421  Economy / Gambling / Re: JustCasino.io | Get the Best Crypto Casino Experience on: January 17, 2024, 12:17:56 PM
Peeps, I went to check JustCasino.io's terms and noticed the restricted countries has now been greatly reduced!

Users from the following countries and their territories (“Restricted Countries”) are not allowed to deposit and play real money games: Mali, Senegal, Syria, Afghanistan, Belarus, Belgium, British Indian Ocean Territory, Bulgaria, China, Curaçao, Czech Republic, Estonia, France, French Guiana, French Polynesia, Georgia, Ghana, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iran, Iraq, Lithuania, Netherlands, North Korea, Pakistan, Palestine, Poland, Romania, Saint Martin (French part), Serbia, Singapore, Ukraine, United States of America, UK, Mali, Senegal, Syria. The Casino cannot guarantee the successful processing of withdrawals or refunds if a player breaches this Restricted Countries policy.

Thankfully, my place has now been cleared. I think most of us could play now.

I do wonder if we can still expect couple of countries to be cleared anytime soon? like those in asia for instance.
422  Economy / Gambling / Re: From $17 to $37000!!! Craziest Crypto Win in 2023!!!! on: January 15, 2024, 11:17:11 PM
Honestly, it's pretty obvious this is a part of a promotion as well, same with sportsbet but that doesn't necessarily make the approach wrong nor prove that the winnings were staged.

If someone won this big, then it's a milestone for the casino and imo, it's just standard marketing to post about it. My guess though is, the recent million winnings thread by sportsbet gave them a push in a way -- perhaps made them remember the thing or smth which explains why the dates for their winnings thread were close to each other. OP did mention this was 8 months ago:

Why are we posting this 8 months after?
The 2023 just concluded, and when we recap the whole year, we realized there is this exciting moment that we feel we want to share with you all. In fact, we have had his permission a while back but was too busy dealing with other priorities until the end of the year when we realized there is still this gem buried in our drive.
423  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Freewallet.org - SCAMMERS CONFIRMED - Pending Litigation on: January 15, 2024, 09:34:44 PM
Unfortunately, I'm not Elon Musk. And I don’t have any opportunity for media promotion.

Lol it's indeed not that easy for us common folks.

You probably need to hire a marketing team and/or some relatively big names in crypto space to have a better chance at getting viral.

Yes, I understand this. But maybe someone already had some sort a court verdict or something similar? Any chance to get money back this way?

Never seen one as well, if there is one, it's likely news outlets would have picked it up. It's understandable since this can be complicated specially with victims residing on different countries plus legal fees not being cheap.

I've seen @stafstor actively fighting freewallet though -- not necessarily in a suit, you may wanna get in touch! see profile: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3568746
424  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Please HELP they wont process my transaction on: January 15, 2024, 06:57:56 PM
They're not known to be a fast worker, sadly. Couple of months ago, someone had their funds stuck for 2 months and 8 days:

Good news: after 2 months and 8 days of waiting, Blockchain Exchange finally sent me the funds. I will never use Blockchain again, let that be sure!

This was their comment:
Quote
Due to a breach of our terms and conditions, your account has been suspended. The funds have been refunded to the crypto address you have provided and the account holds no custodial funds.

Unfortunately, we are not able to provide any details about individual applications or specific reasons for rejection. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

The difference is blockchain.com asked for lots of information from the user in question. Once the "review" has started, the op there has only received canned answers like "it's in process" lol bit similar, no?

One of the reasons why it's not advisable to store coins on a custodial wallet for years especially on platforms with bad raps like blockchain.com

May I ask if we're talking about a big amount?
425  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Risks of the Exodus Exchange function ("CoinSwitch Scam") on: January 15, 2024, 01:19:43 AM
Their exchange  isn't worth a try because  I just went through  some bunch of reviews and it's  somehow  disappointing, truly some of their third parties  are scam

And last I check they don't let you choose which third party exchange to use. The best part is how most of them are either lesser knowns to never heard or popular but has a bad rap on the community.

Quote from: exodus latest terms of service
Cryptocurrency exchanges (for token-to-token exchanges), such as
1inch(1inch.io), Aeroswap (aeroswap.io), ChangeHero (changehero.io), Changelly
(changelly.com), Changenow (changenow.io), Cripto InterCambio
(criptointercambio.com), Jupiter (jup.io), LetsExchange (letsexchange.io),
n.Exchange (n.Exchange), Ramp Swaps, Ltd. (ramp.network), and Switchain
(switchain.com)

So there's a good chance you'll encounter a problematic platform like n.exchange who once asked for unfulfillable documents in the name of KYC/AML lol:

As a supporting documentation they wanted me to show bitcoin purchase contracts with personal details and IDs of counter parties, can you imagine?

For sure my real counterparts refused to cooperate and reveal themselves to the NExchange ( who the hell is N.Exchange Huh )
426  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Newbie promoting Ponzi scheme on: January 14, 2024, 10:33:07 PM
I could login to my account but here is the next twist ....

"Because the company's recent daily income from high-yield projects exceeded the reqirements of Biriths tax laws, it was detected and required to pay taxis by the British Revenue Service (HMRC).

Each user must cooperate with the company in paying taxes. Please pay tax at 22% of all funds in the account. Paying taxes is just a formality for your cooperation with our company. Please cooperate, All funds in the account can be withdrawn after completing the tax payment. "

Ofc, I could not withdrew any money and ofc I did not send any.

Since than my account was froozen.

Ah for a sec, I thought the scammers would still wanna climb the trust ladder but I typically see the tax excuse when the scam steps has progressed too far already -- as you may have noticed, one of the trick is to gain your trust by letting you withdraw.

Does the "friend" who introduced you into this is someone who randomly slid into your dms? cause they could totally be part of the scam scheme.
427  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to pay a cruise with criptocurrency on: January 14, 2024, 12:48:13 PM
It's not exactly paying with cryptocurrency but there are crypto debit card providers, here's a good list: Big List of Crypto Debit Cards -- note that you will have to pass an identity verification for this.

Honestly, with all the hoops and whatnot, you might as well just sell your crypto for fiat and pay with it.
428  Economy / Gambling / Re: JustCasino.io | Get the Best Crypto Casino Experience on: January 14, 2024, 11:43:24 AM
I almost missed it, I gave up my intention to make an inj deposit for my personal safety, it's very rare for me to find many prohibited countries that are not allowed to play at Justcasino, luckily I read it first, almost lost my funds if I made a deposit, Will there be any changes implemented, I will see the progress
Who's gonna interested to gamble under pressure? Cheesy

Even you can gamble using VPN or something like that, there was been mentioned withdrawal and refund might not be successful.

IIRC there was a casino has kind of strict rules too and they ended up no one is interested to gamble on there. This casino should try to overcome forbid so many countries except their goals are only serve to specific regions like local casino.
it's better to avoid it first than to have problems with withdrawals, maybe we can just use a VPN to play and deposit, but we will know what's next when we want to withdraw our money, according to tos they will not refund, it's best not to too reckless and hasty always be careful

Hopefully, one of the adjustments Little Mouse was talking about here was reducing the restricted countries:

JustCasino is VPN-friendly. However, I have been informed that after reading all these responses, the team decided to make some adjustments.

I guess, they will make an annoucement soon -- fingers crossed lol.

But yeahhh, if you're one of the restricted countries, it's best to not bypass the restriction unless you're prepared for the risk. Some of us though, despite not being in one of the restricted countries use VPN  for the extra privacy. I guess by "VPN friendly", I could take that justcasino is OK for such purpose.

Heya Royse,

I would like to inform you that I'm leaving the campaign. Big thanks for these past couple of weeks, it's always nice to work with you. I'll continue chiming in on megapari's ANN thread whenever I can 🫡

431  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where Can I can do Leverage trading from Canada? on: January 12, 2024, 03:38:30 PM
Similar thing has been asked on r/BitcoinCA -- a local crypto subreddit for Canada -- so I suggest taking a look at them as well.

1. Bitcoin (BTC): Margin / Leverage Trading platforms that work in Canada?
2. Crypto Derivatives?
3. Recommended Futures Platform

I insist to not blind trust anything though. Do the usual background checks and weigh in the risk specially on lesser known exchanges.
432  Economy / Exchanges / Re: onyxchange.com is legit? on: January 12, 2024, 02:22:21 PM
Doesn't look trustworthy to me, honestly...

I'm not sure what did you find when you googled but there's nothing from what I can see... for instance, they linked a trustpilot page and it's empty, the same goes for their socials as well. Another thing that bothered me is how there's a bestchange logo at the footer but they're not on bestchange's exchangers list, see: https://www.bestchange.com/list.html

To sum it up, I wouldn't risk it. If you're looking for an instant exchange, there are reputable services out there like exch, see thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=577207.0

About your friend, are they your actual friend or someone who randomly slid into your DMs? cause scam DMs are pretty rampant.
433  Economy / Gambling / Re: MEGA:PARI |SPORTS & CASINO| SIGNATURE CAMPAIGN on: January 11, 2024, 01:36:08 AM
I tried to find a place where to enter this promo code for free spins in my account but I could not find it, and it is probably to late now.

Have you tried this? -- on your top right, there's a person symbol, hit that and there should be a "bonuses and gifts" section where you can enter promo codes.

Dear All!
Sorry for confusion about the promo -  I have now added the promo code to the post which you can apply in your account or on the registration page.
You dont need to deposit for this one, however the winnings should be wagered from the main balance.
Enjoy and let me know if you have any questions!

I would also like to ask how long is the promo?

Upon entering the code, I was asked to link my mobile which from what I read can be used to restore my account, would it be possible to disable this feature? otherwise I would like to ask if the recovery through phone number would bypass the totp 2fa I setup?
434  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: bitcoin-wallet.org? on: January 10, 2024, 11:56:07 PM
Looks like this is a scam site.
In March 2022, I withdrew a certain amount from Binance to their wallet (34WsWd6otLK49JMKJv74LW9wC1txK6tvG1) (significant for me, at that time about $3,500 at exchange rate).
I saved seed-phrase and keys ONLY to “favorites” of telegram messenger.

Pretty much! I can't see this being a legitimate service after reading this whole thread. However, I just wanna say that keeping a highly sensitive information such as seed online isn't a good practice. If you ever decide to get cryptos again, I would recommend a reputable wallet and store your seed offline.

On the bitcoin-org website there is a wallet address for donations (3MokaUgANx7wRkEUeBYEiE1VvZ8kkZVmUF), perhaps someone will be able to link the address with donations and the address where the stolen funds went to MEXC (33ze68qZoBE9R4uMtRQGNnvgFTYN4sPBUq)

I'm not sure if they're gonna reuse the address but try to see if you can add it on mexc blocklist. But you probably have to get mexc a police report to get them to fully cooperate.

I also wonder if the perps are being careful with the donation address. Unless I missed something, I only see two addresses where utxo's were consolidated:

1. https://mempool.space/address/1354rtws4vv8QE4wZq9s1Xa9fUMBBN3ac8
2. https://mempool.space/address/1KSQWmKtMuo3QAReun8uJiHsTwmixaB1CK

and as you may have noticed, funds from these two addresses have not moved.
435  Economy / Services / Re: Paxful Requiring ID VERIFICATION to withdraw your funds... HELP Needed on: January 10, 2024, 10:27:42 PM
I doubt VPN would help when they've already flagged/marked your accounts. I'm pretty sure paxful.com doesn't allow multiple accounts as well, now, this could be one of the reasons why your accounts were flagged.

Honestly have never heard of paxful being lenient on this-- kyc matters, so you most likely have to pass identity verification in order to get your funds out. Nevertheless, talk it out with the support.

PS: Exchanges board is more suited for this
436  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Woes of gambling on: January 10, 2024, 12:02:14 AM
I guess you might feel wronged if you have the wrong expectations. Gambling should just be for entertainment like the feeling when you're trying your luck and not some sort of source of income. Most long time gamblers understands that and have no problems.

Also, the house edge is setup in a way where it's fair for both parties, casinos are businesses afterall. Should I say, it is setup in moderation -- for the lack of better word? for instance, as we know, house edge is more on the long run plus each game has a different percentage of house edge so if one is concerned, they should pick within the lowest ones.
437  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What casino has the best bonuses? on: January 08, 2024, 10:33:10 PM
As mentioned by other members, it's complicated to gauge but I suggest using casino guru's list to make the load easier for you when you try to narrow your picks. The have a really nice set of filters such as, types of bonuses, wagering requirements, payment methods etc.

439  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which wallet can i use for my needs on: January 08, 2024, 09:49:37 PM
I had experience a syncing issue once on unstoppable wallet but I would still suggest it for multi-currency wallet because of their reputation + open source + overall wallet experience is still great for the most part. To make sure you're not on some phishing link, see: https://unstoppable.money/

But if you're planning on storing huge amounts, I would not recommend it since it's a mobile wallet + hot wallet which means security isn't as hardened. Typical choice for this would be an open source hardware wallet as it is still convenient for the beginners. You should also practice good security habits because your wallet certainly won't protect you from human error mistakes -- most stuff from here are still relevant in general, see: https://github.com/Lissy93/personal-security-checklist
440  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Old blockchain.info wallet from 2014 and before -16,17,19 words precovery phrase on: January 08, 2024, 07:14:24 PM
Actually why am I writing in this thread.  I'm running an experiment and will report here how this recovery system in blockchain.info works.  How does support work and will I need to contact support again or several times.  Will support respond and what will they say?  And will I eventually be able to restore access to this custodial wallet?  I did all this yesterday.  So far there has been no response from blockchain.info.  When I enter my wallet number and password, it says that I need confirmation by email (to which I do not have access).  So far it's a vicious circle.

It appears blockchain.com can at least tell you the registered email address in your account? so keep pushing onto that  Cheesy

Remembering the creating date is now important as the support told me they can help me and will send me my old emailadress
if i prove that the wallet id is by me by naming the date or the wallet creating date.

I wonder if you have the json file (wallet backup file) with you? From what I saw, blockchain.com barely provides help when it comes to legacy accounts so if you don't have that, your chances are much more slimmer than before. They also advertise the wallet as non-custodial so I guess they can take a "we're only a software provider" stance or something similar.

Quote from: delfastTion
So, on this specified service, I reset 2FA and entered a new email in the appropriate column, to which I naturally have access.  Then I received a notification that the recovery process had started.  And another message that the recovery process can last up to 2 weeks.

Sorry it wasn't clear to me but what was the specified service? keychainX? or this--https://login.blockchain.com/wallet/forgot-password?
