Hello,

is there any way how to add algorithm "yescrypt" ?
I have got ccminer with support of this algo (not included in a/m), but i am not able to learn awesome miner to use this external library.

Thanks for all folks
Please see this guide:
http://www.awesomeminer.com/help/addalgorithm.aspx

thanks, but this is guide how to add new algo into a/m. But i need to add new software-miner. This option is missing. Thanks
Did you try to add a new Managed Software for this in the Options dialog? Although the guide show how to modify an existing software like ccminer, on the same page in the user interface you can also add your own ccminer as "User defined Managed Software".

Hi, everyone, first message here!!!
I would like to give awesome miner a try....I have AMD and Nvidia GPUS....do i just set up 2 miners?
Hi and welcome!
Yes. However, if you do profit switching, you should either disable Claymore Ethereum Miner or configure it to only run on either AMD or nVidia. This is the only mining software that runs both on AMD and nVidia at the same time. You can disable mining software from a profile via Options dialog, Profit profile section

Id Like to volunteer my time to research the needed data to add more coins and pools to AM. i am also willing to host wallets to get realtime Difficulty and block rewards data.

also im not a programmer but i wonder if its possible to run a server that crawls various pools for current hashrate info? maybe python?
Today Awesome Miner uses the following sources for profit information, where WhatToMine is the most popular source for coin profit information:
http://www.awesomeminer.com/help/coinstats.aspx

Once a coin is supported on WhatToMine, it will show up with statistics and profit information in Awesome Miner right away.

If another service is providing information about more or other coins, Awesome Miner could connect to this service API as well.

I'd like to run Awesome Miner on my Window maching but run remote machine on Ubuntu with only ccminer.  Can Awesome Miner remote control and do profit base algo switching like it can do on windows remote machine?  Any article post on that topic I am interested in reviewing.

Thanks
Awesome Miner can only connect to the API of the mining software running on Linux and show mining information like hashrates and so on. Profit Switching isn't supported for Linux miners as it require much more control.

You can add your Linux miner as an External Miner in Awesome Miner:

@Patrike,

Not sure if this was answered before, but does Awesome Miner factor in algo fees when Profit Switching between Online Services? If not, would you recommend adjusting the Profit Factor per algo to reflect their respective fees?
It's not included. You can modify the Factor manually for this.

Bumping this, some of my miners have a couple GB worth of logs (6GB on one) in them in the AM service local directory. This isn't a big deal if you have a big HD, but a lot of my miners don't.

There needs to be a way to limit the amount of logs or the total size of logs the AM service creates. I've had certain miners with GB worth of logs that I have to manually delete. Please add this ASAP.
You can disable logging in the Remote Agent configuration tool. The Remote Service Configuration tool is found in the folder where Remote Agent is installed.

Trying to test this out.   Is there a way to add Ahashpool and is it automatic or do you need to add every coin individually?  Also how to add X17 algorithm?
AHashPool is predefined with at least the 10 most popular algorithms. You can also add your own via Options dialog, Online Services if needed.

I saw Ahashpool is there now, I had old version.  I also figured out how to add algorithm but do I need to link it to a coin or anything?

I am actually moving from Claymore ether and Sia mining and i would like to keep it if possible.

Can i specify Nvidia when using the Nvidia miner and the AMD's while using AMD?

so i basically need to add -di 01 to the amd miner and -di 2 to the Nvidia miner...just not sure where exactly to go

When I add a CPU miner windows defender tells me its a bad Trojan? so it wont work.

Also when I am running the miner which is set to auto exchange, when its mining then it switches to another coin mine, my GPU reports that it block this and crahes my machine this happens all the time so its impossible for me to use.

I am newbie noobie so any help would be good so I can get this mining. Thanks

So I added X17 and Phi to Hash refinery.  How does it know to use those coins.  When I go to online services from the main part it doesn't show profitability for those algorithms.

I added a coin and linked it to X17 and still get no stats or anything.  When using multipool miner, it will switch between x17, phi and neoscrypt.  This just stays on neoscrypt forever so clearly its not using the newly added algorithms.

It's quite common that mining software and especially CPU mining software is flagged as a threat. For this reason I've created a guide about how to configure Windows Defender for this. Please see:
http://www.awesomeminer.com/help/defender.aspx

Is it specific mining software or a specific algorithm that is crashing? Is it a real crash or just a failure to launch the mining software? Can you catch it with the Diagnostics button in the toolbar?

HI patrike, I installed AM on a PC with windows 7 32 bits. The issue is that I can not make it work because all the miners that download are 64 bits. Any solution?

You can disable logging in the Remote Agent configuration tool. The Remote Service Configuration tool is found in the folder where Remote Agent is installed.

So you have to disable logging individually for each miner? That seems like kinda a pita for a managed miner piece of software. This should be available from the management console.

On a different note please add the ability to add notes to each miner with a exclamation or something so you can keep track of what's wrong with troublesome miners.

I buy private Nvidia miners. Send information and/or inquiries to my PM box.

@patrike

Can you explain the "profit switch threshold %"

I'm assuming it is the minimum % for AM to switch.

So if you are mining something @ $100 and it updated so the highest is no $105 and if you had a 10% threshold it would not switch, but if you had a 3% threshold it would.

I looked at http://www.awesomeminer.com/help/profitswitching.aspx but it appears to be old.

Why is it that when I mine Keccak or SHA-3. that the readings I get using my GTX1080ti is false. I plus this pool passes the 1GH threshold but tells me I earning ALOT but not giving the estimate. Can someone please shed some light on this for me please?!

Can you give us some more information here?  Can you run the diagnostics and post the results?

I am South African so our currency is ZAR and for some reason it says the profit is R4500 per day ($361)?!

As you see the coin is unspecified, suggestions?

Specify the coin or the algorithm to help AM understand what it's mining.  If the coin is not built into AM, then add the coin with some information so that AM knows how to provide you with your potential earnings.

Patrike,

I ran across this service the other day that is also interesting:  https://www.crypto-coinz.net

It's similar to whattomine, and it has a lot of the more "oddball" coins.  They also have a calculation to look at the "miners leaving opportunity"... which is an interesting metric to consider, where the network hashrate is falling on the coin, so you have the opportunity to generate more coins if you go after one.

I don't know if they have an API or JSON to interface with, but you might be able to reach out to the creators to see if they have one.

I have been mining for a while and noticed that miners are restarting roughly every 2 minutes. I am running GPU mining on Nvidia 980, and it doesn't matter which miner program is running, ccminer/ewbf/excavator, after 2 minutes of mining, the process would stop and restart immediately. I even tried CPU mining, it would run through the same stop/restart cycle.

This is what I found in the logs, showing only when the stop restart happens (the time it takes for each stop/restart cycle is exactly 02min 24sec):

I do not have any rules setup, in fact I have disabled any rules from the settings. Profit switching interval is set to 30 minutes

How can I get the miners to keep mining without the stop/restart every 2 minutes?

Thanks for your help.

I run AM on my laptop to monitor my rigs.  Now if a rig goes down and restarts while my laptop is away, it's not gonna start mining again until my laptop is back.  I was wondering what would be the affect of running a 2nd copy of AM on one of my rigs concurrently with my laptop?  Is it possible?  The objective is to control the mining from my laptop but to have miners autostart even when my laptop is out of network range.  Is it gonna be a problem having 2 copies of AM monitoring and controlling the miners?
