361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CPU mining if you had a TON of computers (servers) on: September 14, 2017, 09:00:55 AM
There are not a lot of coins still CPU mineable...
You can try XMR/Monero but you will spend a lot of money with electricity and it is pretty sure that you will lost money.
And there is the probleme of the heat/refresh of all these CPUs with 100% charge...

@Minereum / dev :

Here is a recap of the question we are interesting for.

1 - So just to clarify, if we want to have multiple genesis addresses, so we can sell one later on, we would need to contribute using multiple 'myetherwallet' addresses too ?

2 - If I sell a Genesis Address, do I keep my ETH-Address and the contract is converted to the buyers ETH-Wallet? Otherwise I can´t be sure that the seller burns the private key from that wallet.

3 - Since the self mining contract is tied to Ethereum mining blocks what then happens when Ethereum switch to POS ? will the self mining contract cease to work? according to many people ETH POS is to commence soon !

4 - Can explain with more details and some examples the ARTEMINE public mining ?

5 - I let the community to maintain the list and add the nexts questions :-).

Thanks for you reply.
364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Minereum - First Self Mining Smart Contract - ARTEMINE ICO ON SEPTEMBER 14 on: September 14, 2017, 07:45:15 AM
ARTE ICO will begin in 7 hours and MNE price is not jumping... it is falling down...
And now, there is a lot of sell orders , and a lot are big, very big : many are over 100 MNE and even one at 500 MNE.
Who are selling in such quantities for a so low price ? Why ?
365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Artemine - First Self Mining Smart Contract 2.0 - ICO Starts Sep. 14 on: September 13, 2017, 10:05:56 PM
I checked the website just now, there is no timer to notify when the ICO is going to start, and when the second day is going to kicks in, this is very important just to guide potential investors

You sure you went to the right website.....the count down timer is on the top right
ARTEMINE ICO will start on september 14 at 17 h UTC (19 h for France).
The ICO will run 30 days.

It is a "first day ICO" because this day you have a 400% bonus (1000 ARTE vs. 250 at the ICO end).
Quote
Exchange rates    1 ETH (+/- 300 USD)    10 MNE (+/- 50 USD)
               Day 1    1000 ARTE    1000 ARTE
  Day 2 - Day 10    667 ARTE     500 ARTE
Day 11 - Day 19    500 ARTE     333 ARTE
Day 20 - Day 25    400 ARTE     286 ARTE
Day 26 - Day 30    333 ARTE     250 ARTE

Note :
1000 Arte (1 ETH or 10 MNE first day ICO) are mining 0.0432 ARTE/day.
Then, for all time holder, 240 MNE will buy 24.000 ARTE who are mining 24 x 0.0432 ARTE = 1,0368 ARTEMINE each day.

Yes, don't worry about the dump this days.
There is some rumors about chinese government and about JPMorgan.
Chines government : Bitcoin is worlwide and can rune whithout.
JPMorgan : LOL.

It's time to buy Bitcoins !
367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Running Mining RIGS on UBUNTU - USB Drive on: September 13, 2017, 02:58:38 PM
Hello Friends

I am exploring a way to run my mining Rigs on UBUNTU and using USB Drive

Is such possible?
Some said Linux has less hash rate than Windows? Is it true?

The reason to go with USB is to save huge costs in buying SSDs if you are building huge quantity of RIGs, say 100+

Can you please guide me the best solution, is the following possible

1) I make one USB, install UBUNTU in it, install Graphics Drivers, Install Miners...
2) Than i make a Copy of this Master USB to all other USBs..
3) And than plug the USBs to each of the rigs..
4) And run it..

Is this the way.. or what is the correct solution.

Would appreciate some guidance.

Thank You
Using GPUs miners with Ubuntu installed on USB key is working very well and probably the more cheapest way to GPU mine.
I use this solution since years.
No specific difficulty : in contray of Windows, Ubuntu is made to work on HD/SSD and USB key : no problems.

Perfect...
What would i need to install in USB.. is my stepping right as highlighted above.
Please share your steps..
Did you set this way for how many Rigs.. ?

Or should i go with the Network Booting solution.. (i still am confused how to set that up)
No specific way for an USB drive (key or external drive) installation with Ubuntu.
You download the Ubuntu installer and run it.

For example, you can use an Ubuntu CD ISO image and run the installation from an external USB CD drive to install Ubuntu on an other USB drive (key or HDD).

Can someone please tell me if i can buy more than 1000 Artemine on same ETH address?
Probably yes : there is nothing in the white paper to think there will be a limit by ETH address / Genesis address.
Be carreful : genesis address is not the same thing than Ethereum address.

Why did you think there can be a limit for Ethereum address ?

About MNE transfert to Livecoin : how long it takes ?

The site write 29 confirmations.
29 confirmations are 9 mn 40 s.
But in my case, 15 mn hare passed and nothing.

How long for your experience ?

Something not normal in Livecoin, I made a transfer to there 4 days ago and is still pending.
Finally, no problem here : the deposit was coming a few minutes after my post.
First time with this exchange and for this first experience, this I have a good feeling.
A lot of security features (password, PIN, 2FA, white IP list...) : very good for an exchange (chinese).

With 10 MNE, you will buy the same amount of ARTE than with 1 ETH (via the first day ICO).
1 ETH is 0.07 btc / 230 €, then MNE price can grow to 0.007 btc / 23 € : this is a x7 potential in a few hours (from now to the ICO begining, tomorrow).
Curious to see the ME market in the next days : will see.
373  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people left their full-time employment to go into Bitcoin? on: September 13, 2017, 08:04:47 AM
I was talking to a friend the other day and he told me that two of his friends has left their full-time employment to concentrate on their Bitcoin ventures. < One in Crypto currency trading and the other into imports & exports, linked to ecommerce >

In light of the fact that Bitcoin is still experimental and very volatile, would you say that this was a good or a bad decision and would you do the same?

How many people have done this already?
"How many people left their full-time employment to go into Bitcoin?"

The right problem now with the economic crises is :
"How many people have a full-time employement ?"
That is the reality :-(.
And what job for the futures generations ?

Hi All,

Artemine just got mentioned on Huffington Post:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/59b81251e4b02c642e4a11bc

We are currently working on the final details of the ICO and we will provide more details soon.

now this is what we need!  This is a GREAT mention!  You also build instant credibility with this kind of coverage!  Good work!!!

This is not real News, check the bottom of the post.

“This post is hosted on the Huffington Post’s Contributor platform. Contributors control their own work and post freely to our site. If you need to flag this entry as abusive, send us an email.”

ANYONE CAN MAKE A POST ON THERE, ANYONE CAN SUBMIT AN “ARTICLE”

DEV STIL HASNT ANSWERED QUESTIONS, NOW IS JUST POSTING FAKE NEWS ARTICLES

Alright, calm down, it's not 'fake news' Donald Trump just not a massive PR mention like the dev is making it out to be.  That being said, the word is getting out there and what matters most, not sure why dumbasses like you have to make everything so fucking dramatic in cryptoland....

I’m just pointing it out that the devs only come in here to publish a misleading article making people think it’s had news coverage when it’s just HufPo’s blog for anyone to post on.
Still haven’t had any answers from him, just other users quickly pushing other critical comments further down in this thread

Critical comments? Half of your post was in all caps and void of any addressable questions or concerns whatsoever, how exactly do you expect a busy developer take time out of his/her day to address a "critical comment" such as yours?  Yeah, I don't know either, because it's just another panicky hater post with no content......
Everybody can critic what he want : what is your problem ?
And the critic his here totally legit :
 - the dev never post to reply to our technical, financial quastions,
 - when the dev post, it is to lie for a media referal.
It is not serious...
375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Comparison of Privacy-Oriented Cryptocurrencies? on: September 13, 2017, 06:15:04 AM
I'm wondering if anyone knows of a good, detailed comparison of the features and capabilities (and weaknesses) of cryptocurrencies that boast of having anonymous transactions. Ideally I'd like to see a chart with a long list of features, etc., comparing each of the cryptos - Dash, Zcash, Monero, Spectrecoin, BitcoinDark and so on. Does anyone know of anything like that? Or at least a good review of privacy-focused cryptos giving the highlights of each?
For my part, the only reals privacy currenies are :
 Monero (XMR)
 ZCoin (XZC)
 ZCash (ZEC)
But, from these 3, only ZCoin has the MTP feature implemented, then this is the only one who can guarantee your privacy.
If you choos a detailed source with the fetailled feature of all these currencies, tanks to share :-).
376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 7nm ASICs an 7nm chips maybe next year some time . on: September 13, 2017, 06:02:48 AM
According to this email i just got we might have 7NM video cards and maybe 7nm ASICs next year some time for a few years before it hits 5nm and the good part not from China but from Japan a free nation ....

Still gonna cost but a good step in who controls what .so cost and Customer service might not be as bad as it is now for ASICs miners bought from china, Mainly CS...might be better ..plus stuff bought from china might be cheaper not better but a lot cheaper..

http://1stminingrig.com/mining-news-7nm-asics-thing/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+1stMiningRig+%281st+Mining+Rig%29
The ASIC mining market is sleeping since 2 years or a little more.
7 nm chips will be a good thing for new miners. From Japan, USA or Europe will be a much better thing for every body (except chineses).
For my part, I hope a little passiv ASIC miner (~25 W) or a new USB stick (3-5 W).
For the GPU market, the next new product will be nVidia Volta, but not before 6 months... or more : we can expect a GTX 2070 for only 100 W and a upgrade in hashrate.
377  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: My Wallet is not connecting to Bitcoin network on: September 12, 2017, 10:58:36 PM
My Wallet is not connecting to Bitcoin network.   The last time it was running the block took over two weeks and when it arrived just over 70% it stopped working.  Now I try each day to get the wallet to connect to get in sync again but no luck yet.  What can I do?  I downloaded Bitcoin Core - Wallet (testnet) and the bottom message Connecting to peers states 6 years and 31 weeks behind.  I installed my original wallet in 2011
First, don't use testnet but mainnet.
If your firewall is correctly set and you have no warning rom your anti-virus, this is probably your database or an corrupted index (when the wallet stopped to work).
The best is to save your wallet and begining again the blockchain download (delete the database and the indexes).

no communication days before the announcement. worrying  Angry

That's what they've always done, ...
It is true, and it is not his better quality :-).

It was acceptable for MNE for two reasons :
 1) MNE was not an ICO but an airdrop.
 2) MNE is a lot more simple smart contract compared to ARTE.

ARTE is an ICO and it' smart contract is a lot more complex than MNE : if the dev wants the success of ARTE, it must communicate and answer the questions.

Can anyone explain with more precision than the white paper how works the "Public mining" (point 3 in the white paper) ?
How works the call, the reward ?
What does it mean by "Artemine Smart Contract function PublicMine will allow anyone to mine coins (excluding Genesis Addresses)"
380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Minereum - First Self Mining Smart Contract - ARTEMINE ICO ON SEPTEMBER 14 on: September 12, 2017, 07:35:26 AM
...If you want to sell 1000 MNE here it takes ages to get your order filled.
Not so long.
24 h volume for MNE was these days a little less than 15 btc.
With a MNE at 0.00085 btc.
Then 17,500 MNE are trading in one day (and in only 2 exchanges).
