Your post is in the wrong subforum, you will get more views and interested customers if you move it to the Altcoin Marketplace. Alternatively, you can accept Bitcoin and convert it into LTC.

I just started minig here, heck, I just started mining XMG.
I'll be watching this thread for any announcements.
How many hashes does it take to crack a block and reap the rewards? and shouldn't Mhash be Khash in that graph?
Welcome to BTCT! As with Bitcoin and all Altcoins, there is no "number" of hashes to crack a block. It might happen on your first block, or it might take forever. The graph is intended to show Mhash, and refers not to you, or this pool, but the entire XMG mining network. You might have a few Khash/s while mining, but the network as a whole will usually be at some Mhash/s (If you don't know, 1 Mhash = ~1000 Khash)

I think faucets such as freebitco.in added the gambling factor to make it even more effective. Not sure if they offer it anymore, but they used to have a jackpot of 150$ equivalent in Bitcoin at a point. While the average faucet reward was a few satoshis, nobody played it for that. It felt like getting to enter a lottery without needing to pay for your tickets.
Actually, I think spending time on freebitco.in was a good thing. I mostly ended gambling away on their in-built dice, but this mean that you would not lose any of your Bitcoin gambling, just the few cents you had gotten from their faucets that was going to take ages to reach the minimum withdraw anyways.
Scratch the itch to gamble + They earn money = Win-Win?

I doubt anybody will trust off-site reputation, unless you can prove that you're not an impersonator. Is there any way you can prove that you're the same person? Have you posted a Bitcoin address on tbn forums which you can sign with?

Your post name primarily focuses on Dogecoin. Consider moving this thread to Marketplace (Altcoins). I doubt many people will even open this thread as it is, because it is in the wrong subforum.

Other articles show how that is creepy so much better. http://www.wired.com/2015/07/online-anonymity-project-proxyham-mysteriously-vanishes/?mbid=social_fbThe person behind it, responds and says that it was not DefCon organizers, that it was not someone above him, and that it was not the FCC. But, when asked whether it was due to a gag order from law-enforcement, he said no comment. I wonder if DEF CON will actually become counter-intuitive, providing a place for law-enforcement to figure out what to stop next.

A word of caution: You may not get returns as quickly as you expect them. The percentage return by investing in a dice site should on average be equal to (house edge * amount gambled/total bank roll) JD has 583k clams invested, and 9.2 million clams gambled in total. This means that, assuming that 583k was invested from the very beginning, you would expect a 15% gain if you invested when JD started off with clams.
If you're expecting fast, be aware that most investment isn't fast. Altcoins are the only thing that are relatively fast, and quite a few of them are pump and dumps, essentially ponzis. Investing is not always a good idea, especially when you don't have too much capital. Even if you can make 15% in a month, it will be under 0.015, less than you can make by offering a service.

It has a lot of low quality posts, and has been used to host a Ponzi in the past. Beware of these facts, and check the post history

When I said launch promotions I meant some kind of small giveaways to let people test the site out, you can add some wagering requirements to it, so it won't get abused. Signature campaigns are great way to get recognition of forum members who are otherwise unaware of the site. Here's an escrow list: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=855778.0 choose the one you prefer. Actually, I'm not sure how much they'll be able to afford giveaways and campaigns, to be honest. 0.1% house edge is really really low. This could attract big players, but their maximum profit is too low to attract any big players that would pay for the signature campaigns and giveaways. I think they just have to hope that word of mouth can carry them forward.

hi well to be honest i found a simple way to get private keys (from a website) , but the problem is i cant send the money to an other address when i import the keys to blockchain.info i get something like : "GETTING UNSPENT OUTPUTS" and nothing happens i can put some private keys here if a respected member ask me to as a proof if required. anyways im still testing all the private keys on blockchain , (im tired) i hope i get some good money soon. and if there is any help i will be very happy. Thank u. I'm not sure about this, especially with the "hacking" But anyways, for any address in general: 1- Check the balance using the address itself instead of the private key. It might have a 0 balance 2- "Getting unspent outputs" basically means that blockchain.info is checking your balance. Not sure about after that For any address in general, try other alternatives if blockchain doesn't work. Electrum is lightweight, you can try that.

The bitcoin price decreased by 10% after Eurozone leaders agreed once again to offer a third bailout for Greece, financing up to €86 billion over three years. With the help of the Eurozone, Greece secured debt restructuring and a growth package, which could decrease the on-going spike of popularity of bitcoin in the country."
I should also mention that an article this morning indicated that even the contents of safe deposit boxes were off-limits during the crisis in Greece, and that cash and precious metals in the safe deposit boxes may have been targeted in the event of a general confiscation of deposits. This trashes the plans of many Greeks who had stored money/gold in a safe deposit box thinking that would get them through the crisis. Instead they couldn't even access the contents, and the contents could have been raided anyway. The advantage of bitcoin here is obvious.
Our perspective on this is so weird. People are losing their life savings, but more than that, it seems like another opportunity for Bitcoin to us. I wonder if events such as this, causing extreme loss of trust in the central authority will be the primary factor pushing BTC going forward.

I doubt these tickets would belong in Services. Most likely in Goods, or the Digital Goods subforum if you're selling the ticket digitally.

If the owner finds a way to ensure the players that they are actually playing against humans then it could work.
People have talked about how impossible that is for 3 pages now. It is clear that the owner doesn't care. And why should he care? Since it is p2p, he gets his house cut regardless of whether bots are used. Stay away if you're an honest player.

*snip* I'm inclined to the same view. Why should the forum change anything in order to protect the parties to what's a pretty scummy activity anyway? The only change I'd support is tagging of accounts which have been sold so that new users are aware the person posting isn't the original account holder (old users probably know anyway, by the change in posting style).
How would the forums tag them? Currently, most account sales occur with a new account listing the account for sale. The account is anonymised by only giving ballpark values for activity and posts. I don't think the forums should ever tag based on a change in posting style, nor a change of IP address region (possible migration). The trust system allows users to take this into their own hands, and a false negative trust will be a lot less harmful than a false "sold account" tag.

So no response to this...
I think they don't want people tagged as banned because people would ask why they did it. They would prefer the people just looked like they dropped off the face of the earth so they don't have to take responsibility for it. There are ways scammers can leverage this fact as well, which is unfortunately allowed to continue because of this secretive stance.
Well, if privacy had to be protected whilst also protecting the buyer from getting an account with bans, the bans could be visible to the user themselves only. This means that if someone else logs onto your account, they can see your bans, and this would work if the account seller goes first, or uses an escrow who logs in and checks. However, it doesn't seem like any actions are going to be taken to further help account sellers. And I don't see any good reason for why the forums should actively assist account sellers. Allowing them to stay is enough.

I should have use different phrasing: as far as i remember (instead of "as far as i know"... i'm sorry, i'm not a native speaker), they do not honour 80-90% of the requests... It was in the news in my country a couple months ago... But i cannot remember the exact percentages... They do have a transparancy report, for example: http://www.google.com/transparencyreport/removals/government/NL/?hl=nl33% of the requests WITH an official note from a JUDGE is honored... They do not give out percentages of individuals asking to remove their personal info, but if i remember correct, it was about 10-20% of the requests that was honored Well, if OP lives in the EU (as the leaked UK passport suggests), he doesn't need an official note from a Judge. The following: https://www.google.com/transparencyreport/removals/europeprivacy/?hl=enallows removal of any content that violates privacy. The total percent removed is around 41%. Don't look at this as a dice roll, but more as a figure about number of legitimate requests. There is a good chance people abuse this, and they account for majority of the 59%.

well people still does not know much about bitcoin here there is no real activity , and i can tell you that is a very sad thing , because here we have a big problem encountred mostly by young people who wants to work or trade on the internet is that our local currency is not convertible to dollar or euro or any other foreign currency , even paypal etc does not . people have been asking the gouvernement for years to change that . and saying so bitcoin would be a well fit solution for this problem if people were aware of this
If it is hard to convert, you can always look at goods that can be delivered to you. There are a lot of Bitcoin merchants, you can start with the Marketplace subforums here ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=5.0) You can get physical goods delivered to you, or digital goods if getting deliveries to Tunisia is hard. Above all, welcome to BTCT!

Note: There is a good chance this user is deserving of the dox: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1120289.msg11869835#msg11869835There exist quite a few allegations against Scott Davie EDIT: Forgot to mention that OP has been accused of being Scott Davie and confirmed it as the documents leaked were of Scott Davie. The details can be seen across the other threads.
