421  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Holding in Companies on: November 14, 2020, 11:51:24 PM
A lot of these companies are holding a huge percentage in circulation and I think we should not also forget about the individual whales. It is great that we are seeing these companies holding but it is kind if scary what they can do negatively. For sure, they are aiming for big profits but I hope this ends up in a good way.
422  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin could destroy economy on: November 14, 2020, 11:44:08 PM
Maybe in the area of people not using fiat and just using bitcoin is what you're thinking but I don't think that would happen. People will continue to use fiat and bitcoin and the fact that we are still seeing the price of bitcoin into USD means we are sti far from that.
423  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin needs more women. on: November 14, 2020, 11:08:17 PM
Actually men dominant in Blockchain technology, with a few women, before any thing, remember the men are the head leading the family of bitcoin with a strong hands, which every one know that bitcoin is the King of cryptocurrency, therefore the woman are the support.

I don't know how you treat woman in your country but there are a lot of women leading and dominant in this community. They are not developers but they can be an influential individual. They can be whoever they wanted and you can just limit them into support, they can be a whale or an investor.
424  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lost more in the process to recover ? on: November 14, 2020, 11:03:24 PM
...the best thing to do when this things happen is to pack up stop and enjoy your winnings.

This is the problem to most of gamblers I know. They are thinking that it is their win, that they should stop and go home. I agree that they should stop but that is not their win, they are just taking back their losses. They took back the money they lost, how is that a win? You win bets maybe, but the money? It is not a win.
425  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is an entertainment? on: November 14, 2020, 10:46:35 PM
obviously gambling is not fun and entertainment already for a long time,is a business a method of earning where the best, the truly experienced ones can earn a lot and turn it into their main occupation and main financial income

Even though you are experienced and skilled, I doubt that it is not fun for them. Professional gamblers even lose a lot of money because of gambling, they are already pros, take note of that. As long as they are gambling, they can lose, professional or not and they still see it as an exciting game. They can take losses, and they are ready for that.
426  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An Indian boy committed suicide after losing money by Betting in IPL on: November 14, 2020, 03:40:47 PM
...The boy probably went through a mental stress and thought that everyone would be mad at him if they ever found out what he has done.

This is the sad thing about this. People don't need to be hard on themselves when they made these selfish mistakes, that is why we have these consequences so we can learn from them, not run from them. I don't blame the teenager for this, I just hope that people should try to strengthen themselves especially in these kinds of situations.
But the one who committed suicide is just a boy. He still doesn't know much about that, as he said, he probably thought that everyone will be mad at him or what. He borrowed money from his friend and try to take back his losses but lose all of it, in this case, a boy with a very young mind will probably face a mental stress and cannot think right.

That is the reason why I said that I can't blame him and what I am saying is not addressed to the boy himself but to us gamblers that should understand the consequences of what we are doing. We should know better, and hope that this could be a lesson that might help gamblers to control themselves.
427  Economy / Economics / Re: Working plans for uneducated unemplyement people in USA on: November 14, 2020, 02:52:57 PM
That is a great plan in my opinion, a lot of people would really kill for a job right now and I hope that would be implemented as soon as possible as it will not just help the people but the country as well. We should also emphasize that we still have a pandemic right now and there are still some problems that needed to be prioritized.
428  Economy / Economics / Re: Biggest threats to the price of Bitcoin. on: November 14, 2020, 12:07:23 PM
This is informative what I really know was the quantum computing didn't know that there were other threats that could possibly eliminate the Bitcoin. Well it's better that we are aware of this one.

Well, we still have time before the creation of such a powerful computer. At that time, surely the technology of bitcoin and things behind it already adjusted for it not to be hacked or infiltrated like what happened in the past. For now, it is a threat but I think developers have their plan and know what to do if that time come.
429  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what happened to Bitcoin and cryptocurrency? on: November 14, 2020, 11:02:36 AM
I think people would continue to use it. I don't think that it would be legal at that time but I am not saying that it will be illegal, what I am saying is that I guess it would be an alternative to fiat and even though we are using the digital representation of fiats at that future, bitcoin will be the popular way to transact on the internet.
What I know for real is that it is going to be legal in so many countries, even places where it is illegal, they will learn and understand it better and allow people to use it. But by then the government will look for ways to be regulating it, and it’s going to be through centralized exchanges, which a lot of people are making use of.

But this still depends on what will happen to the adoption of crypto currencies. The price of bitcoin is increasing thanks to the demand and the people riding in, if this continues we might see the adoption increasing and that is when the government of countries would have the idea of regulating it. Right now, we still don't know, we will see that in the next few years.
430  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin needs more women. on: November 13, 2020, 11:48:46 PM

431  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why most of us are losing money in sports betting? on: November 13, 2020, 11:24:31 PM
Sports betting is a combination of both luck + research. First and foremost is research which helps you to know the team which may have the upper hand so that you can bet on it and then some part is the luck which may help you win the bet as that day may belong to that team.

But that doesn't apply to anyone, and I think it is not the term "research" that we usually say but the analysis of the team and players. I say that it doesn't apply to anyone since they have the knowledge about the team and the players so these gamblers could just make some adjustments based on the available data or scenarios. Still, they can lose even despite all of that, the reason we call it gambling.
432  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How long until we can bet with bitcoin in real life casinos? on: November 13, 2020, 11:07:20 PM
I think bitcoin is really suitable for online gambling, most gambler will only use it for online gambling only. For those who like gambling to come to the place they will only use money fiat to do so. Because they will think, he has to spend money to buy bitcoin first and walk to the gambling place and he will about fee that will charge and it is quite annoying. Different with money fiat, they don't need to buy anything just come to the gambling place and exchange their money to the chip and then he can play at that time.

But what is the difference between that to online casinos? That is the same, right? If you want to go to an online casino to do some bets, you need to transact money from that site, right? That also will be having these transaction fees, the best approach here is for these banks to have these separate wallets of gamblers so they can just transact once and left some bitcoins they can use next time, right? But I don't think most of us would like that.

434  Economy / Economics / Re: Is COVID-19 an excuse for governments & central banks to print money? on: November 13, 2020, 10:50:54 PM
I don't see it as an excuse because this will have a adverse effects on the economy for a long time. I don't think any government want anything that will downturn it economic performance in any way.

That might be true but maybe some don't care what will happen in the incoming years, they can just do something about it when it comes. What matters is that they have a lot of money they can get from those and if the situation was better, they can just fix what they did while retaining that huge amount of money in their pockets. Win-win situation.
435  Economy / Economics / Re: Second lockdown in Europe can their economy survive this?. on: November 13, 2020, 10:44:31 PM
Everyone can always get back to their feet. This pandemic is not forever. People will always find their ways to survive and recover from any crisis. Another test in humanity, where people learn a lot of lessons in life during this lockdown, whether financial or survival strategies. Now, we can appreciate those preppers and how they are fully prepared on this type of crisis.

Obviously the pandemic is not going to last forever. But we need to understand that a lot of people are facing joblessness and poverty as a result of this pandemic. The Spanish flu pandemic of 1918 lasted for more than two years. If COVID 19 turns out similar to that one, then we will be in a lot of trouble. The economy can't handle another year of downturn. Even the richest countries will face financial issues.

We already have an effective vaccine for this virus and what we need to do now is wait for the mass production of this. I don't know how long will we wait but Pfizer is a great and big company and I think 2021 would be the end of this suffering. The bad thing about our country though is that our economy is getting worse as we are bombarded by storms in these past weeks. This is turning to be bad, there are still a lot of places covered in mud and flood, what year.
436  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's the next Bitcoin´s NEW 2020 HIGH? on: November 13, 2020, 03:08:06 PM
I think it is too early to say. We are witnessing great price movements but we never know if that will be the end of it, or if it is just starting. For me, I think we don't even need to talk about the new ATH this year because it might not happen in this year. Maybe in the next or the year after next year, I think it is still at that point that it is just affected by the wave of the people moving in, after that it will just stop again.
437  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin needs more women. on: November 13, 2020, 02:42:14 PM
Bitcoin is for everyone, men or women that doesn't matter since we are free what we want to do here. That is also the part of decentralization, if they wanted to invest, they can; if they don't want to that is on them. We don't need to force people to invest or use bitcoin, like what they wanted in life they have their options or choices and it is on them if they will be putting bitcoin or crypto currencies on that options.
438  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An Indian boy committed suicide after losing money by Betting in IPL on: November 13, 2020, 01:44:51 PM
...Let us make sure that before we gamble is we must have control in ourselves .

I think not just before gambling but before we make these rash decisions that in the end, we will not be able to face the consequences that might happen. Even if he can control himself while he gambles, he can't control himself from borrowing money to gamble. He did not control himself from killing himself, we really need control to ourselves.
439  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why most of us are losing money in sports betting? on: November 13, 2020, 12:00:48 PM
Perhaps, losing most of the time in any gambling site online was already a nature of this business type.
Maybe also a gambler loss their money in the gambling it's because of addiction, greediness, habit, these are the things
that I most often see every time I played in the gambling platform.

Well, we can say that it is usually on addiction, greedy people, and habit since they are the ones that usually do gambling. Under habits, we can also say those people that says gambling is their entertainment is there since even though they are gambling for fun, they can't just say they are always winning right? So they are also losing their money.
440  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How long until we can bet with bitcoin in real life casinos? on: November 13, 2020, 11:42:29 AM
If the physical casinos want to retake their market share after the lockdown they should accept crypto currencies.

Well, I guess we can say that they have their reason why they are not accepting bitcoin. If there are a lot of gamblers in their casino that wanted to use crypto currency or just bitcoin, they would ask or maybe consider accepting it. I think they are not actually competing with the online casinos since it is already popular before this pandemic, it is just exploded in this pandemic since most of us are scared to go outside.

It is not that easy to retake their market share, especially in this situation. They'll accept what they are getting and they can't do anything about it since we have a pandemic.
