3581  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does Trading have an advantage over investing?? on: February 08, 2021, 06:26:38 AM
Trading or investing ..does Trading pay more than investing

This highly depends on your skill and experience as a trader.

Remember that in investing, people would usually purchase BTCs and let it sit either for short or long-term depending on its price on the market. On the other hand, trading involves a more technical and complex approach as you are playing with the market. I read an article before that 97% of the short-term traders lose money on the first month of trading, so you better be careful which approach you should focus on.

Personally, since I do not have that time, experience, and skill to trade, I would prefer to purchase and invest btcs and to HODL them for the time being.
3582  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What has been your longest streak of dice losses using martingale ..? on: February 08, 2021, 03:24:46 AM
I’m just trying to collect some data, also I guess this post will be useful for the rest of the forum users.

In my case, in 2018 I loss 32 times one after another using the dice system on freebitco.in.

Greetings

I remember, me and my brother visited a casino in our home country. We just received our monthly savings from our parents and my brother decided to gamble half of his savings since we will be going on a vacation on the next day. He had around $500 at that time and he started gambling $2 from betting either RED, BLACK, or GREEN colors. He lost 8 consecutive times which amounted to $256. At his last bet, he used his personal money and he actually won $1024 and from there, we stopped playing.

I usually recommend the martingale strategy of betting if you have sufficient capital to fund your every bet. The reason on why you bet twice the amount every time you loss is that you can recover such losses in one bet. Though risky if you have a losing streak, but as long as you have the money to fund every bet, then I highly recommend this strategy.
3583  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] Allot (DeFi) - Plagiarized Whitepaper on: February 07, 2021, 10:50:24 AM
Domain relatively new and  whitepaper is copied, signs of a scam project and using the DeFi bandwagon to promote that scam only makes it more obvious.

BTW, did you check the website for the "Team" pictures? A bunch of cartoons images are posted there. I suppose that is their "TEAM" Roll Eyes

Yea I did but thanks for bringing it out! Though a team member list that contains cartoon images are not sufficient to conclude that a project is a scam, but if you pair it with a plagiarized whitepaper then such evidence becomes necessary to conclude it as a scam project.

Flag has been supported from my end. There is a "A-llot" of red flags here.

I kinda chuckled on this pun haha! Thank you for supporting the flag and I hope other trusted members also support the flag as well.

Last month, nakita ko yung buong transaction ID ko and nakita ko yung total received bitcoins ko since 2018, and it amounted to around ~P700,000.

I also have a friend na nag-trade din siya ng bitcoin niya pero hindi siya nagtratrabaho sa mga BPOs. Malaki ang kinikita niya pero malaki din kasi yung puhunan niya (around 10-20 btcs).
3585  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The pump and dump scheme on: February 07, 2021, 04:43:54 AM
This is very informative and clearly explained.

At first, I thought that pump and dumps were categorized and reconigze as a technique made by capitalists who owns majority of the stock of the coin. As they have majority of the coins in possession, they control the price due to the supply/demand law.

The problem with the pump and dump scheme falls on the investors who invest their money without even knowing what they are investing on. As what most have mentioned, they merely jump on the 'hype train' and once the hype is over and they purchased the coin during ATH, they blame the entire thing and categorize it as a 'scam'.
3586  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: There is no certainty in trading on: February 06, 2021, 11:49:46 PM
I want us to understand that no mind can control or know a token direction with total certainty; which is why there are always dump (or price corrections as you may call it). The only certainty while trading crypto currency is PROBABILITIES; because in trading, at every moment there are so many different possibilities, entries and even exits; your level of interpretation will determine the one you go for and also prepare for when the market does not obey your predictions

This is why you have to be consistent in your 'right' process.

I also think that this applies to stocks as well or in investing in general as we rely on probabilities. If there is any absolute guarantee on the results of something, then most probably, all of us would have been rich at this point.

Trading cryptocurrencies rely heavily on its volatility on the market. With its supply and demand, its price may change without any notice. I remember, I have an acquaintance who traded bitcoin as his primary job. Although he earns big amounts of return, he also losses big since the amount he wagers is around 10-20 btc per transaction.

3587  Economy / Economics / Re: Nigerian Banks To Close Accounts Involved with Crypto on: February 06, 2021, 11:12:00 PM
It almost feels like a crime to be a common man in a country where the political system is unfair to the citizens as Nigeria. Indians are doing it, Bangladash and now Nigeria has decided to join in. The same Nigeria that not too long ago where looking at ways of incorporating cryptocurrency into the federal reserve and possibly other blockchain technology. Its obvious what a country we are in when we are head by leaders that aren't thinking but depends on peoples opinion, the stakes in it for them and in all that, the common man doesn't have a say.

I find it ironic that these countries that are considered to be 'developing countries' prohibit such opportunity for their citizens to experience and to earn significant amounts of cash. Relatively, these people are the ones who need it the most and the government prohibits such transaction for these cryptocurrencies.

Although I do understand that there are disadvantages of having a decentralized currency with anonymous transactions, the advantages it provides outweighs such. I do thin that the government needs to think its reforms and its priorities for its people. The more they prohibit such opportunity, the more that they are hindering themselves to development.

3590  Economy / Economics / Re: Does Bitcoin Help The Poor on: February 05, 2021, 10:06:16 PM
Those who wish to help the poor can donate money to charities or propose government assistance. Bitcoin may yet be another method.

One thing that bitcoin gives is that it provides the opportunity for these below-average income earners to earn passive income for either short or long-term investment.

In addition, it also provides the opportunity to these poor people to be in the same footing as rich people in terms of accessibility of purchasing such coin. Bitcoin has opened the doors for both these poor and rich people the opportunity to earn significant amount of cash depending on your luck as an investor.
Personally, this forum has enabled me to earn while at the same time focus on my post-graduate studies simultaneously.
3591  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Floyd Mayweather vs Curtis Jackson (50 Cent) on: February 05, 2021, 07:16:53 AM
Mayweather isnt really tired on making these exhibition fights? Fighting with a Rapper? What in the world is happening?  Grin

50 cent had some history of boxing in the past as an amateur when he's still a teenager. Seriously?

Well since both of them are experts and famous on their respective fields, I am pretty sure that the market for this kind of fight is relatively huge.

Floyd Mayweather is all about money. Anything that gives him more money (i.e. exhibition fights, etc.) would most probably be his priority in the upcoming years. I think I also stumbled upon his upcoming fight with Logan Paul (although suspended and moved to an indefinite date) but imagine fighting these amateurs and earning millions in return. Dude even if I was in his position, I would probably do the same thing.

Hi upon checking the website and the whitepaper posted, I observed that you copied exactly the whitepaper of divisionblock. A staggering 97% or approximately 2400 words were copied and stolen from divisionblock. Should you ignore my accusation against this project, I will be compelled to open a scam accusation against this project.

Please check the reference below, thanks!

3593  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Digital Oman Rial Stable Coin backed by Omani Rial Minting Begins on: February 05, 2021, 03:02:50 AM
Will it be possible if you could provide more information about the said project? I checked the website and what contained there was the information you also provided in this ANN thread. In addition, will it also be possible if you could include a whitepaper, a brief explanation of the project, and a photo of your team members so we could verify the authenticity of this project?

I really hope to hear from you soon, thanks!
3594  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 99% money in Crypto is dumb money. They buy expensive shitcoins on: February 04, 2021, 02:46:21 PM
Some people just like to make more money over time than their savings would make in crappy fiat banks. You mentioned a 150% return on ETH as a possibility, which probably will happen this year or certainly within the next few years. Where else can you get a 150% return in traditional fiat investments? You certainly won’t get it from an average mainstream banking savings account, especially now.

Throwing money in to new alts is risky. I’m 100% bitcoin any way but i understand why people buy ETH etc.

I highly agree with your statement.

Some altcoins, like ETH, XRP, etc. can be considered as a "safe investment" since they have proven itself on the market every bull run. In the case of new altcoins, however, they are definitely risky. While it may seem appealing to invest into new altcoins especially if they offer very promising returns or ideologies, they are still risky as anyone can just run away with the invested capital.

Bitcoin will still be the reigning cryptocurrency even to the years to come. Purchase and HODL it for long-term for maximum profit at the end of the day.
3595  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Another insane win!! $ 1B mega million jackpot on: February 04, 2021, 01:54:43 PM
This is the 2nd big win i saw recently which is quite amazing. Recently Toronto women win jackpot lottery. Its seems many people are winning lottery and jackpots as 2021 looks lucky for the gamblers and risk takers.

More people are engaged into this kind of stuff due to the number of people winning. In addition, with this ongoing pandemic, people are more inclined to testing their luck where it purchasing a ticket is convenient for them.

In addition, I also think that the number of people who try their luck has significantly increase due to the pandemic. But try to imagine winning that amount of money, dude, you are settled for life.

3596  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What to avoid as a beginner in trading Bitcoin? on: February 03, 2021, 09:29:50 AM
Starting out with cash..? Does journaling truly help ?

Remember if you are short-trading, avoid being greedy too much. In addition, even if you have the power to initiate your trades, DO NOT forget to remain 10% of your profits overtime. Imagine, you just set aside let's say around 100$/week, by the time you retire, you would be able to enjoy those winnings in the LONG-TERM.

In short, don't be afraid to cash out your profits. Even if garnering a profit in trading may be relatively difficult, avoid being greedy and as soon as you profit, decide on whether to cash it out or not. Be ready, however, you will be facing lots of mistakes and learnings along the way.
3597  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can I get rich by trading on: February 03, 2021, 03:17:58 AM
If you have a lot of money to start trading and you are good and knowledgeable about trading, I think that you can get rich. The funds will be the priority because if you are trading with pennies then you will need a miracle and patience for an instant wealth to happen to you.

Before I used to know better, I always say this statement that a trader needs 'capital' in order profit. But upon extensive research, I have realized that trading is definitely risky and the odds are relatively low in earning profit.

An article was published stating that 97% of the people who engage in the trading profession resulted into a loss. The remaining 3%, however, profited which amounted to a bank teller's monthly wage. Though these are considered SHORT-TERM trading, if you really want to focus into this profession then expect incurring loss in the first few attempts.
3598  Economy / Economics / Re: Rich have too much on: February 02, 2021, 03:51:16 PM
Rich have too much !!'
Nedd laws the money u dont use long time will be taken and goved to poor

Lets take and share to poor more taxes and taxes % to me im poor
Time for revolution !!!

While I do think that rich people are getting richer by today's standards, implementing a law that will just donate cash to the poor will be detrimental in the long-run.

What is essential is the creation of job opportunities and access of education to the poor. In addition, healthcare services should also be free to the people which should be coming from the taxes. In a progressive tax system, those who have more should contribute more to the government but its revenue must be maximized in order to see the effects of it to the below-average earner.
