1321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Altcoin community should embrace this before it goes mainstream. on: January 20, 2015, 02:54:36 AM
People were saying and hyping this already for 4 months and nothing happened.

Which had been good for cultivating patience. Tongue

[ Seriously: GEMZ is a real gem, but it's going to take patience. Luckily, the altcoin bear market has done its part to tone down the freneticism 'round here.]

The alt development pace can mean good coins are superseded by something better very fast. I hope something does not usurp GEMZ while we are waiting.

I don't see anything on the horizon. The only extant competitor to GetGems is Nxtty, and it's not going anywhere at the moment. Getting a new system that's comparable to GetGems Messenger would take months: that's how long it took GetGems itself to get rolling.

But that said, the play for a gamblin' guy would be to pick up some Nxttycoin on the off chance that Nxtty will take off. Nxttycoins are really cheap now.

Nxtty is no competition for Gems. What Gems has going for it that any other messenger app like SENDIT for new users is the airdrop based on how many people you refer and your daily usage etc. That's a massive motivation for people to invite others. It will go viral very quickly once airdrop and IOS is in place. I don't expect these to take more than a month or two at most cause they sorted the Android version out in a few weeks.
1322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: RiceCoin Celebrating a love of Uncle Bens amazing rice action || Bounties on: January 20, 2015, 02:25:13 AM
By most people's rules on here of what constitutes a scam this not being POS or IPO and having the innovation of Rice is a good coin. Sigh.

All the sad old miners coming out of their 2012 ghettos is just too much to bear.
1323  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin Will End the Nation State on: January 19, 2015, 07:33:44 PM
Still not realistic that Bitcoin will eliminate the nation state. The infrastructure required for the function of Bitcoin is all controlled by individual nation states. Internet, security, and taxation. All of which can be used against the proliferation of Bitcoin.

Yes but at some point down the road some people will speak out that Bitcoin is good for the people and then a governmnt won't be able to deny it. I can't see how Bitcoin can't advance over time even if it's one step forwards two steps back most of the time, it can't be stopped. Plus it will show up what fiat really is in time, fiats collapse, we know that from history, so it's just a matter of time.

The biggest threat to Bitcoin is a governmnt developed crypto like Ethereum or something similar. And I worry the sheeple will accept it as Bitcoin.
1324  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin revealed: a Ponzi scheme for redistributing wealth - Washington Post on: January 19, 2015, 07:27:37 PM
Has there ever been a new technology that has got constant orchestrated battering from the bought and paid for MSM? Probably not which is why we should realise we are on to something that threatens a lot of people in power. Nice.
1325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Altcoin community should embrace this before it goes mainstream. on: January 19, 2015, 07:21:13 PM
Well it's high number of downloads over so slow period of time but this isn't going to make altcoins mainstream, maybe the GEMZ one, maybe.

Sorry? What?
1326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - "Currency of Child Molesters" on: January 19, 2015, 07:18:08 PM
Wow this is a low blow from those who oppose Bitcoin. They must be getting a bit worried. Smiley
1327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][GEMZ]| SOCIAL MESSAGING APP THAT PAYS | Android App Released | on: January 19, 2015, 01:05:48 PM
We should just consider this time before everything is perfect to be beta testing. We all know that the app market is highly competitive so now might be a good time to talk about marketing plans. When it's ready, how can GEMZ make a huge splash and go viral as quickly as possible?

It kind of is naturally viral already. When the app is polished and everything is in place its up to the first users to make sure they introduce all their contacts in as effective way as possible. I mean conservatively if the stakeholders could get 25 users onboard then you already have 25,000 users, and if only a fraction of those then invite others etc etc 100,000 becomes very doable over a few months. I think you need some basic numbers before you can get any free publicity from the tech press. One thing I think worth discussing is how to invite people in as positive way as possible especially to contacts who are already using Telegram who could in theory be 'converted' quite easily.

I know its seems silly but most apps I download often come from these top 10 android app articles or youtube videos. At some point Gems will need a 'story' or hook that makes for an attractive story. I still say their should be a focus on greed e.g some kid makes $20,000 just chatting to his friends type thing. Nothing grabs people more than the chance to make easy money. Or just a reaction against FB type sites making money from users.  To be honest Gems has a lot of great angles, its a technology that its time has come.
1328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Altcoin community should embrace this before it goes mainstream. on: January 19, 2015, 12:45:56 PM
I'm going to do something I never do and go completely over the top and suggest this app could not only take Crypto mainstream but it might even change how the entire internet works.

Yeah the messenger app is cool and yeah its great if it get s people into crypto but the by far amazing thing about Gems is the advertising platform. Just imagine a system where advertisers have to pay the actual person they want to advertise to, at the moment that is Facebook, Snapchat and their owners, we are literally making billionaires out of people that want to bother us with adverts. Now imagine this app goes mainstream and then imagine this app develops into a full social media platform just like Kakao talk turned into Kakao Story, then go that last step to owning Search which is what FB is working on taking from Google as we speak ie content is looked at from inside the FB ecosytem.  Then literally internet search and advertising model that Google is so powerful for is taken away and given to the users. I know this is jumping forward way too much and looks foolish but I believe from this app a seed is planted that could in theory go that far.
1329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Altcoin community should embrace this before it goes mainstream. on: January 19, 2015, 11:00:51 AM
People were saying and hyping this already for 4 months and nothing happened.

Gems is in the early devlopment phase.

1. The iOS has not been finished but will soon which is why supporters are holding back from inviting friends.

2. Ditto on the airdrop which is the most attractive reason to invite friends, again coming soon.

3. There has not been a messenger app that ever had a million downloads after a couple of weeks. It takes time to get the ball rolling and like I said the reason to invite isn't quite in place yet. The major apps we know today like Telgram and Whatsapp took as much as a year to really start getting popular.

4. I guess nothing happened means an increase in price? Well that's good news for anyone hearing this at still an early stage.
1330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No one takes crypto seriously. lol on: January 19, 2015, 10:39:06 AM
I can't believe even the Altcoin thread is now infected with Adam Guerbuez, the Roly Poly Matrix Man.

1333  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The MOST COMPREHENSIVE LIST of potential Satoshi candidates on: January 19, 2015, 03:11:51 AM
I went through many posts and articles about the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto and made a list of the suspects,
divided into 1) prime suspects, 2)others, and 3) group/institutions
I know some sound very unlikely but I still mention them because I didn't want to make any prejudgments.
Please let me know about other potential candidates. Happy Birthday Bitcoin!

1334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][GEMZ]| SOCIAL MESSAGING APP THAT PAYS | Android App Released | on: January 19, 2015, 02:57:40 AM
sold all my gemz, i think it will drop soon

Lol

Nobody will sell with the loss below ICO prices (which was around 8 Ksat)

I hope we won't talk here about the price.

I don't see any problem talking about price until we have a seperate forum and have a speculation section or whatever. It seemed pretty obvious to me that this app wasn't going to get a million downloads in a few weeks so I expected weak hands to take a small profit and go to the next big thing. Price wise the question is where will we be in 6-12 months if we have a successful app, before that does or doesn't happen the price is irrelevant to the apps value. I hope I can pick up some cheap Gems in the interim period.

Saying that I expect a pop when the iOS and airdrop is in place cause I expect many people like me are waiting for that to invite people.
1335  Economy / Speculation / Re: Adam spectacularly predicts Fiat implosion !!! on: January 18, 2015, 06:21:29 PM
Adam needs a Fat implosion not a fiat one. Don't you Adam?

you know that BTC is about to MOON when paper shills start talking to themselves

under the pseudonym of talking about adam to their last half though out

shill/adam post (about nothing)

Hahahahaha you are so obviously Adam and so obviously a Big Gay Penis wearing matrix shades. I would say get a life but I fear you might take that to mean to go to a Star Trek convention.
1336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If 1 million BTC users keep 10BTC would it save us from dead? on: January 18, 2015, 05:49:05 PM
There aren't even 1kk BTC users. I think there are only 600k?

nop , Even less then that , they are about 250,000 users
Even if it's hard to define with having multiple adresses and multiple accounts on exchangers etc ... all is estimated

Which is why the Gems app of it does get the million downloads which isn't that crazy in messenger apps it will shot Gems and Bitcoin through the roof.
1337  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If 1 million BTC users keep 10BTC would it save us from dead? on: January 18, 2015, 05:47:38 PM
So the answer to a financial system that has been manipulated to crap is to try to manipulate another one?

Bitcoin doesn't need this kind of help. The price measured in fiat is down a fraction, well woopie shit. Did the Blockchain disappear or is it broken somehow?
1338  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So how long has Adam Guerbuez the roly poly spiv been dominating this forum? on: January 18, 2015, 05:07:43 PM
wait...  you're really adam?

your most likely adam the way you suck up his ass

but adam bought a whole lot at 160ish - 170ish.  i think he tweeted for everyone to follow him when it was at those prices.

For a marketer he is the worst person I have ever seen on here in terms of convincing people on here convincingly.
1339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][GEMZ]| SOCIAL MESSAGING APP THAT PAYS | Android App Released | on: January 18, 2015, 04:58:51 PM
Send my gf 10 gems and the transaction was done in a jiffy. After I waited a bit my balance was showing the correct amount indeed (minus the 10 gems).

I did a test send to my wife's wallet, it took 8 minutes to show up!

I think the receiver needs a notification that X Person has sent X amount, within the chat you recieved from and I guess also a general one if it wasn't from a known contact.

1340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So how long has Adam Guerbuez the roly poly spiv been dominating this forum? on: January 18, 2015, 03:26:00 PM

Chikun certainly got his worm with the Swiss emails

Go away Adam you tubby dipshit.

Adam is probably on bond you mentally challenged fool

What other halfwit would make a thread suggesting that Adam fat boy predicted the collapse of the Swiss currency.

The only people that are going to agree with you Adam and believe you is yourself through your own sockpuppets. Surely that makes you beyond sad.
