401  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will hit 25k by the end of this Year? on: May 01, 2018, 10:00:26 AM
See there is no huge growth and sudden increases in the Bitcoin price, Bitcoin price is completely based on the market cap. Last year every day it has increased more than $2k per day, we need steady growth in Bitcoin in order to be potential in the market.

It's not entirely based on the market cap, this market is much more speculatory, it banks on emotions and news. These two drives it all crazy at times, it's no longer logical.
402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 80% of ICOs are Scams on: May 01, 2018, 08:36:49 AM
there are a lot of scams, that's true.
but 80% seems like a lot of overkill to me.
I think that there are especially many bad projects, badly prepared, and launched by incompetent teams.
that's why when you want to invest in a project, it's very important to be well informed and not just follow a buzz or a popular project.

And despite this horrifying statistics, many people are still happy to invest in ICOs. It seems to me that only lucky men win here and this group of people that are true professionals. Many investors lose.

It still all boils down to having due diligence in researching the ICOs you're interested in. That's pretty much enough 90% of the time.
403  Other / Archival / Re: Do you think the markets will collapse on: April 30, 2018, 11:13:11 AM
considering how many people bought between 10-18k before the january crash,
the climb back might be difficult and maybe it would lead to a lot of people selling off to break even?
although it shouldn't really cause a crash to 150b.

I think we're safe for now, there's not much reason to fall to 150b?

No reason unless some big exchange got hacked again, new regulations come in place, or a security flaw just got discovered. Otherwise we'll be fine.
404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DNA on the Blockchain? (New Token) on: April 25, 2018, 05:02:27 PM
IMO while I can see multiple real-world applications for using Blockchain tech for that purpose, the field is still too young for disrupting. It still needs to mature a lot.
405  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: TRAP or TREND? on: April 25, 2018, 04:54:11 PM
In all honesty it looks more a trap to me. Basing from the previous weeks the market looks real suppressed or you may even say manipulated at times, but now it's freely rising up breaking walls one after another, IDK but it does look fishy to me.
406  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Struggling to Reach Over 9K on: April 25, 2018, 04:36:28 PM
Seems like it will continue to struggle. At the moment it was around 9500$ but now it's going back again. To be honest I don't expect to go much further this month and it probably will not touch 10000$ any time soon.
This correction lasts a long period now but it was kind of logical situation after huge rise at the end of last year.
But once we break 10000$, hope next month doors for further growth will be more open.

It's probably the last major resistance before $10k, so hopefully once it's broken it's gonna reach new all time highs. Although leveling there and making it a new baseline seems more realistic.
407  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Kucoin - A World-class Cryptocurrency Exchange Platform on: April 25, 2018, 04:29:56 PM
Personally my first choice will be Binance. Maybe I have good experience in that for purchasing coins and tokens.
But if the coins and tokens are not available on Binance, I will go for Kucoin. Yes it takes a little to mingle around but should be fine after you get used to it

The thing about KuCoin is that they can get you hooked to them once you've bought their shares. I used to trade at Trex and Polo back then but once I've gotten myself a stash of KCS, I never used other exchanges again. The dividends were real game changers.
408  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MyEtherWallet hack on: April 25, 2018, 04:27:20 PM
It seems that someone has successfully hacked MyEtherWallet and has stolen some people’s tokens. Mine seem to be fine for now.

Has anyone lost any Etherium or tokens and does anyone know how the hack was perpetrated?

This is potentially a major security risk because we all know that keeping coins on an exchange is a high risk. Now using MyEtherWallet may also be risky.

It was related to MEW's DNS being highjacked. So if you used MEW during the time with that hacked DNS then you're screwed. Otherwise, you're fine.

409  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market has woken up on: April 25, 2018, 01:09:17 AM
It's good to see market finally doing something positive Cheesy, but yeah let's take it slow and see where this goes.

This may have been just a rebound, but we'll see. It's still too early to draw in conclusions. IMO, this is gonna land up to $10-12k before leveling at say, ~$9k?

410  Economy / Speculation / Re: Seeing Green on: April 24, 2018, 04:14:12 PM
we can be happy right now because all the market has become green after red for a long time, now is our time to get profit and prepare for our future and invest more
well, this may be worth to celebrate, but do not be too happy with this, we just need to prepare ourselves with the current price increase, so we do not miss the pump. well, there is a high probability that bitcoin prices will rise even higher. this reminds me of the previous year.

Just be careful with making any move, as much as possible, utilize the law of averages to protect yourself should this rise be a bull trap, which I too, hope it isn't. Although honestly, it looks to me this is the result of price suppression that occurred for weeks, it just has broken out.
411  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Warning MEW wallet!!!!!! on: April 24, 2018, 04:04:40 PM
Myetherwallet is having problems, people do not have access to their myether wallet.

Oh and I just used MEW yesterday to transfer funds. Keep safe everyone, make sure the site you transact with has a 'secure' or green connection on the address bar.
412  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin to soar again? on: April 24, 2018, 03:34:27 PM
I remember I've read an article about a cartel manipulating the prices of btc, the same way different cartels try to manipulate the prices of other valuable commodities. Maybe they've just lifted their control over the prices, because the movement really looked like it was free after being held for months.
413  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Struggling to Reach Over 9K on: April 24, 2018, 03:23:01 PM
Just watched it live from go from $8940 reaching all the way up $9200 in less than 10 minutes while I was trading some alt coins.
What is going on now? Shocked

Aye indeed, woke up early today to this somewhat pleasant surprise, actually only thought to check as aome other coin I was selling had hit another high after months. Guessed it must have been Bitcoin influence and was right. Huge jump, considering the 9k resistance, my guess is Asian appetite just woke up and needed some satiating.

Timing couldn't be better for a sustained run to 11k to still make a typical spring renewal... now let's see if it holds for  at least 24 hours.

It's gonna sustain the momentum I believe, as it's been suppressed long enough. The question now is how high this run can go, and if it can bring about new highs.
414  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scam coins everywhere. on: April 24, 2018, 03:11:33 PM
The rate at which new coins are being pushed into the market now is alarming, there are so many coins and the worst part is that a lot of thes coins are just targeted to scam people as they have no real use in the world so once the developers make enough money like they wanted from the investors, they take off and leave these innocent investors with nothing. There are way too many scam coins in the market now.

You can't leave that off a bustling market. Remember the crypto space is still new, and people would try to take advantage of that. Scams are everywhere, even outside of our industry, you just gotta be careful not to get hooked by one.
415  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Struggling to Reach Over 9K on: April 23, 2018, 11:23:09 PM
Let's just hope this breakout isn't an impending bull trap, because it kinda looks like one to me. Pretty skeptical about stuff but you can never be wrong being careful.
416  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ALTCOINS going green! on: April 23, 2018, 03:03:40 PM
This just means the alts market is pretty much tagged and dependent with BTCBTCBTC. I kinda don't think this is healthy for much of the alts.
417  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: holding and prices will go up ? on: April 18, 2018, 02:29:48 PM
If you're gonna base from simple economics of supply-demand, that logic has a point. Although in reality it doesn't happen exactly that way, and you might actually hurt the token/coin economy by blatantly holding.

If you're gonna hold, at least do something for it, promote it, offer services regarding it, or anyway that can stir the token's market. Just simple holding wouldn't do.
418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Help me choose an ICO please! on: April 18, 2018, 02:28:04 PM
These aren't current ICOs but I think it'll help. I always prefer coins or tokens that give me dividends or stakes, like COSS or KCS. These are profit sharing tokens that gives dividends from collected transactions fees.

Or maybe you'll be interested with TAAS. It's like a fund that gives dividends too.
419  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC will always recover beyond its previous peak on: April 18, 2018, 02:25:57 PM
Actually you can just go to an exchange with extensive historical data, get the data for the last 6 years and plot it divided by 6 months. Take the all time lows per 6-month segment and you'll see the trend, that even if the price crashes to 6-month lows, the overall trend is positive, meaning the price eventually beats its previous 6-month value.
420  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why you should focus more on saving bitcoins than selling on: April 18, 2018, 02:22:47 PM
The next halving season is actually just about 2 years away, so yeah, you should buy with that in mind, because it's the only time we're pretty positive the price would react upwards, and maybe maintain that trend.
