Hey, I am a Sri Lankan and I am just planning to move to eastern Europe Russia or Turkey. at the moment I like more Turkey. But I have less information about Turkey. people who live in Turkey may know the situation well. Can you guys please help me to understand whether it is a wise to decision to choose Turkey over Russia or any other eastern European country? Thanks in advance.

Czechoslovakia, in particular Prague would be my choice.

....Like wtf..

How are we supposed to trust these vote counting machines?

If their is a case for election fraud.. HERE IT IS!!

And this personally angers me actually..

There's a lot to learn about reality of voting machines at the DEFCON hacker's convention.

https://www.cnet.com/news/defcon-hackers-find-its-very-easy-to-break-voting-machines/

As I recall it was <30min to break those machines, they are basically crap as far as security.

The other issue is and I have said it a few times. A downstate NY Democrat and a NY Republican probably agree on more things then a downstate NY Democrat and a NM Democrat. Or a SC Republican and a ND Republican. They would never admit it in public

Yeah, a SC Republican is going to be for fracking but....are they going to risk re-election on it if it really becomes an issue.

I would like to think the "party line voting" that has been going on for years is going to have to change or sooner or later they are all going to get voted out on their asses.

The ramp up to a totalitarian party requires utter orthodoxy.
324  Other / Politics & Society / Re: I want to congratulate President Trump ON HIS RE-ELECTION. on: November 04, 2020, 07:17:40 PM
Maybe I was wrong and had a premature election result last night. Grin

I'd called it for Trump but I am very very unhappy with the apparent creation of never ending drama, the new phase being "the election results." Really tired of all this contrived, made up nonsense, starting with the Russian hoax, going on to today, and now at least another six months.

This process "is the punishment" and although it winds up a Trump win, it's devolved into a contrived bitter-sweet win, with agitated opposition deceived into thinking it was stolen.

Far, FAR better to just have it out on 11-3 and be done with it.

It's been calculated that as little as 1/8" of live green stuff on the land of the Earth would completely zero out the additional Co2 from our activities.

But as tvfcov noted it doesn't have to be trees. It's really just us humans that like the trees better than pond scum.

Basically, if something doesn't form coal beds (like, say, peat bogs) then it is carbon neutral.  Doesn't matter if it is an old-growth forest or an inch of slime.  When things fall to the forest floor, they rot and the carbon is released right back into the atmosphere.  And a lot of forests burn regularly which simply speeds make the process more of a step-wise function.

People have a tendancy to think in timeframe terms they are familiar with; a few decades.  Trying to map these geological timescale systems to human timeframes is just stupid....

It's true, until I started to read about and actually understand geology, I didn't even understand rocks. Let alone green stuff like trees.

But it's nice we have so many that know it all. Smiley

ISIS and Al Qaeada both are not muslims or chistrance these are just culprits of current worlds politics and just because of this we have many problems around the world these are working for worlds amunations industry as these need to sell their stocks so they use organizations like these for this all without any religion or any other thing.

Actually, yes they are definitely sects of Islam and there are hundreds more sects of Islam that tend toward violence. ISIS and Al Qaeada are simply a couple the media have focused on.

329  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump suggests that he may fire Fauci? - according to media reports. on: November 03, 2020, 07:48:57 PM
Not exactly sure on the Fauci stuff, as I haven't seen too many reports confirming that. Though Axios is reporting that Trump is planning a MASSIVE shift up in regards to his top cabinet positions if he is to get reelected.

He's planning on getting rid of FBI Director Christopher Wray, CIA Director Gina Haspel, and Defense Secretary Mark Esper. ...

It's different with Fauci, because our Fed administration is really running a decentralized approach to the pandemic. It's not a top down rules set, but very much in the hands of the governors.

Fauci is no boss or czar.
330  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump suggests that he may fire Fauci? - according to media reports. on: November 03, 2020, 06:05:59 PM
I don’t know if you’ll have read the news reports or no, but Trump has suggested that he may consider firing Fauci?, and personally I don’t think that it’s such a good idea because USA is yet dealing with the pandemic.

It’s also pertinent to note that he praised Fauci first, but then he made his intentions clear that he could fire Fauci right after the election ends tonight.

What do you’ll think will happen if he actually fires Fauci, how will the public react to his decision on firing the nation's leading expert on infectious diseases?.

Source:

https://edition.cnn.com/2020/11/02/politics/donald-trump-anthony-fauci-job-post-election/index.html

That's Fauci's own fault if you look at the details. Also he's developed a rock star type ego problem, and it's interfered with his judgement.

I've seen him make numerous conceptual and practical errors.

"Nation's leading expert" is not really what this guy is. There are hundreds or thousands of brilliant doctors and scientists that could do the job.
331  Other / Politics & Society / Re: One Million Trees on: November 03, 2020, 06:03:17 PM
Trees are very important for us and our health and only when people will understand this thing we will have everywhere only trees
You are right now we have new government and they are also doing some good work for this project they have target of 1 Billion trees in next few years because its really need of time and better future of next generation we are doing some hard work hopefully we will achieve this target and have really good number of trees in next few years.

It's been calculated that as little as 1/8" of live green stuff on the land of the Earth would completely zero out the additional Co2 from our activities.

But as tvfcov noted it doesn't have to be trees. It's really just us humans that like the trees better than pond scum.
332  Other / Politics & Society / Re: US Elections 2020 - very self such moderated on: November 03, 2020, 05:50:14 PM
What I have not seen discussed is the fact that in 2016 Trump won, but many stayed home or did not vote for him. Really a lot of Republicans and Independents.

This time most of those undecided voters are pro Trump. Not all but most. Plus, some Democrats who are appalled at their choices, or who have reasons. Like blacks.

That's a great many votes.

The media and the pollsters would have us believe that there are that many MORE democrats who have came out of the woodwork in their tremendous enthusiasm for the rock star Joe Biden.

I don't buy it. There was enthusiasm for Hillary, no question about that. This time around the Democratic enthusiam is as near to zero as possible.

Not only do a percentage of the younger crowd actually like Trump and will or have voted for him, but others, faced with a choice of toking on some weed or going out for Biden, are going to stay at home.

Do you actually know what I was trying to explain as my conspiracy theory or were you just writing me off? I'm BEYOND CONFUSED.

I'm not saying that ACB is the only one on the court who is some Illuminati level person. I'm saying that the upper echelon of society is only going to let people that they allow 'in' access to the most prestigious parts of government. Why would the rich and wealthy let someone get to the court, or become the President, if they're going to go against their interest.

That's what I'm talking about here. Nothing else, lol.

Okay, got it.
334  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Only the Fools are making the cartoons of Mohamed on: November 03, 2020, 02:46:55 PM
The prophet Mohamed was a kind person but you all the Muslims are opposite to them? He has small beard but all you Muslim have large beards? He has a kind attitude? But all you Muslim have a violent behavior? His preaching were to not to kill anyone even on a war he said that not to kill the womens, childerns, mans with old ages and people who cannot fight or those who are Unarmed? But your Jihadists kill everyone? even the Children and Womens? ....

Many observations such as these can be made and are valid.

336  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you think COVID19 is a scam? on: November 01, 2020, 10:38:33 PM

A woman who’s been dead six months received a letter this week from the Shelby County Health Department saying that she had tested positive for COVID-19 and needs to isolate.

“I’m just having a hard time understanding how they can say someone has COVID-19 when they are not even alive,” said Troy Whittington...

Darn it, all those illegals need to stop using dead peoples' IDs!

Nothing new here, it's been 5-4 conservative many times.

The proposition that anything whatsoever from the Warren Court forward could be deemed “conservative” only shows that you have nothing left to conserve.

I think we're on the same page when you say that all is lost. Maybe I'm just a cynic and there is still hope though.

Absolute nonsense. The SC will make decisions, many of them will surprise people that try to predict.

Alright here is where my line of thought is regarding high level positions such as the SC, Presidency, etc.

I think that at a certain point when you're going up the ladder the owners of our society, the super rich and wealthy, ensure that you're not a threat to them and you won't alter the status quo too much. I just don't know how someone could get to a high level position like that without being vetted by the people who run shit.

I know this is like an Illuminati level conspiracy, but that's just where my brain puts me at some points.

Go ahead, confirm it's nonsense. Then from the political point of view, Barret really makes the court 5-4. (Noting John Roberts actual record).

Nothing new here, it's been 5-4 conservative many times.

....Kamala Harris scares me. She will laugh like a sociopath when pressed on any sort of issue. She is more unlikeable than Hillary Clinton...and that is TOUGH.

Even scarier is the idea that a lot of people like her laugh.

And she laughs at YOU.
