421  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An agent is no where to be found. on: October 24, 2023, 08:31:49 PM
However, I am here to say these are the reasons why it is not always good to gamble in a betting agent's shop, because if the manager of the shop does not run with the money a gambler wins, then one of the workers in the betting shop might run away with the money someone wins, so I do conclude that an online gambling site with good reputation is the best for gambler, so what do you guys have to say about this?.
I don't think that this is enough reason to say it is not good to gamble in a betting agents shop. How frequent does cases like this happen? This may just be one isolated case which is not grounds to come to your conclusion.
Online bookies can decide to close your account with all your funds in there. Isn't this the same think. Anyways your message well received.
422  Economy / Speculation / Re: Has anybody expected this? on: October 24, 2023, 08:27:07 AM
Has anybody somehow expected this kind of thing? Has anybody had at least a tiny clue that something like this would happen? I know Uptobers have been good months, but every huge increase especially a sudden one must have a big reason. I'm not seeing one that could push such growth so fast. I was really caught by surprise. Will a Bitcoin spot ETF be certainly approved soon that insiders have already relayed to their bosses the good news and the accumulation has secretly grown stronger?
And this is what we've been talking about for years, bitcoin leading the market. What we're experiencing right now is a buy the rumor sell the news event.  Everyone is anticipating a bitcoin spot ETF approval. Larry Fink has been on TV saying crypto is a flight to safety and quality and much more. I believe bitcoin could rally to 40K in a retracement move, not going to new all time highs similar to what it did in 2019. Because, it never goes up in a straight line. It's a roller coaster ride, and right now it's rallying very hard. Some may say we're going to new all time highs. I am standing on the fence here. Historically, that is not how bitcoin has played out. I may be wrong, though, if bitcoin goes to new all time highs in the next few months into the having, we all will be happy.
423  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Which ASIC miner to choose for Bitcoin Mining? on: October 24, 2023, 07:53:19 AM
This leads me to wonder how Bitcoin miners are making money these days. How can anyone start Mining Bitcoin with this profitability while the block reward will be divided after the halving?
Looking at the past couple of day, Bitcoin has recently surged from 26k to 30k. There is uncertainty about whether Bitcoin will surpass the 31,000 level, considered a significant support level but I am of the opinion that it is going to rise. As Bitcoin prices rise, Asic miner prices and profitability are also expected to increase. The coming days and months for bitcoin are going to be a good one because of the potential for higher profitability in Bitcoin mining and the importance of low electricity costs for miners to maintain their profitability.
424  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The PATRIOT Act comes to cryptocurrency on: October 24, 2023, 07:07:40 AM
o_e_l_e_o  this so called PATRIOT Act should be called the DRACONIAN Act because that is exactly what it is. The PATRIOT Act does exactly the opposite of what patriot means and so this is why I think the DRACONIAN acts fits it better.

To explain this better for those who may not understand it, if this law is eventually passed you cannot do simple bitcoin transactions which you normally do without raising an eye brow from the US government. This simple transactions like sending bitcoin from multiple exchanges to your hardware wallet. Once the US government suspects you, they can confiscate your bitcoin and it is on you to prove that the bitcoin is yours and isn't used for laundering or terrorism financing.

The US is dong this to try and save the US dollar. People are dumping the global reserve asset and this piece of regulation is a desperate measure to try and save it. This is basically their attempt to control and even close the exits. Which is why they want us to own bitcoin through brokerage like the bitcoin ETF which is not real bitcoin and also to only have it on exchanges so they easily freeze it whenever they like.

All bitcoiners must fight against this vehemently.
425  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your doubt has no effect on gambling. on: October 22, 2023, 11:18:47 PM
However, I will say that even your doubt can not make a game that you are supposed to win lose, because gambling doesn't work with mindset, it works with the risk and not your fear. Why the risk is because if you don't risk your money in gamble, you will not lose or even win.
I disagree. Let me briefly explain. There are metaphysical energy at play just by thinking about something. When we think a thought whether positive or negative we send out a vibration to the universe and casue the universe to act on it. I strongly believe that we can affect the outcome of a game either positive or negative by just a slight thought or thinking about it.
426  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Common mistakes by unskilled traders on: October 22, 2023, 10:05:03 PM
Many newbie and crypto enthusiastic think trading is easy until they lose on the first day, 1 week,1month, 1year and they finally quit.
There are common mistakes they usually makes which are,

_ Not planing there trades: there is a popular saying that he who fail too plan, plan to fail.
Before entering a trade, an entry point and exit point must be spotted if you want to succeed.

_ Don't make emotional driven decisions: Emotions like fear and greed can cloud our sense of reasoning and leads to impulsive action, just stay calm and stick to your plan.

_ Not managing risk properly: this protect your capital, by using stop loss other, It minimize potential losses.

_ Not doing enough research: knowledge is key in trading , knowing the craft is very important, take your time to study the market, analyse chart pattern, and stay updated to news that can impact your trade.

Remember trading requires not just strategy, but discipline
Newbies and unskilled traders shouldn't trade.
Why go through the stress of buying Bitcoin and then wanting to blow them off in a very volatile and risky market that doesn't care about your level of experience. It will eat you up and it is unforgiving to newbie traders.
Like some had said on this forum earlier better hold than trade. Trading is not the only way to make profit. There are many less risk methods to get bitcoins. I feel that trading should if ever be the last resort.
427  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Nigeria socialite went all in on this sport bet on: October 22, 2023, 09:43:57 PM
Early hours of today,  one of the Nigeria billionaire business man E money shared his bet slip online for fans to see how much he splashed on the game between Chelsea vs Asernal which already on and Cheslea leading with 1:0, this brought me to the point of asking what your opinion on celebrities staking higher amount and still be ok to publicly show it and do not feel any thing even if the ticket cut just like what happened to Drake last few weeks back.

What is you view and analysis on this bet,  although I see that he be confident in his selections to have staked such an amount,  but since football is a game of unpredictability,  what then ks your views on this game even though the match is currently live.

His prediction came out fruitfully because he had to give Arsenal win or draw against Chelsea. As long as you've said he is a billionaire, so he has the money to splash. but from what I'm seeing here, is a very high stake and from how the match went, it could have gone south on him if Chelsea had won that match, but  let's cut him some slack because he was able to make a good prediction.
428  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Nigeria socialite went all in on this sport bet on: October 22, 2023, 09:42:36 PM
This shouldn't be any news at all because a lot of socialite and celebrities in countries all over the world also Gamble. I feel that this particular person is trying to advertise the sport bookies more than he is trying to showcase his bet.

This particular sports bet site is going to have a lot of traffic during the next premiership or football game because a lot of gamblers would create an account with them and make their bets. Some will win but the sports bet sites is going to make a lot of money from it.
429  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Hey Bitcoiners Choose Simplicity Over Complex Technicalities on: October 20, 2023, 02:36:52 PM
As a Bitcoin enthusiast, I want to say briefly that you shouldn't sacrifice simplicity for technicality. You are more likely to lose your bitcoins because of too much technicality than to scammers or hackers. An example of keeping things simple is that instead of storing your Bitcoin in a multi signature wallet that you do not understand how it works or have no experience in setting up, store your Bitcoin in a soft like Electrum wallet where the process of setting up is pretty straight forward. Another example is using simpler and recommended ways to protect your seed phrase instead of some ways that has too much complexities and technicality to it any mistake can result in its loss forever.

In summary, it is more practical to stick with user-friendly options that you understand well than advanced options. Simplicity and a strong foundation of knowledge are your best allies in safeguarding your bitcoin.
430  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Question for those who loose too frequently in gambling on: October 20, 2023, 12:15:08 PM
I have often wondered about the people who have lost a lot in gambling and who almost loose in every gambling activity they participate. What is their reason or motivation to continue even after so many losses?
If you fall down seven times you gotta keep getting back up. That's the reason. The motivation is hope that there's a win somewhere and if I give up, I'm not going to get that win. I don't chase loses like I used to do in the past, I follow my gambling plan and try a new one after every loss. And been lucky a couple of times too.
431  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A Simple Yet Powerful Message That Will Always Hold True on: October 20, 2023, 11:23:28 AM
I agree that you should buy bitcoin and hold it. But this advice is for those who are not very experienced with cryptocurrency. There are other cryptocurrencies and projects in the crypto sphere that someone with good information and knowledge can take advantage of and make money from it then take the profit and invest it or buy some bitcoins. These are all accumulation strategies. The caveat here is that if you know you are not experienced or knowledgeable enough about this, do not do it. Just buy and hold.
432  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Much do you Value your Privacy in Gambling? on: October 20, 2023, 11:09:41 AM

Will you go ahead and provide them all they require from you for account verification, so they can process your withdrawal request, or will you willingly forfeit such amount of money back to the casino on the account that your private information is more expensive than that amount of money you have own from them?

I love to read your thoughts on this.
I once won a significant amount from one of the reputable casinos being advertised on this forum. Just like you said I didn't have to submit my kyc documents upon registration however after winning the significant amount and applied for withdrawal I was informed that I have to submit my kyc documents before my application is granted. Because it was a significant amount it took me two days to go back and forth with this casino on my kyc document. One of the documents was rejected several times and I had to get the exact one they needed before my request was granted. I didn't mind about my privacy because for a casino to be advertised on this forum buy reputable campaign managers then I had no reason to be scared.
433  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: They know the truth but they don't want to accept it, publicly on: October 20, 2023, 12:00:10 AM
Take it or leave it, some part of me still want to make free money from gambling, even when I don't gamble every day, and while I am a very cautious gambler.

We are in the same shoes. I like free money especially the legal ones. Anyone who has won money from casinos will understand this. The thoughts of draws is sometimes to the casino.

Quote
Some people are trying to hide behind the cotton, stating that they are gambling for the fun of it, I will like to ask them this question if I can get them to answer.

Nothing wrong with that. It is their own choice. And some people actually just gamble for the fun of it but these people ai believe are senior citizens only.

Quote
Will you still participate if money is not involved? Many people will easily quit if all casinos are to be turned into no-money games, isn't it?

I'd be lying if I said yes. It will make it less fun. The money is the rewards. We as humans like rewards.
434  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I think gambling is inbuilt, kids don't learn it anywhere, they do it! on: October 19, 2023, 11:53:09 PM
From your topic title alone I find fault in it and I don't agree. Allow me to state categorically that there is nothing that is inbuilt in any human we all learnt it through rewards and punishments. Why underaged kids gamble these days more often than before is because of how liberal our society has become with casinos. Kids are no longer cautioned or prevented from it and their are pressures from all over for them to engage in it or be left out. They choose the former because it makes them look cool. Gambling is not inbuilt. It is never in our DNA . It was learned.
435  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Experience is key, go for it. on: October 19, 2023, 11:30:43 PM

Experienced traders know when to buy when to sell, and when to hodl. They also know how to manage any fluctuation in the market, This helps them to minimize losses and guides them to take reasonable risk.
Experience is is good and there are many ways to acquire the experience in the crypto space. You are always learning from yourself and from others. The quickest way to get experience is through others but I don know how effective it is compared to experience from oneself. I thinking that experience acquired through personal encounter is customizable. I prefer this type of experience. You get the message faster.
436  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance Founder CZ said that, Copy trading now live on Binance. on: October 19, 2023, 10:57:55 PM
This is a new feature for loyal customers of Binance and trading junkies. I just went through my binance app and discover that they're running a couple of promotions for copy trading. One of the advantages of copy trading and start it is almost like having a signal group but even way better. You still need to get educated on how it works.
437  Economy / Economics / Re: Women are more economical than men. on: October 19, 2023, 09:06:12 PM

It's important to avoid making generalizations about the abilities of women and men as managers based on spending habits. Management skills and abilities vary greatly among individuals and are not determined by gender. Effective management is influenced by a range of factors, including education, experience, leadership qualities, and personal preferences.
Was about to say this, I don't think that there's a point in saying who's more economical of the two sexes. Habits are a universal thing and it just so happens that sometimes one gender are doing it more compared to other but that doesn't mean that they're the worse, I mean the debate and statistics misses the point, that there's a lot of men and women out there that's are bad at managing their money and in the end we are focusing on the wrong thing.
I think that the OP made a mistake about trying to carry out generalizations. Statistically and research wise, there are different skills that women are better at handling than the men and vice versa but whatever it is that is can be learnt should not be generalized. Like saying that women are better at handling and keeping money . Totally incorrect. This has been learnt and reinforced overtime by mothers to your daughters so that is why you would say that you're more economical than men. Men can learn too how to be economical.

439  Economy / Economics / Re: Dangers of combining company and personal funds in the same account on: October 18, 2023, 08:21:41 PM
Anyone who combines their company funds and personal fund in the same account is a novice business person. Any experienced business person would know that this is like swimming with the sharks. You are going to get bitten. You'll end up using company funds for the unending plethora of personal and family problems and running bankrupt.

At least the business person should get someone to do their finances for them. If they do not employ any other person in the organization.

https://cryptotale.org/bitcoin-whales-accumulate-71155-btc-in-6-weeks-nearing-all-time-high/

They have accumulated 71555 btc in less than 6 weeks. Is this a sign of coming bull run now ?
It is a sign of many things. Including:

Growing global awareness and adoption - There is a growing awareness of Bitcoin and people are seeing the rel life effect of holding and not holding bitcoin. They prefer the former.

Halving - People don't want to be on the "wrong" side of history during and after the event. They don't want any bitcoiner to say"I told you so" if they miss it.

It's a flex- If you are a Gen Z or millennial and don't have some bitcoins. You are almost looked at as old school. We know that is the last thing they want to be called.
