1341  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: COVID-19 and its effect in Gambling World on: March 19, 2020, 10:55:03 PM
Therefore, there is a huge chance that COVID-19 would drastically decrease the physical gambling and do somehow can change gamblers' physical gambling onto digital one. And with that, it can somehow increase the community of overall cryptocurrency.

But the main concern here right now is how to make that virus go away and not time to gamble online, people who are gambling in casinos can play in online gambling casinos but I doubt if they can and will spend hours to play online when there is a big concern going around the world.

Trust me, they are gambling. I can say this because of the fact that a lot of people are still carefree about this situation. Not all of the countries have it bad, there are still those countries that are still not affected and even some countries are already affected, there are still those physical gambling that is happening especially online gambling or betting since most of the people nowadays are at their houses containing themselves to avoid the virus.
1342  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Things you shouldn't do when gambling at casino this time... on: March 19, 2020, 10:14:39 AM
~snip

Sadly, I can't really do this on casinos since all of the casinos and other places like malls, and even some restaurants are closed because of the pandemic that is happening. I don't know if the governments in your country already ban casinos or other places because of the pandemic but it is for the good of the people. Though it is really boring working at home, we can't really do anything about it.
1343  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Store your bitcoin on: March 19, 2020, 12:42:45 AM
At this moment, bitcoin and all other crypto currencies had a huge collapse due to the corona virus affect. This COVID-19 had a great impact on the market. But at this moment it is a great opportunity to earn and store your bitcoin because after several months the crypto market will rise again and with the increase of Bitcoin market price, your stored crypto will be increased and you will have a huge amount of profit. Besides that,we all should pray for the current situation of the world and hope it will be over soon.

It's been said that coronavirus has no effect on the bitcoin price since it is not directly connected to bitcoin or any other crypto currencies. It may rise or not but all we need to do is hold for now and wait for the halving to come. I think that is the only thing we are waiting for the price to increase.
1344  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Price Halving succeed with Currently Situation on: March 18, 2020, 11:59:34 PM
The bitcoin price rose after halving, it did last year and I think it might do its thing this year too. Halving's purpose is already stated so I don't think we should even say that it will not succeed since the main purpose of it is the answer here.
1345  Economy / Economics / Re: The Corona Pandemic economic guessing game on: March 18, 2020, 11:33:53 PM
I am certain that it is China. They are the origin of the virus and a lot of people died in the country, They should also be blamed since instead of containing the people to avoid the pandemic, they did not do it. They are one of the biggest markets and had a lot of exports to other countries but with the lockdown, they can't export goods to other countries. Other countries are affected that are related to China's not able to trade or export goods like Japan.
1346  Economy / Economics / Re: Coronavirus/Covid 19 Impact on World Economy Hit Bitcoin on: March 18, 2020, 11:18:05 PM
What are the suggestions on the world economy, if Covid 19 will continue to spread in other parts of the world as its impact also hit Bitcoin and Crypto In General, Your welcome?

Negative effects on the world economy are inevitable in this pandemic. Every country is affected and if we will be suggesting something about it, I think the best one is to follow the rules on quarantine to avoid being a casualty. More victims mean more casualty, more casualty means negative effect on the economy. And obviously it will not just stop at you if you are not taking care of yourself and following the instructions to be safe.
1347  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: DOTA2 The International 2020 on: March 18, 2020, 04:36:50 PM
We are still far away though but if isnt still get resolved on that time then they would surely move or re-schedule it.Seeing an international or main event without an audience is really a god damn boring thing to watch.

Well, I feel you, bro. I am also a player and I started at Dota All-stars. It is announced that the 4th major and minor tournaments of the DPC season will be canceled. That just means we are so close to being at The International now. Still, there is a major which is the LA Major and it was delayed because of the pandemic. Hope this stops at the end of April so we can start grinding for our Compendium after that. Really excited about the new rewards, items, sets and chat wheels for that. I hope they don't remove "Lakad Matatag" and "Ceeeeeebbb!" chat wheel in there.
1348  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why there are so many people who get addicted on gambling? on: March 18, 2020, 03:19:02 PM
Well, because it is gambling. Ever know the phrase "path of least resistance"? Gambling is a path of least resistance for others since you can earn a lot of money in minutes just by betting into something. You are risking a lot of things and it will give you a good profit quickly or the opposite. Some people take it as an opportunity and not a risk that is why a lot of people lose because they thought that gambling is the answer, they don't know it is the problem.
1349  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: DOTA2 The International 2020 on: March 18, 2020, 02:43:59 PM
This is really devastating especially for gamblers in Dota 2, less tournaments, less gambles.

Well, it is really sad. Not just Dota2 but other esports as well. For now, CSGO still has its ESL pro league 11 so I could still bet on that, just lost my bet I put in Complexity. Dota 2 on the other hand just finished their Summit 12 where Fnatic smashed OG. Seed, sadly I bet on OG seed. Further tournaments, as far as I know, are cancelled or postponed, so sad.
1350  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Doomed ? on: March 18, 2020, 12:37:41 AM
Well, coronavirus did affect the market and there are a lot of people that are so shocked by the price change. I am used to these kinds of changes it is just really surprising it fell that low but still I see this as an opportunity to invest again and not sell my crypto currencies. If I did that, that just means that I admit losing my money. Instead of doing that, keep on holding; it will not disappoint you.
1351  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How is Bitcoin useful as a currency if so few services accept it? on: March 17, 2020, 11:35:00 PM
Although, most of people around the globe are satisfied using fiat and don't have any need to use cryptocurrencies .

Well, for now, they are. In this time of the pandemic, more and more transactions will be happening online and people would realize that they also need these kinds of methods to pay online. For now, they will stick to popular mobile payments and there are also applications like Paypal and Paymaya and in the future, it would be crypto currencies.
1352  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How is Bitcoin useful as a currency if so few services accept it? on: March 17, 2020, 10:27:48 PM
Right now bitcoin can't shoulder the abilities of the traditional money because it's still in the early adoption stage. If large amount of people, also businesses uses it then maybe you could see some significance.

We've been in that stage for a long time now, it's been more than 10 years. We are not in that early adoption, we are in that stage where we need to stand for it. There are a lot of countries that banned bitcoin and now they are legalizing it for a reason. Volatility is one of the main reasons why people don't want to use it so we just use local exchanges to convert our btcs and use it.
1353  Economy / Economics / Re: Can we agree BTC is not a store of value? on: March 17, 2020, 01:40:43 PM
However much you want it to be, BTC is NOT a store of value.  It has been a few years since $20K and even now, each peak is smaller than the previous peak.  Probably be $3K by the end of the week.

I think bitcoin being a store of value is still debatable despite its volatility. If we will be tracking the price changes over the years, you can still see that people will be having good profits despite the huge dumps. Now that the price is lower, people might take advantage of it so I don't think it will fall further to $3K. Right now, it is getting stable at $5K and then the halving is getting close so I think that would be the lowest this year.
1354  Economy / Economics / Re: Digital Diplomas With Blockchain on: March 14, 2020, 01:41:00 PM
I really didn't get your view point on the post. Are you saying that because of corona virus, people are now seeing the need to study diploma courses in blockchain? Because of the lack of unnecessary contact that is involved in blockchain and cryptocurrency?
Please you can clarify more.

No. The school will be producing digital diplomas, in other words, intangible diplomas to be given or to be distributed with the help of the blockchain technology. With the coronavirus spreading like a wildfire, they can't afford those students to be affected by the virus just by attending their graduation. A meme was even made in our country where students who will graduate are sending their photos in a group chat with their graduation attire.

It's sad to think that graduation is a special occasion that only happens once in a while yet they have to experience this kind of situation but for the safety of everyone, I think it's the best alternative they can do. After this pandemic, they can still get their diploma and have their graduations.

This is really sad, not just because they will not be able to get their diplomas physically but because they will not be enjoying the graduation that you could only experience in a while. I just hope that this will be only applicable while this pandemic is around and I hope this ends immediately.
1355  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: DOTA2 The International 2020 on: March 13, 2020, 11:11:33 PM
That surely is a spectacle for many fans that looking forward to watching how OG will play and there is a sure new strategy that he might show to us but unfortunately, I think this season is a hang time for ana.

Not just Ana but Jerax already called his retirement. Ceb on the other hand move to being coach again and giving way to new OG lineup. This is really amazing. 3 midlaners in OG, as I said they're like wanting to dominate each lane and supports do the roaming. It is really early for this thread but it is good since, with the pandemic on the run, we don't know what might happen. These pro players go from country to country, they are at risk with the tournaments happening.
1356  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: DOTA2 The International 2020 on: March 13, 2020, 02:01:26 PM
Im not really rooting that much for OG now but having Sumail on Pos1 is badass.

They are the defending champion, obviously, people would be looking at them right now how would they defend their title with a different lineup. I love Saksa's gameplay since it really fits OG's strat, being aggressive. And with these laners they have, they can leave one hero at the lane and dominate other lanes with the supports they have. Ana will not be back at TI10 so I know some fans are disappointed about it. Right now, I will be looking at TNC since they won back to back major titles and they are the one for sure being the invited team. Nigma will be also going with revenge on the development they had after TI9. PSGLGD also made their changes with the lineup so they are also to look out too. Other teams? Maybe EG, VG and Team Secret but I am not really expecting that much.
1357  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ways to recover from being addicted in gambling. on: March 12, 2020, 11:39:50 PM
I think there is only one thing that is most important in this case is about awareness in yourself because with you have awareness, then surely you will have a wiser mindset not to spend a lot of your time and money in gambling so, gambling will not make your life ruined and you will not be a dangerous gambling addict.

Despite the importance of it, a lot of people don't have it. Most people these days are not like in the past where they have time to reflect what they've done, usually, they just do things they wanted to do, things they know they will have fun. Depressed, sad, tired, uncontented are the common reasons why they are gambling and still, they are not aware that they are being sucked in with gambling and they can't get out. I am not saying that all of them are like that but we should be really careful.
1358  Economy / Economics / Re: Coin prices down 25% to 30% this morning. on: March 12, 2020, 10:56:57 PM
People would be panic selling, I would panic buying at these times. Never seen bitcoin's price this low since last year. Well, time to reinvest boys, this chance doesn't come that often.
1359  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID-19: Do not worry the market worry on people. on: March 12, 2020, 02:25:17 PM
I think people are overreacting since they thought that if people are having a hard time dealing with transactions and money because of this epidemic, they might sell their bitcoins and affect the price negatively. We should not be affected in terms of our crypto currencies, this virus is not directly affecting the price of bitcoin if it was the reason of the dump it should've dropped earlier when the virus is just starting.

but its not the case that happen . the price of bitcoin increase more right after the start of virus  but the price drop after several days   . that is because no people are not affected yet but eventually it spread fast and affect the people severly  .

i think over reacting is part of thier plan because they want the prices to drop so that they can  accumulate the item easily   . if the drop of the price affect cryptos then we should be happy because  this what were all waitin for  .

If that is the case then what is the connection of the pandemic and the price of bitcoin? The price fell last week because of an exchange being hacked as far as I know. It has nothing to do with the pandemic that is happening. It just a coincidence that the price pump and price dump happened at that point.
1360  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Now Legal In India? on: March 12, 2020, 01:16:02 PM
Blockchain advocates have hailed the recent Indian Supreme Court’s pro-crypto ruling as a landmark for adoption and development. Now, new forces are emerging that seek to put the brakes on India’s rapid embrace of cryptocurrency.  What do you think about the future of crypto in India, guys?

Is this really true? Someone posted here and I can't find it now that this is still being talked by the government of India. In terms of its future, I think it would be good since India is one of those countries that supports Mobile payment. With bitcoin, I think India would love using it.

Today become bad moment for cryptocurrency after faced with Corona virus and make bitcoin and many altcoin going down to lower price, I don't know why without bad news bitcoin suddenly going down to lower price and crash more than 30%.

We can't really say that this pandemic is affecting bitcoin. There are a lot of other reasons why the price fell and that is not because of it.
