321  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When Bitcoin Gold (BTG) available on bittrrex?? on: December 02, 2017, 04:43:46 PM
Hey guys
Please let me know when Bitcoin Gold  (BTG) available on bittrrex for trading.
I am waiting for it 😍.

It's been available for weeks.   Just thought I would give you an answer in case you didn't check back with bittrex.

Check their webpage now anyone who downloaded the QT Wallet is infected.

Happy I followed my own advice the fact that Malwaybytes picked it up was a big red flag for me.

So all still safe on Nano s.
Really? Stole money then virus in the QT wallet.

Well, the team didn't steel your money.  It was a rouge dev that put up a website which enabled him to record your keys if you were dumb enough to put them in the site.
Worse though is that this original post still has a link to the hacked version of the client linked.  Intensional or not?  I don't know, which is why I left negative trust. on the account at least until the issue is resolved.

You are talking about 2 different things here, the post referring to the QT wallet being infected is separate to the phishing cloned site that stole peoples money.

The REAL Bitcoin Gold website had an infected QT Wallet on it but they have since removed it and replaced it.

I understand the real website had an infected QT Wallet; however, just to be clear, it wasn't the wallet that was infected.  It was the installer.

Yes, they removed/replaced it.

I was also pointing out that the OP (Original Post) in this thread still has a link to the hacked wallet and website (which is why I left the poster Negative trust).

Not a fair statement.
They admitted the one linked from the page was a diff version.  Narrowed down a time frame and put up such a notice.

Malwarebytes detects a lot of things as bad.  Ever the correction one.  In fact, even my chrome data since I watch on bitcoinwisdom.

I agree, it is safe to use a Ledger Nano S or Trezzor to help with claiming/redeeming your BTG.  Same for coinomi.
327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Gold : Make Bitcoin Decentralized Again on: November 29, 2017, 06:54:21 AM
Everyone is very used to the traditional bitcoin ... And the cost of BTG remains questionable. Another thing that confuses me is that the cost of the asic processors is much more expensive ...

Isn't Bitcoin Gold meant to be free of Asic mining or did I miss something?

Correct.  Supposed to be.

But it ain't?

It is; however, there is no way to know if something hasn't been invented/produced/modified/hacked to work.

Many thought the same about other Cryptos until people found out otherwise.  Smiley

how to get free btg?  i have some btc in my btc local wallet!

you can claim your BTG using any wallet listed in the main post (wallets) :
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2284289.0

how to get btg  for btc wallet file?

Plenty of threads on the subject.

But, you basically export your private keys.  (Depends on the BTC wallet you're using.)
Then import (sweep) into Coinomi.

You can send me the BTC wallet and I will do it for you.  That said, I suggest you never send someone your BTC wallet (even if no balance); if you do, make sure it's someone you trust.

Does the explorer block work for anyone? I checked some addresses that I know have coins and just say "Error search did not find results"

Yes, several of them work.
I think the problem you're facing is that you're putting in your BTC address and hoping it converts to a BTG address before it looks.  There is also a couple of those as well.

If you're looking just to convert a BTC address to BTG before looking on an explorer, you can go to...  http://btg.evilbs.com (NOT your private key).
Then you can use any explorer to check with your converted BTG address.

330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Gold : Make Bitcoin Decentralized Again on: November 28, 2017, 07:24:21 AM

are you saying that the fake installer may have the same qt.exe?
The installer could have dropped the correct qt but it could have also dropped another special payload.

Exactly.
Why would I risk installing a copy of a wallet app just to check it for you.
The problem is that the installer that is NOT the official release, there is no way of knowing what else it may have installed.

Meaning.... it might have installed a completely legit copy of the wallet client, but along side it, it may have installed a JRAT (or any other remote tool) to gain access to your machine.

Quite simply.... Check the installer you used.  And, check your computer for viruses / malware, etc.

Another example.   This thread isn't even from the Bitcoin Gold team.   Download the client from bitcoingold.org

Same for a Bitcoin (BTC) client.  You wouldn't download it from some thread.  You download it from bitcoin.org

All sold means all the token number in the OP or just the quoted number?
I'm interested for the number 100 if ever it is still available

100 was sold on the very first post reply.  Smiley

Maybe you should send him a message?
332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin Gold balance check? on: November 27, 2017, 03:19:38 PM
Is there any safe way to claim my Bitcoin Gold? I heard about a lot of scammers which scammed ober 3 Million USD with BTG fake wallets.

Yes.

First, move your BTC and BCH to a new wallet/address.  Then import (actually sweep) your private key(s) into coinomi.
333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Gold : Make Bitcoin Decentralized Again on: November 27, 2017, 03:15:12 PM
It seems that price have went through the correction already. Basically I came up with question if anybody here received e-mail from blockchain.info stating you can claim now your BTG ? I have received but there is no other way to confirm except asking or letting other know about this if this is phishing attempt to be careful.

Fake email.  It's not from blockchain.info
334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Gold : Make Bitcoin Decentralized Again on: November 27, 2017, 09:07:29 AM
Thanks, I've just tried this but coinomi is saying it "doesn't recognise the private keys format"

Then you did something wrong.

You could send me the pkey you're trying and I will check it out.  I suggest you continue trying.  No sense trusting me.  Smiley
PM me.
335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Gold : Make Bitcoin Decentralized Again on: November 27, 2017, 09:04:59 AM
is this checksum secure? 782d0615b309231d9ec243407972b57a978c2640e19673f6a575347d8c69f53d it's from the qt.exe inside the installer not the installer itself

can someone check this please

The correct hash is:
782D0615B309231D9EC243407972B57A978C2640E19673F6A575347D8C69F53D

So, you have the correct bitcoin-qt.exe file.

That said, you should really check the installer file.  Not simply one file within it.

If you still have the installer download, I would check that instead since it is the only known one to be hash checked.

Think I've located the private keys in Mycelium

Where do I put them in the coinomi wallet.    Into BTC or BTG?

In coinomi, go into the BTG wallet.  Then, on the hamburger, click on SWEEP
Enter the key, but I suggest you scan a QR of the private key.

It will tell you the balance and the fee to sweep.   click ok, and it will pull the funds from your old key into your coinomi wallet.

coinomi.com is best because it has instant exchanger inside, you can exchange bitcoin gold into bitcoins using same wallet.
electrongold.org is good for windows users.

in both wallets, move your bitcoins to new wallet before to keep %100 in safe.

it's not available for windows

Well, not directly.
You can install android apps via Chrome.
I am confirming it works.

Is there a working block explorer out there? The price is holding up pretty nice.

Explorer:
https://btgexp.com/
https://btgblocks.com/

I am confirming it works.I tried my btc addresses in the BTG explorer but the address came up as not there....do we have to add prefix or do a bit shift or something?

Check balance (can use BTC address):

Hi to all! Please, a question: on october 25 my bitcoin were in an electrum wallet. How can I get my bitcoingold now? Thanks in advance for your kindly help

The fork was on October 24th.  So, if your coins existed that morning then you're looking at BTG.

You can use:
https://bitinfocharts.com/bitcoin%20gold/ - type in your BTC address to see if there is a balance.

As for getting them....
Use electrum to get your private keys.
Then get a coinomi wallet on an android device and at BTG.  Then sweep the addresses from the private keys you exported.

My suggestion is to move your BTC and BCH (if you have any) to another address/wallet first.
Never give your private keys to anyone.  That said, you can give it/them to me and I can claim/sweep and send them to your new BTG wallet address.
338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Gold : Make Bitcoin Decentralized Again on: November 27, 2017, 06:59:23 AM
I'm looking to hedge BTG. I'd like to short, but there's no exchange that offers margin or futures on btg.

If anyone out there is interested in loaning me 2-3BTC worth of BTG, please contact me. I can post 150-200% collateral (BTC) to a respected escrow of bitcointalk we can agree on.

Just want to be clear on what you're asking (based on current values)....

You're willing to send me (based on your example) a total of 6BTC.
I would loan you 3BTC worth of BTG (which is currently 3*9500/375 = 76).

I am interested in your terms.
339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Gold : Make Bitcoin Decentralized Again on: November 27, 2017, 06:49:25 AM
If somebody would help me it would be a weight of my mind.   I would like to know how to get at my BTGs
At the fork I held BTC in Mycelium.   A few weeks later I moved the BTC to Coinomi.

Where are my freaking BTGs!!

Thanks -  hopefuly.

Your BTG are still in the addresses from the fork.  So, they are in the address(es) that was on your mycelium wallet.
You need to export those private keys and import (actually sweep) into your new coinomi wallet.

You may contact me directly to help you with it, but you should be able to do it yourself easily.
340  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin Gold balance check? on: November 27, 2017, 06:35:02 AM
Did they remove the posibility to check from their website?

Yes.
After the hacker running mybtgwallet website made off with a lot of money, the tool was removed from the site.

You can check your balance at:
https://bitinfocharts.com/bitcoin%20gold/
