I'm currently on the v4.2.4 which is somewhat old. The AM detects the new version and when I try to update it, after the installation procedure, it still says I'm on v4.2.4. I tried downloading the latest v4.2.9 from the website and installed that. Afterwards, it still says I'm on v4.2.4.
Is the latest version misreporting the version number, or is my app not getting updated? I have setup the exclusion in the Windows defender already - no warnings during the installation.
Thanks.
It was not updated correctly. Can you please send me the log files in "%ProgramData%\IntelliBreeze\" via mail (info at awesomeminer.com)?

Hello everyone, currently having another issue. For the past few days whenever the miner would open it would fail and try again until it just stops. This is the message it gives: *** ccminer 2.2.3 for nVidia GPUs by tpruvot@github *** Built with VC++ 2013 and nVidia CUDA SDK 9.0 64-bits
Originally based on Christian Buchner and Christian H. project Include some kernels from alexis78, djm34, djEzo, tsiv and krnlx.

I also get a windows popup message saying "ccminer has stopped working" and prompts me to close the program. Normally after I close the program and reopen it it will start working again. I have been miner for about a week now with no issues and haven't changed anything. Any ideas?? If a specific algorithm is failing - try to disable it from the profit switcher as it may simply not be stable in your setup. Right click on the miner and select Edit Profit Profile. In the Profit Profile Properties, uncheck this algorithm to exclude from the profit switcher.

I have been mining for a while and noticed that miners are restarting roughly every 2 minutes. I am running GPU mining on Nvidia 980, and it doesn't matter which miner program is running, ccminer/ewbf/excavator, after 2 minutes of mining, the process would stop and restart immediately. I even tried CPU mining, it would run through the same stop/restart cycle. This is what I found in the logs, showing only when the stop restart happens (the time it takes for each stop/restart cycle is exactly 02min 24sec): 28-Dec-17 10:11:35 AM.612 [005] [S][ManagedMiner#5 - gpu miner] Mining Engine Process started, PID: 4264 28-Dec-17 10:11:37 AM.619 [001] [S][ManagedMiner#5 - gpu miner] Interface connected 28-Dec-17 10:14:02 AM.173 [005] [W][ManagedMiner#5 - gpu miner] process not running. I do not have any rules setup, in fact I have disabled any rules from the settings. Profit switching interval is set to 30 minutes How can I get the miners to keep mining without the stop/restart every 2 minutes? Thanks for your help. "process not running. Restarting..." is typically an indication that the mining software has crashed and Awesome Miner detects that the process is no longer running and initiates a restart of it. What is a bit strange here is that it happens so frequently and always 2 - 3 minutes in between. Is this with only Awesome Miner itself or is a Remote Agent involved as well? Could you click the Diagnostics button in the toolbar just to verify that the output from the mining software is OK?

Id Like to volunteer my time to research the needed data to add more coins and pools to AM. i am also willing to host wallets to get realtime Difficulty and block rewards data.
also im not a programmer but i wonder if its possible to run a server that crawls various pools for current hashrate info? maybe python?
Today Awesome Miner uses the following sources for profit information, where WhatToMine is the most popular source for coin profit information: http://www.awesomeminer.com/help/coinstats.aspxOnce a coin is supported on WhatToMine, it will show up with statistics and profit information in Awesome Miner right away. If another service is providing information about more or other coins, Awesome Miner could connect to this service API as well. Patrike, I ran across this service the other day that is also interesting: https://www.crypto-coinz.netIt's similar to whattomine, and it has a lot of the more "oddball" coins. They also have a calculation to look at the "miners leaving opportunity"... which is an interesting metric to consider, where the network hashrate is falling on the coin, so you have the opportunity to generate more coins if you go after one. I don't know if they have an API or JSON to interface with, but you might be able to reach out to the creators to see if they have one. Thanks - that one looks interesting. No API's yet, but the entire service is quite new so I suppose it will develop a lot during next year. Let's keep an eye on this one!

@patrike Can you explain the "profit switch threshold %" I'm assuming it is the minimum % for AM to switch. So if you are mining something @ $100 and it updated so the highest is no $105 and if you had a 10% threshold it would not switch, but if you had a 3% threshold it would. I looked at http://www.awesomeminer.com/help/profitswitching.aspx but it appears to be old. Your understanding of the Threshold value is correct. The idea is to not switch too frequenly if it's only a few percent of profit increase to do the switch. I will update the profit switching documentation for this (and more) tomorrow.

Bumping this, some of my miners have a couple GB worth of logs (6GB on one) in them in the AM service local directory. This isn't a big deal if you have a big HD, but a lot of my miners don't. There needs to be a way to limit the amount of logs or the total size of logs the AM service creates. I've had certain miners with GB worth of logs that I have to manually delete. Please add this ASAP.
You can disable logging in the Remote Agent configuration tool. The Remote Service Configuration tool is found in the folder where Remote Agent is installed. So you have to disable logging individually for each miner? That seems like kinda a pita for a managed miner piece of software. This should be available from the management console. On a different note please add the ability to add notes to each miner with a exclamation or something so you can keep track of what's wrong with troublesome miners. The next release will do a better cleanup of older log files to reduce the disk space usage.

When I add a CPU miner windows defender tells me its a bad Trojan? so it wont work.
Also when I am running the miner which is set to auto exchange, when its mining then it switches to another coin mine, my GPU reports that it block this and crahes my machine this happens all the time so its impossible for me to use.
I am newbie noobie so any help would be good so I can get this mining. Thanks
It's quite common that mining software and especially CPU mining software is flagged as a threat. For this reason I've created a guide about how to configure Windows Defender for this. Please see: http://www.awesomeminer.com/help/defender.aspxIs it specific mining software or a specific algorithm that is crashing? Is it a real crash or just a failure to launch the mining software? Can you catch it with the Diagnostics button in the toolbar?

@Patrike,
Not sure if this was answered before, but does Awesome Miner factor in algo fees when Profit Switching between Online Services? If not, would you recommend adjusting the Profit Factor per algo to reflect their respective fees?
It's not included. You can modify the Factor manually for this.

I'd like to run Awesome Miner on my Window maching but run remote machine on Ubuntu with only ccminer. Can Awesome Miner remote control and do profit base algo switching like it can do on windows remote machine? Any article post on that topic I am interested in reviewing.
Thanks
Awesome Miner can only connect to the API of the mining software running on Linux and show mining information like hashrates and so on. Profit Switching isn't supported for Linux miners as it require much more control. You can add your Linux miner as an External Miner in Awesome Miner: http://www.awesomeminer.com/help/externalwizard.aspx

Hi, everyone, first message here!!! I would like to give awesome miner a try....I have AMD and Nvidia GPUS....do i just set up 2 miners?
Hi and welcome! Yes. However, if you do profit switching, you should either disable Claymore Ethereum Miner or configure it to only run on either AMD or nVidia. This is the only mining software that runs both on AMD and nVidia at the same time. You can disable mining software from a profile via Options dialog, Profit profile section

Hello,
is there any way how to add algorithm "yescrypt" ? I have got ccminer with support of this algo (not included in a/m), but i am not able to learn awesome miner to use this external library.
Thanks for all folks
Please see this guide: http://www.awesomeminer.com/help/addalgorithm.aspxthanks, but this is guide how to add new algo into a/m. But i need to add new software-miner. This option is missing. Thanks Did you try to add a new Managed Software for this in the Options dialog? Although the guide show how to modify an existing software like ccminer, on the same page in the user interface you can also add your own ccminer as "User defined Managed Software".

Will this be fixed in next release ? Also, Unspecified Lyra2z doesn't show any income. I can see the value in online services and in the profit details but no value in the coin column of miners. I assume you have defined an algorithm called "Lyra2z" as well? What I'm planning to do is actually to make this algorithm and a several more included by default. I can also look at if region support can be added for for custom Online Services. I will try to make this into the next release. Thanks for your feedback on this.

Hello everyone. I'm looking for a little help setting up AM Remote Agent.
I have AE running on one computer and downloaded the remote agent on another. I also have opened port 9630 on both windows firewalls and my router firewall, however, I'm still getting this error:
"Awesome Miner Remote Agent failed to listen on port '9630'.
I would appreciate any help.Thank you!
Is any other application using that port? Also make sure you didn't install the Windows Service (Remote Service) on the computer. You can try to change port via the Remote Agent configuration tool: http://www.awesomeminer.com/help/remoteagent.aspx

If the rig loses power and restarts 5 minutes later, by that time AM has given up trying to restart the miner. Is there any way to have it periodically check for a connection and if one is found, to start the miner? I thought it would do this but it doesn't seem to. If the rig has been offline for a few minutes, it doesn't start up the miner.
If the rig reboots - can you configure the miner to Auto start instead? You will find this setting in the Properties of the miner.

Trying to test this out. Is there a way to add Ahashpool and is it automatic or do you need to add every coin individually? Also how to add X17 algorithm?
AHashPool is predefined with at least the 10 most popular algorithms. You can also add your own via Options dialog, Online Services if needed.

Yescrypt just hangs by the auto block algorithms the whole time. It never really begins mining. Is this pool not made for Nvidia GPUs?
I was looking at the ccminer 2.2.3 readme for yescrypt, but couldn't find any indication that it was supported. For CpuMiner-Opt I've been able to successfully do yescrypt mining. Maybe someone else knows if any special fork on ccminer is required for this?

I agree that this is important to add. I have this high on my list of features to implement. Thanks for your feedback!

Minor thing.... In cloud service on Notifications page: "Desription" --> should be "Description" Sorry for being an Ant F*cker, as we call it in the Netherlands... Thanks for pointing it out. Incorrect spelling gives a bad impression of the software so I will correct it.
