43724  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [In Stock] Batch 8! Gridseed miners in Stock in Los Angeles. [$225] on: April 17, 2014, 02:55:40 AM
prices jumped up bigtime.  I have ordered about 27 gridseeds around 16-18 from zoom hash and six from gawminers.  not sure what has happened to prices.

I am east coast and gawminers is closer to me.  and today they are much cheaper.

purchase 5  for 650 use code 5more and it drops to 600  comes to 120 a miner.  a bit confused as to what happened here.

right now both companies have been saint- like to me.  just do not understand the price gap that exists right now?

and this one   shows my miners network  setting can you bring yours up?

are you mining with a cat 5 hard wire or wi fi  as wi fi sucks.

notice it ends in .195  that is the miners name it must not be the same as any other item on your network

notice the (0) before the .195   you may have (1) not (0)  must match your router  at that number is for your router

43728  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: French ASIC miner company ehsminer.com on: April 16, 2014, 09:34:14 PM
So I can go to

zoomhash

http://zoomhash.com/  use a credit card or paypal

if I am on the west coast of the usa

and I can go to gawminers   same here use a credit card or paypal

http://www.gawminers.com/

if I am on the east coast of the usa and I can have 20x 5 chip units of gridseed in hand in a day or two.

that is about 7000khs of hash.  or I can send you money  in France and wait?

hmm I wonder what I will do.

Read my signature and guess.   I  buy a lot from zoom hash and from gawminers.  both are fast and responsive to problems.

So who are you?

43731  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AntMiner S2 1TH/s Miner (1w/GH/s) on: April 16, 2014, 06:42:35 PM

.

@ sbfree - What are your ambient temps?
78-80 degress, cali is getting warm....all 3 are running, 2 fully, 1 with only 9 blades and Without the provide PSU as it shuts down, max temp of all units is 58C as usual on blade 1

The PSU shut down after 8hrs or so....I removed in put in a 1200W temp PSU....checked the bad PSU would power up, but now that its cooled it powers up.

It was hot in New Jersey over the weekend 84 f.  I had to run my central air or my mining garage would over heat.  I decided to sell 2 s-1s'   and now it is back down to 40 f.  LOL.

I am looking to order a 1th machine I am biding my time to decide what to get.
43732  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Just received my new 1th A1 28nm chip ASIC MINER. (video enclosed) on: April 16, 2014, 06:37:42 PM
Yea it would be better if they had the flexibility of fitting your own psu as its something a lot of people dont mind spending the extra on.

Just been reading the reviews on the cougar cx1000 it seems quite a few people have run them at 1000w 24/7 without an issue.   I guess a nice 1200watt unit would give some scope for an over clock

seems like the psu does go over its rating.  the review on the 700 watt shows that.  it is a power hungry psu.  it will do 80 percent on a high draw.

the seasonic I listed does 88-90 percent  so your 1057 watts used would be more like 1057  x = 80/88   or 960 watts

so 100 watts is  2.4 k watts a day or 72 k watts a month at 18 cents a k watt that is 13 bucks a day  so  it would take a while to get the psu cost back in power.

But it would ship without it and be 7 pounds lighter.  makes shipping easy.

I like the 4 blades inside vs 10 or so in the antminer s2.

how big is that cougar psu? 1000 watts?

Fairly compact at 90mm x 60mm its the cmx 1000

thanks  for the reply.

the  miner seems nice.,but I wish it did not come with a psu.

I would drop this one into it.

how big is that cougar psu? 1000 watts?  seems to me if a 1000 watt psu is pulling 1057 watts at the wall you are going to kill the psu.

I think this is the psu http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817553004

has six rails  about 24 amps each . here is a review on a 700 watt version

yep I still earn with the machines as is.  but when diff pushes 25mill th this mod will let the machines earn until diff is about 45mill th.   so maybe 30 or 40 extra days of profit
43736  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AntMiner S2 1TH/s Miner (1w/GH/s) on: April 16, 2014, 03:45:25 PM
so these are not really ready for prime time.

I am still better off running my 5 s-1's at 200gh each.

oh well I will wait .  in the meantime I ordered this psu on account.

I do a lot of ebay sales use the post office a lot. during income tax season the Post offices across the USA hire a lot of temp workers.

So from March 1 to May  1 service   drops off.  Print out your tracking go to the post office inquire politely about any missing packages. I have had issues with 6  out of 50 packages since  March 1.

5 of the 6 were found after I went to the post office.

This one is still missing

https://tools.usps.com/go/TrackConfirmAction_input?origTrackNum=9400109699939791904129

it is a pair of 2x or bi nano furies from this  seller

Swimmer63

but he did the right thing and sent me replacements via  fedex.

To those with batch 2 units. Someone mentioned that there is a new power supply? How many watts now? and how many watts drawing at the wall? Have the new heat sinks improved cooling at all? What is new temp range? and range of temps on chips internally? New Case? Better / worst design? Thanks for any additional information.

HolyScott

yeah what is the new

 'psu'

watts at the wall

db sound level

 what does it clock to?

1100gh at 1100 watts vs 1000gh at 975 watts?
43739  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Electrical Responsbility on: April 16, 2014, 03:25:07 AM
How many AMPs are you pulling? Do you have a standard 200A service?

I doubt they will want to upgrade hardware on their dime, you aren't a typical customer. If you were to move they would have over built, under utilized infrastructure. Time to look into commercial/industrial locals.

if you have city approved permitted 200 amp service    you are entitled to use it.

now   following the  very conservative 75% constant run safety margin you are allowed to pull  150 amps 24/7/365.  that would be 18000 watts non stop.

of course your problem may be the city/town did not permit 200 amp service or you may draw more then 150/200 amps.

good luck fighting them.

put another way " if you are using under 75% of your permitted  amp rating 24/7/365  you should be allowed to get that.  "

Ask the power company to show you in writing that the statement above is wrong.  if you are in an area wide power shortage  brownout they can shut you down.

but in non emergency conditions  they should be required to provide what your city/town  permit rates your home for.

My home has 150 amp 220 volt service  which is split into 2 110 volt rails.  other then one 40 amp fuse for my ac at 220 volt.

I run 6000 watts 24/7/365 for mining in the winter and about 2300 watts in the summer

I think I can do 2 more s-1's but I am looking for a different miner not an s-2 but a 2x anitminer.  Hell even a monarch from  bfl would be nice if it was available.

Any interest in a KNC November Jupiter?  Thinking of selling mine - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=551885.msg6006597

FYI

Doc made a comment a bit back that their software seems to be broken and if your not careful you'll be spending time/power for almost no
return.
well I need to double and triple check this. thanks
