there.
334  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: February 06, 2024, 12:46:25 PM
Here's the thing.  F1 teams not only acquire drivers just to drive.  They acquire them also for their experience and by giving their inputs to the team's engineers in how to tweak and set up the car.  Vettel's position in Aston Martin was something like it imo.

And at over 40, Hamilton's reflexes are still sharp.  So with a decent car, he still could win races at any given weekend.  It's not like Raikonnen in that last season he retired when you could see there were a few times he could've caused a crash as it was starting to look like he was losing his reflexes as an F1 driver.

Of course, a driver also has to be strong in terms of development. Michael Schumacher, for example, was one such driver who helped build up a team over the years, as he did at Ferrari and Mercedes.

Hamilton's reflexes will also fade, but he's still fully motivated. In Räikkönen's case, I don't think it was just only his reflexes, but he wasn't fully focussed and was depressed because of the bad car.

Yeah, cos you were saying you didn't understand Ferrari's move because Hamilton is 'old'.  It totally makes a lot of sense as they're team has been sucking for the past what...?  The past decade?  Acquiring Hamilton's services and what he could give to the team would be very invaluable.  It's a good move imho.  And he's gonna give the team some grit on the grid.  He could prolly teach LecLerc a thing or two to win vs Verstappen.  Wink

As for his reflexes, they aren't fading fading yet.  He could be like a Messi or a Ronaldo...  Both ageless wonders.
335  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: February 06, 2024, 12:31:02 PM
Here are a couple of vids to watch by the fighters involved in the main event.

UFC Free Fight:  Hermansson vs Leites
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_HNPT1Ev2kQ

UFC Free Fight:  Pyfer vs Amedovski
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=54871YR2RWk

It's really hard to go with Pyfer at where the price tag for him is currently lined.  I mean at 1.41?  Who has he fought to deserve that?  Hermansson on the other hand has fought all the best guys and there is no shame in losing vs some of them.  If this is a close fight then it shows that he doesn't deserve to be priced at 1.41.  And his next fight against someone above Hermansson in the rankings is a fade esp if he's lined as a favorite.

And...  LOL_DANA_WHITE.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy  Busted.  It is expected of him tho, but still embarassing.

^  Too late.  :/  I've already made the loan from Kamino using Pyth as my collateral and bought 20 TIA.  Lol.  I will start paying for the loan once the ATOM and OSMO have fully unstaked.

But you're right, I might regret the decision...  But then again I need to streamline my airdrop activities.  I'm spreading my money too thin by putting them in a lot of different places.  :/
337  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: February 05, 2024, 12:56:39 PM
^  Yup Hamilton def knows something.  And you know what, I don't think it's just about the major regulation change.  I think at 2026 we'll be seeing a new team principal come in.  Whoever that may be is anybody's guess.  :/  coinlocket$ knows more about the ins and the outs at Ferrari, so he prolly has more of an idea.

As for Mercedes, is Mick Shumacher ready to drive an F1 car?  He could be Hamilton's replacement if he is.  Vettel was pushing for the guy to be his replacement at Aston Martin, I guess he's suggesting the same at Mercedes since he and Toto Wolf talk at a regular basis..?
338  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: February 05, 2024, 12:50:09 PM
Great job for Moicano but it was a close match and he is looking slow what controlled the fight was his takedown and control with those clinches, while Drew Dober is great with the stand-up he was not wise when it comes to the ground fight and Renato Moicano have gotten him with the ground and pound, 2 near submission attempts but for sure Dober just manage to get out from those, but because of those wrestling game Renato Moicano had the edge in this fight but his performance is not a title contender one so if he would fight for the Belt he will likely lose,

That was a truly great fight, both of them put on a good show and did not disappoint.
Drew looked better in the stand-up but he also has a solid wrestling background, so wasn't too afraid of them. Unluckily for him, Moicano turned out to be even better on the ground and snatched the victory by decision.
Both are unlucky to be fighting in the Lightweight, which is currently the best weight-class packed with stars. If not for that, they would be ranked much higher than they are right now. I hope Dober doesn't lose his 15th spot in the ranking.

Official highlights: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VMq43zcAFd8

I don't think Moicano will lose his spot at top 15 since Moicano is ranked higher than him..?  Not sure if that's exactly the case but yeah...  I had Dober but he wasn't able to get one sold shot to Moicano's chin.  Dunno..  But I felt like he was gonna get KO'd like how Fiziev did.

As for the main event, it was lackluster.  I expected more from Dolidze.

Anyway, what do you guys think of next weekend's main event?  At first glance I'm kinda liking Hermansson here at the current line.

^  Respect the grind...  Wink  Love seeing it.

Lol thank you but I just go through my Twitter/Discord/Telegram channels and post relevant stuff here.

Quote
What do you guys think of the 35 TIA minimum for Alt Layer?  Should be start staking 50 TIA to get in these airdrops before the price blows up above 50 or something?  I need 20 more TIA and it's a tad under 400 bucks which is still kinda affordable.  At 50 USD per TIA that's like a thousand bucks and I don't think I'll shell out that kind of money for it.  That money is better used somewhere else imho.  Would rather go for DYM or buy more PYTH which is trending up btw...

Dunno, I was regretting my $2 $TIA sell and Dymension rewarding $1 $TIA stakers made me buy back 10 $TIA, and stake it, now whatever comes..comes, I don't wanna chase further. Whatever you do, there is huge unlock coming for $TIA (https://token.unlocks.app/celestia), you may want to dump before it.

^  Yeah...  I got 30 TIA staked rn.  But I feel like I need more, at least 50 staked.  I just unstaked my ATOM and OSMO to sell then buy more TIA with them.  I will stream line my airdrop activites to just a few good ones and quit chasing the ones like Kroma.  Lol.

So I guess, I'll be going for TIA staking, Layer Zero, Wormhole, DYM staking and I have an idea for a small JUP - JLP farm when staking opens for Jupiter which involves lending JLP.

JLP looks like it's just gonna keep going up in both up or down markets.  Check it out.  The problem is tho, the lending protocols have their JLP vaults full.  :/
