When it comes to network products there is only one number one in the world. That is without a single doubt the CISCO NETWORKS SYSTEM.
Cisco has had a few turkey products over the years mostly in their "consumer-grade" gear, but overall in routers they are generally the best (their "consumer-grade" stuff though isn't nearly as good as their "pro-grade" stuff). For switches, they WERE at least matched by 3Com (I'd actually argue the 3Com SWITCHES were better but it was very close) and are still CURRENTLY matched by Netgear pro-level hardware. Cisco DOES get argued with on the high end for routers - but it's by other high-end companies most folks have never heard of because they ONLY make high-end gear. they all have had turkey products...... no one company is immune to bad products no matter how much others like to think different . a lot would be amazed if they knew who really made a lot of the cheaper stuff or even some of the high end stuff..

There's a whole thread on Vega Performance that I'd encourage you to read.
This could be several things. Try switching crossfire to off. That has caused some users issues.
Good news, your suggestion about Crossfire worked! Disabled Crossfire in Global settings. Only 1 card has the option to disable it under Wattman-> Global Settings -> Global Graphics. BTW, my second card now no longer goes into standby mode (little green light by the GPUtach) either. I hope this helps other folks out as well. yup bad idea don't use Cross fire mining it just won't work right . those cards need to stay stand a lone and not share like Cross fire does when mining .

Monero was already dominated by botnets and now with browser javascript miner there's no way individual miners will be able to compete.
that's why I'm building 2 or 3 Servers with 4x 12 core cpu per server for CPU mining for fun.. parts for one will be here Friday it's all for fun. Plus i love building PC's . I found a updated list of coins that are mined best with cpu's gonna Do it for the hell of it and i got nothing better to do.

like he said it's completely up to you to Decide no one can tell you, others may and will give you advice from there point of View but you won't know for sure till you try an that's all you. like you said worse thing if you don't like it, game the cards nothing lost .
I'll warn you if you do like it is very addicting and can turn into a costly hobby, no one i know that mines will say other wise.
if they do there lying ...

unless your cpu has on board video yea or the main PCIe slot it filled with a card that can cause it been there done that lol ..
|
|

yea being up were the Virtual memory setting are if there is nothing set on the Date execution Prevention tab your OK or may be a bad windows install, may be set the VM to 16000 GB,to test it. the Mining software is messed up, get a new copy etc ...
sense you just said that there might be a setting in the mb's Bios that either needs to be turned on or off. like you said.
Glad to see you might have it ...
|
|
|
make sure it's not the block list it's in same area as the virtual setting other wise no idea it doesn't sound like a driver issue .
|
|
|
in that case make sure your Virtual memory is on and at least set to auto other wise no idea why unless you have the DEP set wrong after a clean install .. i have three rigs I use for nothing but mining with a Striped version of win 10 pro on each with a custom made install.wim Installed with a SSD USB drive ..even on my gmaing PC i Strip[ down the install.wim file i hate all the BS i don't need and won't ever use .

What Application ? if gaming and you over clocked the card for mining reset it back to defaults then reboot the PC to be safe, then try .. or turn off any soft ware that controls the Card for mining, an any auto restarts with windows and reboot to be safe, then try.
when I play wow i get that on my every day PC, i use from time to time for mining , if I forget to set it back to defaults before I log into wow or profile with after burner i might have set up for wow.
A few other Application's that use the PC like games will do it to .

one of these http://www.ebay.com/itm/Honeycomb-Case-Metal-Case-For-EXP-GDC-Beast-External-Independent-Video-Card-Dock/112326572075?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&var=412749116572&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649I have thought about trying it to the point i Put one on my watch list on Ebay to keep me reminded ...but with a normal motherboard just to try it. I would think it won't work to well on a laptop for mining but might be ok for gaming unless you have Access to some kind PCIe slot to plug the USB cable into the power part doesn't look like that much of a issue it's the USB from the Raiser card to a PCie slot inside the laptop, i don't think it will work to well over a USB to USB port for mining unless the laptop has a port for a external video card which some do but there not meant for mining but like some one else said don't let that stop you,but if you do it's at your own risk so be careful.!!!
I can see it working with a open air mining rig with no room ... and a free PCIe slot or even with one of the Pcie extenders.

Why doesn't Bitmain put 100% of the D3's they produce to work mining as soon as they come off the line vs. selling them to the public?
Is it because all their mining warehouses are at capacity and they simply can't find/build additional locations to mine with them to keep up with the rate at which they produce them?
I have read the stories about Bitmain "testing" them for weeks/month before selling to the public. But if they are still producing $100/day at that point, why not just keep mining with them? Perhaps the Chinese government has some sort of export mandate forcing to sell at least a certain percentage of them?
lol You guys kill me. Of course they make the D3s (or any other miner) and mine with them for months before selling them to the public. Only when what they are making crosses what the profit will be for selling them do they offer the miners to the public. I get a good laugh to sometimes but why GREED

it's very possible but that depends on how many D3 you plan to run to gather, the hashrate difficulty and other factor's but it is very possible with more then one ... some of those Vid's are misleading . I get the feeling they are paid to lie or told to review those miners and given one for a good review be it a lie or not .. you can all way do the math to find out but that might not be on the money either till you have it. https://www.cryptocompare.com/mining/calculator/dash?HashingPower=40&HashingUnit=MH%2Fs&PowerConsumption=140&CostPerkWh=0.12Right now dash the main coin they were made to mine is going for DASH -340.81 USD but you can mine any x11 coin with them and some other coins i saw posted some place . I won't be able to buy much of anything till next year when I'm out of CC debt..

Why not consider the p106 miner cards? At least you don't play memory chip lottery!
Do you mean that p106 always come with samsung memory chip? no he means they are cards made for mining by that i mean they are set up for mining so no guessing what you have, as far i as i know all the 1060 use the p106 board or all mine do . and mine are not mining cards. This will give you all the info you need for AMD Or NV cards . https://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/

To me it will never be to late to start mining it's more what your willing to put up Cash wise and can afford ... what you want to do with mining etc ... or what do you expect to get out of mining ...
when it will be to late, if it happens is when the coins have no value, then it will be,
Like music from the 70 to 90 that was music, not the shit they call music to day .if you lived during time you know what I mean .
Just a example to try to get my point across so if your living now in this time an you can afford to mine and not worried if your gonna make a living at first, go for it .
You can make a living mining but make sure you know wtf you are doing .. It's all up to you.

I´m wondering how reliable the profit profile switching is and if it picks the right coin to mine. The numbers jump from $5 per day to $0.8 per day. I´ve tested Awesome Miner with 2x GTX 1070 and the software reported a profit of $2 per day wheras Nicehash generates $2.90 per day. The profile groups show also weird results. I´ve benchmarked one GTX 1070 and saved the profile. When selecting that profile in the Coins tab it shows $1.70 profit per day. Then I created a profile group, added the single GPU profile and set the profile count to 2. When I select the group profile the profit jumps to $11 per day. Honestly, the software looks great and has amazing features, but those weird numbers make me doubt.
/Doc
I don't use the profit profile switching either for that reason it never really seems to work right , nothing against Awesome or patrike he seems good at what he does, i won't use anything else but AM to monitor with, right now . But AM does have some set backs again nothing against Patrike or AM, if i did have issue with the software or your skills, i wouldn't use it... unless i had to like CGMINer, i don't care much for and am forced to use in some miners ..when BFG works just as good but they won't support it .

On the GPUs tab in Awesome Miner my AMD cards are showing 0 for the Accepted progress even though I have plenty of accepted shares that show in the Miners list above it. My Nvidia cards show the Accepted values ok.
Bug?
go to GPU tab make sure you have Map to system monitoring on using claymore .... I'm guessing your mining ZEC/zcash and using Claymore for the AMD cards ?. That Might be why you don't see the AMD Card/s shares but do for the NV card sense Claymore zec miner doesn't support NV cards . you have to use a different Software miner for the NV card/s mining Zec/zcash.. that has API access and Claymore doesn't have API access. other wise, no idea why, mine all ways show when i turn on Map to system monitoring.
