Anyone wonder what would Satoshi say when he reads most of the replies here?  Grin Grin
1382  Economy / Speculation / Re: Upside breakout above ~$800 in Medium-Term... on: September 28, 2016, 07:48:57 AM
It is for sure that it is going to blow up in a direction upside or downside. Graphs say it will be downside but my heart says it will be up. Hard to decide but i will listen to my heart and keep my coins. I never believed in technical analysis anyway...

That's one attitude that you gotta have I'd say that. Well at least you should keep those analyses at the back of your mind, not entirely dismiss them.

@ontopic, IMO the market's not gonna have a big move for awhile, not unless another news would shake it.
1383  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is why Bitcoin P2P lending is dead. on: September 28, 2016, 07:45:13 AM
yes. But P2P lending sites do not require collateral from borrowers.
well this is why the P2P lending site is turned to red, as for me i would never giving somone even for penies without collaterral. I just don't get it why they adopted this system, we don't even know the id that they provide is real or just photoshoped, since it's easy to manipulate the id.

Well that was the essence of p2p lending anyways, it's supposedly a lending network built on trust and reputation. At least that's what it should be.
1384  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why we must trust with bitcoin? on: September 27, 2016, 09:42:39 AM
---will you teach your child how to use bitcoin in future guys?----

I'd say why not? It'll make them open to new technologies.
1385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is it Sports Betting is better than other type of gambling? on: September 27, 2016, 08:44:44 AM
In sports betting, knowledge is a must. so if you know who is the better or stronger team there is a possibility that you can win unlike in other gambling games.
well yeah if you want to make some good money i think you have to get a lot of knowledge before doing any bets

yeah it is,

But not sports betting itself,
poker should also be considered as one of the gambling game
where gamblers pose a high chance of winning against the house
since poker use a lot of skills rather than luck.

So we should also consider poker as one of the best gambling if you are up on earning something.

Aside from knowledge, in sports betting, it takes a lot of skill and experience. Luck is only a minor factor.

It pays to have insider info too.
1386  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Your Business Should Care About Bitcoin? on: September 27, 2016, 08:05:46 AM
Well in all honesty it doesn't have much of an effect if your business isn't finance/remittance related. Not a lot of my sales comes via bitcoin, it's just about once or twice a month. This is probably why a lot of merchanys doesn't dwell much on btc.
1387  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is investing in mining still worth it? on: September 27, 2016, 06:15:46 AM
I honestly do not think that investing into the bitcoin mining is worth it anymore, back in the days it was very profitable but right now its not anymore and only the very big miners are still making some profit but these are also paying a lot of money for hardware and stuff.

Home mining is pretty much dead ages ago, only a small percentage of enthusiasts can mine profitably.

I've heard BitMain is trying to revive home mining, has anyone tried their new hardware?
1388  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin down to 500? on: September 27, 2016, 05:53:19 AM
$500 will be too low for bitcoin to get dumped and i don't think there will another such case like few weeks ago. So i will say better not to wait for price to go below $500 again to buy, buy now and enjoy the profit.
yes that is a fact,  after bitfinex hacking the price of bitcoin dump and reached the 500$ level but there it got support and then start rising again and now it is trading above 600$ and that is a good news about bitcoin.

IMO it won't go down beyond sub-$500 post halving, not unless there's another bad news or there's a security issue. Without those, dumps can be absorbed without the market crashing.
1389  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CryptoBorrow.com- any experience? on: September 27, 2016, 04:13:47 AM
IMO if you're looking for a loan, you're better off with more reputable services like BitLendingClub. Just don't default, please.
1390  Other / Off-topic / Re: When and why did you start using Bitcoin? on: September 27, 2016, 04:05:18 AM
I started using the bitcoin 2 years ago and that was all because it was upcoming and due to the fact you can make profit with it, it was really worth taking the risk.
I'm also very glad that I made this choice back in the days.

Well as for me I needed a way to transfer money, and BTCBTCBTC looked real promising back then.

After I did the transfer I ventured into alts. Went back to btc a few months after though.
1391  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2.5 Years in Bitcoin and still holding. on: September 27, 2016, 02:56:44 AM
2.5 years is still kinda short term when it comes to investments. Keep it growing, you'll see its worth.
1392  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin help poor countries? on: September 27, 2016, 02:36:48 AM
It helps reduce costs of remittances I'd tell you that. Can't think of other ways it'll help besides that.
1393  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Off-Season on: September 26, 2016, 05:33:54 PM
After Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett, another superstar will bid farewell to the league.

Paul Pierce will retire after this upcoming season. He will still play at the Los Angeles Clippers with the guidance of his coach for a long time, Doc Rivers.

It's really hard for us fans who watched them in their entire era to see happenings like this. Now I know what is the feeling of those fans back in the time of 70s, 80's, 90s who watched those superstars in their entire peak.
I think what seperates the 90's and below from the 00's is the intensity of their game in which you will see ferocious dunks, fouls, trash talk, and brawls. All of the superstars back then need to really hassle just to score a point. Nothing compared to this generation in which you can easily get a foul and score buckets with free throws. I will surely miss the 90's super stars their were the last of its kind.

I suppose you're talking pretty much of James Harden's game when you say you can easily get a foul and score buckets in this generation.

After Pierce, it's gonna be Dirk's retirement next. He's 38 already.
1394  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin rising to 600$ , pure manipulation ? on: September 26, 2016, 05:29:22 PM
Were back to ~$600ish, after a stint at $590. Honestly, I think this level is the new baseline, and would be such until a huge news breaks out again - which hopefully is not a hack of a large exchange again.
1395  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin down to 500? on: September 25, 2016, 02:41:58 PM
Unless another big company gets hacked, Bitcoin would stay higher than 500$. The Bitfinex hack made the price of Bitcoin much lesser than it was. I'm pretty sure if another exchange website gets hacked, Bitcoin would go down again. The price dump is depending on how many Bitcoins that the hackers get from the hack. But if none of that would happen, we will not touch Bitcoin down to 500$ again.

Probably at most ~$500-550 but I agree with that, a dip to sub-$500 levels is pretty much one the worst case scenarios.
1396  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Off-Season on: September 24, 2016, 11:16:27 AM
Kevin Garnett has retired. Lots of greats ended their career this last season, truly the end of an era for NBA basketball.
1397  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is why Bitcoin P2P lending is dead. on: September 24, 2016, 11:13:21 AM
Same story here. BitLendingClub was okay way back then, my default rate was acceptable. Then suddenly came the wave of "reputable" defaulters, those that are fully verified and with good credit rating, they were supposedly the trusted set of individuals, and for whatever reason, the majority defaulted on their loans. That was the last time I invested in p2p lending.
1398  Other / Off-topic / Re: Where u use bitcoins? on: September 24, 2016, 11:08:59 AM
I use the bitcoins for all kind of payments, as a example I use them here on the forum to buy things, mostly digital goods.
I think that its fun to do and that digital goods are nice to buy with the bitcoin, I really like it.

Never used my bitcoins for something like that, though i like to buy things online with my bitcoins but not digital goods but physical ones, and for that i will need to pay a lot of shipping fees which i cannot afford to pay, so i just convert my bitcoins to fiat and then buy what i want.

For me I prefer local online sellers. International shipping and tax import duties here is such a headache. Aside from physical merchandise, we also have a platform here that allows me to buy gift cards for services and even restaurants using BTCBTCBTC. Makes life easier.  Grin
1399  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Off-Season on: September 22, 2016, 09:40:27 AM
OKC still has a solid roster. I don't think they finish 7 or 8.

I think they could easily be fighting for a 4-5 seed with the talent and
big men they have. Granted replacing Durant sucks but the rest of the
roster is solid.

Solid but not championship caliber. OKC right now looks to me a team that would be carried single handedly by WestBrook.
1400  Economy / Speculation / Re: why should anyone invest in btc right now? on: September 22, 2016, 08:39:37 AM
There is no reason to think that bitcoin will fail any time soon. It is becoming more stable as time goes on. Plus the blockchain technology behind it is getting more positive publicity.

everything can happen, maybe in future a new altcoin can beat bitcoin, i dont know what is that's, but the technology will be higher than bitcoin.
but if we see some fact of bitcoin adoption, im sure bitcoin can survive Smiley

As an investor for the halving, its best to wait it out then locking away or investing your funds right now. A lot can happen over 4 years, so it would be rather best to put in your money in the 3rd year. I don't see prices going up between then and now anyways.

Right now investing is not smart because the bitcoin has not a good buy in price if you really want to buy we should wait right now.
If you buy with lower prices you can also make a lot more profits.

Well bitcoin is speculatory, so it's gonna depend on your prediction if it's worth it to buy btc as of the moment. IMO it's better to wait for a dip, like what happened when BitFinex got hacked. That's buy time.
