361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Secure your crypto wealth by not having it all in crypto on: December 20, 2023, 06:01:06 AM
Yes, crypto makes someone become rich but the idea of keeping all our money in it is somewhat carries a huge risk of losing them all in an instant. Indeed, it was not a safe investment, and many stories we have heard that many had lost their money due to scams and hacking. We should anticipate such a thing before experiencing it because there is no way of turning back the time and getting our money. That is why I only invest 50% in crypto and 50% in local investment. I couldn't say that I was not a risk-taker but I'd just think about the security of my investment as this is what matters most if you are in this field, not just about earning money (huge).
362  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does technical analysis work in crypto trading? on: December 20, 2023, 03:32:36 AM
For all my 5 months in trading, I'm learning only technical analysis but now everyone is talking about the concept of "Smart Money". So I think that trading is changing and speculators should stop trading based on technical analysis. Or smart money just a concept that cannot possibly work in the market,
Those which are often referred as smart money also use technical analysis, it is just that they are better than the majority at using that skill, whether this is because their abilities are superior or because they are so powerful they can influence the market by themselves as it is the case of the whales, however make no mistake, as long as the market is big enough and it is not heavily manipulated then technical analysis will work on it, however this is not magic and a margin of error will always exist and your predictions could always go wrong from time to time.
In the bottom line, Technical Analysis plays a key role in our trading career. However, this won't give us assurance that everything went well due to the volatility and unpredictable price trend of the market. Therefore, there is no easy money in trading, all of us must struggle with how to understand the behavior of the market and act accordingly based on our TA. If it fails, then we have to accept it rather than blame it because this is naturally happens in trading otherwise, we stop. Or improve our knowledge and skills...
363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have any one had experiences with banned bank/providers because of gambling? on: December 19, 2023, 03:31:08 PM
I haven't experience this as all my bank accounts are not enrolled online. I mean, I can view it online but I cannot transact like fund transfer, so I can say it's say for me being a person who constantly gamble. Nowadays, it's easier to use online wallets, so it's not a problem anymore to gamble online if the online wallet we are using is supported by the gambling site.

I have this online wallet which are regulated by the central bank, the same agency that are regulating the banks, I'm using it for online gambling and until now it's still active, so I have no problem about getting banned or anything related.
364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing altcoins now or during halving? on: December 19, 2023, 11:20:34 AM
We're still uncertain of what will happen after halving but as we have experienced in the past halving, the market moves high and most of us also believe that the trend will be the same. But should we have to wait for that before investing? I don't think that was a wise move because if we witness that it pumps, we miss the chance to buy them at a cheaper price - regrets are what we get.

If we are just about to invest, why not do it now? In fact, there is no perfect time to buy but we believe that bull season will come a few years from now and I think we are already in good time to prepare.
365  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is hard!!! on: December 18, 2023, 05:21:25 AM
Only a few people understood the concept of trading which is why only a few traders then succeeded.
Saying it was hard and risky is undeniable because that is the truth but why do some people push themselves to do it despite those things is because they saw the opportunity there and they understand that there is no easy job in the world, everything has risk and needs hard work. Therefore, if someone promised and said that they could make money easily, then it was a big scam - that is a Ponzi Scheme and it was not trading.
366  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you confident betting on handicap for heavy favorites or heavy underdog? on: December 17, 2023, 02:56:22 AM
When I was new in sports betting I was so confident with betting on low spreads. IIRC, my limit that time was -3.5 and I love to take on the moneyline because I thought it could give a high percentage of winning, unfortunately it didn't work well as my bet usually wins but the odds I'm getting on favorites are very low, so in the long run I still lose money.

now, I feel like i have matured, I now see a high handicap like a trap, so I choose the favorites with high spread most of the time. Based on my observation (not really taking record) I am a bit ahead.  Smiley
367  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 17, 2023, 01:53:02 AM
Yes, and most likely Manny Pacquiao put up his own promotional company to help his countryman to become champion and he has accomplished that already. Those are some familiar names in their stable and think about it, if it grows then we might see more Filipinos becoming champion and then they can go back to the old glory wherein at least 4 or 5 reigning champions are all from the Philippines.

Right now though, I'm not sure if there is one champion, last time I heard it was Jerusalem, but he already lost the belt (correct me if I'm wrong).

So hopefully, Magsayo or Ancajas will bring the championship back to the Philippines again and win belts.

Yes, that is the purpose of that promotional company, to help Filipino boxers and have connections with big promoters in the United States.

MP Promotions has been successful in promoting Magsayo, Ancajas and the latest was Marlon Tapales. If not for MP Promotions, Tapales might not be a world champion and he may not be in this situation where he can be a unified champion in the 122-pound division.
They have Ancajas too? I thought he has been promoted by other company, but good to know that. Filipino boxers are known to be hard working in their training, I mean they have to because they don't have a lot of opportunity to make it to the top, and with this MP promotion, it's great opportunity for them, and hopefully this MP promotion will grow that it will be able to compete with the big promotions like Top Rank and other popular companies.

Who knows that Manny Pacquaio's son might be the next champion under MPP, Eman Pacquaio is quite serious on his boxing career and he is also a heavy-handed like his father. Recently he won via KO in the first round, his second fight on the pro level as his first fight was a draw.

When is his son going to be pro? I thought you're just kidding when you say it's his son because he wasn't popular by his name Eman, I known him as Jimuel, but I did some research and had verified it's the same peson.
368  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk - February 2024 in Saudi Arabia on: December 15, 2023, 12:09:19 PM

Yeah, I think with Usyk's boxing skills, it's really hard to see either of them dominating the fight. If it goes to the judges scorecard, it could be 8-4 the worst, or then 6-6 for a draw but we will see. It's going to be interesting who's going to bring it more specially in the championship rounds.

Of course, as boxing fans, we will have speculations and scenarios that think that might happen in this fight. But definitely, it will be a back and forth fight, maybe this could be a difficult fight for Fury as he hasn't fought any fighter that has a good movement and very intelligent like him.

Sorry but I think Usyk was just hype. Fury hasn't been active recently so the attention was focus on Usyk, but if we look at the boxers that both have previously defeated, you can see that the quality goes to Fury. The odds says it all, Fury is a slight favorite, however, I think that's quite undervalued because of his performance against Francis. Don't be deceive guys, Fury is gonna win this fight via domination again, even if Usyk would be able to throw a lucky punch that will put Fury on the canvas, Fury's always gonna rise and win the fight.
369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: December 15, 2023, 11:16:58 AM
87-101 is the score, BTW, I had TNT -9.5 with 2.00 odds.  Grin

Sorry bro, this doesn't go your way. I didn't watch the game but it looks like they sit RHJ early giving the Blackwater a chance to win the 4th quarter. You fall short by 0.5 only because they only won by 9 points, such a bad bet. Actually TNT could have covered that spread if they continue their aggressive plays, but they seemed to complacent as they  know they would already win the game.
370  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What should newbies do in trading? on: December 14, 2023, 02:19:12 PM
As far as I am concerned new traders should learn about what trading is all about. It is not an easy task to do if you are not experienced about trading. As experienced traders have made a profit by trading they have to put in a lot of effort. They also did not learn everything in one day so newbies should come to trading after knowing all the rules and tricks of the trade. Take time to learn trade evaluate the market based on your own experience do not rush.
We can't expect a newbie will have a good and profitable trade but rather expect more on losses. However, I could understand that situation because they are still learning, and losing is a part of it and the things that would help us to understand what trading is all about.
Indeed, there is an evaluation in the end, and this time we could decide if we are able to push through or stop. Perhaps, there are a lot of things that a newbie must learn and one of them is to accept losses and the 2nd thing is they must adopt the market volatility.
371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bankroll! on: December 14, 2023, 12:41:41 PM
Who are these people that are dreaming of investing in sports betting? I'm sure that there's not a lot of people that are going to do that even when you make it look logical, sounds to me like you're creating fictional people that are considering investing in sports betting because I haven't seen a lot of users posting here that even consider that not even the NBA or Football mega threads. But if you're talking about short-term funds for sports betting then I would say I'd be comfortable to have around 200 USD because it's a safe amount, not too big for me but at the same time enough for me to make some profit in case I get a win in my bet.

They are the people who believe that making money in sports is possible. 1% of the total gamblers  or sports bettor are making money which will make them an exceptional bettors if they'll be successful with it. Everyone of us starts with a dream, I think it's okay to dream as long as you know your limit, at least once if your life you were able to do the things that you wanted to, if you fail, then back to the basic, which is to consider gambling as fun.

That's very low, so it suggested that we are trying to venture into a business with only 1% chance of winning, you must be having some kind of weird thinking if you ever go into sports betting making money. However, since there are still people who tried their luck despite knowing the chance are low, so I salute their courage as a sports bettor like me would be happy seeing someone getting successful in sports betting, it's quite fulfilling.
372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How exactly do you find new tokens before they blow up. on: December 14, 2023, 11:42:51 AM
This question is to help guide newbies on how to spot new gems themselves.
I believe the best way for people with small liquidity to make good money from the bull market is to invest in small cap projects before they get big.

I’ve always asked gurus( that post is 100X and ask you to join their private telegram) this question but none of them ever give a detailed answer. All they say is DYOR, I mean I’m asking because I want to know how exactly to do my research. Can anyone give a detailed explanation on how to find new projects as they are launching before they gain attention.
Well, the answer is NO because we never know exactly what will happen next unless you are the creator of the project and you know already when to pump the price or when to drop. But as a gems seeker, no matter what you do, there is no assurance for that as we just found it when the hype started already.

Joining telegram is just a way that leads you to have wrong information and a way to lose (scam). Don't get very close to social media influencers and much more in telegram just to avoid getting scammed otherwise, you'll be their target.
373  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will we see repeat of 2017 or new trend? on: December 13, 2023, 08:31:14 AM
Will we see repeat of 2017 or new trend?

It wasn't a trend, it was just a long bearish period.
And yeah we might be seeing another prolonged bearish market in the next couple of years, but I'm quite positive 2024 is most likely a bullish year. post halving in 20202 wasn't as bad as 2017 though, which I think a prolonged bearish run might not gonna happen in the next 10 years considering bitcoin adaption today is becoming more better than before. Bitcoin price might just play sideways after the 2024 halving and not totally a downward spiral.
2017 is a bullish season and OP is asking if we could experience the same or another ATH.
Every time the bull season comes, we expect a more positive response on the market price bringing it high. We're supposed to believe because that was already happen last bull run. Now, we are expecting another double of the previous ATH, quite achieving though but yes, we still don't have any assurance for this. For me, the next bull season 2024-2025 was not far from the previous years, we still expect such an uprising trend.
374  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and patience on: December 13, 2023, 06:49:39 AM

Monitoring the price of your holding everyday will earn you nothing, but since we are all humans, it will makes us want to react to some price changes which is not good for the goal of getting filthy rich in the crypto space.
Perhaps, it only gives us stress, especially upon checking the price dump and sometimes this is the reason why we could think negatively and even sell our coins. If we are investing, whether it is short-term or long-term, we can never expect a profit right away like buying today and making a profit by tomorrow. The idea of checking every day is not a good practice for real investors as they will just check when they hear good news and just hold when they hear negative news. I think checking once a month is good enough, in fact, we can also check the market chart so we are still aware of whether we are in a profit already or not.
375  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: December 13, 2023, 02:53:17 AM
Back to the action.

2 games will be played today.

First game DYIP vs Converge. I'm leaning on the converge here as they have a good chance of breaking their losing streak against a team that aren't so strong. While on the 2nd game, we have TNT vs NLEX, and since NLEX has been struggling so far, I'm not backing them this game, instead TNT is going to be my pick. I might just parlay the TNT + Converge bet.

You'll get at least +100 if you do a parlay on the two favorites.

Currently, the spread are as follows.

1- Converge -3
2- TNT -7.5

I'm sure NLEX will be so desperate to win here as with their new import, they haven't won a game yet. Last time they were blown out by the ROS losing by 12 points,  so with TNT, I don't think they have a chance to win specially that TNT's import is so dominant.
376  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A gambler takes his own life after a loss. on: December 13, 2023, 02:03:01 AM
That is so sad but can't blame that to gambling but his addiction.

However, ending our life because we made mistakes losing a lot of money is still a wrong decision. It's not ours to end it, God gave that to us so he's the only one allowed to take it. Man, this is a sad story, so we have to learn from this and that is by being responsible in gambling.

How to be responsible in gambling? (you can search more on google if you want to know, but I have few list I could share).

1-start with funds in gambling what you can afford only
2-Don't be greedy
3- have fun and always be realistic about winning and losing, none of us lose or win everyday, so it's normal to lose or win.
377  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 12, 2023, 01:19:08 PM
I guess Coach Pop already said to Wemby that he must forget that ROTY title because winning a title for the team is way better than that title. TBH, I have trust in Coach Pop. I mean who doesn't? The coach has been in the league for decades, is the most winningest coach in NBA history, and trying to develop a generational player in Wembanyama.

On the other hand, Chet will get that ROTY no doubt. The question right now for the whole Thunder team is can they play the same when they clinch the playoffs? Might be too early though.

You can't say thay to your player if Coach Pop really said that since it can lower down the motivation of his hype player to do more better job. But if this is true then maybe he just said that its because he already know that Wemby is already behind with Chet which is doing so good this season. Just to bad he cannot get enough help that's why provably he will just miss that ROTY award.

Chet is now the favorite player pointed out to win the ROTY due to his performance and contribution to his team and if he consistently doing some nice thing and OKC always win then no doubt that he successfully acquired that thropy.

Winning the title isn't on the discussion yet if it's the Spurs. They are a rebuilding team so they should focus first on improving, maybe the main goal for now is getting into the playoffs, and with their record now, it's safe to say that this season they'll fail.
Having that kind of a long losing streak, they already failed and won't be able to recover.

Spurs were only hyped when they beat the Suns in two consecutive games, and actually they start well, but it seems like Wemby was already expose, their opponents already know how to limit him, and the Spurs squard are affected much. It's a big challenge on them on how they'll break this losing streak as even if they'll face a mediocre team, they still struggle, so they could be a worst team this season if they'll surpass the Detroit's losing record.

On the discussion whether Wemby will win a ROY, it's unlikely now but since it's still early ,there's still time to recover for him to improve his individual performance. Afterall, ROY criteria does not significantly involve the team's performance, so he still has a shot.

Chet was already on top of him though the race is still close. However, as what we've seen, the hype is going down, Chet's stats are getting better,  so we can expect Wemby isn't gonna win.
378  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Staying away from scam. on: December 12, 2023, 11:47:06 AM
It's the end of the year again, where the pressure of wanting to "flex" or look fulfilled for the year, while in reality the year might have not gone so well.
So many people look for get rich schemes with ridiculous percentage gain, this scammers know there's an increase desperation by people this period.
So they ride on your greed to make it quick and rip you off your hard earned funds.
It's imperative you take your time, know what you're getting into before venturing into it, remember all that glitters isn't gold. If it's too good too be true,my friend I can tell you for free, it's most likely to be too good to be true.
Stay safe my friend.
Scammers look for greedy people and they will easily know these people based on their aggressiveness and conversation. Scams are everywhere and it is too hard to trust someone online, especially when it talks about investment and money. But I was just wondering why many were still falling into this trap and just wondering why many were still not able to determine if this was a scam offer or not. Some say that a person can't determine if a project is a scam until they experience getting scammed.
379  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No risk no reward on: December 11, 2023, 01:47:39 PM
Before making an investment always put it at the back of your mind that the higher you stake the more higher your income will be, In this case is like we do forget one thing that it's not about winning all time but actually loss also. When you admit it that you earn and at the same time you might loss. That means you are also capable of making a run into the crypto currency world.
That's why it always good to read and understand something before you engage yourself into it, or neither trying to introduce someone into it for example if your investment is on (BTC) make sure you have learn more about it.
But it always about risk and i do believe everyone knows whenever there's no risk no reward.
Understand it first before investing.
But the usual thing happens is that we invest first before learning and even use our experience to learn more which means that most of us suffer losses first before making a profit. I think can change it by simply doing research, understanding the behavior of the market, and of course, building confidence. Because it makes no sense to spend time knowing the market if we are afraid to take risks. Though we can't make it perfect in our early days of investing but can be corrected as we continue.
380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum price before Christmas on: December 11, 2023, 01:13:12 PM
Ethereum in connection with other Altcoins can be rated far above  others, it is sometimes compared to Bitcoin while others sees it as a successor to Bitcoin.
If you have purchased Ethereum at a price at which you deemed it fit and it has fallen in price below your entry price, the question you need to ask your self is, what is my profit if I should sell now below the price I invested. You gain nothing, so it is best you hold on and observe, definitely there will be a pump in Ethereum as it's pump is closely associated with the growth of Bitcoin.

Once the price of Bitcoin rises, ETH and some altcoins are deemed to follow the trend. Therefore, we don't have to look on the situation of ETH but rather look at Bitcoin. The good thing is that we saw the price keep moving which means that this month people are happy, people got their reward from holding and waiting. Selling is always an option but it was best to save it for the best when Bullrun comes. Might miss the $45k this holiday season but it's much more when waiting after halving.
ETH is one of the promising projects in the crypto market, it won't disappoint us if we hold until 2025.
