I guess I want the uniqueness of Getgems to be appreciated, I mean Telegram itself is quite a standard app, good but no major innovation...its what you guys have made of it that's so interesting. Just don't want anyone saying oh that's just some Telegram clone.


I feel refreshed and fully onboard again Daniel now I see the download situation is more positive than I thought, its all about downloads IMO, but I still cant put the app on my crappy S2.....so never joined testing ;(    I'll buy a new phone or use my wife's I guess when the airdrop starts.

You know none of what concerns you matters. I personally believe much of getgems is highly innovative but even so the whole point is about getting bitcoin into the mainstream by a backdoor. The fact is no bitcoin app will get the mainstream to download in the millions, this is a way to tap into the popularity of messaging and social media to educate a whole new generation by stealth.  The fact is if this app gets users then its simple supply and demand and all sign are pointing to the likelyhood we are going to get the chat app numbers that many chat apps do....I'm talking a million plus.

So when you get that Bitcoin only has a few million users then you don't need to be a math genius to work it out. And no this is not a pump its actually believe it or not a combination of being evangelical about good news in Crypto and the fact I have betted heavily on its success but just as much to give others a chance to ride the wave up in the crypto community....my point is this rocket is going to leave earth with or without you. Sadly most will be trying to debunk what I'm saying rather than getting a head start on the mainstream.....but hey you can lead a donkey to water but you can't make it drink.


Sadly the more I try to help the more its deemed suspicious. Do we really have a crypto community on the same side or do we just have a bunch suspicious scam artists with knives at each others necks? Don't reply I think I know the answer...

You see there are tons of messenger apps that I bet most have never even heard of but they still get 1-10m users, (most take a few years to mature and get these numbers).....So when you combine those kind of numbers with a finite amount of coins then guess what happens?

No you're wrong I 'wanted' the community to arrange an audit of the code for MY sake and YOUR sake. Now thankfully I sold when I realised the community have their head in the sand. Maybe I'll buy in later when you have hit rock bottom, but i would personally buy cautiously. This community is gonna find out the hard way the best tech doesn't win but the most popular tech wins. Popularity needs people....

You know what I dislike the most about BTT is that everyone has to assume everyone is on the scam....and I don't blame them cause so many people are here. BUT some of us aren't, we are just talking striaght without self censorship. My point was about suggesting there was some kind of positive price movements going on, having floors etc....I've actually heard these kinds of posts for a few months now all the way down to where we are now. My point was this community has no real leg to stand on talking about positive movements as it has as a community ignored my warnings that it is potentially killing a great coin.

So my comments were what they were. I came into the coin looking for something worth investing in.....and it is.....but the the price is so far from what the tech deserves then the only criticism has to go to the the communities stubborn behaviour. Whether you guys like it or not the gulag of the crypto community is the gatekeeper to wider mainstream. If they decide your a scam and wont touch you and you don't convince them otherwise then any dreams of leapfrogging them to the mainstream is delusional. Wise up...

Yeah I don't really get it cause i was using google play downloads as a gauge for how well getgems was doing. And to think so much trouble was made to get the Android version going to the point we dropped using the original code iOS version. People will have different opinions but I hope at a later point we separate ourselves from Telegram...if that's possible I dunno. 

The time for suggesting there is a floor is over. The price now is a disgrace to the community if you guys actually had any shame. Way to go to kill a great tech. Slow hand clap.

im more excited about the downloads honestly. 1600 a week is awesome.....I followed a lot of chat apps and 90% don't get past 50,000. Seems like Getgems will quite easily at this rate and then I see it like snowball gathering speed as it rolls down hill.

This thursday, but to be honest they already have won in my opinion, and will get 250,000 dollars even if they aren't in top 3. Any group that can throw 5million dollars around as prizes must be quite powerful. I'm actually more excited about the news articles that will get written based on the fact it was a finalist....and a win definitely will make it high profile, Bloomberg, CNBC level even.

What I find amazing with that competition is there were 11,000 registrations. Just think about that for a moment, its crazy, you just cant FUD a coin that achieves that.


Plus good or bad these are establishment players, looking at what Getgems will get apart from money is gonna open doors and media for sure and have some real money players probably try to get in on it.

Like I said I was surprised at how many it was getting. Android wise its been a little lacklustre for some reason. But with these kind of numbers growing even though there has been zero marketing or airdrop to me tells me the app is going to be a massive success.

Just say it kept this up and calc very conservatively even though numbers tend to snowball. We would have at minimum 50,000 downloads in around 6 months, probably a lot more...and that just the iOS. So I see critical mass happening for the app that can tip it into 100,000....500,000 and then 1m then skies the limit territory.

Plus they are about to win 250,000-1,000,000 dollars in prize money that will be a great war chest for marketing and development. I started to lose faith but Im confident this app is on track to be massive now. 

those are pretty great numbers I had no idea we were getting those kind of downloads. What is total iOS downloads?

I assumed downloads were stagnant as Android has yet to get past 10,000 downloads, so over 1,500 iOS in a week is kind of crazy.

I do get ideally you want to have everything in place first. I just think of it in terms of stages, I mean FB when first out is almost completely different than it is now, you could say the same for many innovations, look at Google, it was a simple looking search only now it practically does everything. So I don't see the issue with doing things in stages. the airdrop, and already to be honest the payouts of 1 gems daily etc already have in place the concept of an app that pays users which in my mind is the big selling point.



in the end the team will have to make the decisions and I hope all things turn out well. I'm hoping that the seed capital also came with a lot of seasoned advice so whatever they think is the best way to go...I mean no one knows for sure what is the best way to do things, hindsight is also easy.


My big thing is I'm impatient for a stating gun on Getgems. I know there have been sort of starts with rewards and store up and running but even the team have said the marketing won't happen till after the app is polished so it's a feeling of limbo....
