So does anybody have any insight into the apple app approval process? I have read it takes them on average 6 days to review new apps (as opposed to google takes on average 2 hours!) Now getgems might be different because it involves money and I think anything bitcoin seems to be heavily scrutinized by apple.
Basically what you said, a Bitcoin app I bet takes longer cause it probably gets passed on from basic checking to more detailed. Its more like 8 days though and that's an average so I guess anyday now if there are no problems. http://appreviewtimes.com |

This is a cut and paste of a message I sent to the NEM admin team. Hi, I just wanted to tell you what happened, I won't beg but please read what I say. I Lost my secret key and account details a moth or so ago and you gave me another one. Unfortunatly a few days before launch my laptop which AlI had the secret key stored on for no reason decided to crash and said I had to put a Windows OS disc into the drive to recover. I live as an expat in Asia, there is no easy way for me to get windows on Disc without a lot of hassle plus I have to use my computer for preparing material for teaching. So I did a system reset which have me no option to recover files, just a complete restore. So I feel pretty annoyed. Thing is I followed this coin from way back at the beggining in fact that's why my name is nextgencoin because I was active with NXT and then followed NEM. So after over a year a few days before I get my coins my laptop does this. I can't help feel unlucky. So my point is I genuinely believe I deserve to get a stake from the large amount of coins held by the NEM team and as more stakeholders the better I felt it was a just thing to ask for one. It's up to you and your team if I get one. Here is my locked account.  The NEM admin I guess quite fairly said they can't do that behind the back of the community. But they also said I should ask The community IF I deserve a stake. I guess it's up to feedback on here now. I won't beg I just think it's fair. |

Update: I got a bit adventurous and deiced to make this watch only address. So basically it let me input my gems app actual address and label it as my gems wallet. All seems ok and it shows it as a watching wallet. BUT it said as it created it that the address is ALREADY in my wallet so I'm now wondering if there was another way to reveal it?
Great idea - anyone can add their off-chain address as a watch only address in counterwallet. [The message "address is already in your wallet" pops up with any address you will input - counterparty devs said its a bug which will be fixed] Watch-Only Rocks - The watch only address doesn't update after GEMS are send to other users.. Wallet balance is now 20 GEMS while the CounterParty watch-only address is still at my starting balance 57 (about an hour has past since the first transfer). And will there be support for CounterParty Multi-Sig addresses for storage of larger amounts of GEMS Yeah its a shame the watch address seems not to update, plus it makes me wonder what the point of it is in the counterparty wallet. I guess as Daniel said we have to think of the app as literally our wallet full of cash. Would be great however in the future if we could have some representation of our wallet in counterparty or somewhere. |

Great update guys!  Would it be possible to add a 'call Getgems contact' option and calling over the Telegram network? Since Whatsapp added this function today (quite a timing btw), it would be nice to offer such a killer solution as well, besides the well known crypto and attention reward features it already boasts. I already feel the arguments of Whatsapp lovers coming: "but hey, Whatsapp just added a call option, Getgems does not have that, I stick with Whatsapp!" We agree with you, including VOIP in the app is becoming a must have. We already started exploring the different possibilities of adding this feature. Excellent. |

Important:
If you have previously used the NEM software (0.5.19 or lower), you need to ensure that the old software and any old NEM user data has been removed from your computer before installing the live net software. Otherwise it may cause problems for you if old data is picked up by the new software.
For those who have used the installer version:
1) Please go to control panel and then go to "Programs" > "Programs and Features" and then select NEM which should be in the list. This should remove the NEM software. With Windows Vista/7, you will find the uninstallation option by going to "control panel" and then "Programs and Features".
2) Once you have done this, please go to "c:\Users\<YourUserName>\" and delete the "NEM" folder that you should see.
For those who have used the standalone version:
1) If you have been using standalone, just delete the "package" folder. Only you will know what location that is in.
2) Once you have done this, please go to "c:\Users\<YourUserName>\" and delete the "NEM" folder that you should see.
If any one has any issues in removing the NEM software, please do not hesitate to contact a member of the team via private mail or post your queries at forum.ournem.com.

Sooooo I luckily just before distribution after following this coin for over a year my computer crashes due to some freak windows issue and I lost my private keys. I guess the NEM train is over for me.

FB Messenger is another option we are testing for inviting friends to the app. Ah ok got it, it threw me as it sent me to download Messenger so it got me assuming it was an alert for Messenger. Daniel did you see what I wrote about about making a watching address a few posts up? |

So I logged onto Counterparty to send a small amount of coins to my app wallet but it brought up a question.
Ok I can send to my app wallet but surely I need or at least will want to see my gems wallet account showing in counterparty. How can I put my app wallet as one of my wallet showing in counterparty?
You are able so see how many Gemz you sent to your off-chain address using blockscan or coindaddyI don't need to see the transaction I want the Gems offline wallet to show so I can see the balance. Can I not do this now. I think you can check the off-chain balance only from the app. See previous posts about on-chain and off-chain I kind of feared that would be the case. Shame as it would be good to see the wallet within counterparty even if it was just a mirror of your app wallet you couldn't actually send from. I didnt really follow the whole off/on chain conversation on this thread. So if you have a large amount of Gems what is the best thing to do? What are the negatives about having coins on the off chain wallet? Same level of security? Do we need to be on the offchain wallet to gain airdrop coins?
GEMZ on-chain will always be more secured than GEMZ off-chain. Users with large amounts of GEMZ shouldn't hold all of their GEMZ off-chain for security purposes. In order to accommodate these users, we plan to add a feature that allows connecting other wallet addresses to your username in order to influence airdrop calculations. Each existing address would be able to be connected to a single GetGems username, so only a single account will be able to receive credit for the contents of this wallet. These wallet addresses will not be used when sending/receiving GEMZ, only for airdrop calculations. We are also thinking of other possible methods to achieve this in the most efficient and user friendly way. We recommend to look at the mobile wallet the same way you look at your physical pocket wallet. Your pocket wallet is different than your bank account. You will usually hold day-to-day spending money in your wallet, but keep the bulk of your savings in your bank account. The recommended practice is to keep a relative low number of GEMZ in your mobile wallet, and use if for sending to friends. If you own a significant amount of GEMZ, it’s a good idea to hold it in a different wallet which is harder to access and easier to secure. Thankyou Daniel. Ok I think I got it then. So until this added feature you mention, coins held in a safer on line wallet actually wont be counted toward the airdrop, right? |

Somone dumping again on Polinex, clearly one person trying to drag the price down or just the worst investor in Crypto. The fact is it's still only a handful of Bitcoin, drop in the ocean. I hope their efforts lead to nothing.
Sorry to say this but Polinex in my mind has always been about hardcore traders chasing and creating pumps and dumps, so not surprised it's happening there. The guys who hang there will buy Tittie coin if they can make a few Satoshi's, the latest pump there is clearly Monero.
wtf, which retarded fool does that now? It seems like a clear manipulation to me, no one selling needs to dump in a few minutes unless they are trying to push the price down. Assuming they aren't stupid I assume they are wanting to now accumulate at a cheaper price, which seems unlikely at this point. |
