As in f2f OP? if so, you can try checking bisq, localcryptos and hodlhodl. There may be other exchanges in kycnot.me depending on the coins you want to buy, just make sure to DYOR. Lastly, if you can't find any offers up to your liking, I encourage you to start a new one.

In a previous message I already wrote that I am not responsible for the messages of other users.
Ah yes, creating alts and fake conversation in order to improve fybit's image in the forum are all just work of a regular user, a person completely unrelated to your exchange, yes yes very believable...

Custodial services (rewards/staking/interest etc..) are tied to your KYC information and not your backup phrase which is why if you try to recover your blockchain.com wallet using your backup phrase, all the custodial services you have started wouldn't exist. This doesn't mean it's all gone, you would need to reverify again like what the support told you to recover those custodial accounts. I've seen enough poor service from blockchain.com that I'm not even surprised you've been waiting more than a month for the verification to push thru...
But it's slightly a different story if your account has been compromised as the amount of coins you had may not be the same anymore... I've never used any of their custodial services but I've always thought users are to get some sort of notification for every withdrawal like emails. If so, have you tried checking on this OP?

I suggest going into detail about your KYC experience OP (how many times, what were asked each time). Just wanna grasp how bad was it and it's kinda hard to draw conclusions based on assumptions.
Are you perhaps from a restricted country? if so, it's advisable to not bypass such restriction again AKA break their TOS. A lenient treatment isn't guaranteed, not to mention that CEXs tend to be stricter over time. Maybe lenient today, but what about tomorrow? maybe not caught today, but what about tomorrow? it's possible this was also one of the reasons why they froze your account.

I found this article and have a list of stores that accept Bitcoin in New York City. Yelp also has the "accept cryptocurrency" filter on "Features", it could bring different sets or more results. @OP. If you wanna be as accurate as possible on whether a certain place is still accepting bitcoin, asking them or doing research (both can be done remotely) before your visit is the best way.

It's very simple really: anyone offering you 20% daily ROI like this opictrader is scammer, as simple as that. There are no elaborate scamming techniques or anything of that sort, they just count on ignorance and greed as you have to be combination of both to fall for something like this. I mean, just look at screenshot from their webiste, its a basic scam. On top of that, they claim to be six years in operation while basic whois domain check reveals that website is less than a year old. and these are one of the things that I think should've been mentioned in the video. We can probably summarize on why the whole service is a scam using one or two sentences but if you're making an 11-minute scambait video, you might as well point out as much red flags as possible so the viewers would be able to do the same.

I suggest putting more emphasis on why it's a scam. Probably break down the reasons why down to the small details, that way it will become very informative for the average ppl.
Honestly, you seem new to scambaiting OP. It was kind of all over the place especially at the confrontation part where you sounded lost while the scammer was reasoning you out. You can try chiming in on Scam Accusations board, it's pretty good when it comes to investigation. There are probably other places as well if you look for it.

Ignore any "hardware market verified listings" if it isn't backed by any clear evidences. I've seen scammers make a list of trusted services only to subtly insert their scam service along with reputable ones to make it appear trustable.

This doesn't look like a "JUST IN" for a lot of countries listed... Cuba, Iran, Syria, and Venezuela have long been banned from gate.io which I don't think was ever lifted. Other countries have also started showing up in the restricted list a month ago according from this reddit thread I just went to gate.io to open an account. Everything I've seen says US citizens are able to join, but as soon as I clicked on join I got this popup:
" Citizens and residents of the U.S.A, Canada (Ontario and Quebec), Malaysia, Singapore and Malta are prohibited entirely, Japan and Brazil are only allowed to trade whitelisted cryptocurrencies which are strictly selected based on the local lawyer’s options and regulations in the locations respectively. "
I continued on to the first page of starting an account and read at the bottom of that page in red
" ***!***Citizens and residents of United States, Ontario and Quebec of Canada, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Syria, the Government of Venezuela, Crimea, Bangladesh, Bolivia, Ecuador, Kyrgyzstan are not supported."
I've been to these pages before and I remember disclaimers, but I'm pretty sure this is new. Have we been banned, does anyone know?
I am not sure if it's possible to use Gate exchange without kyc and I never used it,
To sum it up, you can deposit and trade but won't be able to withdraw until you KYC. The whole thing was ambigous to me, see: Does Gate.io requires KYC. If someone says they felt trapped, I'm not gonna argue about it.

490K+ total active users when you just started couple of months ago? Coincidentally, there's also little to no engangements in your twitter, reddit and trustpilot pages as well as user feedbacks in other places outside yours. It doesn't add up.

If they were to support ppl's endeavours, it wouldn't be on something as fragile as trading and something they are hostile about like cryptocurrencies (most countries are). In additon, even scholars and promising athletes aren't guaranteed of financial support if they keep on failing... I doubt it's gonna be any different for anything else. In fact compensating ppl's losses would just make it easier for them to fool around.

But how I can proof that I have Bitcoins in my wallet? And LBC deletes inactive accounts. And delete account functionality is deactivated, while your account is frozen. - Another trick/scam?
Best to check with them if your account fits their inactive category. But imo I don't think it is since your account is frozen which means you are forced to be inactive and inactivity is something voluntary... Their statement also says there's a possibility they will lift the suspension, so they will most likely keep your account. This is was LBC answered to me, sounds like they scam me without metnioning any reason: We will lift the suspension as soon as possible once the reasons for the suspension no longer exist. --- Best regards, LocalBitcoins
They can however terminate it and claim the bitcoins for other reason/s in case the situation changes. As a result of limitation, suspension or termination your access to and the withdrawal of bitcoins that you have in your LocalBitcoins wallet may be delayed or denied. If there are bitcoin transactions made to the wallet addresses associated with your terminated or deleted account after the termination or the deletion, LocalBitcoins has no obligation to return the bitcoins and you agree that the bitcoins become the property of LocalBitcoins. Note that by terminate, it doesn't mean that your account data will be wiped off their system.

You don't really need to be sure of whether it's a scam or not. Lots of time it's enough to just weigh down the risks and see if that is something you can take in. You might find more reviews in german speaking communities but I doubt it's gonna be up to reputable level. If you can, you should stick to those reputable websites. Maybe I'm nitpicking but I noticed their twitter has turned into a personal account rather than a business type. A great example is them retweeting this: 🔥 Announcement 🔥 We are looking for people to test our game👀 Tester will get 5 free Nfts! How to be a tester: ✅Follow us ✅Like and retweet We will pick 3 people! $Htr #NFTs #P2E #Nft Their last tweet about their platform was on 2020. Coincidentally, their promotional activities in bitcointalk, coinforum.de, facebook, medium all stopped sometime in the same year with their domain set to expire in a few months. Because of this, the service appears unprofessional and neglected. Couple that with little to no trustworthy reviews and I'd be marching away from it.

If it's okay with you OP, can we know where you're from? there should still be some safer ways for you to trade bitcoin instead of relying on unknown exchanges cause they have higher chances of turning out to be a scam/shady and therefore is not advisable to use. In addition, there are way more scams on the darknet so in this case, it's extra bad.

For now, just make sure you get regular updates about your account's situation cause this could happen to you as well. Time frames such as 7 days are pretty easy neglect when life happens. OP: Bittrex have disabled my account saying that locale not supported, they kept hold of all of savings and told they are working on a solution as my holdings in USD , I'm following with them for 5 months now and they seem playing a game and they will not give my money back
Competitive-Map-704: i waited about 1.5 years. and after got message like - you got 7 days to withdraw all your belongings and we'll close your account.

I doubt they were really concerned about mass frauds, otherwise the steam gift cards which is most used for it would've gotten the same treatment.

I now ponder as well, with much much regret.
Not sure what the heck was in my mind then, I could have filtered it away, not sure what i started have conversation on WhatsApp with her. Tested with very small amount on the platform and above to withdraw successfully back, probably since then my defence system went down.
It's totally possible you may have responded to them on a whim and ended up falling deeper into the pit due to their manipulation tricks. Take note that the person you've exchanged with could be highly trained for it, see this leaked (apparently 80-page) training manual for this scheme.

Only if they haven't learned anything from that experience cause a learned person should at least be skeptic of strangers especially over the internet. oh and i did search for that one as well bc looking up crypto mundo and shades brought back nothing (not surprised) so I tried with the email addresses and yes, it's the same thing, spammy reviews and email address only. No legit business has only email addresses to show their clients.

The company gets thousands and thousands of business proposals from all over the world. Imagine going through them to find out if it is a serious proposal and if the person or company is trustworthy or not. Well, the exchange is only giving untrustworthy vibes tbh. A poorly made website either means they are incapable of making a proper one or just doesn't care AKA insincere. Most importantly, they don't have a good track record cause there's literally nothing about them... What I need to know is if this site really is one working crypto currency site so I can decide if this person is trustworthy or not. If the page works as the person says then the person is reliable. If the site is a site that engages in fraud, then the person is not reliable.
If this site is a site that deals with fraud, I will of course end the contact with this "business person".
I would be really careful with this notion, working for a few times doesn't mean it's (or the person who recommended is) reliable. Take the pig butchering scams for instance... Basically, a person who claims to be a very successful person (typically in China) tries to get their victim to invest in cryptocurrency by making them trade in a no one has ever heard of exchange which they actually own. The scammer would proceed to break down their victim's walls by saying invest only a small amount blah blah. The trick is to gain the victim's trust so the first succeeding trades would be successful and it would go on and on until the victim is ready for that one big grand deposit in other words, when the pig is ripe enough. A part of this kinda reminds me of that particular scam so I mentioned. In any case, stay away.

if u google the word Crypto mundia or Crypto shades these 2 are more familier in BTC recovery u just give a try then u will find amazing on seeing the reviews of so many people What kind? I could only find reviews like this AKA SPAM. Many binary operations are ripper. I need to share this in here so you won’t lose your money cheaply to scam brokers. I invested about $320,000 on a binary option platform then I decided to withdraw after several weeks but the withdrawal wasn’t successful, then I tried to contact the platform via email and phone number, I didn’t get a response from them that was when everything started looking weird. Some weeks later I got a mail from them insisting I should invest more money if I want to withdraw my money which I rejected, and I never hear from them again that was when I knew I had been scammed. I was really devastated at those moment and felt so bad that my hard earned money was gone. After some months I came across a lot of testimonies on the web how CRYPTOSHADES (@) yahoo(.com) had helped many people recovered their stolen, scammed or duped money on bitcoin or any other form in digital currency. I contacted them and they promised to help me get my money back asked me some info about the scammer which I provided. The result was amazing I recovered all my stolen money back within 72 hours I was so happy as I never believe I could get my money back. Thanks CRYPTOSHADES you restore my happiness as I could see my funds in my wallets It's all the same script. Start with a sob story and ends with contact this email address they can help you. You see a lot of them posting it in off-topic places which means they are there to promote rather than to help. There's only their email address and spammy reviews, now that is far from reputable... In fact, you should avoid them.
