1361  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has no competition on: October 16, 2016, 10:46:05 AM
In all honestly you can't foresee what the future holds. ETH was supposed to challenge BTCBTCBTC but look at it now, I've read their gonna have another fork.
1362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pros and cons of using new Bitcoin addresses for each transaction? on: October 16, 2016, 02:39:20 AM
Pros: You will give anyone tracking you an incredibly hard time, and they'll be hard-pressed to get a good read on what you're doing with your wallet, so it basically gives you a security advantage.

Cons: It might be hard to organize, depending on the wallet layout. Aside from that I can't think of a ton of cons.

Actually, it's a lot better to organize. You can just label the address you used for that transaction and set it aside. You can always go back to it if you need it for bookkeeping. Unlike using the same address for multiple transactions, in which bookkeeping is a lot harder.
1363  Economy / Speculation / Re: At what price we would be at if Btifinex disaster didn't happen? on: October 15, 2016, 09:04:09 PM
Hard to tell if we would have been at $700 if not for the bitfinex hacking, because the price was already showing signs of weakness prior to that incident. And when the price somewhat recovered a few days after, then that started the long dry spell in which the price was almost stuck at $600.

You can't really say there were signs of weakness, it was probably correction from the previous rise. And aren't dry spells a good sign of stability?
1364  Other / Off-topic / Re: Save you Bitcoin for your (grand) child / children? on: October 15, 2016, 08:57:16 PM
NO

I don't think Bitcoin will last long till that time.
i am sure and there a huge number of people are sure that bitcoin will be survive always and you see that bitcoin adoption increase too much faster and bitcoin rising up its price day by day and people are holding their bitcoin for the future .

I agree that bitcoin will stay if not forever but at least for several decades.  There have been billion of dollars involved in bitcoin and hundred of thousands of people that are using, trading and investing in bitcoin.  In short, the community of Bitcoin is large enough to support bitcoin economy for more than a decade.  Unless developer gave up on developing bitcoin, bitcoin would stay.

Not unless there'll be a major security issue that's be unwrapped in the future. But IMO, while sure BTCBTCBTC is here to stay, I do believe it'll transcend soon or evolve into a better one. Who knows, maybe it'll even change its name, I hope not though.
1365  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Looking for Worldwide Virtual bitcoin debit card ... on: October 15, 2016, 06:36:59 PM
Where would you use it? If it's for online payments only, you can go for virtual debit cards, and as far as I know, you can use them without any problems. I'm not sure for Algeria but what I've been doing is using the virtual cards behind Paypal, as this would usually bypass country restrictions when buying something online.

But most probably you'll have a hard time finding a working one considering you're from Algeria.
1366  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Off-Season on: October 15, 2016, 06:27:47 PM
JR smith making almost 15 million dollars a year!!! wow. I think every player
that's retired for more than 10 years is crying. To think major roll players in the
90's only made a million and this clown that just shoots only makes 15 million
a year. Maybe NBA should lower ticket prices instead of paying the players more
money.
He got an extremely good deal, I did not like his performance overall and I guess he is shooting too much 3 that slow down the team rhythm when he is not hitting them, interesting to watch how he perform with this sum of money for his deal.
Interesting off-season with KD being one of the most interesting deals IMO.

JR Smith was 6th-man of the year a few years back, he may not be at the superstar levels but he's good overall. Although sometimes, he can be very inconsistent.
1367  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will price be at around $700 by end of october on: October 15, 2016, 06:25:51 PM
yes i am 100% sure that the price of bitcoin can cross even 700 USD at the end of 2016, and the reason is that still there is a lot of potential in the price of bitcoin.

It can  surely touch that price at the end of the year but OP is interested to know whether its possible by the end of this month or not and looking at current price rise I think that price is achievable now.

However we already in the half of the month. As I speculate the price from last month to now. We had 20$ plus value in the price chart. Its really good in price growth.

If it continues with the same trend as it is right now, $700 by month-end is pretty much achievable. Let's just hope no major bad news would come.
1368  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is see the new pump is building up, $660 in 2 weeks on: October 13, 2016, 06:06:36 PM
i think yes the price of bitcoin is really going to increase in near future, and it can really cross even 700 USD at the end of October.

I agree that bitcoin price is in the uptrend now.  After weeks of correction and without bad press about bitcoin, the price of bitcoin will slowly catch up before the bitfinex hack.  People are getting to trust that exchange again which will be good in the bitcoin economy.  Another reason is that more people are getting involve in bitcoin every day.

Remember that a rise is almost always accompanied by correction.

IMO, I think this rise is related to the CoinDesk feature article I've read that Ethereum is gonna have another fork again.
1369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Off-Season on: October 12, 2016, 05:27:35 PM
Anything for today ? Missed Houston this morning . Can't believe it

It's a global preseason game, nothing to be serious about.  Smiley
1370  Other / Off-topic / Re: How would you guys react if you guys lost 10, 000 bitcoin? on: October 12, 2016, 05:20:30 PM
I can't lose 10 000 Bitcoins because I don't have them.  Smiley But if I were in this situation I would go mad. This a fortune, enough to live two lives.
If I had this big amount I would keep them in many different wallets and make all security measures to prevent this from happening.

10k BTCBTCBTC being enough to live 2 lives seems to be an exaggeration.

It's just like losing your savings or something. A lot of people has gone through that.
1371  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: McAfee’s MGT Goes Into Bitcoin Mining, With Massive Amount of Hardware on: October 10, 2016, 06:30:45 PM
McAfee had better be using really cheap electricity if it hopes to compete with the Chinese miners because that is one reason they are the leading miners.

They probably already have, they won't get their feet wet into this business without knowing this as well as the risks IMO. Anyway it's nice to know there's another player in the block.
1372  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sell my stocks buy bitcoin... on: October 10, 2016, 06:27:47 PM
Stock market is in need of a major correction, looks too much like a bubble for me. However the 'powers/parasites that be' want to keep inflating it and maybe they can. Moar QE, more central banks buying apple. Stocks will go up for ever. I love big brother. etc

It's gonna correct soon, the last financial crisis is already way too back in the past. History always repeats itself.
1373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Off-Season on: October 10, 2016, 06:26:10 PM
I just noticed that David Lee has been traded to Spurs, hopefully he'd be appreciated with his kind of game with Pop. Kinda excited for the season.  Smiley Smiley
1374  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people use so many Bitcoin wallets? on: October 08, 2016, 03:10:40 PM
Different wallets different purposes basically

Different wallets different purposes basically

A matter of preference actually. I for example use 2, one for saving and the other for spending.

1375  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: LONG TERM BITCOIN BUYERS on: October 07, 2016, 11:13:53 AM
market really is so volatile
I agree. This is actually why I think bitcoin is better to be profited at a short term scheme than of a long term.
Because I've actually seen one pattern of bitcoin's value. I'm still not 100% sure but it is a good profit scheme in a mid-long term run.

Actually it depends on how you handle the risks, most investing experts with their books and all often say the longer the investment, the lower is the risk. Not pretty sure if that's truly the case with BTCBTCBTC but I guess it applies.

1376  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CryptoBorrow.com- any experience? on: September 30, 2016, 04:15:57 PM
IMO if you're looking for a loan, you're better off with more reputable services like BitLendingClub. Just don't default, please.

Let me burst your bubble.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1625932.0

Sorry.

Well I said if he's 'looking for a loan.' That thread is mostly investing on loans.

I've been there, I've lost BTCBTCBTC investing in loans at BitLendingClub, that's why I said don't default.
1377  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Someone told me HASHOCEAN is coming back on: September 30, 2016, 07:39:36 AM
Many of my clients and friend are telling that hashocean is coming back, this sounds weird but even if it comes will hashocean get back its trust, will you trust again ?

I doubt they will come back under the same name that would just be silly. They owe people money and people will want it back so why would they do that ? No if they did come back it would be under a new name and probably back to scam us again too....

Well as long as there are people that are willing to risk getting scammed it's gonna be a never ending cycle. Better yet don't trust HYIPs people.
1378  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why price of Bitcoin too stable? on: September 30, 2016, 05:56:57 AM
I am really interested why the price of Bitcoin is too stable now, probably no investors to buy Bitcoins?
Or peoples don't trust Bitcoin now?
Probably just a small stable period?
in my opinion the stability in the bitcoin price ia the mining of bitcoin which is in very small in these days , so news coins after mining the bitcoin world don't gives effect on the bitcoin rate because they are generating in small amount .

miners dont have  connections on the stability hence they are just supplying  the demand for bitcoin. As we saw on the price of bitcoin its almost on idle  because    on my view there are no active sellers and  big potential buyers  on bitcoin as  of  these days thats why  bitcoin price move only a little  amount of $ as the day goes by.

It doesn't exactly mean there are no active sellers or big buyers, it just shows the market is pretty much balanced in terms of supply and demand, miners included.
1379  Economy / Speculation / Re: why should anyone invest in btc right now? on: September 29, 2016, 07:21:30 AM

Bitcoin is still very new and still very long journey. There is a good future for bitcoin and there are now more and more people are starting to use bitcoin. Bitcoin is suitable for short-term investment because we can benefit from fluctuations.

It's not actually new, we've had 2 halving seasons already, although in a sense it's still young. The tech is still developing and improving, everything is in the works and we'd be seeing more innovations over the next few years. Short term? Probably not, as IMO it's better to invest in a blooming BTC startup than play short term. Long game is better IMO.
1380  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing my $2,000,000 Into bitcoin (advice me) on: September 29, 2016, 07:11:45 AM
With that amount of money, you should be starting your own company not invest into other's, or in a high risk medium like BTCBTCBTC
