Every coin has selling points even the worst clone coins. The two things you mention are tedious and boring, no one cares. Qora was a new code, long before NEM a it has voting, trading between coins and other innovations but no one cared. Trying to sell a coin on innovation is so 2013. What you need now is a coin that is integral to a product like Gems or Tilecoin. otherwise I think everyone knows now Bitcoin will be the winner in digital currencies. And coins that muddy the water really have no interest but their own at heart. The community needs to get behind Bitcoin as the Global Reserve digital currency and just build upon the blockchain. |

I only got a couple of referrals just sending to close friends at this early stage who I know are into crypto so I only got 50 gems. That was a few days ago when I updated. But I thought airdrops we're going to be daily so I figured I would see small increases daily?

Got to say this but screw the NEM team and community. They couldn't find the compassion to give me a stake when I lost it even though they are holding thousands of stakes. But don't see me as a bitter guy who lost his stake. I'm actually glad to be free of this coin.
I hope all this nonsense about fair distribution and Communist BS is put to rest with this coin. Any whale could buy 10% of this coin if they wanted and the team hold 60%, ie is this is the WORST distribution I have ever seen of any coin. Next stop under 50 sats, and when that happens I hope the team here can express a bit of humbleness instead of arrogance.

Now getgems might be different because it involves money and I think anything bitcoin seems to be heavily scrutinized by apple.
Yes, a person looks at it. A play store submission only goes through automated verification of API usage, virus checking, etc. All apple app submissions are manually reviewed. That's why it takes longer. This is for ALL apps. It has nothing to do with the fact that it is a bit coin app. True but the fact is Apple has had a stormy relationship with Bitcoin apps, at one time banning outright. GetGems not only is a Bitcoin wallet but it's actually a crypto and payment system within the app and with Apple and major players all trying to dominate this space of payments I doubt GetGems will pass through the review system quite as smoothly as Angry Birds 8. Can't iOS just be a download link on the Getgems website anyway? There are some bitcoin related apps available for iOS so GetGems should be fine. I hope as well but for the reasons I mentioned if we don't hear anything in a few days I might start to get concerned. |

i tried to transfer my GEMZ from counterwallet.io to my Getgems App. but it requires me to pay 0.0005 BTC? Although i know its not much, but it was initially in the Getgems app. sooo...feels kinda *wrong* to pay for it. Make it free for this one time at least. just from counterwallet.io to Getgems app. not to any other place

Maybe if you had to move it to your wallet but actually you dont need to yet and later you can connect up your account to your wallet for the bonus. lol...prob is...having to top up BTC requires a minimum cash deposit [through mastercard] of like $20-50USD through an exchange. i'm currently tight on budget. i wouldn't mind doing it if i only had to top up 30 cents or $1 to pay 10 cents. I don't mind paying in GEMZ too. unfortunately, it currently only accepts BTC, which is 0.0005. i don't need to yet? i can later connect up my counterwallet.io to my getgems app for the bonus? can you provide more details on this? Would like to know more. There's no real reason to put your crowdsale gems in your wallet now cause the multiplier for working out Bonus hasn't been implemented yet. There is a plan to be able to connect another account later as well as your wallet for the multiplier. So yeah you don't really need to hold into your app wallet now, just watch your bonus coins add up from referrals is probably all you want to do anyway. If your desperate later I'll send a few sats so you can move gems but for now I wouldn't bother. |

This is a cut and paste of a message I sent to the NEM admin team.
Hi,
I just wanted to tell you what happened, I won't beg but please read what I say. I Lost my secret key and account details a moth or so ago and you gave me another one. Unfortunatly a few days before launch my laptop which AlI had the secret key stored on for no reason decided to crash and said I had to put a Windows OS disc into the drive to recover. I live as an expat in Asia, there is no easy way for me to get windows on Disc without a lot of hassle plus I have to use my computer for preparing material for teaching. So I did a system reset which have me no option to recover files, just a complete restore.
So I feel pretty annoyed. Thing is I followed this coin from way back at the beggining in fact that's why my name is nextgencoin because I was active with NXT and then followed NEM. So after over a year a few days before I get my coins my laptop does this. I can't help feel unlucky.
So my point is I genuinely believe I deserve to get a stake from the large amount of coins held by the NEM team and as
more stakeholders the better I felt it was a just thing to ask for one. It's up to you and your team if I get one.

The NEM admin I guess quite fairly said they can't do that behind the back of the community. But they also said I should ask The community IF I deserve a stake. I guess it's up to feedback on here now. I won't beg I just think it's fair.
So you are referring to this comment I think. I am not sure, but I doubt much of the community will support you. Look, I believe you, but if NEM starts giving away free stakes to everybody who lost their private key, then people will line up claiming to have lost their key. Also, please let this be a message to everybody else, please back up your private key in more than one location. hard drives break or paper wallets get lost or pass words get forgotten. please make sure you have a back up. Dude im not going to sweat it. But if the Nem team werent holding onto so many stakes and clearly my account is locked forever i was pleading to the less dogmatic side of this community. Even though this seems like a decent idea, I'd rather not. You do realize that once you install all of those apps on your phone you pretty much lose all of your privacy?
Did you ever read the permissions that Facebooks requests before installation? It's pretty much requesting to watch over you.
This however could be very useful for people who have millions of followers on Twitter and are into such a thing.
