Hi, I am running 5 rigs (each with 6* RX 480 8GB XFX XXX). I am running all of them headless with Teamviewer, for which I had to make the onboard graphic my primary source (and disabled rendering of the gpu) .
But when I access the rig now none of the software (f.e. GPU-Z) can show me the temperature of the GPUs. Actually I cannot even access the AMD settings/Wattman etc., or control anything without plugging a monitor in.
In my specific setup plugging in a montitor in all rigs everytime I want to look&change something is a big effort. I read about dummy plugs that I could buy to fake a monitor. But even that is not an option right now for me (living on the ass of the world they will not arrive soon) and I am going on a long trip in 2 weeks.
So is there any other possibility to access those settings when no display is plugged in?
BTW the Motherboard is H81 Pro BTC 2.0
you can with https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=676942.0 Awesome miner on remote PC's, all mine that are remote in my house are headless but one , i only use monitors on them if I update the card drivers but you can access them on any browser but it only works on win PC ... one of my rigs has the same Mother board...you might need a dumbly plug https://www.amazon.com/CompuLab-4K-Display-Emulator-fit-Headless/dp/B00JKFTYA8 i think it's called . i use RDT if I need to do some thing on a PC, don't care much for team viewer it not to bad to use,it is actually nice but i can't get use to it ...

well... its confirmed... in current implementation of cryptonite samsung with 1625 straps give better hash at 1750 than 2000. And now my question, once again to the algo devs: wtf? For my 470 Samsung cards, I loosen the 1625 strap just a bit and run mem @ 2060-2080mhz, which allows me to get good XMR and ETH rates. Its unfortunate there is no silver bullet, because ETH wants one thing, and XMR another, and ZEC yet another. So I've decided to just keep my core clocks lower and run XMR when its warm outside. Also... 470 Hynix can do 750 XMR with 1375 strap @ 1780-1800mhz... but that makes it useless for ETH. But if you are setting up XMR rigs, and want lowest power option, that might be a good option. The way i do it with my 470 is edit the timing in the bios sense ETH uses memory more then any thing and then over clock as needed per coin with all most the same results as using three different bios with afterburner profiles but yea i wish there was one size fits all ... no over clocking profiles needed just switch coins ,,,,,

I'm gonna wait for the 4 core ones to come out @ 150 ,i can't see me buying this one coming in a few days or the 8 core one that can actually be used as 16 like Intel does now .. if it hasn't yet .I'll be happy with 8 cores or 4 cores with 4 vm cores .. and @all most 400 bucks i don't need 16 cores or 8+8 VM cores I know it is a lot cheaper then Intel but would rather wait to see how well they hold up also , i did buy a few FX 8 cores way back when they first came out day one ...not gonna rush it this time ... ...plus I'm about to buy a A4 136 mh ...this year is turning into a very good year for me and my family.

hey anyone got complied version of BFG for the S5 i can give a try , i can't figure out how to compile one.
hello! did you learn how to compile? i tried v5.3 and v5.2 on my antminer s5 via SSH this way: ./configure --host=arm-angstrom-linux-gnueabi --enable-bitmain CFLAGS="-I$PWD/uthash/src -O0 -ggdb" make AR=arm-angstrom-linux-gnueabi-ar
that gives me: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bfgminer 5.2.0 configuration options summary ------------------------------------------------------------------------

this compiled version looks like working, but compiled by me from Luke's git can't find the device. i notice some strange. in my case there is "Enabled..Drivers.....: antminer " but in developer's version "Drivers: bitmain" please give me advice how to compile it. I did compile it but it won't hold up though a reboot of the S5 the S5 system is read only which means you can't write and save it and it reverts back to the old S5 cgminer version, sense, I no longer own any bit main stuff (they cost to much for a hobby) .. or only one miner that is fully working, and useless , i don't use it any more, I gave up trying to get a version compiled i could use like CGminer ...but if you want to see it work on a S5 look at the README.ASIC under KNCMINER (Jupiter) you have to install BFG on the S 5 that way and don't forget to change one or two lines so the S5 driver is active once you compile it.. ( don't reboot it or you may have to do it all over again ).. then go to the top of page and read on how to access a S5 once it is installed , sorry that's the best i can do, i GPU and Script mine now and about to buy a INNOSILICON A4 136 MH and few more GPU's , can't afford much more till next year around this time ... it is and has all ways been a Hobby for me that believe or not does pay for it self over time...but one day i would like to make a few big bucks but that may never happen ..but the extra 300 or so i make a mouth is nice at times.. below is pretty much how I did it on the S5 .. cat >/etc/opkg/feeds.conf <<\EOF src/gz noarch http://feeds.angstrom-distribution.org/feeds/v2013.06/ipk/eglibc/all/ src/gz base http://feeds.angstrom-distribution.org/feeds/v2013.06/ipk/eglibc/armv7ahf-vfp-neon/base/ src/gz beaglebone http://feeds.angstrom-distribution.org/feeds/v2013.06/ipk/eglibc/armv7ahf-vfp-neon/machine/beaglebone/ EOF

opkg install update-alternatives opkg install automake autoconf make gcc cpp binutils git less pkgconfig-dev ncurses-dev libtool nano bash i2c-tools-dev while ! opkg install libcurl-dev; do true; done
curl http://www.digip.org/jansson/releases/jansson-2.0.1.tar.bz2 | tar -xjvp cd jansson-2.0.1 ./configure --prefix=/usr CC=arm-angstrom-linux-gnueabi-gcc --disable-static NM=arm-angstrom-linux-gnueabi-nm make install && ldconfig cd ..

Yes it does but you have to update it on a RPI 2 or lower first if it doesn't boot out the box .. then take the SD and put it in the RPI 3 it should boot up .. if it doesn't Id say do a manual install.. it will then .. like it says here: https://github.com/michelem09/mineradown the page some .!!! were it says Manual install (Some skills needed) Oyea Minera will run anything that can run this type of OS or Linux OS. .. the only thing,I'm not sure about is a cell phone or tablet, it, probable won't but it will run any PI type or PC ... that runs Linux... That work. Does minera work rpi 3 Hey michelem,
when using bfgminer via minere sd, I often get the following nessage: 1) "all pools are dead' while still producing!
In fact, I just restarted that miner without rebooting and pool is alive!
Is message (1) fake at this point and how to prevent this in command line?
Use this or should fix it with BFG ...does for me after the port like this : stratum+tcp://yourpool:port/#xnsub#skipcbcheck or stratum+tcp://yourpool:port/#skipcbcheck

you could setup a local pool proxy server and dns server locally, have all the miners connect through that and you will only have the one machine talking out over the internet. On DSL I am assuming your upload speed is pretty low and this would dramatically reduce the amount of ports/bandwidth used.
That's not a bad idea. Unfortunately It's prob quite a hassle to setup a local mining proxy for a bunch of Altcoins and BTC. Worth considering though. try this one you can run it off a pi ..I use it for alt coin mining... it's not hard to setup and work with script or sha256 pools you can set it to auto switch pools on a timer. https://github.com/Stratehm/stratum-proxyor look at awesome miner https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=676942.0I use both ...

Personally I think zcash should pay the dev fee out of the 20% tax they put on us miners it's bullshit I stopped mining zcash because they launched with no good miner no win wallet a bugging shitty Linux miner than we have to pay 20% tax another 1% to the pool and 2% to the miner dev F zcash I hope it keeps dropping to 0
I fully agree for me it does no good to point that out but it is also only a hobby for me that kind of pays for it self over time ... so I'm happy and i like mining it all for fun ..but if i had a big farm I would be looking at some thing like this ......or some way to pay a one time Fee to stop it ,,, but that's me.. over time he makes more with Fees then if pay him upfront and why i all ways try to buy it, not rent it, i want to feel like, I'm not being F ...

basically what im asking is are all 6 of my GPU's per rig working together to find shares, or are they all completely independant? example: will 2 rigs of 3 gpus each find a "equal" amount of shares as 1 rig of 6?
I'm not sure how to Answer this but here goes they are independant but work to gather as one rig by that i mean you can't make one GPU mine on this POOL while another one in the same Rig mines else were but each one has it own engine and memory and works independant without sharing with the other GPU's but the pool only shows 6 cards as one ...but the software miner does show what each card is doing ... i think you can run two on one Pool and two another POOL in the same rig if you load in two instances of the same software on the same rig but it is hard to do . is that what you want to know ? .

My hashrates are the same before and after using this program.
Claymore miners already have a nofee option? Could you elaborate
Readme!!!.txt This miner is free-to-use, however, current developer fee is 2% if you use secure SSL/TLS connection to mining pool, every hour the miner mines for 72 seconds for developer. If you use unsecure connection to mining pool, current developer fee is 2.5%, every hour the miner mines for 90 seconds for developer. If you don't agree with the dev fee - don't use this miner, or use " -nofee" option. Attempts to cheat and remove dev fee will cause a bit slower mining speed (same as " -nofee 1") though miner will show same hashrate. -nofee set "1" to cancel my developer fee at all. In this mode some recent optimizations are disabled so mining speed will be slower by about 5%. By enabling this mode, I will lose 100% of my earnings, you will lose only 2.5% of your earnings. So you have a choice: "fastest miner" or "completely free miner but a bit slower". If you want both "fastest" and "completely free" you should find some other miner that meets your requirements, just don't use this miner instead of claiming that I need to cancel/reduce developer fee, saying that 2.5% developer fee is too much for this miner and so on. I can not find it in Ethereum miner. It is for ZCash, but I am making for Ethereum That's because the ETH miner doesn't have it i even tried it one time with the ETH miner it didn't work by that mean the miner would not hash if i used the no Fee option with the ETH miner but i have no complaints what so ever with the fee for the ETH miner it is fair and reason able but i do with the ZEC but I'm not gonna voice it , all i feel i need to say is i do ..and use the -nofee 1 he at least gave us that ..for the Zec miner

claymores miners already have the nofee option, it is a simple annotation if the start line . so why would someone use this that slows down the mining ? simply to not pay the fee? well i guess im not the one to judge this project as i am of a different value in life and i think that using a double double to triple the lesser part of a single simply not to pay for the original is a stupid way around things if claymores miners already have the NOFEE option
The ETH Miners does ? I know the ZEC miners does ...

IF you mean me i did say about the same mine do with CM 27 MH with a modded bios i get about 25 to 26 MH with gate less for ETH but ETH I'm not to worried about and don't have a Problem using CM's ETH miner the 1 % fee doesn't brother me like the Fee for his other miners does and I never complained about the ETH miner fee it seems reasonable, i don't use any of his other miners, i don't need to gate less or other miners match them ..all but ZEC ..I use windows because i like the Freedom i get using it; works out the box not much to set up etc .. with PC's and Use Linux on PI's ...
